Slackers Bar & Grill

All around great sports bar! There must be thirty TVs in this place, and there is a selection of sports to watch. The bar is very long. My friend got a dirty martini and steak quesadilla, and I got a jalapeño and cucumber margarita and chicken quesadilla. Both quesadillas were great and we loved the house made salsa! My friend loved her martini. I did not enjoy the margarita, as the sour mix did not taste great when combined with the infused alcohol. Service was wonderful! This place is quite good but a little pricey. If that doesn’t scare you away, you’ll enjoy it! So many options to choose from.

This place was right up my ally and I might come back. Even though the staff is nice, the service was way slow. The French dip was great but very messy and they give you this small condiment cup of aus jus that not only is so small the sandwich won't fit in it and there wasn't nearly enough even for the half of sandwich. I want to ask for more but hunting down bartender or server you have to pretend you're flagging down a NY taxi. I also paid extra for cheese which as seen in the Pic they don't give you much.

A great sports bar that we found while on vacation during March Madness. We popped in to grab dinner and watch a game. Lots of Green Bay Packers memorabilia and many tv's. Thabk god i was there to watch a game. Our food and service were iffy. I had the chicken Caesar salad, and it came out without dressing. It took quite a while to find anyone willing to go back and get some from the kitchen. The chicken was freezer burned and rock hard (I picked it up and knocked it against the plate). The rest of the salad was fine, once I got some dressing on it. Will I be back? Maybe. I often stay in the hotel next door, so it's within walking distance. Would I recommend it to friends? For the atmosphere and a quick beer, yes. Food? Not so much.

Wonderful Sports Bar and Grill. Staff was very nice and great with our children (we had 5 total). They offer free ice cream to kids who order off the kids' menu, but they brought out 5 cups so the other two wouldn't feel left out. That meant a ton to us parents! It was an easy walk from Holiday Inn Express, and we are so happy we stopped by.

BLUF: this place is bad*ss!! Stuck at FLL and took a short taxi to this joint. To wait on crew from a delayed flight. I wanted an adult beverage and food and could’ve anticipated the impeccable service and amazing food! Definitely recommend!

Amazing dinner experience. The burgers and fries were great. I was really surprised how nice the salad was. Enjoyed a glass of wine with the meal. Definitely check them out. Great service and food

The drinks were on point, and our waitress was fantastic—attentive, friendly, and personable. The only letdown was the fish and chips, which didn’t taste very fresh. In a place like Fort Lauderdale, that’s something I expect to be top-notch. Still, a good experience overall and worth a visit!

In town for a cruise, this spot was right next to the hotel. Sat down, looked around and saw a sign referencing a Green Bay Packers community table. Took a wider glance and then realized there was a ton of Packers paraphernalia everywhere! Even better when we got the menu saw they had cheese curds, burger and brat and poutine on the menu! Not to mention a few beer selections from the Madison area. Wait staff were super friendly and attentive, and food didn't take long considering how busy they were! Only thing that would make it better is if they were Gator fans...apparently they are Seminoles!

Leave it to a group of Minnesotans to find a packers bar on a work trip. Got in late and needed something to eat. This place came up in our search so we thought we'd give it a shot. Food was delicious, drinks were good. Will be back if ever in the area again.

The term 'Dive Bar' never would have dawned on me walking into Slackers. I question the reviews that refer to it that way - maybe just by Ft Lauderdale standards. An easy walk from near-by hotels, everything was clean and there was plenty of light - mostly from the enormous number of TV screens operating with numerous events from NFL to Women's College basketball to ice hocky and even something with dogs. It is two large spaces front/back so it is bigger than expected from the front of a strip mall. There is a smoking area just outside the front door and the dark tinted windows give the impression of being closed, but don't let that fool you. We were greeted as soon as we sat down and the entire staff was bustling - no slackers here. While there is good menu selections, we were there mid afternoon for football, so we enjoyed cocktails, beer, wings, and brats. The beer choices were plentiful, the cocktail was tasty and spirited, the sauces, including brat mustard, were made on site, and the dirty dishes were taken away once we finished. The ONLY thing that could improve is the quality of the wings - they were tasty but relatively small. (We had the 'Carlos' style which are grilled). The brat plate was two perfect size brats for sharing. The fries and chips were both crispy and delicious. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon or evening in a clean, lively, well-served sports bar.

Recommended for well -made Wisconsin bar food. Servers were friendly and service was very good. It was really busy. It's great food at a competitive price. The poutine was super. Brown beef gravy over cheese curds and fries. Wow! Friday the special is $5 off on fish & chips. A very nice deal. The bratwurst plate was essentially perfect, two delicious brats with all the toppings. Nice draft list, would be nice-r if some of those could be discounted a little for happy hour

Stopped by for lunch while out shopping. It's a typical sports bar ambiance with TVs everywhere. So far impressed with server promptness despite a full bar and several tables. Entire wait staff above average for these days which saved it from 3stars. While ok, save your money on the onion rings. Go for fries or chips. Detractors - 1. Buns were gas station quality. Really sad for what was a very good experience. 2 Temperature of chilli was warm not hot. While tasty. (Deserving of its spicy name) be aware it has no beans.

I had the gyros and it was super authentic and delicious! The service was very good and our server was prompt. Being a sports bar, it was loud, but we were able to have a conversation without screaming. Great venue!

Whenever we cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale, we stay at the Hampton Inn North Cruise Port because Slackers is a short walk away, and the food is dependable and delicious. This place has a great atmosphere and fair prices. Service is good, and we enjoy the convenience.

Food was good, as usual. Nicole, the bartender was friendly and attentive. But the barback was really creepy. Leering and touching the staff inappropriately. Made me really uncomfortable. Won't go there by myself again.

Popped in during an overnight visit. The cobb salad was bomb and I loved the hometown bar feel.

Nice little sports bar tucked into a strip mall. In this occasion the property people had the front of the store torn up. The entrance wasn't much to look at but worth the try. The team here was great on a really slow day. They were very attentive and friendly. The bartender and owner went out of their way to put on our game. It was great to be able to have "our game" placed on the screen at our table. The inside of the bar is large and clean. It's very attractive with a million TV's to watch. The high top tables were reasonably comfortable. The men's restroom needed some help though. My house side salad was very large. The ingredients were fresh. It had a decent amount of side vegetables. Perhaps could have used more color and appeal. The salad was very good though! I ordered the 10 piece wings in Asían Sesame sauce. The wings were pretty good size for bone in wings. They were meaty and moist and cooked perfectly. The wing was fried with a nice crisp. The sauce was plentiful but not dripping off the wing. I found the Asian taste to be very mild...maybe too mild. There was no spice or kick. Just a very smooth tasting sauce....but good!

Slackers Bar is hands down one of the best sports bars I've ever been to, and a huge part of that is thanks to Nichole! As a die-hard Bears fan, I never thought I'd feel so at home in a bar surrounded by fans of other teams, but Nichole makes everyone feel like family. Her energy is unmatched, her service is top-tier, and she always knows how to keep the vibe fun and welcoming. Whether you're grabbing a drink, watching a game, or just hanging out, Nichole makes sure you're taken care of and having a great time. If you're a packers fan, this is the only place you should be! Outside of Wisconsin of course. Great party atmosphere and food is fantastic, try the Wisconsin themed food and the Buffalo wings.

Stopped into Slackers the other night (not a big game day) to check it out and see if it might be where we want to watch upcoming WI games. We took a seat at the bar and and took a look around. This place is a no frills sports bar . . .it reminded us of some of the "townie" bars that we visit in WI so I think they met their goal of making it seem a little bit like "home". Plenty of screens that you can see from every seat so watching your favorite game shouldn't be a problem. We asked how early we would have to get there to actually get a seat at the bar on a game day and the bartender suggested 1.5-2 hours before the game. Good to know as I hear it gets packed for game days. Our drinks were well poured and the bartender was quick with my friend's beer grabbed out of the ice cooler. We didn't order any food but the guy next to me had the most delicious looking burger that he devoured and the guy on the other side of me was picking up some of their "pot roast" to take home so I think the food must be okay. The thing I liked the best? How friendly the clientele was. We hadn't been in our seats more than a couple of minutes when the two guys on either side of us engaged us in some conversation and camaraderie. Definitely has a midwestern vibe going on. Nothing fancy, that's for sure. And right now the strip mall that Slackers is located in is undergoing some major renovations so follow your GPS and look for the Slackers banner flapping in the wind. I want to be fair here as reviews are so important to restaurants. My review is based only on ordering to go from this restaurant. Whether you order over the phone, in person at the bar or on a delivery service app, Slackers always and I mean ALWAYS screws it up! We have given this place so many chances in the 8 years we have been going here and last night was the last straw. We will never order to go again, and might just call it quits altogether because of the frustrations of getting a simple order correct. Only thing that has kept us going is the wings are really good, when done correctly! So the issue this time is we order at the bar before the Super Bowl rush came. We ordered 20 wings. Pretty simple. Double grilled, extra wet. Made it very clear. Was told by the bartender who took the order that it would be 10 minutes. Ended up being 45 minutes. When we got home 5 of the 20 wings were the wrong flavor. None of them double grilled. Only 5 of the 20 wings extra wet. Mind you they charge you extra for all these special requests. $70 bill for 20 wings and a beer and shot of vodka at the bar. Kind of pricey! And if you ask well why don't you check the order before leaving if this happens so often, trust me these people want you out when they start to get busy as they were filling up the longer we waited. I'm also afraid they'll spit in my food if I tell them it's wrong again, I've worked in a restaurant before. Lastly, we were running late so had to rush out of there since the order took longer than expected. I don't even feel like calling the manager again to complain as this has happened so many times. They have given me a gift card in the past for mistakes which I appreciate but at this point I don't want anything, I just want everyone to know this will happen to you if you order to go from here. I've been coming for 8 years and I would say maybe twice in all that time have they correctly made my order right when ordering to go. If you sit down at a table they seem to get it right. Not sure if the bartenders are the issue who end up taking the order or what the issue is. Just unfortunate. I will attach pictures for everyone to see what $70 wings look like...

Why?! Why would you call yourself Slackers? Are you opening yourself to jokes about being lazy?! No. I've been coming here for years and never posed the question. Today, I did. Our wonderful waitress clued me in that it's the last name of the owner. I come here for the Fried Cheese Curds. Max and I also got lunch and a libation. If you want a place that serves good food, spirits and a side show of a football game, you will have a fun time.

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would. I live less than a mile from this location and in 4 years of living where I do I've never tried this place. I believe from the ambiance a lot of locals hang out here. The 3 of us were already on strike one for the evening, leaving a different establishment that I will also review after this review and for a Monday that's pretty sad. We ordered our drinks, beer in the bottle and a mixed drink from their happy hour menu and then proceeded to order food. Typical bar food with a little upscale. I normally never finish a beer before my food order comes out but and my 2 guests were now on drink 2, still no food and we noticed quite a few other customers and take out orders were also waiting. When they finally came out with our food, I don't know the exact amount of time but would guess more than 30 minutes later the food was ice cold. We refused it. We then were told they were short staffed and when we asked for the manager she never came over to us but was the head bartender as well, we asked for our check, paid the bill and left. One of their chiefs was sitting outside front smoking a cigarette we asked if he worked there, that's how we knew he was the chef as he told us he was as we were legit complaining about what had just happened inside. What a disappointment. Sorry but now I know why I've never been in this place. If you see the ambiance outside that's what's expected on the inside. Oh, and our waitress, don't get her name, very tiny waisted girl with black hair and glasses whipped her nose with her hand while heading to a table to take an order and we never witnessed her clean or sanitize that hand afterwards. Cash tip was left on the table.

I came in to watch the Ravens game before flying out after my cruise. I seated myself as the sign said to do. But then no way came to wait on me or provide a menu for 10 minutes or more. If I hadn't come for a purpose, I would have gone somewhere else. Finally my server came over and I ordered water with lime and the peel and eat shrimp to start. She brought the water immediately and the shrimp about 10 minutes later. However, she didn't bring any utensils or napkins and the shrimp were super messy. Finally I walked to the bar to grab a pile of cocktail napkins and finally my server came over and brought me actual utensils and a pile of extra napkins. Around halftime of the game I ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and grilled peppers. The burger arrived with only grilled onions. I asked the kitchen staff where the other stuff was for my burger, and said sorry and took the burger away. The table one over from mine had the same problem. Your food is good but there seems to be a lot of miscommunication from staff and that's hard to believe based on the pocket computers used to take the orders. All in all, the food was good but you've got to communicate with each other. That is the reason for a non 5 star review.

Stopped in at Slackers after a buddy of mine suggested it. I'm a HUGE fan of trying new places, especially when there are wings involved! We walked in to see about 15 Ft Lauderdale officers as they were doing a charity event for the special Olympics. Very cool slackers! Showing support for a great cause while collaborating with local law enforcement! We got the cheese curds first. (No pic, sorry) was about 12-14 fried cheese curds on a bed of lettuce. I get the use of the lettuce to make the plate look fuller, but it was unnecessary. Curds were solid. Wish they had a spicy ranch or remoulade instead of the sweet tomato sauce. I asked the waitress which wings she would suggest and she said the Carlos' way. Grilled hot honey bbq. Sounded awesome! Food came out within 5-10 mins but before i could eat, one of the waitresses ran up and said "whoa whoa whoa". Turns out they gave me the wrong wings. They made me flamethrower wings, their spiciest. I offered to eat them but she said no, and took them back. My suggestion in the future, just leave it on the table and offer to bring me the ones i want, or just comp the wings. Instead, i sat there while my buddy ate his burger and waited for my wings. He was basically done by the time mine came out which is the reason for the 4 stars. The Carlos ways wings were delicious(7.2 outta 10). Loved the char from the grill and the combination for flavors was realllllly good. Fries were a solid 8 too. Hot, crispy without being burnt. I think if you live within 5-10 mins from slackers or your packer fan, this place is a great spot to hit. Will I be back? Probably not, but that's only because of proximity.

It is the very best place in Soitjern Florida to watch a Packers game. The food is good, the drinks are good and the staff does an amazing job even at crazy busy times

Took a long time to get our meals. Place wasn't busy at all. The food also missed some toppings or sides dishes. Like the ceaser didn't come made no had croutons. I only asked for no cheese. Burger was missing grilled onions as well.

Went on for an early dinner. Was thinking just a couple of appetizers. Ended up with quesadillas, which were EXCELLENT!!! Husband convinced me to get chicken parm Must have been an inch high!!! Even had I not had the appetizer, no way I was eating that much chicken!! Very good that night and the next day.

Service is decent but I have noticed if you're not a regular you don't really fit in this place. The only thing I order here are wings bc they're the best I've had in the city so far. Typical dive bar so don't expect any above and beyond on the cocktails. Stay safe and keep with beer and wine. A bit grungy at first look but it's decent.

What an amazing meal! I came in for the atmosphere--to watch sports--I ordered ribs, baked potato, and broccoli. I was blown away by the perfection and flavor of the food. The meat fell off the ribs, it was tender and delicious, the broccoli was seasoned with garlic and butter and it was not overcooked, perfection. The baked potato was as all potatoes should be, fluffy, flavorful with butter and sour cream-- again, perfection. The service was friendly and prompt with refills, there were tv's with sporting events all around--I was in a bit of heaven!

Pros: cheap drinks, cheap food, casual ambiance, lots of TVs if you're watching the game. The house made chips are amazing. Cons: the food is inconsistent. I don't love their wings and that's really the #1 reason I come to a place like this. I'd like to see them use a higher quality wing and make them crispier. Sometimes I ask for them extra crispy and they're better, but if they could up their wing game I'd be a regular.

I had THE BEST service , I didn't have to wait for my food ,, the homemade chips are AMAZING! I wanted some substitutions , wasn't a problem . Karla was super attentive and super friendly ! Highly recommend !

Went out for a Saturday night dinner. Ordered nachos and wings. They're specialties. 35 minutes after ordering we asked how much longer before the nachos come out and she said 15 to 20 minutes estimated. The place was not that busy. We walked out.

Great bar to watch a game, especially if it is an FSU game! Plenty of TVs, literally TVs are everywhere. Big menu full of bar muscles, sandwiches, wings, and what not. Full bar with drink specials and a friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!

This place with delivery is horrible. My order was completely incorrect. Missing items I ordered. Requests were ignored on nearly all the items. I would not order delivery. Maybe they can get their act together and not hire lazy people

Slackers is still my happy place after all these years. The bartenders are cool. The bar patrons are an eclectic crew of locals, tourists, and folks who work on boats/yachts along Marina Mile. The bar food is tasty (Carlos' Way wings and fried cheese curds are the way to go). The beer is cold, and the cocktails are strong. All in all, it's a good local dive bar.

Great place, excellent atmosphere. It is located in a strip mall so you really don't even look at it. But it is lot of fun. Lots of big screen tv's and lots of food choices. It is a Green Bay Packer bar so it should interesting on Sundays.... Service was fast and very friendly. Will definitely return

i've come here a lot and i've never gotten charged $5 for a FAKE redbull energy drink along with a shot until now. i've never had this bartender before and never want to have her serve me again. i asked to speak to manager and they told me their isn't one. how do u have a business running without a manager? if i come back and see her bartending i'll turn right on around and leave.

Thank God for servers like Karla. She made the dinner more enjoyable. She was the only one to run drinks , take orders greet tables. The food could be a lot better. No details given. We are locals and will be back because of Karla!

Horrible service waited over 20 minutes and server never showed up until we flagged some one down plus food is horrible the mahi mahi app was over cooked when it is to be seared and served raw. Then waitress was stuck up and talking down to us. Never came by to ask how the food was or if we needed refills. Food is aweful! Slackers suits this place perfectly!!

Update: Back in town!! Had to re-visit Slackers -- was it really what my hyped up Packers brain remembered it as? YES!! And the local Packers crowd was so fun and welcoming Randy was great DJ'ing through the commercials and initiating the "Go Pack Go" chants. Carlos is still running a great bar & grill and keeping the atmosphere amazing! I'll be back

Good service by seasoned professionals. Nice atmosphere if you are a Nole or packer fan but lots of TVs with sports so all good. Fish was old or frozen and not the mahi we expect in SFlorida. One beer was good but the second (different one ) was flat. Pricing would have been ok had the fish been fresh. All in all there are much better options in the area.

Always come here for sports games and lunches with the guys. Great service, great food, great environment. Dailee is our usual waitress and she's always super sweet and friendly. Best sports bar in Fort Lauderdale

we went there to watch the fsu vs Miami game it was packed but Carlos still found a way to accommodate us. Everyone was very nice and the food was great GO NOLES

Great Buffalo wings and yummy French fries. Atmosphere for a Panthers & Heat game was awesome! Friendly staff. Also the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream was perfect.

Had a very long day. Tired hungry and wanted some good food. Looked up food nearby, and slackers came up with good reviews so placed my order around 20 minutes to arriving. Walk in politely asked, well so I thought asked politely the bartender "the dude" that i placed an online order and where I should pick it up. He said let me check and I asked where the bathroom was. Came back sat at the bar for another 5 10 minutes as the other bartender walked by a couple times and never offered me a drink. Baetender comes back and no acknowledgment. I have to ask again about the order. He says yea there is no order. Break out the phone show him proof he says yea let me check again. He says oh yea looked at the wrong screen. Now, since placing the order its been about :45 minutes. Finally offers me a glass of water. He asked would you like some water i said please. Wait another 10 15 minutes. Asked about the order again he says yea they are working on it. I get an alert i tell him its ready. Turns to me " you know what man youve had nothin but attitude since you walked in here. I calmly say " wow really" thinkin its the other way around. . Just wanted to get and get out then rurning on a customer who is worn down from a hard days work and just wants some food in a descent timely manner without any issues? All said and done since the order, a little over an hour. Well food was good but was afraid to eat it thinking something was done to it.

Had a great time playing bingo. Fun local bar with a good happy hour. We went on 50 cent steamer night and I ordered a dozen. Several came out unopened ,and when I let the server know, he immediately said he would put more on and brought them back with a few extra for my trouble. However, they are very small clams- not even littlenecks. The size of the meat inside was a little less than a thumbnail. They were tasty, made with butter and lemon and garlic. However, not worth the value - even at 50 cents each. I also ordered Chicken dumplings served with a side of Szechwan sauce. $8.99. AWFUL. Dry, overcooked, bland - really not good. So that was disappointing. My friend, who has gone several times, always gets Blackened or Grilled Mahi Dinner ($13.99) Grilled and served in zesty basil butter sauce. I would definitely go back to play Bingo again, but would just enjoy the wine/drinks at Happy Hour. Servers were fast and friendly!

First time here as we are in town for a cruise. Asked for Jack & Coke . Tasted funny, asked bartender why. She say they use a generic cola. Managements trying to save a few bucks by serving a generic cola instead of the Real Diet Coke, "Come On Man"!!!!! Tuna melt, fries and salad were 5 stars. One of the male bar tenders or bar back this shift, Nov 5th 11:30pm was doing shots with customers two times that I observed within one hour. Bad Image Unprofessional I hate to rat guys out but if it was my employee, fired next day.

This place was so good, wings were cooked and seasoned perfectly. We are visiting from San Antonio, Tx and would recommend this bar to anyone. Food portions were outstanding, and atmosphere is vibrant. Love all the TV's and decor. Hats off to the owners for a perfect place to chill at the end of our vacation!!!!

Located in a mediocre parking plaza, don't be deceived. This place is clean, fun and good food. It's a typical sports bar. We visited for lunch after flying into Ft Lauderdale and waiting for another friend to arrive. Drinks were good, bar food was good.

So many fun trivia questions on a Thursday and Saturday ! The manager is awesome and the staff is so nice. The food is relatively cheap and it's good. We got drinks, shots, fried cheese curds, and various meals. I recommend going as a group and playing the game.

Slacker's will earn 5 stars from any of you guys from up in da Wisconsin area, but dem Bears fans aren't gonna like it, ya know? Being a Milwaukee native, it's tough to move to a place where football is bad, the fan base is weak, and the team loyalty is luke warm at best. Green Bay was on par with the current Briwns for decades, but that stadium was still sold out. Finding a place where I can be with my fellow cheese heads, drinking a few two-three beers, eating cheese curds and brats, and chanting go pack go is something I've been searching for. It's much more of a culture and lifestyle than even most college loyalties. Well, Slacker's is that spot. Get here early on Packer Sunday because it gets full very quickly. The parking lot is large, so that isn't a problem. Once seated, the staff does their best to make sure your drinks stay full, your plates are cleaned up, and your order is taken. The food itself was good. The kids liked their wings, fries, and grilled cheese. I ordered the brat burger, and it was tasty. Prices were average, which is appreciated. The beer prices were better than expected, so that was refreshing. If you come hear, it's akin to a Lambeau experience in that you'll learn the songs, chants, and celebrations. You'll be swimming in a sea of green and gold. The cheers will echo in your ears after huge plays. Clearly it's a few hundred people instead of 80,000 strong, but it's a microcosm of that indoctrination into Packer fandom. To the owners, you just need to mix Jumo Arou d into the 4th quarter and you'll have hit all the main points. Bloody Marys with chasers are key. Not sure if they do Brandy old fashioned drinks, but if not, add it to the list. Wear your gear, bring your cheering voice, and get ready to tell the team into victory!
