One of the most beautiful and impressive caves I have ever seen in my entire life. It looks like it is out of a fantasy movie. The tour guide spoke in multiple languages and was extremely knowledgable and described how the landscape was formed in great detail. Be prepared for a workout though as the elevator is currently broken and requires you to walk back out of the cave roughly 150 meters from the bottom.

We had to visit this place twice! Tickets are sold at specific times. We arrived at 3:15 PM, and the ticket office closed at 3:00 PM! Tours are given every hour, starting from 10 AM until 3 PM. We had to go another day, and we almost missed it. We arrived at 9:56 and ran to get tickets. We managed to buy them, and the tour started at 10:02. If you couldn't go into the cave, you can walk through the park above and see beautiful rocks! To go down, you need to join a tour. The tour is worth it! You need to see it with your own eyes! The size is huge! You can't take photos inside. It's cool inside. The tour lasts one and a half hours. After the tour ends, you need to make your way back to the parking lot, which will take some time!

Absolutely breathtaking! Caves resembling the Moravian Karst in the Czech Republic, but with significantly larger spaces. It's just a short drive from the highway, so I highly recommend visiting if you're passing by. Due to high demand, especially during the season, it's necessary to book tickets well in advance (we visited in August and had to make a reservation a week ahead). There is a large parking lot in front of the caves, along with refreshments, restrooms, and the option to pass the waiting time with a walk along nearby trails. At first, I was surprised by the ticket price, but it was absolutely worth it! I have never seen anything like it before in my life.

Very beautiful cave. Staff was very nice, even though i did not reserve because i walked all the way from train station they let me join the tour. Only downside is that they don’t allow pictures inside which is a shame because it is so beautiful. This UNESCO World Heritage site, recognized for its massive underground canyon discovered in 1948, showcases extraordinary limestone formations, including dramatic stalactites and stalagmites. The intricate passageways and expansive chambers highlight the caves' geological significance and millions of years of formation.

One of the most beautiful and impressive karstic caves, and the only UNESCO labeled. The excellent guided visit makes you walk through different rooms, which are all jaw dropping, until the cave's deepest point down to the river. The walk back into the woods includes a waterfall and interesting viewpoints. Count between 300-600 stairs steps. Note that no photos are allowed in the cave to preserve it. It's a must visit if you are in Slovenia.

Buy tickets in advance. Avoid the very last slot, because the guides are closing the area and you will be in hurry to take photos. When you want to hear the guide, be very close to the guide. They are not waiting for whole group before they speak. It's not the cheapest visit, but the long circuit with exiting thru option 3 will cover you 3 hours. Be aware. There are hundreds of steps.

Previously visited the Postonjna caves. This is less tourist-oriented and totally different from Postonjna. No comparison at all. Skocjanske caves are also very nice, but not special. Don't understand that the first part is not allowed to take photos without flash as is allowed at other caves. This is all about the river going underground. The 2nd section is definitely worth seeing. You walk the red tour in 45 minutes.
