The 15 Best Restaurants In Downtown Nashville 2024

"Sora, a rooftop spot in The Sheraton, is all about the sushi and the view—360 degrees of windows overlooking the city transport you, especially at night, to somewhere more like Seattle than Music City. It’s the perfect place to sip cocktails with cheeky names like the Super Freak, a jalapeno, tequila, and pineapple number that’s sweet but not too sweet, and step outside the california roll comfort zone. The Bride roll comes generously draped in a yuzu crab mix, and they do a really good vegetarian maki full of hearty sweet potato, a silky corn creme brulee, and tempura fried carrot roll that we always keep talking about long after we leave." - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak

From the moment we stepped off the elevator, our experience at the Skye Lounge was nothing short of amazing. We were warmly welcomed by Hope, who made us feel right at home. Thanks to our reservation, we were seated quickly at a perfect table with breathtaking views — truly top-notch! The ambiance was elegant and relaxing, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Every detail, from the atmosphere to the attentive staff, made this dining experience one to remember. If you’re looking for a spot with stunning views, exceptional service, and a truly elevated experience, the Skye Lounge is it. Highly recommended!

The food, including the sushi fillings, drinks, and sashimi, was perfect! However, the rice for the sushi and nigiri was completely wrong. It was too densely packed, leaving no visibility of the individual grains, which is essential for well-made sushi. Additionally, the rice lacked flavor, likely due to an insufficient vinegar mixture; it simply tasted like boiled rice. On a positive note, Mayra's service was a perfect 10/10, and the ambiance of the place is very nice! However, I wouldn't recommend the lounge area if you're looking for a good view of the sky, as it was hard to see.

I really wanted to give the best review on this lounge because it was absolutely beautiful. The only negative thing I can say is that we never got to try any food because our server disappeared. We got tired of waiting for her to come back so we went elsewhere. To be fair it was a Saturday night so maybe they were short on servers. The view though is amazing and the live music that was going on while we were there was great. The menu definitely had some good options for food and drinks. Clean bathrooms. I'd be willing to give it another try next time I'm in Nashville.

We went for our five year anniversary and really enjoyed the foot and atmosphere. The service wasn’t great we ended up waiting for over about 35+ minutes after they had cleaned up our table for someone to bring us our check until we flagged them down. Highly recommend the crunchy rice! The food was great.

It was our 24th Wedding Anniversary and my husband brought me to the Skye Lounge Sushi Bar. Great environment, wonderful food, Beautiful music and an AWESOME Waitress named NATALIE. To my surprise Natalie helped my hubby surprise me with my gifts. We enjoyed ourselves. It was definitely one memorable evening. We will definitely come back❤️

Quite a mixed bag of experiences we all left with after our visit to the Skye Lounge! Some of my family members ended up disliking it, I personally thought it was quite alright. The seating arrangement was what we all could agree on — that it was awful 😂 we had dinner reservations but were seated on the sofa overlooking the beautiful night views of downtown Nashville. We asked to be seated where there’s a table to keep the sushi 🍱. It’s designed to be more of a lounge and we were mistaken to get dinner reservations there. The high top table was fine but the stools were uncomfortable to some, and table was too small to keep everyone’s multiple plates of sushi, appetizers/Salad, water and drinks. Extremely congested that we started moving things off of the table even before we could finish it just to make more space. Urgh! Food wasn’t bad for me. They have Sushi options for those who’re vegetarians also. Edamame and spring roll bites prior to food were good too. Loved the bang bang shrimp 🍤 appetizer. Salads were good too, the strawberries 🍓 avocado 🥑 walnut salad was good, and excellent vanilla dressing. I’m not a salad fan, but was very impressed with theirs. Most of us had no complaints for food and we all agreed on the stunning views from the lounge. There was live music being played while we were there, she was on the other side of the lounge so we couldn’t see her but on our way back, we saw her perform while waiting for the elevator. It’s an excellent choice to grab a few drinks and have a bite with it but I wouldn’t recommend it for dinner.

Yelp
We ate at the bar, which was a nice option when you're not up for getting dressed up to sit in the main restaurant. You must order at the bar, which isn't very clear. I didn't love that, but it wasn't a deal breaker. The bartender is personable and friendly. We shared three rolls--enough to fill our bellies, but not overfill us. The food was tasty and reasonable in price. It was a nice way to end the day.

Yelp
Ambiance was hip. Music a bit too loud for me. It gave me a headache. High top tables and chairs were comfortable. Service was excellent. The dumplings were a little short on contents and flavor but were perfectly cooked and tasted ok to good just the same. The El Paso rolls were ok. The Wagyu beef was so microscopic that I doubt any reached my taste buds. Truly so little that to leave a comment would be unfair. The rest of the ingredients were ok but nothing to write home about.

Yelp
We had been wanting to try this place for a while now, and finally had the chance to try it out, as I've heard good things about the sushi chef. While the lounge is located at the top of the Sheraton, the hotel offers free two hour parking where you can get it validated at the lounge. We had a reservation and got seated right away at a lounge table with a nice view of the city, as the lounge has a 360 view of the city. Although we didn't get a sunset seat, we were able to still see it! Our waitress was great and she gave us some awesome recommendations which we ended up sticking to! We got the El Paso, Texas roll which was our favorite roll by far. It had Japanese Wagyu on top with crab, asparagus, cucumber, avocado, fried onion strings, and Japanese BBQ sauce. It was incredibly tasty and the wagyu was phenomenal! We also had the fire crunch which came with salmon, spicy crab, cucumber, avocado, scallion, tempura, eel sauce and spicy mayo which was also super tasty and excellent! The last roll we tried was the vegetarian comatose roll. I decided to try that roll because I love cream cheese on sushi! While it was good, I probably wouldn't get it again and would want to try something different. Overall, the atmosphere and vibes are great, and the sushi was amazing. I will definitely be going back.

Yelp
This was such a fun experience. This restaurant is at the top of the Sheraton Grand. The views of the city are amazing. Our server, Maddy was the best. She recommended cooked selections for my husband since he doesn't like raw sushi. The atmosphere is very romantic and relaxing. The spring rolls were a favorite. The food is very flavorful.

Yelp
The views from this restaurant are absolutely breathtaking--easily among the best in the city! If you're visiting, it's a must-see spot. The drinks were fantastic, but the sushi fell a bit short of expectations. You can find better sushi elsewhere for the same or even a lower price. While our server was attentive for most of the meal, we did have to flag someone down to get our bill, which was a small downside. Overall, this place is perfect for enjoying a drink while soaking in the stunning scenery--just skip the sushi and savor the atmosphere instead!

Yelp
Saw beautiful night views of Nashville here! Came for a friend's birthday drinks, and staff members were friendly in helping us move some tables around to accommodate the whole party. I ordered the Soul Train, which was to my liking, as a lighter fruity drink! Overall place and accessible bathrooms all very clean.

Yelp
This has been a regular spot of mine for a while mostly out of convince (i work nearby). The tempura fried veggie sushi is to die for and the views are STUNNING. However since they've recently blown up on tiktok the service is extremely lacking. There is almost never a host at the elevator to greet you and the last 2 times we were there it took 15 mins for us to be greeted by our server/ even receive water. I will always come back for the Comatose Roll but hope the service improves soon.

Yelp
To get there, Walk to the elevators in the lobby across from the market. There are 2 elevators with a skye lounge mat in-front of it. Our "S" to go to Sky lounge. We walked in on a Saturday night with no reservation for a table of 6 and were sat immediately. Views are amazing here!! Very cute selfie station when you come up the elevator as well. As a vegetarian I had the miso soup & Jhonny Mo. Food was a 4/5, I wish I got the fried sushi roll though and would get that next time! the smoked old fashion drink was very different, but good and strong! Good options for vegetarians & server was very kind. Atmosphere was sophisticated.

Yelp
Lovely views, the sushi wasn't that great but the drinks and the atmosphere was really nice.

Yelp
This place has such amazing views. However, the food was not good. The fish is not fresh and their sushi rice is mushy. Almost tastes like grocery store sushi. Very expensive grocery store sushi... service is also lacking.

Yelp
Amazing sushi! Great spot to celebrate a birthday with a group of friends! Service was awesome!

Nathan N.

Yelp
Pros: view, ambiance, service Cons: food - ordered gyoza (average), and a roll (below average - fish was not fresh), pricing (expensive for what you get) Place looked very clean upon arrival, but I was unfortunately greeted by a cockroach at the end of my meal scurrying across the floor. Overall: lots of potential, great service, but leaves a lot to be desired. Conclusion: I will not be coming back.

Kisha C.

Yelp
I would recommend this place. I love the ambience. It's so romantic. The view from the top floor was beautiful. The staff were friendly. I enjoyed my birthday date they gave us champagne for toast. The drinks were tasty I recommend jungle boogie It's my favorite.

Yelp
The martini was perfectly made. Sushi rice was a little rough but sushi tasted very fresh & the caviar was a nice touch. Service was a little slow.

Yelp
If you're looking for a restaurant in Nashville and you're limited on time, don't waste your time here. TBH the drinks were mediocre and although the sushi was fresh, it lacked flavor. I expected more. If you're coming for drinks only, the ambience and view are nice but stick to wine or something that isn't difficult to make. The flavors of their "specialty" cocktails were off. This is not the place for an espresso martini or old fashioned which I'm sad to report. Because, the view deserves to be celebrated with a cocktail. Unfortunately, I wish I had better things to say because I really wanted to like this place.

Yelp
We had Mac as our server and she was the SWEETEST most attentive girly I have met in all of Nashville so far on my trip. Amazing 360 views in this place, great vibes

Yelp
while staying at the Sheraton Grand (Which, BTW, was awesome!) we came up to the 28th floor on a Friday night to check out The Skye Bar. You check in at the lobby level and the host/hostess brings you up to the Skye Bar. They have a fun and interesting cocktail menu, live music and the most AMAZING VIEWS of the city!! Seriously, 360 degree views!! Lots of great seating for groups or just couples. The cocktails were decent too. Highly suggest stopping in here!

Daniel B.

Yelp
Mak and Mya were amazing absolutely outstanding they made me feel like I was at home in the middle of downtown Nashville any time i have the opportunity I will stop by Skye lounge just for the opportunity to have another great experience like I had while up there this past night I highly suggest you come and ask for them

Yelp
We went back twice in a row! Food was great, live DJ was a much needed vibe change from the craziness of Broadway, views were epic all around but our server, Autumn, was so attentive, knowledgeable, sweet, and had that southern charm! Would definitely recommend!!!!

Yelp
Jack and John were fun and amazing bartenders! This place is a hidden gem. Amazing drinks and view!!! Thank you for ending our time in Nashville with a great time.

Ammar F.

Yelp
Food was fantastic but service is very poor. Our server Joe was no where to be found often and after failing to put our order in the first time he was only able to inform of it the items that were sold out after the food arrived. He even charged us for the drinks he said we're in him for the wait. Overall don't eat here and wait for the chefs own pop up's to try them.
