I recently hosted a party at Skylark, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The bar is affordable, clean, and well-kept, which made it the perfect spot for our event. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything ran smoothly. What really stood out, though, was the owner. They were incredibly responsive, caring, and really went out of their way to ensure we had a great time. They made it feel like our event mattered, which is rare and much appreciated! One of the coolest features was the ability to create a custom experience. We were able to curate our own playlist, set up slides, and bring in our own decorations – it felt like a personal touch that made the event even more special. Our guests were all thrilled with the party, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate. If you’re looking for a place with great service, an inviting atmosphere, and the flexibility to make your event uniquely yours, Skylark is the place to go!

It’s not too busy so you don’t have to stand in line. No cover charge before 10 or so which is good and the music is good. The drinks were okay. The dancing stage isn’t big so if you’re there for dancing, you might want to go elsewhere unless you go there early enough when it’s not too busy.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for helping make Saturday, my hubby's 60th Birthday such a wonderful experience! The venue was very nice. We did a Nights in Havana theme everyone couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful everything looked. Tiffany was an absolute gem—so professional, accommodating, and genuinely helpful. She truly went above and beyond, and we couldn’t be more grateful. And Zane (I believe) was wondering as well. And the DJ Genie G...wow! What a find! The music was on point all night, and we’ve had so many compliments about how perfect the vibe was. I think we’ve officially found our go-to DJ! My husband was thrilled, and we’re already looking forward to planning more events with you. You and your team made everything so seamless and enjoyable.

This is a fun and lively space in the Mission to come for cocktails, and it was decorated festively for the holidays. I recently came here for a happy hour event and tried the Jack Frost and Ube Daiquiri drinks. They were extra sweet and tasted like drinkable desserts. I think classic cocktails that are less sweet would be better, but the holiday menu of cocktails were fun to try and cheers with new friends.

Was excited to see the burlesque show but the sound system made it impossible to hear anyone. The comedian was so enthusiastic but I couldn’t hear a thing she said from the middle of the bar. The dancer was hot so that helped!

My roller derby team had an event here and it was amazing. The venue people are easy to work with. The drinks were great!! The atmosphere was amazing. I would absolutely come here again!!!

I tried the Kimchi Martini, and it's a unique delight! The blend of gin, soju, sweet vermouth, kimchi brine, and lime juice offers a surprising and delightful flavor profile. The kimchi garnish adds a tangy kick, elevating the experience.

If you’re looking for great vibes, music, and strong yet tasty drinks, then Skylark is the place to go! Their drink menu is expansive and not sugary. They bring in great DJs who can actually read the room and make you want to dance. We started at skylark for bar hopping but honestly ended up going back because the music and drinks were way better than other bars in the area. The crowd gets lively between 10 and 11 and goes on for a while. I never have a bad time at skylark - I’d highly recommend!

I'd like to share the great experience that we had with Dave and Skylark. Since the beginning Dave was very attentive to details and available to let us come visit the place and answer to our questions. He's staff was AMAZING, super polite and caring. The place is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. There's a lot of place to sit, we had a great experience using the projectors to show pictures and the dj equipment. My husband and I celebrated our wedding with a private event for family and friends. They came from across the country and were so impressed with the place. Thank you for helping the best day of my life be so memorable. We appreciate you.

Dead AF.... really nobody was in the bar. Used be a Bar that represented the melting pot of SF but seems to only wants business of certain people. Made a song request and Asain girl bartender was rude and seemed uncomfortable I made a request to listen to Spanish music ?? Like really we are in the Mission?! Anways washed out place boring and dead ..over priced drinks ...dont waste your time... I MISS THE OLD ORIGINAL SKYLARK

Bottle service at Skylark knows how to make you feel special. Came with a group of about 40-50 for a friend's event afterparty. We worked directly with the venue to organize the experience. When it comes to bottle service, there are a number of packages to choose from with different quantities of benefits like free entries, amount of bottles, etc. Our group was placed to the left of the entrance in a larger table space. This area also had a direct access to the bar which was very convenient so no one had to go out and navigate the floor to make their way to the bar. When the bottles come out, it comes with sparklers and light up signage to commemorate whatever the moment is. The DJ, who plays hip hop, r&b, and top 40s, also chimes on to make the moment extra memorable. Service is friendly and the bottle attendants help pour everyone's first round. Gratuity is included in the bill.

Where to begin - firstly the owners, Dave and Kim, are amazing, communicative, and kind and were incredible in making all our engagement party dreams come true! They corresponded with us for months making sure we had everything we needed. We rented out the entire bar for a very reasonable price, which included two kind bartenders (shoutout Tiffany!) and the space was perfect for our 60-70 person party. Our guests RAVED about the drinks (the speciality cocktails were the fan favorite, particularly the Ube one), and they even set up a slideshow for us to show our guests, as well as let us decorate a little to make the party our own. It was the perfect night and we owe it all to the team at Skylark!! If you're questioning hosting an event, or even stopping by for a drink - DO IT!

I went here for a friends engagement party. They were able to rent out the venue for a few hours. Skylark did an amazing job, down to the custom drinks that were actually really good and allowing them to play videos and pictures of the couple all over the bar and tv. Bathrooms were very clean!

My friends and I had such a fun time at Skylark. The staff and service was so attentive, kind, and accommodating. They frequently checked in on us and were very thoughtful when asking what type of chaser we wanted. The ambiance felt very safe, friendly, and fun! We did end up going a bit earlier in the night, I mean around 11 PM. So not that early lol, but I will say the later it got into the night the more packed the bar became! The owner Kim and her husband were truly great hosts and I have really enjoyed my interactions with Kim so far. I met her husband briefly and he also seemed very nice. He went out of his way to say hello and make sure we were enjoying our night! I brought some of my friends to Skylark, also the pictures on Yelp and Insta made the environment look so fun! People were very respectful around us and the DJ played fun music. We had a bottle of tequila and we definitely had a good night! They also brought out a sign for us and a sparkler which was SO fun. I was kinda surprised and I didn't prepare the message on the sign but my friend picked a good saying. All in all I definitely want to go back! Such a fun time and friendly atmosphere.

I came with a group of 6 people to watch the niners playoff game and indulged in their happy hour specials (maybe too much). $2 tacos and $5 well shots and beers. The bar works pretty fast and was attentive. It got pretty busy as the game went on but ordering wasn't an issue so big shout to the bartenders. They have security and do pat downs for guys. For food, we ordered tacos (chicken, beef, or steak) and fries ($5). Everything was made fresh. My only complaint is that the ordering system is kind of confusing. We order at the bar and then someone brings the food in from outside to the bar. Then the bartender flags down whoever ordered the food. The orders have numbers so I'm not sure why they don't call out the orders. The food ultimately arrives hot and tasted great. I'll be back for another game or HH.

New management, new Skylark! Despite being a popular spot, Skylark hasn't always had the best reputation. But it's under new management and has been newly renovated. It looks great inside! I stopped in to try their holiday drinks, something they've never had and is great to see. The space is decked out in holiday decor and the staff was in the spirit. I tried: Polar Espresso Martini (8/10), Like A Red Nose Mule (9/10), and Dusse Eggnog (9/10), the eggnog was definitely my favorite. It was a weeknight and pretty chill but I know they usually get pretty busy and have great music. Nice to see this place under new management. Excited to visit again!

Skylark is always a good time! The music is guaranteed to be good and the dance floor is going the whole time! Not only is it a good vibe, but the customer service is top-notch. I left my purse there one night and when I called the number online they responded via text immediately. The owner was very responsive and was easy to coordinate so I could pick up my purse. It was the cherry on top of a good night!

We did the DIY cocktail experience and it was lovely!! The bartender was so sweet and helpful. I love how you could add as many toppings and customize how sweet you liked your drink. The music choice was also very good! This is my second time her and I would love to come back!

Drinks were great especially the sex on the beach with the rose vodka. Really adds something to the drink. Service was fast when I was there. I love the bar/dance club vibe. The music was great but kept at a level great for both socializing and dancing. The pink theme is awesome too.

I went to skylark for a comedy show that they have on wends nights now. It's great - they have $2 tacos, $5 beers and $5 shots - is a great deal. Staff for the show and at the bar was both nice.

Thursday Trivia Night is pretty fun. There was supposed to be some Beer Pong afterwards but there was only one bartender and she didn't set it up for the night :( They have a Gamecube for Supersmash Bros & Mario Kart tho. Pretty good drinks too. It was chill.

My favorite bar and club in the city! Their cocktails are SO good and I always have a fun and safe time. There are cool weekly themes/events and a happy hour I have yet to try, but hear good things about. This is also the spot to watch sport games as they have a couple of huge TV screens. Staff are friendly too!

The vibes are IMMACULATE at Skylark! For a cute small bar, this place will pop off! Bay area hip hop and all the bangers got the energy going, a wide menu of unique drinks on 10, and the service is awesome! This review is for the NEW skylark, which is definitely better than the old skylark. Been here twice in recent weeks and had a great time both times. New management definitely switched up the vibe a bit, playing a lot more Bay Area music (What's my favorite word.....") and throwback songs. The dance floor is a pretty good time and I love how they have a water cooler right by the bar for frequent hydration. There is a cover charge though :(

Came here for a drink and stayed for the vibes! Definitely a younger crowd now that it's under new management (it was Halloweekend) but can confidently say it's still my go-to when I'm in the Mission. Also, major shout out to one of the owners-- Dave! Lost a couple things while I was there, and he was quick to get them back to me. (Still missing a gold butterfly ring though, so if any of you've seen it message me!!) Thank you thank you, Dave! I'll be back soon

kimberly is the absolute best! look, if you want to have the best night in SF, come to skylark, ask for kimberly, and youre good.

Cozy bar with nice staff and drinks. We did the Ferris Wheel presentation which was fun and unique. When crowded, it can get loud. It's a nice place to have drinks but not so much to catch up with friends. They also hosted the Yelp Women History month event, which was great. Location is amazing too. Next to lots of other bars and food options.

I have a HUGE PROBLEM with this place....... .....it's that I wish I lived closer!!!! I wish I lived closer to tell how bad this place is.... ....and by "bad" I mean like Michael Jackson's "Bad" album that was cited one of the best-selling albums of all time!! jokes aside, SKYLARK is a gem !! order a drink and you'll know. shoutout to the bartenders, tip them well ;)

I went there on the hip-hop night, and I was frustrated and had the most lackluster experience ever. I think they played everything except hip-hop, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Backstreet Boys, etc.

I initially gave this bar 6 stars...minus one star for not being in LA. Bartenders are very attentive, drinks are amazing, ambiance on point. What more can you ask for?

Had such a fun time here! Celebrated my birthday here with my friends and the vibes were immaculate! The music was great, they had a good mix of current and throwback songs. The staff were so keen on making sure we were well taken care of. Definitely a spot to create some fun memories!

Some tough security guards at club entrance in search for weapons on body and personal belonging. Once we paid to get in the club, we were greeted by friendly staffs at the bar with full variety of liquors to get our party going so as the DJ's up beat music to get our bodies grooving. We had a wonderful time. Definitely return to this safe and friendly club.

Bartenders and management stink. entertainment is cool. Seen some pretty cool DJs pass through but the service there is horrible.

My friends and I waited an hour and a half to get in. While being in front of the line we literally watched security and the promoters letting in random groups in not even VIPS or people with table. They would tell us max capacity and then some random group come, begged the security and promoters they would literally let them in while telling the people that has been waiting for 1-2 hours they're at max capacity. Like what a joke this staffing is. And they have the audacity to film the line to promote their poor staffs and ethnics?

R & B vibes, ambience and good drinks. Can't ask for a better night. Mark took care of us and we couldn't be happier to celebrate my friend's birthday here. We'll be back. Thank you again!

This review is long overdue! We visited Skylark on March 26, 2022. My sister and her partner were visiting from DC, and we had just seen a great show at the Oasis on a Saturday and wanted to dance, but low-key, not pay a cover charge or wait behind a velvet rope, and all that nonsense. So, we were directed to the Skylark, which was precisely what we were looking for. There was a chill vibe to the place, but no one was on the dance floor, so my sister's partner asked the DJ to spin some disco tunes, and my sister practically pulled people to the dance floor until it was the place to be. We had such a good time that we all walked out and completely forgot about her closing out her card. We discovered this the next morning, but the bar was closed for two days, and she was flying out before it re-opened. Luckily, we were able to get in touch with Steve, the owner, who very graciously opened up the bar on Monday morning so, we could dash into the city and retrieve the card. It was a huge relief to know that the card was found and safe, and completed the experience. So, dance the night away, but don't forget to pay your bill!

I used to like coming to this bar and it was years since I went so I decided to have a drink and check it out. Wow...what a mistake. The place still looks the same and it brought back memories, but the bartenders are the worst in the industry. January 7th I walk in and make eye contact with the Asian woman behind the bar. I position my body to her since she's the closest bartender to me. I keep my eyes on her so she knows I'm waiting for a drink. She didn't even acknowledge me once. So I look to my right and see another bartender. Tall black guy, my people, right? Great! Well, maybe not so. He's on his phone and is not giving an F on what's happening around him. I'm standing there for 5min at this point. So back to the lady behind the bar. At this point, one of her male friends walks in and sits right next to me, and she immediately focused her attention on him. Asking him what he wants and how he's been. Like seriously? Ok, let's check back on the other bartender... He finally makes his way over to me and I had to call him out because no one was taking care of me. I ask him "do you make drinks for customers?" He says yes. I follow up with "ok cool because I've been waiting forever it seems." He then claims he was busy and working. Keep in mind he never noticed me while I was there so I know he was lying when I could see him laughing and playing on his phone the whole time. Anyway...I call him out about being on his phone the whole time; he then goes off on me about how he was busy, and he has the right to refuse service and then tells me I have to leave. While this is happening the lady bartender is just looking lost at us. Like lady...you saw me waiting. I won't be returning if those two bartenders are there.

Skylark is my go-to spot for dancing in the Mission! If you're looking for an intimate, but lively vibe with great hip hop music and a full dance floor, this is the place. The DJs never disappoint, so expect to dance all night

Walked into this bar anticipating having "one" drink. The atmosphere here is filled with artistic individuals with neighborly conversations & humor. I got to see a burlesque show that was everything sugar, spice & everything nice! The drinks, music & overall vibes makes this place certain to check out. Don't forget to appreciate all the art work all over either!

My purse was stolen from this bar last night and I am trying to get survelliance footage to share with the police. There were many bouncers and bartenders who didnt offer much help. Went back today and a nice woman bartender took my name down and said she would call me if she hears anything. I would offer a cash reward for the purse back.

We were lured into this bar one Friday night after seeing a sign outside mentioning their burlesque show. The environment inside is dark and low key. There was mainly just one bartender there during my visit, but he was able to manage all of the drink orders very well. The cocktails and other drinks are fairly priced. The cocktails taste good, but not super memorable. For unique craft cocktails, there are plenty of other choices within a mile of this place. This place is perfect if you just want to hang out somewhere without any extra frills and enjoy yourself. Along with the burlesque performances, there was also a comedian and another type of performer.

the lark is the greatest bar I've ever stepped foot in. I've never felt more at home. I can never appreciate it enough. The drinks and good and strong. They got pupusas next door. Hoop on the screens. The burlesque show. Dj's pullin up. Staff cool. Security on the weekends cool. The strip in front is poppin. Home of the black kyles. I hope this spot last forever.

I was really excited for the 2000's Hip hop and R&B night, got on the guest list and everything, was in like by 9-915. The post said by 930 to be there for free entry I respect the rules and I was there, there was only one guard and that dude was taking his time, checking people in. Like come on bro, then when me and my group finally get to the front, it's like 935. Come on now, you should honor that free entry. overall I've been to Skylark before I understand that you're under new management but this management needs to get it together real soon because that is not fair whatsoever you wanna charge $30 come on bro $30 as a cover charge to get in that is complete bullshit. Let's be very honest, if you wanna charge $30 at least have 2 to 3 security guards out there checking people in so that those who took the time to sign up on the guest list get in when they need to. As a first time we're back to Skylark man I don't know I might go back I might not. I have no idea. To be very honest if they keep doing this and people keep noticing they're gonna lose business real fast and under this new management y'all need to get it together bro.

I find myself in the Mission every now and then for a drink. I always can count on Skylark as the spot for locals to get some really inexpensive mixed drinks. If you are looking for dark, divey, and cheap drinks this is the place to be. Pours are quite generous and you're not spending a fortune for a gin & tonic. They have a large selection of spirits to choose from so I'm sure you'll find something. Service is friendly here and they do take credit cards which is a huge plus if you're running up a tab.

Update: I haven't heard back from the company or owner about my lost black bag, been waiting for months. Not sure what's going on, not even a courtesy message back, just plain ignoring me. Can anyone help me get my black bag back?

This place is awesome. I went last weekend with a couple friends from work and initially wasn't super excited but after being there for 15 min. I started to feel much better and relaxed. The Bartender was super cool and funny not to mention absolutely bomb and on point. I expected her to be stuck up based on how most good looking bartenders are but to my surprise she had me cracking up and laughing with both my buddies. I think her name was Zena like the tv show but we are all going back this weekend because its so chill. The atmosphere was all off the hook and I felt like I had been going there for years. Party Rock Wednesdays NO more... *SIGH* Remember when you can party every night of the week, get smashed, and STILL arrive to work on time, bright-eyed and bushy tailed? Sadly, those days are long gone for me. Nowadays, I can't even make it to 8 PM after happy hour as my eyelids droop faster than when an 80 year-old grandma takes off her bra. Anyhow, for those 20-something young professionals who I envy, the BEST night to come to Skylark is on Wednesday nights for Mixtape Wednesday. It's the only night of the week they charge a $5 cover (after 10 PM) so you know it's crackin'. The DJ spins a good mix of Old-Skool Hip Hop to keep your booty movin' all night. Being the Golden Girls that we are, I being Blanche, the liquid courage inducing man-hungry fluezy sans the male admirers, my girls and I came to Skylark a week and a half ago for some post-dinner drinks. Skylark- A local neighborhood bar in the Mission. Last night I just needed a night out due to a frustrating day. Luckily I remembered my friend throws parties here every Wednesday, so I knew were to go. I don't usually hang out on the weekdays but I hear Wednesday nights here is the place to be. When I arrived, barely no one was there, so my friend and I had a drink. 30 mins later a couple of my other friends joined me and I noticed the place got packed! Note this place is not big at all, just a small bar with a capacity of about hmmm maybe 70? Music was old school hip hop and a diverse crowd. Drinks were averaged price, with a small dance floor. Overall..I had a good time, I had forgotten that a lot of people go out on a Wednesday night. Cool chill spot to hang out at.
