Slate Cafe Midtown

This could possibly my favorite brunch place in this area. The avocado toast was a perfect acidity level which mixed perfectly with the soft avocados and sourdough. The goat cheese grilled chicken with avocado and red pepper was the bomb. everything was too good including the Vietnamese coffee. Perfect sweetness. will definitely come back!

This cafe is great! The food came very quickly and it was very delicious. My family and I were all very happy and stuffed afterwards. It is also a very chill and relaxing environment.

So great this place for healthy breakfast. Came every day once I found it. A good way to avoid the standard American breakfast (though that is nice once in a while). Avo on toast 👌

Food was incredible. No nonsense, walk up to the register, place an order, then find your own seating. This can be a little hectic and crowded, but the food is amazing. Would not recommend for groups.

Absolutely love this coffee spot. Service is great. Coffee is excellent. They have an incredible menu too. Really clean food. There’s a punch-card for regulars. Definitely a go-to when I’m in the area.

This has quickly become my go-to coffee spot in Midtown East - quick service, great selection, and nice ambiance. It’s a good place to casually sip some coffee or people watch. Highly, highly recommend their Vietnamese iced coffee!

I went to Slate after a really awesome morning workout. It was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint. I got the breakfast bowl and their strawberry/blueberry Greek yogurt bowl with granola. The breakfast bowl was amazing! The texture was wonderful and the taste was great. For the price I believe they should have had two eggs 🍳 instead of one and a bit more avocado 🥑 . Other than that I would absolutely order it again. Their yogurt dish was a pleasant surprise. Based on the picture I was a bit disappointed, but when you begin to dig in you find the blueberries hidden at the bottom. That was slightly overpriced at $10, but it was very delicious. If that was a $7 bowl this place would be a go to spot after every morning workout. The establishment was very cute, but I didn’t enjoy the seating arrangement very much. I personally dislike stools. Other than that you’ll love your time there if you dine in. Pleasant people behind the counter as well. I absolutely recommend you try this place out!

I really like this place. The matcha lattes both hot and iced were pretty and delicious, as were the salmon egg and cheese sandwich. I don’t usually like runny eggs but this version was really good. The outdoor seating is cute and comfortable. It’s a busy place but they don’t rush you at all. You order at the counter and if you eat there, you get a number and they bring the food to you. Came again 10/1/23- Avocado toast was amazing! My dad really enjoyed the mushroom scramble. This place is so good.
