"The pseudo-rockabilly hardcore Americana on display at the Skyway Bar and Grill is worth a stop alone: Christmas lights and mismatched light fixtures hang from the pressed tin ceilings, illuminating the countless midcentury paintings and posters lining the walls. Sitting by the fireplace or within the sprawling backyard, visitors snack on smokehouse classics like ribs, pork shoulder, and smoked Mary’s chicken, plated alongside self-described “lumpy mashers” or hand-cut fries. The “Skyway Mac-N-Cheese” is legendary, available with a huge selection of “hook-ups” like pastrami, bacon cubes, and brisket. The bar pours a robust selection of local beers from the taps, along with CBD sodas, cocktails, and house-infused spirits." - Levi Rogers

Yelp
A cute outdoorsy place! We had high expectations for the food. We got frickles, mac n cheese with some meats, beans, potatoe salad and brisket. All the meats were minimal and extremely dry and flavorless. We also didnt get the mystery sauce that was supposed to top it off. Come for the vibe, food, not so much.

Yelp
We love this place. Always the best service and food. We love coming here, but they near cease to amaze me. The owners have built such an incredible team. (While we waited for our to-go order we watched them) Last night they were slammed, so busy and only 2 girls working (1 bartender and 1 server). Instead of letting the stress get to them and getting rude and rushed. They kindly explained the situation to every customer who came in. They continually had each others backs to help out where they were needed despite being busy themselves. Even the kitchen jumped in to help them out. It was so good to see! Refreshing really

Yelp
Mac and cheese here is absolutely wonderful. Not too dry or too liquidy, the sauce is rich and perfect. Bread crumbs and sprinkled cheese on the top add a crisp layer. The reason for the 3 star is the bbq is not good. Dry and lean, we had a sampler plate and really didn't like any of it. We were told the chef was a pitmaster from Texas. As a Texan myself, I was surprised to hear this when I tasted the meat. Go to this place, but pass on the bbq. Service has been good both times we went. Very cozy surroundings and lots of outdoor seating during good weather.

Yelp
I try to visit this place whenever I'm in the Mt. Hood area, as it's just 15 minutes down the mountain from Government Camp...where there are zero good food options. Crazy good eclectic decor inside with stained glass everywhere, a funky tin ceiling and a 100 year old wood burning fireplace in the front room (where obviously you should sit) make it worth a visit alone, and the small but satisfying menu seals the deal. I'm not a BBQ aficionado, and what meats I've had here seem dry but flavorful, but the sauces offer a good spectrum of spice. The sides - beans, coleslaw, fries, whatnot, are all excellent, and I hear the Mac n Cheese is next level. There are salads and tofu options as well. The place has live music almost every week, which is awesome, and come summertime, they open up the back patio --- a lovely, sprawling space with tables, a separate bar and a stage for the band. Lots of free parking helps too.

Victoria L.

Yelp
Came here the last two weekends and the vibe is great! The patio has tons of seatings, the music is top notch and the food was amazing! The server came by to check on us a ton, we felt very taken care. Best place on the mountain for BBQ & Music!

Alejandra P.

Yelp
The whole place is a vibe. The music wasn't too loud where you can't have a convo. The staff was really friendly and great. I wish there was more done with the tofu. I'm glad they had a vegan option. The tofu just tasted barely cooked with bbq. Maybe fried or cooked longer for actual texture? The fries were great and the beet salad was okay. I would come back for the music and vibes- not sure I'd order the tofu again.

Yelp
Celebrating my sister in laws birthday after a full day at Timothy Lake. We had to wait for 45min -1hr but the were able to seat all 11 of us. Service is not gushing with attentiveness. They are busy all they way till closing time. I would say they are focused and efficient. Now the grub - the Mac and cheese is their signature dish and it is justified. My daughter said it is the best she has had in a very long time. The sampler platter is good. The ribs a little dry but the sauces are very good. The brisket is awesome and the pulled pork was also good. The pastrami sandwich has a bit too much pretzel bun for my liking. A marbled rye would be less doughy. Overall we had a fabulous time and a fabulous local fixture. Life don't get better than that.

Sophia K.

Yelp
15% charge for take away, and extra fee for credit. Pricey restaurant. I don't like all the little fees and charges added onto the already. Makes it quite annoying as a consumer that a business can't maintain their overhead costs to account for their own expenses and staff. They probably get away with it because this is a tourist destination. Food was fine, but it does not make up for the little fees. Lots of parking. The interior is huge and there's plenty of outdoor seating too. The interior is dark and can be quiet cozy. I would not come here again, mainly because of all the fees.

Katherine C.

Yelp
We ate here twice. They got their shtick down! The waiting area is near the stage where they have live music. You can wait there for your table or sit there after the mealtolisten to the band. There are tables everywhere and tea lights and just neat little touches to make outdoor eating so enjoyable. Some days when staff is short, you take your order to the bar and give it and they bring it to the table. Other days they take your order. The ribs, brisket, and mac and cheese were very good. They charge for sauce which is a bit unusual but meh. Dessert is meh..a cookie or scoops of ice cream. A cup of mac with additions is a meal. The bowl is fine but the cup is very filling. Everyone was friendly and easy going. Great place!

Yelp
Sat outside Beautiful day sat outside Nice courtyard, lots of traffic noise Tried the sampler Brisket...good, ok flavor Pulled pork...tender Ribs...very tough. Not good Fries...underdone Coleslaw...too finally shredded for me. Hardly any texture Good service, water glass filled multiple times Probably a 3 but service was nice

Yelp
Skyway was suggested to us by someone who lives in the area, and it has become our go-to destination when we're staying nearby, or when we're coming down off the mountain. We're certainly not alone in being fans of Skyway - if the weather is nice, expect a crowd. Thankfully, they are well staffed with friendly people who know what they're doing. On our most recent visit, we were able to visit the outdoor bar and relax in the area by the outdoor stage while we waited for a table. The menu of BBQ staples is reliable - everyone in our group was happy with choices from all over the menu.

Sonam S.

Yelp
We stopped by after snowboarding . My wife and I wanted to eat bbq steaks and ribs. It seems to be busy and I knew we were there late around 8:45 as the restaurant was closing at 9pm. They got us seated and the food was delicious and service good as well. It was good spot to stop by to eat dinner.

Steve H.

Yelp
Holy cow! A quick trip to the mountain for a getaway. Checked reviews and Skyway popped up. Bummed to have seen it closing at 8 on a Friday night (according to Google). Came back for dinner Saturday night. Has a funky charm that's beloved. Ordered ribs, a pastrami sandwich, mac & cheese. Here's where it gets interesting. Every single item I put to my lips was some of the best I've ever had.. Ribs were done to perfection...right off the bone. The pastrami sandwich was to die for! I'm not a huge pastrami guy but their take on reuben was beyond perfection! The meat had a smoky char but wasn't dry. I live two hours away and would happily make the trip out just for anything on the menu. Topped the night off with homemade cookies and some great music. Service was impeccable. If I owned a restaurant...THIS is what I would want it to be.

Yelp
This place is fun with hodgepodge-style decor. The food is comfort American. The BBQ was fine. Not as good as Buster's, but definitely decent. Everything was just decent. The night we went, they were understaffed because the busy snow season had not yet started yet. But the servers and general manager were amazingly cheerful and unfrazzled, and therefore, very professional, making eating here a pleasant dining experience. Now that Calamity Jane's has closed and it's roof collapsing, Skyway will be my go-to place when going snow hiking.

Naiyana C.

Yelp
Disappointing to see that several people gave mediocre or poor reviews bc we thought the meat selections we ordered were delicious. Flavors were on point- all meats were juicy and tender - we sampled each- ribs, chicken, brisket. Caesar salads were relatively standard, fried pickles (frickels) were DELICIOUS- not greasy and super crispy!!! Mac and cheese side my partner got was meh- he liked it bc it was "not too cheesy" but I thought it was a bit bland. The one thing that was confusing and kinda disappointing was the automated 15% added to the bill bc we got take out- seems a bit steep and also...why? Would still eat here again as it was yummy enough and staff were nice.

Kelley S.

Yelp
The food is good, and ambiance is great! Service was good. Tracy, the main greeter. She's always pleasant and kind. We love eating here when we're in Brightwood.

Chelsea T.

Yelp
Food is delicious. Drinks are great. The ambiance is on point. I love sitting outside in the summer. Portions are a little skimpy.

Ilona S.

Yelp
We sat outside after just a short wait. The place was basil hopping for a Friday evening. There was a band setting up to play and cars were lined up to park on both sides of the street. Their outside courtyard to eat is cute, big hut cozy. The wooden benches were a little tough on my tired-from-hiking-butt. The food: I had a cup of their famous Mac and cheese with a helping of brisket, yummy! Hot and delicious, and quite enough for me. My husband had the bbqribs with fries and coleslaw, pickles and bread. Hmmm, ok-ish I guess? Ribs were a bit dry, coleslaw was bland, pickles were excellent, fries were.... Well... fries. So, a bit of a mixed bag......

Toni B.

Yelp
Owner, Tracy, is warm and welcoming. I didn't speak with co-owner, Tom but their commitment to the place is evident. We had a great time listening to the fantastic blues guitarist, Terry Rob! Outstanding music and vibe!! Thanks, Skyway for bringing quality talent and enjoyment to the mountain. I highly recommend you check them out!

Yelp
If I rated this place solely on service, atmosphere and side dishes, I'd give it a 4. But, it advertises itself as a BBQ restaurant, and that's where it failed to deliver. It was our first visit, so perhaps it was just a bad day in the kitchen; we'd be willing to try again, but here's what we found lacking. My wife ordered brisket and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were very tasty! They were chunky (not lumpy) and loaded with creamy goodness, and very well seasoned. The portion of brisket was modest, but appropriate for the modest price of the dish. However, the meat was way too dry, way too salty, and more like beef jerky around the edges. It tasted as if it had been sitting in a tray for quite a spell. I ordered a chicken leg and thigh with broccoli and a Cesare side salad. The grilled broccoli was seasoned perfectly, and delicious. The salad was the same; the lettuce was fresh and crunchy, with just enough good dressing to turn bland lettuce into something special. Even the two dill pickle slices hiding under the chicken on a fat piece of white bread were very good...and I'm normally not a huge fan of pickles. I also splurged an extra dollar to get samples of all three varieties of their house made barbecue sauces. The Chipotle was tangy with just a hit of heat. The other two were pretty much indistinguishable from one another, and both just pretty good sauce. The chicken had a nice smoked flavor. Again, the portion was modest but acceptable for the price; but that's where the "good" ended. The skin was extremely tough and rubbery. The meat was overcooked, tough and dry. It reminded me of leftover weekend BBQ pulled out of the fridge three days later and tossed in the microwave to reheat. I suspect it and the brisket sat perhaps for several days after cooking. Perhaps if we ate there on the day they were actually barbecuing the main dishes would be better, but our visit was a letdown. We loved the funky charm and eclectic decorations throughout the place, and the service was warm and friendly. We will try it again someday, but for now look elsewhere for barbecue.

Yelp
I've passed this place many times on my way to the mountain and never thought to stop. So glad we did!! First off, the outdoor seating area is huge. There was such a great ambiance with a live band playing. We ordered pretty much everything on the menu and it was all delicious. We will definitely be back!

Jon R.

Yelp
Wow, what a find outside of any metro area. This awesome BBQ joint is nestled in the Mt. Hood wilderness just outside of Rhododendron and the vibe is much better McMenamins! Inside is this eclectic vibe with crazy decorations and the outside bar and seating area was so inviting with a stage, bar, seating for the music and tables lining the outer edges and under willow trees. It was soooooo cool!! First off, this Texas BBQ spot has some downright fantastic smoked tofu. Perfectly cooked, wonderfully smoked and so, so flavorful. I ordered the tofu plate with baked beans and fries. The baked beans is vegetarian AND the chipotle BBQ sauce is vegan so I finally had some damn good BBQ with my dietary restrictions. Great kick to the sauce, the fries were some of the crispiest I've ever had and the baked beans were so good I actually had to confirm there wasn't any meat or beef stock in them. Outrageously good!! My wife was totally stoked that she could order just a 1/4 rack of ribs. A half rack is too much for her if she wants sides so having a 1/4 rack allowed her to try the Mac and cheese too. She said it was perfect, the top was nice and crispy and the cheese blend was super tasty. The bartenders made some great drinks and the tart cherry old fashioned is so unique and something to experience. I had two, perfect accompiant to the dinner. Our server Emily was amazing. With a busy night she was hustling and made sure we had everything we needed. When the kitchen messed up my order she was right on it to make sure it was corrected duper fast. Impressive with how short staffed they were and the hour wait for a table. She helped steer me towards the items I could eat since we shared dietary restrictions and not once was wrong. In the end, I would have marked this down a half star because the kitchen messed up my order twice. First, instead of the tofu plate I received the tofu sando. I actually wouldn't have complained as it looked very good but I can't eat Mayo so I had to send it back. Second mistake, I asked for extra pickle and somehow received diced tomato. Not sure how, but the cute blonde boy who was brining food out was back in less than 2 minutes with my pickles. However, none of that was worth taking a whole star away with the epic meal we had. We are firmly forever fans and will be back again and again!!

Lou L.

Yelp
One of favorite places to visit. After a great meal I go outside to sit by a fire and smell the fresh wood burning. Juniper tree smells wonderful with my cold beer.

Sutton B.

Yelp
The last time I was in was pre-pandemic. After numerous visits prior to that I can definitively tell you the ribs are generally bad - full of gristle, not a great bark, overdone, and not that meaty. On my first time in I raved about the ribs but for me they never again were anywhere that good. No idea why but after asking the owner and a couple waitresses about the inconsistency, I was given nothing more than lip service. Save your money and Just don't. The prices were high which I don't mind given the location, but the general quality and quantity cause me concern as it should you. The ONLY item this place does (or did) right is the mac and cheese. And that's the ONLY reason I give it two stars. It would otherwise garner an unequivocal one star rating. Pro Tip: They don't offer wi-fi nor do they accept Apple Pay. Unless you are passing by and are ok with overpriced mediocre food and/or want to get drunk, there isn't any reason in my view why you'd ever want to stop.

Beverly V.

Yelp
I stopped here for some bbq just before the dinner rush. We were greeted after a couple minutes after walking into the door and asked to wait at a bar until the hostess could find us a seat. Five minutes later, we were provided a table. Our waitress greeted us promptly and took our order. She did a decent job with service during our dinner and was friendly enough, but my two star review is for the quality of the food. We ordered a 1/4 lb of brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and chicken - hind quarter. First, we could hardly cut through the ribs. They were not " pull-off-the-bone tender" and were still very fatty. The ribs were done, but barely! Next, when I cut the chicken thigh from the leg, it was literally bleeding and was obviously undercooked. The brisket was dry, overcooked, and lacked any level of juiciest whatsoever. The pulled pork was the better item of the four. But why wonderbread! Of all the breads you could use...why? This place is the only place for miles, but it is nothing special. Lastly, this was the most expensive place for bbq I have ever gone to. I thought at that price it would be better than it was, but I was so disappointed. Perhaps the food gets better after a few drinks from their bar.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Skyway used to be our go-to, but the high prices and exploitative a-la-carte sides pretty much sealed the deal for us. We still went there for certain dishes that they phased out during COVID. Add the lines and the prickly, sometimes blatantly rude owner, and we just stopped going altogether. It's a cool place. All brick-a-brac with reclaimed elements like windows and decor. There's an old furnace for a fireplace, and it's eclectic and very cool. The staff is nice. The food is/was creative and pretty great. But you might pay $26 for a plate with four prawns on it, add five to eight more bucks each for whatever side(s) you want to add to that. It's not cheap, any you're paying for bar-food. Not anything spectacular. Just really decent bar-food. They have a great outdoor area to dine and they host live music a lot.

Jason V.

Yelp
My wife and I were returning from a weekend in Bend, when we happen to get stuck for more than an hour in the middle of the mountains on Highway 26 due to a fatal car accident blocking Highway. When they finally made it through, we were getting a little hungry, and stopped at the Skyway on a whim after seeing the twinking (Christmas?) lights from its patio as we drove by. Wow. What a lucky find! This place is amazing! How have I never heard of it before? We arrived at 7:30 p.m., and even though they close at 8 p.m., we were lucky enough to be seated for a table within about 15 minutes. During our wait, we were allowed to order drinks and hang out by the campfire, which was such a nice change from some other places, where loitering is heavily discouraged. The campfire out back was cozy and honestly, our wait wasn't anywhere near 15 minutes. Not wanting to burden them with a large order so close to closing, we split a bowl of their mac and cheese, which had come highly recommended from a regular customer of theirs that we met at the campfire. We added some pulled pork, pickled jalapeno and bleu cheese crumbles to the mix from the list of available toppings. If all of that sounds like absolute Heaven, you can be assured that it was! From the hostess to the waitress, and even including the customers, this is such a great place to hang out on a cold Winter's Night. The interior of the building is warm and inviting, filled with rustic kitsch and country charm. They have a stage where, in the "before times", live music was played, so we are really looking forward to coming back to check it out when things return to normal and we can actually enjoy live entertainment again! It might be a 45-minute drive from home to get back to the Skyway, but I have driven further and longer, for less amazing places than this! I think from now on, any time we are going through the pass by the way, this is going to become a regular stop for us. Because the memory of that mac and cheese will linger for a long time, and bodes of so many other wonderful things on that menu that I am looking forward to trying!

Joe W.

Yelp
This is my second review, I love this place! They have the best Mac n Cheese, Marion Berry Moscow Mules and Ambiance!... I leaving this 2nd review just to say that I am somewhat disappointed with the hours they are open. I don't EVER seem to be in that area after 3pm. I wish they would open earlier in the day but understand there must be a staffing shortage. I'll just have to plan my days around that.

Brent H.

Yelp
Went there last night at 8:10 to have a beer and watch the band. Were told they were not serving food. When we stated we just wanted to get a beer from the bar and sit on the benches or stand, we were told "were all done with that!!!" very rudely. Feel bad for the bands that work so hard to put on a show just to have the venue turn away customers. Place used to be pretty good but as they've become busier, things have definitely gone downhill. Staff are consistently stressed. Wait times are significantly increased for food. Food is overall decent but not great barbecue, good for the Hoodland area but not as good of barbecue as you would get in Portland. The mac'n'cheese is good like everyone says. Ambiance is still good-classic mountain feel. The star is for the fried pickles-those are still great.

J C.

Yelp
Very good barbecue! The brisket is great. The Frickles are good. Worth a visit. .............................

Ely J.

Yelp
Great spot! Enjoyed the frickles and the chicken sandwich was delicious. Not a huge fan of smoked meat but this sandwich completely changed my mind!

Larisa G.

Yelp
While the food was decent, our visit to Skyway left much to be desired. A few pros and cons below... PROS - Vegetarian BBQ option, which is rare! - Nice outdoor seating. - LGBTQIA+ friendly. CONS - Took awhile before anyone checked on us to get our orders. - Appetizers arrived well before drinks and we went awhile before water was replenished. - The frickles are a JOKE. For $8, you will receive approximately 10 fried pickle chips making nearly each fried pickle chip about a $1. While the frickles were good, they weren't THAT good. - Husband's mac and cheese with brisket had brisket that was mostly charred. Yum! (Couldn't address it since we were never checked up on except to have the check dropped off!) - Had to go get our own silverware after the entrees arrived. - The cocktails were meh and tasted a bit watered down. - 4% upcharge on food if you use a credit/debit card. Bring cash if you can. Overall, this place is fine if you're okay with waiting and have low expectations for service. There are limited options on the mountain, but this one wouldn't be at the top of the list of spots to eat at.

Gerald D.

Yelp
First time we ate in 4 star experience. This time we went with takeout and it was easily a 1 star. Food was jerky ribs and chicken were dry and sides were ice cold. We even got there early before our order was done. Brine your chicken over night and slow and low when smoking meats. 4+ hours to smoke ribs.

Constantine J.

Yelp
I'm not sure how many times I've passed this place coming and going on my way from mount hood telling myself that I need to try this place out. I'm happy to claim that I no longer have to keep telling myself that. Coming back from a long day of skiing I wasn't going to pass up the opportunity to give it a shot. Apparently a lot of people had the same idea because there was a LONG wait. They made good use of their outdoor space, too our drink orders and escorted us out to the back yard area while we waited for our table. Once seated we were ready to dive into all the incredible flavors and smells we had been anxiously waiting for. We started off with the Garlic Cheese Fries which were very tasty and a good starter to share. I went with the Brisket Sandwich while others went with The Mac N Cheese and The Sampler (a little bit of everything). The meat was delicious. Melted in your mouth. The 3 sauces simply added a new layer of flavor on top. Our waitress was super kind and talkative during our visit. Now that I know how great this spot is. It'll become part of my ski routine!

Rose L.

Yelp
One of my favorites! We come here after skiing or going for a hike in the area. The food is delicious; and the drinks are great! It is comfort food and the meat is always smoked to perfection. Highly recommend the brisket, frickles, and Mac & Cheese. You can't go wrong here!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Great food, great service, and great vibe. Local mountain favorite. Mac and cheese phenomenal.

Alana N.

Yelp
Perfect BBQ spot after skiing! The bbq were pack with flavor! Perfect portions and prices. Was looking forward for the frickels but they didn't really impressed me. They are too thinly sliced and lack of flavor. What surprised me was the truffled cheese grit cake! It's so cheesy, fragrant and crispy on the outside. Get it and you won't regret! Mac and cheese was on point too!

Jo R.

Yelp
Get a craft, enjoy the patio and order the mac&cheese! Delish with added brisket, mushrooms and jalapeño.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Came for vacation from Kansas. Stopped in for Lunch . We got to sit at the fireplace setting table - so cozy and cute. Amazing bbq that I forgot to take a picture of . Their truffle fried grits square in a pool of cheese was to die for. Great drinks and service !!

Johnny N.

Yelp
Wow an incredible place out in Rhododendron area near Skibowl. This place is packed at dinner time. Ordered some food to go and took a little walk to the stage area to listen to some live music while waiting for our order. Lots of tables and spacing. Staff is following all the COVID safety precautions which is great. The service was friendly. Finally got the food and drove off like a hangry person. I was hungry after a day of trail hiking Behold the glorious BBQ selection. Brisket , ribs and pork shoulder sandwich all tender fall off the bone Meaty goodness 5 star for the level of smokiness. Just the right amount that wasn't bitter or too strong 5 star for bbq meat that's tender. Nothing dry was served to me compared to other reviews. Everything had a great flavor not overly Smokey or salty. The bbq sauces are delicious also. The pork shoulder was killer. Great bread selection also, held together perfectly. Could use some pickles and coleslaw but that's another side item I didn't order. 3.5 star for the side items. The fries were ok. Nothing to rave about. The lumpy potatoes were cold but buttery. The beans were no good. Just too much tangy sauce and no pork fat. No bacon or lardons to accompany the Smokey sweet bbq beans I imagined. They were cold also. Well this place has excellent barbecue. They delivered their A game today. -1 (negative) star for some hygiene issue. There was an extra long brown curly hair near the meat platter on top of the white bread and below the brisket. I can tell you it ain't mine but I picked it out. I guess someone needs to wear a hair net. That was a major let down Food was great just need to improve the quality of sides and some basic kitchen hygiene.

Taylor K.

Yelp
Honestly don't know how this place doesn't have 5 stars. The food is incredible, the service is top notch, and the drinks are delicious. We got max and cheese, a burger, and a sampler platter and were super impressed with every item. The outdoor seating is such a vibe, I wish we were here for live music. 10/10 recommend a stop at this place.

David T.

Yelp
Terrific bar and grill with fantastic view of Mt Hood nearby. Just happened to find this place on the road to Redmond and Bend, OR from Portland. Ordered the Smoked Pork Shoulder, baked beans and Golden Beets. Plus a Bacon and Pepper Bloody Mary. Must order the ice cream cookie! The cookie is a ginger molasses one. Wonderful! Very good service here, too. Thank you for the entire experience.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Worst service ever!!!!!! We went here specifically for the reviews. We got off the mountain and we were starving. Walk in the door and the waitress attempts to sit two people down at a table with one chair and proceeds to walk off. We both stared at each other like uhh should we get our own chair? Or ? She finally realized there was only one chair. We ordered two draft beers and food. My husband ordered a sampler and I ordered the bowl of Mac n cheese with chicken and bacon. The waitress seemed like she was on drugs or drunk. Swayed back and forth and couldn't understand what I was saying. We went back and forth on my order a few times. She looked at me like I was stupid... She asked if I wanted dark chicken or light. I was like um.. chicken? The white kind? Didn't know you had an option with the Mac n cheese? Then she asked if I wanted sliced or cubed bacon. The cubed bacon is more fatty so I was like hmm weird I was thinking chopped bacon for Mac n cheese but sliced I will do it myself no big. After 20 minutes we flagged the waitress down and was like hey if the draft beers haven't been made can we get two cans? Easier and faster. She rolled her eyes and was like sure. She completely forgot.... Anyway, the food came out and my husband's order was right and I got a Half of a chicken on a piece of bread. The young kid that brought it out. I ended up telling him sorry this is not the right order. I ordered mac & cheese with chicken he's like I'm so sorry. I'll get that ordered for you. W just came back and then said oh you didn't order the chicken, I said no I ordered mac & cheese with chicken. She flipped a little book and looked at me like I was crazy and walked off Never came back to check on us to see if we were doing OK. My husband ate his entire dinner and then I finally got my dinner (mind you we been here for 1+ hour(s) by now.) I was brought out a very small appetizer size cup of macaroni and cheese with cubed bacon. She dropped it off at the table, never came back to check on us. About 20 minutes later she dropped off the check and asked if my husband wanted a box never asked me if my meal was right or OK. The check showed two samplers a half chicken and two beers. I was so irritated that I was like I'm just gonna ask for a manager cause she's obviously on drugs and can't get anything right. Yes, the manager comes by and asked what he could do for us. I proceeded to explain to him what the situation was and told him that we ordered one sampler and mac & cheese, and I never actually got my order because I was brought out the cup not the bowl. He said OK he got the sampler you got mac & cheese and two beers correct? I said yes he walked off. He comes back and the check shows one sampler and a half chicken. I told him that I wanted the correct bill. I never ordered the chicken he proceeds to tell me to calm down. I looked at him and told him I was calm. I just wanted my bill to reflect what we ordered so I could leave. He still after all that conversation didn't understand what I ordered. Worst service ever. Everyone is high as hell. While we were there a guy at the bar dropped his bag of cocaine on the floor.... This place is literal trash.

Yelp
Best brisket I've probably ever had. Quick service, funky decor. Scruffy local joint in the best possible way. May be a different scene during ski season, but in the fall it was awesome. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
This place has really taken a turn for the worse. Now it seems like the owners treat the customers like a semi enemy. Wait staff is great but you get a sense of the underlying attitude from the bosses with the sarcastic signage, add on pricing, and menu changes. Agree with the reviewer who questioned using a bun for a pastrami sandwich, when rye (like they used to use) made it an awesome sandwich. Used to be our go to place on the mountain but the difficulties of the last couple years has obviously taken their toll.

Yelp
TOURIST TRAP TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!! Our party of 4 was staying very nearby in an AirBnB and walked over here after a very long day out hiking. we were seated, thankfully in the shade the hostess was great for this! One person in my party ordered us a round of shots, 2 beers, a drink, and a Pepsi. we looked over food. Meanwhile drink almost an entire pitcher of water. Temps are in the 80's today. We ordered another round of shots. We ordered our food. While we waited for our food went up to reorder a Pepsi and a beer and the bar told us they did not feel comfortable serving us anymore alcohol (this is surely their right). We were not loud, belligerent, or even driving! We quickly finished our food and got the F out of there as after they refused to further serve us they made us feel quite unwelcome there. My husband is a very calm accommodating 6'4" 265lb man who probably had the lowest BAC of us all and he has never been cut off on his life. this definitely felt like a very quick and at for them to make some money and kick us out so they could grab our table.

Yelp
Food was subpar. Service was less than subpar. The ambiance was okay. Our party of 4 ordered 2 shots and then a beer but the waitress said we couldn't have a beer as she didn't feel "comfortable" serving us more alcohol. We waited 10 min before we were even seated and were told we should sit outside as there was no AC inside and it was hot inside. This place is full of BLM, Subaru driving, hipster, Starbucks loving white people. If you're black don't come back!

Yelp
As a bit of a BBQ aficionado, I came in with modest expectations. My expectations were greatly exceeded. I think Skyway is better than the famous Salt Lick in Texas and I rank it the second best BBQ in Oregon. We started with the boat of Mac-n-cheese, some of the best I've ever had. For main course we split The Sampler and added a tasting of pastrami. I rarely see pastrami at BBQ places, but wow was it good. If I ever just get a sandwich here I'll go with that as my meat. I also loved the ribs and the brisket was very good. I liked the pulled pork, but next time I'll substitute it for the pastrami. I was hesitant to get the lumpy mashers as a side because I pictured mashed potatoes with chunks of hard, undercooked potato. This was not the case, the lumpy mashers were very good, mostly creamy with just small chunks of perfectly cooked potato. I will be coming back as often as possible whenever we're in the Mt Hood area.

Yelp
Great place, great BBQ sauce. The brisket was outstanding and chipotle bbq was fantastic. And the cookies! Try that white chocolate cranberry lemon cookies!
