"Ferris Wheel Overlooking Centennial Olympic Park If you're short on time in Atlanta , now there's a way for you to see most of the sights in a matter of minutes. SkyView, the city's newest attraction, is a Ferris wheel that soars 20 stories above the ground. You can park at any of the lots surrounding Centennial Olympic Park before boarding a gondola. From above, you'll be able to see the buildings of downtown, the CNN Center, the Georgia Aquarium, and the World of Coca-Cola. SkyView is open every day until 11 p.m. and beyond. The 15-minute ride is $13.50 for adults, $12.15 for seniors and military, $8.50 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for kids under 2. If you're feeling like a big shot, go for the VIP flight, which allows you to skip the line to board a plush gondola, complete with leather seats and a glass floor. It will set you back $50 per person, but each capsule can hold five people, making this the ideal place for a special occasion."

I went to SkyView Atlanta around 9pm, before closing- and there was absolutely no wait. $20 to go around 4 times seemed somewhat worth it, and I enjoyed the views. Staff was friendly and it was a smooth process. Was it anything insanely special? No. But it was peaceful and nice to see the entire downtown Atlanta. Views of the Olympic Park to the west, and Downtown to the South. The lights were appealing, and they had vendors and a lively atmosphere outside the attraction. I would go again. Pictures they take of you are insanely overpriced- They are printed and (assumingly) immediately thrown away because nobody buys them. Seems like they are losing money on that and should just give them as complimentary and part of the ticket price- even if they have to raise it by $5. Air Conditioned ride so it was very comfortable!

Fun experience right by Centennial Park! It’s a great add-on if you’re already visiting the World of Coca-Cola or the Aquarium. Just a heads-up — you’ll need to find metered or paid parking nearby.

Google
Cool experience. I recommend going at night so you don’t have to wait outside in the heat. Each gondola has an AC unit so there’s cool air going the whole time. You can fit up to 6 people but 4 is probably more comfortable- we only did 2. It’s about 7-10 min and we made 4 rotations.

Get High (on Life… and the SkyView Ferris Wheel 😂) LOVED this ride! Sitting way up high, you can see everything—Centennial Olympic Park, the Aquarium, the World of Coke, and the whole Atlanta skyline. I mean… I was so high up, you’d think I was floating off something stronger than just joy. Call me Chief because I was sky-high, OK?! 😂 Now, I’ll admit—my friend was a little scared (OK, low-key panicking), but the ride itself goes nice and slow, and each gondola is enclosed with A/C. I say “A/C” lightly though, because while there is air conditioning, it definitely could use an upgrade. It gets a little stuffy, especially if you’re thinking too hard about how high up you are. Not ideal if you’re even slightly claustrophobic. In fact, there’s literally a sign at the bottom warning people with claustrophobia to skip the ride. And I agree—this is NOT the one for you unless you’re medicated, spiritually centered, or maybe a glass of wine deep. If not, you might find yourself asking for a 9-1-1-style exit. 😅 But for the rest of us—this ride is fire. You get about five minutes of amazing views, and it’s totally worth the ticket. I had so much fun and would definitely do it again. Highly recommend it for visitors, date night, or just a fun break in the city. SkyView Atlanta: where you go to get high… legally and in style. 😎🎡

Google
I think it is a bit pricey (about $22 with fees and taxes) but it was a fun thing to do. Good view of the city, the aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, Olympic Park, etc. We found meter parking around there too. Public restrooms and snacks on site. The whole thing lasted 10 minutes.

Google
Just an okay experience. The views were great but its not something you need to put on your bucket list. Had it not been included on our Sightseeing Pass, I would not have paid regular price for it.

Google
We had a fantastic experience at SkyView Atlanta with our family, including our little kids! The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, and the ride felt smooth and safe. My kids had a wonderful time and were so excited throughout the ride. The only minor downsides were the ticket prices, which are a bit on the expensive side, and the wait time, which was longer than expected. However, the overall experience was well worth it! The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. If you’re visiting Atlanta, this is definitely a must-do, especially for families looking to create special memories. Highly recommend!

Google
We did this on our last night in Atlanta and it did not disappoint. We went right before closing due to a prior event so the staff did not seem thrilled to have us there. We did go around several times with pauses at the top so we could see everything in downtown. Appreciate that the cars are air-conditioned during the hottest part of the year.

Yelp
Next up on our post-MomoCon adventure: a thrilling ride on Skyview Atlanta! And talk about perfect timing - it was gloriously overcast and, even better, ZERO line! What more could you ask for?! The moment we were securely locked into our gondola, it was like magic... the lines started forming behind us! YES! We totally beat the rush! The city view from the top? Absolutely B-R-E-A-T-H-T-A-K-I-N-G! You get an unparalleled, sweeping panorama of our beautiful city, stretching for miles. Despite its impressive height, the ride itself is surprisingly smooth and doesn't move as fast as it appears, making it a truly pleasant and serene experience. I loved every moment and would absolutely come back for another spin. If you haven't already, do yourself a HUGE favor and ride Skyview Atlanta. You'll thank me later for this recommendation! #SkyviewAtlanta #AtlantaAdventures #ThingsToDoInAtlanta #AtlantaViews #FerrisWheel #DowntownAtlanta #CitySkyline #AtlantaAttractions #TravelAtlanta #ExploreGeorgia #Tourism #Sightseeing #UrbanExploration #BucketList #AtlantaGems #ViewGoals #PerfectTiming #NoLine #AshSaidIt #TravelGram #WeekendVibes #VisitAtlanta

Yelp
Went for Valentines Day. I'm afraid of heights so I only went around one complete time. The price was $20+ per person. The line actually wasn't that long for it to be a holiday. They take your picture in line, with hopes that you'll purchase it. You get to make 3 full circles around on the Ferris wheel, which for me was A lot.. overall it was fun, and I would probably ride it again.
google avatar

William H.

Yelp
While visiting, this was one of our top places to go visit and experience we were not disappointed as you go around a few times and get to get a beautiful view of the city and Centennial Park. My kids and I enjoyed the experience and for under 20 bucks in person plus a discount for seniors veterans students. They also sell your pictures at the end for $40 which are actually pretty nice and a good memory to have definitely an experience you should at least do once while in Atlanta.
google avatar

Amy J.

Yelp
Love this! It's a great way to see Olympic park, coke world and GA Aquarium. We've done this last time we were in ATL and have done it in Myrtle Beach. We got a Groupon which saved us about $10 Beautiful views and climate controlled gondolas. IMO a must do in ATL!! My only gripe would be the doors weren't clean. They were pretty cloudy so some views were obstructed by filth. I'd suggest cleaning them more often.
google avatar

Micky C.

Yelp
Came here recently with a group of coworkers. It was so fun! I wish the turn had been longer but only because we were having a good conversation. It was fun though. Would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Nikki B.

Yelp
Good- the experience itself, the view-would be better at night (will come back for that purpose), tickets can be bought in Groupon-although I was charged another $3 after paying for them already. Bad-windows were dirty, the wheel didn't really stop at the top for you to enjoy the view for maybe just a minute or two. We have ridden in other wheels like this and it was slower in rotation and we were able to enjoy the view at the very top bc it stopped. If you want to go for experience-I think going during the golden hour/night time might be better. Is this a must attraction to do while in Atlanta? No, but it was nice to sit in the air condition and see Atlanta from above.
google avatar

Lillian J.

Yelp
We had to try this when we were in Atlanta. It was ok. You don't really ever just keep moving. The whole time we were on it, we stopped every few cars for them to have people get off and new ones back on. The light in our car wouldn't turn off, when we complained, they offered nothing. There were clean and spacious and service was friendly but not quite worth the price of the ticket.
google avatar

Monique M.

Yelp
It was decent. I wouldn't run back and do it again. The line was super fast , they let you go around 3 times, and they had air conditioning in the part you sit in to go around the Ferris wheel. I'd definitely suggest using a Groupon .

Carol P.

Yelp
Great experience on the Skyview Atlanta. We took pictures prior to getting on and the staff were focused on keeping the line moving but very friendly. We looped around 5 times before disembarking which gave us plenty of time to take in the view and take pictures.
google avatar

Mary G.

Yelp
I came by one night in May with a couple of friends. It was kind of neat timing because we were there at the end of sunset. Beautiful views and not an experience I would have everyday in my hometown. The staff was efficient, but not super friendly, if that makes sense.
google avatar

William W.

Yelp
I was walking through Centennial Olympic Park one afternoon and saw this beautiful Ferris wheel all lit up and calling my name. I'm a sucker for a good Ferris wheel, whether it be the Texas Star® in Dallas or the famous London Eye or the Bailang River Bridge Ferris wheel in Weifang, China. I've ridden many of them. Here's the problem. All of those offer sweeping panoramas of intriguing scenery. SkyView Atlanta only offers a decent view of the park, but buildings block everything else including Atlanta's tallest skyscrapers and any sort of distant look at the horizon. It's just not in a good location. So you end up spending $18.51 per person to spin around four times, lingering near the top on the fourth circumnavigation, but seeing the same boring views over and over again. It's really not worth the time nor the money.
google avatar

Drew B.

Yelp
Extremely pricey. It was almost $100 for my family to get like 10 minutes of time in the sky. Worth it for the view, but they keep trying to sell you pictures or sell you on a VIP ride.
google avatar

April H.

Yelp
Cool but if you have been to the similar ones in Las Vegas or London it will be a let down. Those are so much larger and more impressive. This one in Atlanta is like a mini version of those, kinda like the child would be if those large ones had a baby with a ferris wheel. Parking is the worst so I would recommend not driving. At least once you are in the area you are directly across from the olympic park. Even if you have tickets already you still have to wait in line. Luckily the line moves pretty fast. Overall worth doing once for fun.
google avatar

Asia B.

Yelp
The little ones loved it ages 3 and 4 went around at least 4 times. Definitely get a groupon it's $20 cheaper air worked well night lights nothing to complain about went around more than I thought
google avatar

Jeff C.

Yelp
I came here with my family on a hot July afternoon. The units are air conditioned which was a relief from walking to get to the location. Up up and away you go for great views of the city buildings and olympic park, CNN, college football hall of fame, etc. A little pricey for what you get so see if a Groupon or other discounts are available.
google avatar

Traechel M.

Yelp
This is cool experience to do if your staying at hotel located downtown Atlanta. We stopped over to take a ride before going to dinner around 8:15pm. It is a little unnerving with how high up you are, but you get use to it after while. The ride is only 7-10 minutes long.
google avatar

Kay W.

Yelp
Take a moment to sit in silence and take it all in. This was a great experience, and I'll definitely be back again.
google avatar

Anjali B.

Yelp
Went here after landing in Georgia. It was underwhelming and overpriced. Definitely a skippable experience. It was $30 a person and we took 3 rounds on the carousel but there honestly wasn't much to see besides buildings and a few landmarks. Much more enjoyable to just walk through the park and see Atlanta by foot.
google avatar

Payton M.

Yelp
The booths you ride in are spacious and comfortable with air conditioning so it's great to get a break on a hot day. From the top the view of Atlanta is awesome! Staff were nice.
google avatar

Latonya J.

Yelp
Purchased my tickets from Groupon. It included a box of chocolates. Box of chocolates was very small but helped with the nerves, lololol! Once the wheel gets moving, the nerves went away. The hardest part is sitting in the sky waiting for the other passengers to load and unload. The wheel goes around about 4 times. Wasn't a long wait for a Saturday afternoon. Would love to go back again at night just to see the night time view of the skyline. 4 stars because they force you to take a photo before and then upsell you at the end. I understand the business side of it, but have this publicized on the website or something so People can be prepared for pictures and purchase.
google avatar

Thembi S.

Yelp
The only con is that the ride is so short for the price. Otherwise, highly enjoyable! I went during the middle of the day on a Friday so there was no line, however, we just missed getting into a gondola before the ride started, and had to wait. During the wait, my friend and I peppered the employee standing there with a million questions about the ride, visitors, busy seasons, etc. He patiently answered our questions, providing good content before we boarded a gondola. Given it was in the low 60s that day, I was happy to be in an enclosed space on a ferris wheel. We went around 4x and the views were spectacular! I could definitely seen Stone Mountain, and a bunch of other nearby, and far, landmarks. Before I knew it, we were back on the ground, absolutely not willing to buy the pictures we took before the ride (do they hit the camera with the ugly stick??? Jeez). Glad I was able to experience this ride, it's been on my mind for years.
google avatar

Tony E.

Yelp
It's a Ferris wheel. You go up and come back down. They load up 40 cars and then it's 3x around. The views are great! But this is a warning about the parking. They suggest using the lot on Luckie Street but the lot is a SCAM! Ignore all their signage because they are simply going to overcharge you. Came in at 3pm after Thanksgiving. There was no special even going on. With validation it's supposed to be $6. Up to a hour $10. They charged me $20 and scoffed that all my complaining was for $20.
google avatar

Crystal P.

Yelp
My son loves ferris wheels so of course we had to come here. It was nice and we went during the day, during the week so no line. Had to wait like 10 mins to start going around which wasn't fun for my son. Went around like 4x and it was entertaining. Got the groupon.
google avatar

Rick P.

Yelp
The Skyview is within the walking distance from the Olympic centennial Park in downtown Atlanta. Great views from the Skyview. Price is not that bad and we went around 3 times. Great views from the top. Got quite a few pictures. Got to try it when here
google avatar

Saira K.

Yelp
SkyView Atlanta is a Ferris wheel in Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta. It's 200 feet high. There are 42 gondolas and they have AC. It's pretty at night with lights, so take pictures.
google avatar

Isabella K.

Yelp
It was an ok experience. It's basically a Ferris wheel that goes around a few times. We came here when it was dark so we got to see the city lights of Downtown. That being said, this is not the safest area so we didn't feel too comfortable being here at night. Also, they try to scam you into parking at some overpriced parking lot claiming that is the only option. We literally found street parking right in front of it. Unless you're really into Ferris wheels, you can probably skip this one.
google avatar

Kiah R.

Yelp
I've been on a few Ferris wheels this one so to me the price was great however, you don't have a real view compared to the others, it is much much shorter and stops way too many times. They do have you take a picture beforehand but it isn't included in the price and it is air conditioned. If the price was lower it would be worth it.
google avatar

Olivia B.

Yelp
Very expensive and has a super long wait. The views weren't breathtaking but it was something fun to experience.
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
I did this alone and it was expensive for an average size ride. I did not think it was anything spectacular. If your in the area I guess it would be something to try.
google avatar

Stephen P.

Yelp
It was an enjoyable ride with good views of the Olympic park, but I wouldn't recommend it super highly: Atlanta isn't otherwise the most photogenic skyline, and the price is a bit high at $40 for the three of us (2 adults + 1 child). There's also a tall new building immediately to the southwest that blocks any view in that direction including the football stadium. If there are at least 4 people in your group, check out Groupon, they often seem to have a deal there that helps a bit.
google avatar

Dianna N.

Yelp
Adult $13.89 As is the trend, you start with photos in front of a green screen available for purchase after. Honestly, given the price of admission, they should be giving each person in your party free prints to make it more worth it. I've gone on the ferris wheels in Seattle and Las Vegas, so compared to those, the view on Atlanta's was lackluster. In my opinion, the only cool thing to see was an aerial view of the Olympic Rings fountain. At least it was air conditioned, so it's almost like you're paying for a break from the heat. I think we went around 3 cycles before it was time to get off.
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
Beautiful views and reasonably priced. Highly recommend checking it out and riding it while in town.
google avatar

Yuko H.

Yelp
Good way to enjoy the view of downtown Atlanta. If you want to ride, I recommend coming here in the evening. Nicely lighted up, I enjoyed a quite ride and the view of the ferries wheels while waiting.
google avatar

Dina W.

Yelp
This was part of my birthday weekend festivities from my boyfriend. I was a little skeptical because I do NOT like heights. I asked the cashier how long each ride is and she said it goes around 4 times. I decided I could handle that! There were holiday decorations surrounding the wheel. A concession stand with a few tables surrounding it is set up near the back. The line was long but it moved really quickly. While we were waiting to get on, there was a photographer taking pictures of each group. We declined because we weren't about to pay for overpriced photos. The photos are placed on a wall for pickup after the ride. The view of the city is so pretty! The ride was smooth except for the occasional stop which caused us to rock back and forth. While it wasn't too bad, it didn't help with my fear. They offer VIP and date night packages. Overall, it was a fun touristy experience!
google avatar

Jahnay M.

Yelp
Skyview ATL is a great tourist attraction to see all the downtown views while riding the Ferris wheel! Located in the heart of downtown across from Centennial Olympic park. It can be a bit pricey as it is $14ish plus tax per adult. Students can get tickets at a discounted price and I believe military might also. You get a few rides around in a pod like car. They do offer VIP experiences for those wanting a fancier experience. All in all it was something fun to do at least once.
google avatar

PJ L.

Yelp
I highly recommend the VIP tickets. There is a holding room with refreshments and your car has a glass floor which adds an extra level of fun. The views of centennial park are so good and the ride last about half an hour.
google avatar

De'Von F.

Yelp
This is a must do if you're visiting Atlanta or have never done it before. This was my second time going on it and probably my last just because it is one of those one and done type attractions! Sky view gives you access to see Atlanta from a new perspective, especially if you do not have access to the high rise buildings in town. It is very romantic and can be a great date idea, however, I'd recommend checking out Groupon/local offers before purchasing at the actual attraction. I visited on a Wednesday night so there was no wait, however, I've heard it can get pretty crazy so plan accordingly. There's ton of paid parking all around, but I'd recommend Uber/Lyft is you're doing other things in the city. There are tons of restaurants and bars nearby so feel free to add this to your agenda to do's when you're in the city!
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Skyview is one of those places that I'd only visit if I were a tourist or showing a tourist around. Luckily I was staying with a friend for a few days in Atlanta, and she decided that we needed to experience this awesome ferris wheel. The wait wasn't too long. About 15-20 minutes. I couldn't figure out their process for letting people on and off the ride, but it seemed to go through a couple of rotations. Pretty worth the view, especially because my friend had stories to tell about different buildings around the city. All the staff members were friendly (a little sassy) and made the experience enjoyable. The booths were clean and comfy. The lines weren't confusing. It was a fun local attraction. The ferris wheel went pretty high up, but it wasn't as crazy as a roller coaster, so my fear of heights was tempered. The view is gorgeous, though, on a nice Atlanta day. If you're a tourist or even an exploring local, the ride gives you ideas of what to go see around the city. My friend specifically had stories about the big corporations and people who worked there, which was entertaining. The more I talk about this, the more I think I'd love to do this again!
google avatar

Ticia Y.

Yelp
Well worth it to buy the VIP tickets to scoot ahead of the line and get ushered past the waiting crowd to a cushy lounge where we were offered a drink before being seated in the swank gondola. I guess there weren't other guests waiting for a VIP ride, because we were given a free extra rotation; huzzah! I was born and raised in Atlanta, and doing a fun tourist-y thing like this was great, but not necessarily something that I would need to do again, although I imagine it would be pretty awesome at night. (Went during a sunny, late afternoon.) Parking in the garage 2 blocks away wasn't bad, and even the little stroll to the ferris wheel gave some fun people-watching.
google avatar

Paulina A.

Yelp
Skyview is a scenic ferris wheel overlooking the beautiful skyline of Atlanta. I have been on the ride a couple of times. Each time, the line moved quickly and loading was very efficient. My friends and I enjoyed the ride and the views. The pod is rather spacious and clean. Fun experience to try once and they have a Groupon special.
google avatar

Bruce H.

Yelp
This was a fun and sweet experience in downtown Atlanta. I mean what more is there to expect besides great views. Upon arrival we were greeted with a smile and chocolates. I guess the package I got had the chocolates which I think is very cute. The wheel spins enough times to give you plenty of good photo ops and not overwhelming either. Its air conditioned and pretty comfortable. This was a fun moment with my wife and would absolutely recommend.
google avatar

Candyce C.

Yelp
Great way to see the Atlanta skyline. I really liked the Skyview ride. Rick and went midmorning and were the only people in our car. It is enclosed and temperature controlled, so comfortable. The view was great and took lots of pictures. BTW, I'm not a fan of heights but this was great. Being enclosed takes some height fears away. Will ride again next time I'm here. Don't miss it.
google avatar

Brittany A.

Yelp
Went on Mother's Day and to my surprise they let moms ride free! The ride any other time is $15 for an adult ticket. Before you get on they take pictures of you so in case you want you can buy a package of your photos. They do not let you only buy one picture so you MUST buy the package. Luckily I wanted my package so I spent $35 for a large photo, medium photo, two wallet pictures and a magnet photo. They also give you your photos on a digital file so you can post it to your social media! The ride goes around three full times and last about 7-10mins because the fourth time they are letting people on and off. The views are great and the pods can fit up to 15 people. The experience is quick so don't expect to be there long. The wheel is located next to the aquarium and Coca Cola museum so if you pay to park you can get your money's worth and maybe check out one of the museums.
google avatar

J A.

Yelp
Waste of $15. Maybe it just sucks during the day. I don't know. I will never waste time like that again! Hah Three loops around. $15... Incredible.
google avatar

Belle L.

Yelp
Great views of the city and really amazing staff! The ride wasn't too long but just right. I believe you go around 5 times or so? I love Ferris wheels and this has to be one of the best I went on.

Char O.

Yelp
Went on 1/11/2024 at 8:30pm. several employees but not one had a personality. It was like we were an inconvenience to them. When we checked in they said the ride would be 7 to 10 minutes. By the time we got on the ride we decided to time it because the customer service was so bad, we assumed the ride would be shorter than they said and it was. Went for six minutes. It circled around three times. Definitely needs customer service training! The price was not worth it!
google avatar

Amanda B.

Yelp
Ehhh, big Ferris wheel that goes around in circles. What can you really say about that? It went around a few times which allowed you to see the entire city on a clear day. No music was played so it was pretty quiet inside the cart. It was kind of hot inside the cart and the outside air coming in wasn't cool at all (went in January). I personally think it's overpriced which is why I gave 3 stars. The staff were all very friendly, even the people taking your pictures (which were available for purchase). We walked there from the Coca Cola Factory so walking through the park was lovely and we didn't have to worry about finding parking. Wouldn't see why anyone would do this more than once. They should really offer a recording of Atlanta history and the buildings you see and allow it to play while you are going around!
google avatar

Diedre R.

Yelp
Being from Atlanta at least I can say I`ve done it. No desire to do it again, but I`ve never been a fan of amusement rides. Someone found some tickets on Groupon so I`m not sure how much it cost, since that person paid for everyone. We went around 10 pm and the line moved at the expected pace so I think we stood online about 10 mins. Once we finally boarded we went around one rotation, and then was asked to unload. The attendant stated that they to many people loaded and needed to unload some of us. I think overall we did three rotations but each one we were stopped at a different point and never did get a full view of the city. I`m not afraid of heights but a couple of times I felt butterflies in my stomach There was three adults and one 11 year old in our pod, and we all fit comfortably Just another tourist attraction. And they have the $40 photos to memorialize the event.

Yelp
Something different to do and fun. Mr. Teddy was pour entertainment while we waited. It was worth the money and experience
