Slainte Irish Pub and Restaurant

I really love this place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch hours (can’t comment on nightlife because I’ve never been in the evening). Two bar areas for watching sports, especially Premier League. Service is great. Variety of patrons who come in are great. Love the atmosphere especially when there’s a game on. Love the historic charm of the building. Food is great. Limited outdoor seating. Not the most (young) kid-friendly spot.

Went her for our company Christmas (holiday) party and was on the 2nd level. Good view of Fells but one downside is no bathrooms on that level. Prob best suite for pary sized 25 or under we had close to 40 and felt bit cramped in there with the buffet stations setup. Definitely an old Irish dive bar feeling and great for watching the soccer matches. Give Sláínte a try when in Fells Point in Baltimore Maryland!!!

Great spot with lots of outdoor seating in summer and festive indoor vibes in winter. Definitely more of a bar that serves food vs. a restaurant that serves drinks. The food is always good though, unsurprisingly a bit pricey considering the prime location. Worth a stop in if your around the area.

Such a cozy Christmas vibe during the holiday season! We came for lunch Saturday afternoon and were seated right away as a party of 7. I ordered the crab cake sandwich and an orange crush. The drink was delicious and the fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing. My sandwich was good, but I felt it could have used a sauce or something along with the crab cake to enhance it a bit more. I tried the lamb stew and cod sandwich as well and loved both of those.

Great atmosphere with awesome service. The two bartenders rock. They covered the entire bar and surrounding tables, always keeping drinks full. The food was good and delivered fresh and hot. The bar itself has a cool vibe with plenty of drinks to choose from and TVs to watch the game on.

Love this place. The Irish breakfast is so good, crab dip, excellent service. Wow, this place is amazing, seriously. The Irish breakfast is next level delicious; you have to try it! Their crab dip is also incredible; I could eat it all day long. Plus, the service is always top-notch and super friendly. The music and decorations are so nice. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you haven't already! I love night music; it's so good.

Super place to watch football aka soccer games Mx the food and the vibes are great and intimate. The food was delicious; ordered the chips with curry, highly recommend. Crab cake Benedict was delicious and the spices spot on. Must visit if you are around

We came here specifically for the Irish Pub atmosphere and to get my wife a Guinness done right. We stayed for the very tempting and tasty food. Service was great. Restroom clean and convenient. Good selection of Irish favorites with a twist that looked like it would please just about anyone.

Nice waterfront location, so eat outside if you can. Irish Bibimbap: 3/5. Perhaps if they had named it an Irish rice bowl my taste buds would've been less disappointed. Crabcake Burger: 5/5. Excellent. Fries were dynamite. Service: 5/5

There's not too many bars in the area that shows soccer games on all of their TVs. This is one!! I stopped in on a Sunday, with a friend that's a soccer fan. I asked for a gin and tonic, made with a citrus flavored gin. The bartender chose a gin called, Gunpowder. I've never had it. It was a perfect choice. For food we went with the crab cake platter, corn beef sandwich and fish and chips. The crab cake platter is served with coleslaw, potato wedges and a sauce. The crab cake needed the sauce, otherwise you couldn't really taste the crab. Pass on the slaw. Loved the wedges. The corned beef sandwich was standard, nothing spectacular. The chips served with the sandwich were stale. The fish and chips were good! I'd get that again! I also tried the Irish Cider on tap and the Empress 75 (French 75 with empress gin). I loved them both!

We have been to this pub a few times. It's always a fun vibe. It can definitely get crowded during peak times. Bartenders and servers here are friendly. Our most recent visit was St. Paddy's Day. It was fairly busy, but with it being on a Monday this year and many people celebrating over the weekend, we were still able to score a spot at the bar on the second floor. We decided to share the leaned corned beef sandwich which comes with their chips (pretty sure they are house made and they are delicious; nice, thick, crispy). The sandwich was very tasty. It hit the spot for a nice St. Paddy's Day meal. Overall, this is a fun pub that always seems to have a happy and welcoming vibe.

I visited Sláinte recently and had a deeply disappointing experience. The bartender's behavior was clearly discriminatory and dismissive, while other customers were treated politely and served without issue. As a person of a foreign origin, I felt unwelcome and disrespected. I wish no one experiences this anywhere, especially in a public establishment. It was disheartening to see such bias still present in a city as diverse as Baltimore. I hope the management takes this seriously and provides proper training to ensure all customers, regardless of race or background, are treated with equal dignity and respect.

I have wanted to try a spice bag for a long time after seeing them on Instagram and it did not disappoint. I have to say, I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but I have to say it exceeded my expectations and may have been one of the best meals I've ever had. The Guinness was really good and the curry sauce was so good too.

Stopped in at Slainte on a Saturday evening, we chose to sit upstairs in the bar area and there were lots of tables to choose from. We sat by a window with a great view of the harbor. The decor was rustic and dimly lit with music and sports games playing on the TVs. I ordered the Maryland mule and we did a couple car bombs. The waitress I was very friendly and from Ireland. Service was fast and our food came out hot. We ordered the poutine and it was pretty good, I prefer shoestring fries to their wedges but we still enjoyed it a lot! The restaurant is in right on the streets of fells point overlooking the water. It's a great spot for people watching and the prices weren't too bad for the location. I'd definitely recommend Slainte for a quick bite to eat if you're ever in Fells Point!

Business partner offered a lunch. All I asked was somewhere that had fish & chips. He delivered with Sláinte! The fish was good and the chips were fresh cut wedges. We sat outside in a covered outdoor area. Brian and Jay provided friendly and timely service. Will definitely return!

Weekend brunch review... We came in on a Sunday morning. Slainte is a divey Irish bar. It's very popular for those soccer fans and adult libations ( of course). For drinks, she had a Morning mule. I ordered a man-mosa. Which is a mimosa topped off with a small amount of Hoegaarden beer. Our starter was a scotch egg. For entrees, Irish breakfast for her while I chose the Waterman's breakfast. That one was a combo of Irish and seafood. Pretty good. Our server/bartender Brian did a great job keeping all the patrons happy. With a little Irish humor thrown in. Fun place to start your day ( again). As always... Slainte

Walked in yesterday afternoon to have a last minute lunch with friends. While we were seated really quickly, the staff didn't come back until about 20 minutes after we were seated. We watched as other tables were helped and we were ignored or forgotten about but eventually someone did come by to take our orders. Our table had the egg white omelette (good), crab omelette (really delicious), poutine with the pork shoulder (good) and breakfast taco (an interesting taste, likely won't get again in the future). The brunch cocktails were also good-- the sangria is on the dryer side, orange crush is standard/good. There's some bar seating, two or three booths and a few tables. It can get packed fairly quickly!

This review is just for the spice bag, as I got it for takeout. I heard about spice bags on tiktok and I was determined to try one, fascinated by the idea of it. The spice bag came in a paper bag, packaged inside of a plastic container. The dish comes with potato wedges, peppers&onjons, curry sauce, and chopped up chicken tenders. The wedges were nicely spiced, had a slight crisp, and were addicting. The peppers&onions paired really well with the potatoes. The chicken tender pieces were just okay, a little too salty and felt like they had been fried one too many times. The curry sauce wasn't my favorite either, it was heavy on the ginger, but I'm not sure if that's authentic or not. The wedges in the spice bag were really good, I'd come back here for them! I could see this being a really good drunk food.

I would give this place 4/5 stars overall. What we ordered: Crab dip: this is 5/5 , an absolute MUST. I have ordered this twice now and it is delicious. So wonderfully made and cannot recommend enough. Irish Bimbap: 3.5/5 . It was good, however, was not absolutely over the moon with the dish. Tasted well and the restaurant was able to plate this dish separately for my friend and I as we were splitting the food. Very thoughtful of them. Maryland Mule: 3/5 it was a tasty drink, however, I had never tried sagamore rye before and it is for sure an acquired taste. While it wasn't my jam, the drink itself was good and strong Service was fast and the outside seating was WONDERFUL. I was so happy to be outside, eating a lovely meal with my friend overlooking the streets of Fells Point. Would recommend this place to others passing through for a drink and app!

Quick service, great vibes, great food! Came for brunch on a Sunday morning and ordered the veggie eggs benedict.

I've been coming here since the early 2000's. Lot of places have come and gone in Fell's over the past twenty years, but Slainte has survived for good reason. This is a great place to grab brunch, watch a football match, have a pint, or have a great meal. The Irish breakfast and scotch egg are great options for breakfast or brunch but really nothing is bad on this menu. Lunch and dinner also have great options. I highly recommend the gumbo and the fish and chips. The shepherds pie is also a great option. Outdoor seating has improved with the pandemic, as for much of Fell's. You can bring your dog if you plan to sit outside.

Classic pub atmosphere inside, great menu! We came for Cinco De Mayo and they had Sheppards Pie Empanadas - which are waitress mentioned they have introduced from time to time. Really delicious!

A very lively Irish bar in a hip and trendy neighborhood. Certainly not a library! Good service and good beers

This is a fun little hole in the wall. My hubs and I wanted to hit up the other famous Poe centered bar nearby, but they weren't open. This was a lovely place to hit up instead. They are a restaurant too - we got a snack while we were there, but I forgot what it was, honestly. We made some friends with the regulars there and sat around watching soccer with Garry from Liverpool. We happened to be watching a Liverpool game. We bought a round a of fancy shots and it was pretty affordable for what it was, so no complaints from me. Fun little spot.

I enjoy Irish food - this place did not disappoint- all of the staff were attentive and courteous. We sat outside and enjoyed the view while we ate. If you are in the Baltimore area by the market place - give it a try

Two of us came here for a Saturday brunch, because they had two essential offerings on the menu: crab benedicts and crab omelets (oh, and of course coffee). Both of our orders were topped with a mildly spicy sauce (instead of the traditional Hollandaise for my benedicts), and it worked well on each. It's very casual here, and the service is friendly. Even sitting in the back of the restaurant, you can look out and get a view of the harbor. This feels like a place you can go for good food, drink, and service, any time of day or evening.

The pretzel sticks were the best thing we ordered. Just the pretzel sticks. The crab dip was mostly cream cheese. The flavor was there but the crab wasn't. My husband ordered a Rueben and was disappointed. Ordering a Rueben in an Irish Pub you better bring it! The execution of the sandwich lacked so much. The beer cheese was listed as home made tasted like velveeta. I was just let down by this spot. The service was amazing!!!

Cute pub that serves up a tasty breakfast! The portions are reasonable for the price and the service is great as well. The ambiance is very much one that feels straight out of Ted Lasso episode. It is also right on the water, so outdoor dining is quite ideal, especially if you have a dog. Our server even put out a water bowl so our dog would not be thirsty under the sun. I would come back here again for another breakfast.

Came specifically for Chelsea FA Cup match when visiting Baltimore. Took a 20 minute Uber from ballpark area of town. Had a 15 yo in tow and great experience. Servers/bartenders covered the area and did great with the outsized crowd. Really only has pretzel bites, which were good but a great atmosphere and fine for a teen midday. Great location.

Although the manager responded within hours of my post with excuses, the bartender actually personally responded with a sincere apology. It takes a big person to admit their fault, own it - but most importantly, grow from it. Thank you, Brian! Boosted you a Definitely will stop in again on our next stay in the Inner Harbor. Slainte!

As seen in diners, drive ins, and dives! Delicious fish and chips and the seafood gumbo was definitely spot on. Having lived in Louisiana, I found this to be one of the best I have ever had. Also the "cup" size potion is more like a bowl. Great staff and good views of the harbor.

Stopped in here for brunch while watching the Premiere League games one Sunday morning. We were especially attracted to this bar because we're big Chelsea fans. We appreciated the decor and ambiance. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we wanted. I ordered the Pub Bloody and my husband ordered a pint of Harp. I also ordered the Full Irish Breakfast and my husband ordered the Corned Beef Hash and a side of grits. All of the food came out quickly and exactly how we ordered it. Everything was delicious! We will definitely come back the next time that we are in the Baltimore area.

Happened upon this place in Baltimore randomly but we ordered the watermen's breakfast which was SO GOOD and we were also able to get $1 oysters outside and bring it in and they were really fresh and good ! Would recommend if you have never gone here. Inside is like a sports bar not the cleanest but it's average. The server was nice and friendly.

Excellent service on a Thursday night, atmosphere is classic Irish pub. Comfortable booths towards the back. Food was decent- I had corned beef with chips- just right amount of slaw to make it a Reuben cousin. We also tried the gumbo- twas nose running spicy. Lots of Guinness beers on tap and harp/ ipas .

Slainte is promoted as the ideal spot for premiere league futbol games', offering traditional Irish fare, great happy hours, and a warm & cozy futobol atmosphere. During COVID times, were merely experienced them for traditional Irish eats take-out. I ordered the Traditional Irish Breakfast & hubby the Irish 'Cheesesteak (corned beef)' Omelet. I will say the food was absolutely delicious, though as an Irish Foodie lover, I would say it was a bit off 'traditional'. The Irish Breakfast: so delighted to eat the moist, juicy black & white pudding-though they were very tiny slices- I wish they provided more. I enjoyed the North Ireland approach with tomatoes, beans, and mushrooms-though the beans were very canned tasting & the tomatoes should have been roasted, but the mushrooms were grilled & juicy. The ham was really fatty but the bangers were melt in your mouth yummy. Overall, a nice representation of traditional the Irish breakfast I know an love, but could use some work...and I'm always moody when places say 'authentic' but don't have soda or brown bread to offer. The Irish Omelet was packed with ingredients. Lots of thick, well cooked corned beef slices bursting out! Filled with green peppers & onions-that should have been sauteed a bit more- and just the right amount of cheese. The potatoes were crispy, moist, and juicy all in one- well-seasoned-perfect with a bit of hot sauce! Overall, it was a very yummy Irish experience, they didn't do anything wrong, nothing on the dishes was un-appetizing or less than delicious-but it wouldn't replace my typical go-to Irish pubs or my typical go-to brunch spots.

The ONLY spot in this area open for Friday breakfast, which is hard to believe! I'm sure their lunch and dinner menu options are better - we weren't super impressed with the size or taste of their breakfast fare. Without other options we made do though and enjoyed the view of the harbor out the window!

Sprinter wad a favorite back in the say when it ran the tues cheesesteak special 1/2 price. Recently took guest there after docking the boat. One devoured the cheesesteak the other had fish/chips. I had good vegetarian berry salad. Service was attentive, but commentary was not the most professional or welcoming. Will see other restaurants when I bring boat cruise participants to shore for a meal.

I was very impressed with the Irish breakfast here! Also got the lox bagel & the works, which is hard to mess up. I liked how they arranged the lox & everything on the plate, and they didn't skimp on the amount of cream cheese they put on the plate either. I haven't been to a lot of Irish pubs, but my association with Irish pub breakfast was previously negative. After trying it here, I loved every bit of it! Very happy with the food here and the servers were friendly too. Would come again!

Not good. Only came here after Preakness because my girlfriends and I were hungry and wanted to be by the water. The waiter forgot out r water and was very disingenuine when we asked about what was good here. He sarcastically responded "well duh the cheesesteak is the very best" in a snarky way. The water was very slow to refill and like o said, the food was really subpar. I wished we walked farther to get better seafood instead of being lazy. The only thing we really liked was the crab dip. But hey, it's Baltimore. There should be great crab dip.

We enjoyed a pint of Guinness and an Irish coffee while sitting outside, across from the beautiful Pendry Hotel located in the historic, safe Fells Point area. Love this place. Great staff

This place is very special, because just like my favorite local coffee shop, they often open early and close as normal bar hours. They show many sports games, and because of this, they will open early for games, think Rugby/Soccer/Europe type games (sometimes as early as 7am hehe). You can even order an Irish breakfast if you are so inclined. One of my favorite parts about this bar is the atmosphere. It feels very local and like family. The bartendar Brian always makes sure my roomate and I have a wonderful time. Very attentive, friendly, and in general happy to be there. This makes me look forward to coming back whenever work gives me the free time. Check it out when you are in Fells Point, you will be happy you did. Menu uploaded for your convenience

OPEN DURING THE SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION -- Don't let that scare you away!!! We absolutely loved this place, and not just because of the bottomless mimosas! The ambiance was so endearing, our server was so effortlessly likeable, and the food was some of the best we've had during our stay in Baltimore. The breakfast tacos caught me completely by surprise with how delicious they were. Highly recommended!

This place is OK. This is the spot to go to watch soccer games. Down stairs is a bar and a few tables. Upstairs is a newer bar area. Both will fill up when a big game is on. The lower level has a couple of banquette booths if you're with a group or are dining in. Decor is soccer scarves nailed to the walls. During our visit there was no big game to view and their music mix varied from Hendrix to new. It was loud and up beat. We sat at the bar for one drink. The barman wasn't engaged with the customers at all. No chit-chat with any one. He kept an eye on your drink level and checked in to see if you needed a refill. The rest of the time he chatted w/other staff and watched TV. There were 3 people working when we arrived. Probably needed as the Champions league game was earlier in the day, but by the time of our visit only one barman was working while the other 2 busied themselves and waited for the later crowd to arrive. Parking is available on the surrounding streets (pay kiosks, 4 hr max) or the E. Carolina St. garage a few blocks away. Do *not* park in the other garage just before the Carolina garage, as they lock the gates at night.

Found the place by wandering Fell's Point. Sat right at the bar on an early Saturday afternoon. Bar keep was friendly and fast. Had a Guinness blonde on draft. No food this time. Decor was Irish-ish. Bar was legit. Restaurant menu appeared Irish fusion. Looking forward to returning.

Slainte is great if im in the area but probably not a place that im ever dying to go to. First visit I was probably a little too tipsy from hitting other bars and thought thats why i loved the food but when I went back sober I knew that was wrong. I absolutely love their nachos they are made with home made chips and corned beef which make them better than any nachos ive ever had! The drinks are also reasonably priced and happy hour makes them even better. So why not 5 stars you may ask.. Well the decor could use some updating.. the seating on the booth side looks like it hasnt been touched in years. Also apparently they share a kitchen with the Mexican place upstairs and I only know this because my fries came with a side of tortilla.

Irish breakfast is back baby! I know this place is great for a lot of different things, but for me it's all about the Irish breakfast. For a city with Irish origins like Baltimore, you'd think there would be more than one place that serves an Irish breakfast, but as far as I can tell, there isn't. That's OK though because these guys have it going on and it makes me so happy every time a big monster plate is put in front of me.

Great little Irish pub, we stopped in for breakfast which was great and later stopped outside for "buck a shuck" dollar oysters! Ambiance was a traditional Irish pub with an old charm. Indoor/outdoor seating in the heart of fells point.

Went for breakfast, sat on the bar. Great service, very attentive. Breakfast food portion was very generous, potatoes, eggs, toast and avocado, very good. Also had a few drinks, great overall.

I may catch some flack for this but I cannot express adequately how disappointing our experience at Sláinte was. First, I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge that we are in a pandemic and I bear that in mind. Big Irish food fans here. Huge! We paid Sláinte a visit on Saturday for a small birthday celebration (four of us and arriving early, around 4:30 in an attempt to avoid any HUGE Saturday evening crowd). They were busy so we snagged a table outside. Really no complaints with their COVID policy - I actually appreciate how they are adhering to it. Service was... okay. We bought four drinks at the bar and closed our tab immediately so we could have drinks while we waited for menus outside. We asked for menus no less than three or four times. They were busy and we weren't under any big time constraints so this wasn't a huge issue. When we DID get the menus we were surprised to see that the food actually came from the place next door. This surprised us because we checked out their menu on their own website, and on YELP, and saw no indication that they were collaborating with the place next door or altering their menu. We specifically chose this place for their Irish menu and the only Irish food listed was a breakfast choice - no scotch eggs as advertised on their site and I asked specifically :( After waiting as long as we had for menus and a second round of drinks, we just ordered out of convenience because surely every other place would be packed. We ordered a pretzel, some truffle fries and a couple of $18 wagyu burgers. The burgers came out well done (ordered medium rare), the fries were COVERED in parsley and half the group stopped eating them because their teeth were speckled with green (lol). The pretzel was good! When the bill came, we noticed they double charged us for the drinks we closed out initially. Then we had to chase someone down to fix it which was no east feat. Soooo note to anyone reading this: check your tickets every time because you never know if you'll be overpaying by $30-$40 Overall, a very disappointing visit. Again, I recognize times are weird and menus change - but it sure would have been nice to know that ahead of time because we chose Slainte for their menu alone. The service wasn't a huge issue, we know things get hectic but the double charging really bugged us and we're glad we double checked.

Great place for futbal or football. Open early for a great weekday breakfast with a Guinness or a mimosa. The host great parties and are always willing to accommodate your wants.

Nothing special. Ate there for lunch with an associate. Service was very spotty - took 10 minutes to wave down the waitress to order and then to get the check. She was very friendly and helpful though. The crab dip at $17 bucks was a disappointment. I don't mind the price but crab dip should include crab. There seemed to be a few strands of claw meat but no chunks of crab that make crab dip special. I realize crab is expensive but either rename the item to cream dip or raise the price and add crab. Or take it off the menu. The shepherd's pie was ok. Nothing special but ok.

I was an Englishman in a past life, I swear it. My proclivity to order fish & chips is well documented. Perhaps it stems from my childhood love affair with Gorton's fish sticks. To this day, I get giddy just thinking about the piping hot baking sheet coming out of the oven, lined edge to edge with those breaded, finger-sized oceanic delights. What was in those "fish" sticks? No one really knows. Fish sticks are like sea-faring hot dogs. But the fish in fish & chips - that's fried battered fish in its purest form. Whether it be cod, haddock, pollock or skate, you know you're getting the best parts of the tender fillet. As is the case with any respectable U.K. pub, a good fish & chips dish will always grace the menu. That's where the dish originated after all, so its inclusion is pretty much mandatory. The "chips" in this version were thick-cut, steak fries. Crisp and golden brown, the wedges were so thick and robust that they actually came close to the size of the fish. And the fish, enclosed in that beautiful batter, was so moist and flaky inside. Splashed with a bit of malt vinegar, then dipped into a side of creamy tartar sauce is absolutely the best way to enjoy these tender morsels. For those uninitiated in the glory that is fish & chips, you have a number of Irish classics including bangers and mash, corned beef and cabbage, and shepherd's pie. Oh, and apparently there was a dish here that was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives called the Irish Bibimbap (full clip here: https://www.foodnetwork.com/videos/slainte-irish-pub-0235417). Had I known it existed during my last trip, I definitely would have tried it. It combines traditional Irish ingredients like corned beef and cabbage with Asian-inspired flair such as rice, Sriracha, and stir-fried vegetables all topped with the ever gratifying fried egg. If you're ever in the mood for some Irish cuisine or just want to want to grab a nice lunch in Fells Point, Sláinte should be on near the top of your list of places to go.

I came because Guy Fieri told me to!! While the food fell a little short of expectations, the staff were super friendly and the environment was cozy (lots of heat lamps during the pandemic winter). The spiked hot chocolate was the star of the night! FYI Slainte shares a kitchen/menu with Kooper's Tavern next door. Both make for a great stop on a night out in Fells!

This place wasn't overwhelming. It was pretty basic. We visited pre Covid because of the daily brunch. I guess if you need a Bloody Mary or mimosa early in the am on a weekday, this is your place.
