Sláinte Irish Pub Oakland

My favorite Irish pub in the bay! The atmosphere and decor of the place is fantastic and the food is absolutely divine. This is the best Irish food I’ve ever had, and a class above any pub food. If you love Irish whiskeys they have 185 available; I’m no expert but they have pretty much every distillery I’ve ever heard of. As for the staff, they are absolutely fantastic. Our waitress, Amber was so sweet, gave great recommendations, and took the time to talk with us during slow moments. The bartender, Lucas, was also awesome! As for life events, have live Trad every Sunday at 4 pm too; can’t wait to check this out. If you’re around Jack London Square Sláinte is a can’t miss!

First time to visit here and it was truly an Irish experience! Great location on the corner within a block of Jack London Square. Went for a Sunday breakfast when they open at 11 :00a.m. Must get the Full Irish Breakfast, plus their Irish coffee is the best I've ever tasted. Our server, Jules, was everything you could ask for - we will be returning! p.s. How could I have forgotten - after walking around the Square, we returned to savor the Guinness Ginger Cake and apple pie. A very Irish ending to our morning!

It’s a cozy Irish pub! I’ve been to pubs in and outside of Dublin and many pubs throughout England. This one /almost/ has that vibe and it’s close enough to scratch the itch. Personally not a fan of most of the beers they’ve had on tap and seating can be a little awkward. The chips (fries) are great! Overall I really like this place, and only take off one star for some of the details. Highly recommend going and grabbing a Guinness and finding out for yourself!

Very nice Irish pub with super friendly staff. We had drinks, coffee and a fantastic cake. In the afternoon. Will come back if in Oakland again.

Lovely Irish pub with live folk music Sunday afternoons and some other days. Amazing ginger cake (with Guinness or coffee).

Finally authentic UK food, beer, and condiments 😍. The belly buster (full Irish breakfast) was so good and reminded me a little of Belfast. Bartenders are super friendly and knowledgeable on their extensive whiskey list! If you’re looking for a Pub in east bay, this is it.

Even if you don't drink alcohol, this is a great place to get some delicious grub. Grub in a pub, say it with me! Anyway, I tried the fish sandwich with potato salad and it might just be the best fish sandwich I've ever had. The fish was high quality, soft and not chewy, and had a wonderful crispy at times and crunchy at times batter. The potato salad was not what I expected, but even better. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. Prices are more than reasonable for what you are getting. I cannot get over how good the fish was and I highly recommend this place. Just because it's a pub and you don't drink doesn't mean the food is not good. Apparently, quite the opposite, so give it a try! Either way, if you drink or don't drink, there's something for everyone. And the ambiance was also great. Reminded me of those Irish pubs you see in the movies. I don't know how traditional it is, but it's such a great atmosphere.
