The Best Chili in Cincinnati: 10 Restaurants to Not Miss | Eater

"No list of Cincinnati chili parlors would be complete without mentioning Skyline Chili. While it’s not the oldest parlor still in existence, it is the largest chain, with 160 restaurants in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Florida. It’s so ubiquitous that Cincinnati chili is often colloquially just known as “Skyline” to out-of-towners. The chili here is sweeter than others, so patrons often spice it up with the house hot sauce, a mix of Tabasco, jalapeno, and cayenne pepper. Skyline’s chili is also widely available in cans and frozen in regional grocery stores." - Andy Brownfield

The Chili is definitely different. I could taste the clove in the sauce. The atmosphere was very nice . The young lady gave me a Lil sample to try. It's an acquired taste but I wanted to see what the hype was with chili and spaghetti mixed. Here visiting my sister for our mother's birthday. As far as recommendations I'd say of you are food come try the Chilli dogs at least and the chili. Guess I'm just a southern girl at heart . We appreciate the hospitality. 😊♥️

My friends and I tried Skyline Chili today for the first time and went to this location for a late dinner. There was a dedicated parking lot for Skyline customers with free 1 hour parking. We were served immediately, our food came out very quickly, and had a great time! I had a small 3 way, it was very good. No complaints at all other than the pretty harsh fluorescent lighting, but it just added to the “cafe” atmosphere.

Had the regular sized 3-way chili and 1 cheese coney at this location. I don’t know what they put in here but I couldn’t stop eating it was so good!! And the best part was I had to double and triple check the menu to see that I was ordering the main thing here because it was so cheap!

Google
Friends has told us "you have to try Cincinnati chili at Skyline", we loved it! The chili was very good (different from our traditional Texas chili), fast friendly service and nice "diner" vibe.

Urgent Complaint Regarding Cashier Behavior and Overcharge at Skyline Location Dear Skyline Chili Customer Service, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at one of your locations. I recently visited [insert the location or address of the Skyline if you have it] and had an extremely unpleasant experience with the cashier on duty. Not only was I overcharged for my meal, but the food was overcooked and inedible. When I returned to the store to address the issue, the cashier treated me with a nasty attitude and was disrespectful throughout the interaction. Instead of attempting to resolve the problem professionally, he became rude and dismissive. To make matters worse, when I asked how to contact the franchise owner or file a formal complaint, he stated that he “doesn’t have a franchise number” and showed no interest in helping me further. I actually have a video recording of this incident, which I am willing to provide upon request. As a loyal customer, I expected better from Skyline. I am requesting the following: A full refund for the overcharged and poor-quality food A formal apology for the disrespectful behavior Information on how to contact the owner or franchise representative for this location Confirmation that this complaint has been documented and investigated

I was quite surprised to hear that Cincinnati actually has its own special chili so had to check it out on a trip. The famous place to go to was Skyline Chili so that's where we went. Actually ordered the food to go so we could just have it from home, and no regrets. Chili came steaming hot and quite a large volume of it as well. Turned out the specialty is actually chili on spaghetti which is surprising! We ordered the small order of the spaghetti and there was still quite a lot in there! It's called the 3-Way (spaghetti covered with secret-recipe chili and topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese).

The Clifton Skyline is where my 1st Skyline experiences happened...during The 80s my sister lived 2 buildings away...so when I'd go there on the weekends ...I had plenty of Skyline 😋

Yelp
Skyline chili is an institution in this city of Cincinnati and I had to try it. I am a personal fan of chili and this one is truly unique. It is flavored with either cinnamon or cloves or something to that effect.. I can't tell. However it is very different. I got the spaghetti with chili and a mountain of shredded cheese and the hot dog that is loaded with the same. What an experience! They had an open kitchen and I got to see how the food was assembled. Fun! Casual. Good service. Please come and create your own adventure.

Yelp
Skyline is a must whenever you're visiting Cincy and this location has a lot of memories as an alum from UC. I used to walk down from campus with friends, or stop in with family, and now whenever we visit town we make it a point to stop in. This location has a lot of charm, and a parking lot- which is a big win. The food is consistent and they have some merch that's specifically for this location. The team here has always been friendly and it's often students from UC who are helping you. My go to order is two cheese coneys and a chilito. We live in California now and while we buy cans of chili and make three ways at home, you really cannot replicate the coneys or the chilitos. I'm thankful for all the memories and meals this location has supplied me over the years.

Yelp
Popped in as soon as we arrived in Cincinnati. Plenty of seating and an amazing server! Food was delicious. Parking is easy! We have visiting this one several times - always a pleasant experience.

Yelp
Fun fact: this is the Skyline location shown in the Simpsons (season 32, episode 8). I'm from Arizona but love going to Skyline for cheese coneys every time I visit. A must!

Yelp
Do NOT get the chili spagetti no cheese, this has definitely went through the intestines of another human.

Yelp
While passing through Cincinnati, I decided I needed to try Skyline Chili. A Small 5-Way and a cheese Coney, both with extreme habanero cheese. And funnel fries to finish the meal. Very enjoyable lunch!

Yelp
This was my first time trying skyline chili. Vibes: I really loved the vibes. The layout with the grill in the center and then the old timey hanging glass lamps with stools at the bar was great. It felt historic but not grungy. I thought the service was fast too, and paying at the counter was nice. This was a good experience in terms of those things. I got the chili with dogs. And the dogs were fine. But unfortunately I did not like the chili. It was served under a mountain of shredded cheddar. And the chili just was very runny and had an odd texture. Maybe I'm just not used to this kind of chili, but this chili was very very "fine" meaning it was ground into very small bits so that it was more like a slurry than a chili. It ended up feeling watery. The flavor of the chili was weird too. There was a lot of allspice flavor with notes of cinnamon and cloves. This was a strange taste. So unfortunately I did not like their chili, which is the main thing this restaurant makes...

Yelp
What can I say, when in Cincinnati do as they do! Went because we were told we had to, I was very surprised with how much I actually liked this, we both finished our plates. Love it!

Yelp
We are traveling from out of town and loved it. Honestly, surprisingly good. It was something different than we are used to. Between all of our party, we tried just about everything on the menu, and everyone loved it. The chili and spaghetti is unique. I'll say that we don't have other Cincinnati chili spaghetti food experience to compare it to - but we really enjoyed it. Kind and super fast service. Diner vibes. Very good. Good prices for the food.

Yelp
On November 30 just before the Cincinnati Bearcats football game, my fiancée and I stopped at Skyline to try it for the first time. Living in the south, we do not Skyline Chili. The food we got was delicious, but we did not see the hype for Skyline. Willing to try Skyline again, but I just don't see the craziness over it.

Yelp
Family group lunch on weekend, staff were so accommodating, set up tables quickly, special requests noted, servers changed shift but everyone got their food orders, as requested, great experience for some family members who are newcomers as well as long time residents of Cincinnati

Yelp
I was visiting Cincinnati so decided to try their signature food. Skyline Chili offers several variations - I ordered the dish that begins with spaghetti, covered with chili, topped with onions, beans and lots of cheese. They prepare all of the dishes right in front of the counter which is where I sat. The servers were constantly wiping down the prep area keeping it clean. would point out that the small size was quite large but there are multiple sizes of many menu items. The restaurant was really busy with persons of all ages. A plus is their own parking lot since it's located downtown.

Yelp
I spent some time this summer in different parts of OH-I-O this summer. Chillicothe, Cincinnati, Circleville to name a few. I love Ohio and all the people I have met along the way over the years! Ok, SKYLINE CHILI! It's expensive as hell to buy in the airport. Wait until you drive away to find a local restaurant. They are allllll over. I visited the original one, on multiple occasions, because I stayed up the street and around the corner at the Graduate Hotel, located on the campus of University of Cincinnati. The service was top notch! Upon entering, a hearty greeting from all the workers. Similar to the NC greeting at any Waffle House. I ordered the 5 way with jalapeno cheese each time. They bag the cheese on the side for to-go orders. I love that! Not a fan of baked spaghetti or thick melted cheese. Side note: They have these little half filled packets of hot sauce that I am a fannnnn of! Made sure to take a few to stow away in my luggage to bring back to NC for a little zing! Watch out now Popeyes! This little hot sauce zip is almost as close as yours, except the sauce packet is full! Can't wait to taste the "either you like it" or "not" flavors of cardimon, star aninise, bay leaves, and other spices for a traditional 5 way Skyline spaghetti dish. Cincy's in Greensboro NC will give this business a run for their money. That jalapeno finely shredded cheese option sets it apart! Sounds like a Cincy's trip on tomorrow for me!

Yelp
Well I honestly didn't know what to expect when I first was brought to this joint. I never heard of this place before and he suspiciously was grinning when we pulled up there. He asked if I wanted a "coney" kind or "spaghetti" kind - I opted for the latter. As I uncovered the 3 Way "spaghetti" in front of me, I thought I was about to dive into a classic spaghetti dish. Boy, was I in for a surprise! Little did I know that this was no ordinary pasta dish - it was chili in disguise! The first bite hit me like a punchline I didn't see coming - unexpected but undeniably memorable. I immediately went to look at the menu to read the description of this dish. It says: "our signature dish-steaming spaghetti covered with our secret-recipe chili and topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese". Hm, secret-recipe... well that didn't help explain what I just tasted lol. Taking another bite, the confusion started building up as I tried to make sense of the unexpected flavor medley. It wasn't until later on that I learned about the secret arsenal of cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and allspice lurking in their chili. It was definitely like a culinary whirlwind had swept me off my feet, leaving me both bewildered and oddly intrigued. And while Skyline Chili is a pride and joy of Cincinnati, I can't say I'm a convert to the fan club on my first try. I do appreciate the boldness of the flavor palette in their Americanized saltsa kima (traditional Greek meat sauce), and safe to say that it's a taste adventure I won't soon forget.

Yelp
Went here for a late night bite= loooved the interior! They served me very quickly and I appreciated that- I was hungry! Skyline is always a great chili go to- I am not from Cincy, so it really is a delicacy to get it. The diner feel and the shredded cheese were my favorite part. I recommend stopping in no matter what the time or weather is!

Yelp
Food... for an out of state person, the chili is kind of odd. Not bad, just not what we're used to. It's sweet. We got a 3 way, cheese fries and a coney. We both thought the coney and fries were great. The 3 Way was just a lot. Our waitress was SO sweet and attentive. We were in and out pretty quickly. The ambiance was that of a diner and it was a fun environment to be in. Not sure it lived up to the hype, but glad we tried it!

Yelp
I learned last week while visiting Ohio that eating chili and spaghetti is a "thing" there. It's like having beignets at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans or dining at Katz's Deli in New York City. In Cincinnati that food tradition is followed at Skyline Chili. Or at least I was told that and at this location in particular. It seems that Skyline is the most famous restaurant that specializes in chili on pasta or on a coney (hot dog for us Southerners). I dined here for lunch last Saturday after visiting the nearby Cincinnati Zoo. They have their own free parking lot behind the restaurant and is the best place to park. After being seated in this "diner" style restaurant my waitress Aubrey explained to me that there are about 200 Skyline locations in the greater Cincy area! That's a lot. I did notice one in the airport when I arrived and another at the Zoo that I had just left so she is probably right. They are all over. The menu is pretty simple and I ordered a 4 way large size. I chose beans to be added but didn't want the raw onions or it would have been a 5 way. With a soft drink and tax the meal cost $15 and came out in about 5 minutes. It was a big plate of 'ghetti with a heaping portion of chili and ALOT of shredded cheese on top. The meal was very good tasting and filling. I liked the chili flavor (4) but prefer my beans larger than that. It was a lot of food and I would order it again. Aubrey did a great job waiting on me and was friendly and personable. I like this restaurant as it has character and is in an interesting location near other bars and eateries.

Yelp
We are visiting Cincinnati and asked a park ranger where to eat. They suggested Skyline Chili and it did not disappoint! Corner Diner ambiance was fun (parking across the street was easy!) We had the 3-way and a coney and our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and that's with us being hungry! Service was excellent, food was hot and really good.

Yelp
Well, we're in Cincinnati, and Skyline Chili had to be done, so we did it. We came to the Ludlow location because the original one has closed and this is the oldest surviving one and seems to be the most beloved in the city. It's got that generic diner-y vibe without much of the charm unfortunately, but the folks are nice and this feels like an important part of Americana food, so take it for what it is. We ordered the classic 3-way, a Greek salad, a garden salad, some fries, and a pasta and cheese for our daughter. So, the 3-way is...interesting. Like, the concept if well-executed could be delicious, but we did not love what we were provided here: mushy soft pasta, followed by chili that was a bit too sweet and runny/watery, followed by a mountain of shockingly orange shredded cheese. We thought that taking a bite of it all together would be the ticket, but no. We're not knocking it! We know people love this dish, but it just wasn't for us. The salads were a nice crunchy contrast, and their Greek dressing is supposed to be special, but tasted like Kraft. Fries weren't great, but our daughter appreciated getting spaghetti with cheddar cheese. All in all, we're glad we came and gave it a go, but can't say that we loved it. Still, long may this place reign in the hearts of Cincinnatians.

Yelp
This Skyline is the best in the city! The workers are always so efficient and kind, often getting food to you within 5 minutes of you ordering. The place is incredibly clean, and you can see employees vacuuming or detailing windows often. Their parking lot is a great reprieve from street parking, and it is always nice to walk down Ludlow to Graeters after your meal!

Sandy B.

Yelp
Why is it we just spent $25 for child's 3way bean, reg 3 way, 1 coney no cheese????? Not going back to any skyline.
google avatar

Brent W.

Yelp
Just a quick lunch while in Cincy for work. I opted for a couple of cheese coneys. Delish! This location is one of the really old and popular locations.
google avatar

Joey Y.

Yelp
I happened to be in Cincinnati for a business trip with coworkers. As a native, I of course took them to experience Graeters and Skyline Chili at the og spot. They inquired about the nature of chili so I told them it's basically a super food. I got a 3 way and a cheese coney. It was just as I had remembered. Most of the others enjoyed the chili, one converted from Californian to Cincinnatian and obtained a can of it to pray to. Service was very nice and took this photo for us.

Kathleen K.

Yelp
Told had to try this classic, we did. It is an experience but don't expect a large taste festival. It is fair more like the Wendy's of burger world this is to the chilli world

Corey S.

Yelp
I just ordered three cheese coneys from there and it was sloppy as hell with sauce my buns was soggy I did not like it at all it pissed me off
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
A Cincinnati staple, I knew I had to stop by here on my trip. Cincinnati chili is an interesting concept - more akin to a pasta meat sauce than the chili I'm familiar with, plus some Greek influenced seasoning that includes a hefty amount of cinnamon. I wasn't sure what I was going to think of it, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Skyline offers just a few items and they're all centered around the chili naturally. I ordered a small 3 way which was unique and surprisingly tasty. I also ordered 1 cheese coney which is basically a chili cheese dog and it was also incredibly good. This is more on the level of junk food than anything. This is not fine dining by any means. It reminds me a quite bit of the culture around Rochester garbage plates (which if you've never had, highly recommend). Really enjoyed my experience here, probably not a place I'd frequent often if I lived in the area, but definitely a must visit at least once in your lifetime kind of place. Super cool experience and also I forgot to mention, incredibly cheap!
google avatar

Notoya S.

Yelp
Came here as a walking and the staff was welcoming and greeted you as you came through the door . I was able to get a seat as I entered, the waitress came over and took my order immediately . The kitchen is an open concept space so you can see the staff making your food . I had no issue but the Three stars for the food itself; It was very different for me and I like and eat just about anything . Wasn't disappointed, just not for me .
google avatar

Yelp
OG diner ambiance, historic downtown walking location, bar stool counter seating if you're solo, or tables with chairs if you have more or need the private space to spread out. Free parking in the back too! Sold! But you're not here for any of those things, you're here for the piles of fluffy cheese on the 3-way, 4-way, or 5-way chili heaped onto spaghetti or a hot dog. The salads are just a digestive for the main course and your vegan friend who needs something to eat while taking in the lure of a classic Cincinnati Chili plate. Flavors are mild and classic Cincinnati Chili- so the hot sauce is there to spark your tongue which probably has experienced far too many electrified Doritos hopped up on chemically modified ingredients in its lifetime to appreciate the subtle flavors of cinnamon and clove tucked in that chili. I fell in love with the server when she asked if I wanted an extra refill for the road to go. That's a rare ask, and yes I left extra tip because she reminded me that now I don't need to get another drink along the road to keep washing down those Chili flavors. The small portion and a side salad was a perfect balance for lunch. If I'd been extra hungry, I probably could have taken down a medium for lunch, but maybe I'd consider sharing a large with a willing partner who wanted the same way.
google avatar

Jeff W.

Yelp
I've been here many times, as my daughter attended UC for 5 years. Can't believe I didn't review this place. Not the original Skyline (but close), but definitely the most popular. Always get a 5-way and 2 Coneys. That's my go to. We came here with 10 people for lunch. They were able to accommodate. Always the best.

Yelp
Skyline is such a Cincy classic and one of my first food stops every time I'm in town as it reminds me of college. This location always has kind servers and tends to stay busy at night. This location is open late too!

Yelp
There's a good reason this chili is an Ohio staple. The unique flavor, menu, and atmosphere give you an experience unlike any other. The foods are so "simple" but so good!

Yelp
A Cincinnati staple! This is the best location if you're in town and want to try out Skyline. Great atmosphere!

Yelp
What a fun, family-friendly diner for a taste of Cincinnati chili! We fed our whole family of five for $25, and everything was delicious! Our server, Megan, went above and beyond in taking care of us, even bringing out an extra dog on a bun for our three-year-old who didn't want the cheese coney we got him. We followed a yelper's recommendation to order a Greek salad to go with our meal and it was the right choice. So glad we stopped here for a late-night bite!

Yelp
A Cincy classic that you can't get anywhere else!Their chilito is a gamechanger that differentiates themselves from Gold Star. Easy to eat on the go now! HEAPING mounds of shredded cheese on everything keep in mind that fast food is fast food.. Def worth a try if you're in town! Their 3 Way (Spaghetti) and Chili Cheese Coneys are my go-tos!

Yelp
Skyline Chili is a staple of Cincinnati cuisine near the college campus in uptown Cincy. The place is a corner shop with two doors and a giant layout like a fishmonger's at a market: only this one is devoted uniquely and entirely to the art and craft of making chili with cheese and spaghetti. The crew that work here are fast as lightning. You walk in - zero line. The kid says what can I get? You say what type, what ingredients and what size and 60 seconds flat it gets handed to you in a container and bag! Skyline is more high line! The chili is juicy, soft and wafting with all sorts of midwestern flavors and seasonings. The cheese is super thin and stringy and soft. It melts atop your mound of Ohio chili like ice cream in the hot sun. It's delicious. I seriously considered going back for seconds and thirds. Then groups of people migrated in there to eat. Then college kids, and more college kids. Then the local police came for dinner. All the city came here to eat! And they had no issue at all serving them chili-dinner. Brief comment: the chili is inexpensive and it could easily hold in a very cold fridge for 5 days or more; only it's so delicious and flavorful, there won't be any leftovers - at least there wasn't for me. Review: 5+ star food

Yelp
I've been to Skyline before, but not this location. The dining room is clean and prettty spacious. This service here is great and they get you in and out. That's what I love about Skyline. Cheap, fast, and most importantly delicious. This place also reminds me of a taco place in Chicago that seats you and immediately ask what you want to order without giving you menus. I knew what I wanted but unfortunately I came with my brothers who have never eaten here before so we asked for menus and probably through them off a bit. The only way to get Cincinnati style chili is five way. You get the spaghetti, covered in chili, beans and onions; and the topped off with a crap load of cheese. You also get oyster crackers and put some hot sauce on top and that's all she wrote. Very tasty and very filling. I have no problem with skyline at all, but when I do return to Cincinnati, I'll most like check out another chili place before coming back to Skyline.
google avatar

Patrick O.

Yelp
I don't live in Cincinnati and as a visitor/tourist the trip would not have been complete with out Skyline. This location in particular has a lot of personality. But before you get into the store you need to park and as luck would have it, they have their own parking lot with quite a bit of space. If it is full then you have metered parking on the street. The restaurant has a very old school feel to it that really works. You have the option to sit at tables or the bar. Our server was great. She was prompt, polite and able to answer our questions. I got a three-way (chili, onions and beans) heaped on top of spaghetti and it was great. The chili is on the sweeter side so it might not be for everyone. But it's also a very unique aspect of Cincinnati culture that everyone should try at least once. I'd totally return to this location.

Yelp
Juyoung - Black Bean and Rice Chilito 3/10 Small "burrito", more like an enchilada w/out the sauce. The filling is about 50% cheese, and the rest (bean/chili and missing rice) amalgamates into this weird sludge with the consistency of over saturated mud. I squeezed the filling out like toothpaste. Max - Garden Salad. It was a crispy salad. 7/10 Thanks Skyline! Kaitlyn - Garden Salad without croutons. 4/10 an ungodly amount of cheese, which arguably should have been expected. Somehow spent $20. Will - Regular sized three way. 12/10 I do not have any other words other than awesome... If I lived in Cincinnati, I would eat this for breakfast lunch and dinner. I WILL come again and my many compliments to the chef. Thank you. Thank you so much. Megan - 3-way potato with vegetarian chili. 3/10 I really liked the water that I ordered with my food because I was really thirsty. The food was alright but it was a bit much and I wasnt the biggest fan of the flavor. I liked the potatoes but the chili and cheese werent my favorite. It was $9. Christa - Chicken bacon ranch wrap (but w/o cheese or ranch). 5/10 It was the most regular wrap I've ever eaten. Not offensive but not amazing. Bacon was pretty good tho. Would've been better if I could have ranch, but probably would be worse with cheese based on the cheese I witnessed around me.

Yelp
Wow yummy! Okay I'm unashamed if I say I tried the frozen section of Skyline Chili and it was the closet I could get to the real thing. Well! I made it here and had the real deal! Let's just say the frozen has nothing on the real sit down in the restaurant and eat it! Wow! Just wow! It was so good I got the regular and devoured it! This is the place to come! The staff was amazing! There is parking for the restaurant. You won't have to drive around looking they have their own parking. Prices are cheap too! If you are ever in the area I suggest stopping here and enjoy a traditional meal!

Yelp
Back to update my 9/2020 review. I love Skyline Chili and have packed on another 50 pounds in three years eating enormous amounts of food washed down with lemon drop martinis. Whenever you are in Cincinnati make Skyline your first stop! Life Hack - get some chili to go for smothering some rubbery boiled Bar-S weenies at 2 a.m. - you will thank me.

Yelp
I came here with high expectations (May 14th at 16:30) as Cincinnati chili has great reputation. Maybe if the service was good, I could forgive the mediocrity of the chili itself. I came in, seated myself and this server was quite rude and short with me, as if my contribution to the business totally annoyed her. I finished my food, and upon paying at the cashier, she actually should have given me the receipt and gave me a snarky smile and response "oops sorry I forgot to give you the receipt" Passive aggressive much? The cashier was not much better: He did not say thank you! I understand it's cheap fast food but still, a little enthusiasm and good manners wouldn't hurt. TL:DR keep your expectations low at this location, then you won't be as disappointed. Or perhaps you'll still be ‍

Jerry S.

Yelp
This is the 2nd time in 2 months I've ordered a large 3 way bean at the Richwood ky drive through all spaghetti and no chilly to speak of. Lota cheese tho. So dry you have to drink constantly. Probably won't go back

We love skyline so much we made a trip down to this one! Which is the oldest standing skyline after the original got torn down in 02. It is cute and takes you back in time a little. There is parking out back. The food was delicious as always! We live in Columbus and get it all the time but the chili was different here, still amazing though! The server was super sweet. The cashier could've paid a little more attention is my only complaint. They sell some merchandise here skyline coney hats and a 3 way hat, and a tshirt and long sleeve. The shirts were $20. I wish they had kids sizes though it's my sons favorite restaurant and he wanted one of their shirts.

Yelp
So in my time in Cincinnati, I've met two types of people. One, who love Skyline "chili" and absolutely swear by it, and recommend this place every other time you hang out with them. Two, who despise it, and treat it like shitty food you eat when you are drunk. I stumble into a range between these ends. I don't love it, I'm okay with it. A friend and I got here for lunch. He ordered the cheese coney, I got the 3 way (they should think about renaming this along with the 4 and 5 way options). If you love cheese, you'd love this. The amount of cheese added is insane! If you like chili, and have had the authentic kind, you are likely to be disappointed. The service is pretty much good. I've never had complains. The place is clean, with plenty seating tables as well.

Yelp
I love Skyline. Always have. Always will. We have plenty of these in Louisville, but for some reason the exact same foods just taste better when you eat it in Cincy. To end our recent trip to Cincinnati, we had a long day and were tired, starving and just ready to go home. We wanted to get some food before heading home, so we hit up the closest Skyline we could find. This location is particularly cute, with its old fashioned 'diner style' on the outside. It's also open super late and is in a popular district. The inside is pretty spacious too. We were planning on going through the drive thru, but since this location didn't have one we dined in. Thankfully, the service was lightning fast...like, I think we spent 15 minutes tops in there with table service. I've had just about everything and I love it all. The chili cheese fries are my go to, though. The cheese alone I could just die for.

Yelp
It tastes like home. Whenever we visit from NY we eat here. It was wonderful taking the kids for their first time. Family friendly. Delicious simple food.

Yelp
Had to try skyline chili on my brief visit to Cincinnati. I ordered the 5 way (spaghetti, chili, cheese, onions, and beans) and the hot dog with the skyline chili and cheese on it. The skyline chili is thinner than most chili I'm used to. It had some cinnamon taste to it and just a bit of a kick. The cheese is pretty much just your standard store bought shredded cheddar cheese. The hot dogs were plain hot dogs with the same sauce on top. Service here was very solid, and it was a decent enough dining experience. I'm glad I got to try it during my visit to Cincinnati, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it in the future.
