"Slate feels like it should be in Brooklyn or Tribeca, not a few blocks from Murray Hill. So if you find yourself in the neighborhood, make the most of it. Spend a few hours here, and maybe get a sandwich or some s’mores dip (exactly what it sounds like). And feel free to transition from coffee to rosé as the day goes on." - sonal shah, molly fitzpatrick, will hartman, neha talreja, bryan kim, willa moore
"When the thought of making breakfast exhausts you, call or order through Blank Slate’s website." - hannah albertine, nikko duren, bryan kim, arden shore, matt tervooren
"Blank Slate’s Nomad and Midtown East locations are offering their salads and sandwiches for pick-up and delivery every day between 8am and 3pm. You can place your order for things like shaved fennel with artichoke hearts and turkey and cranberry goat cheese sandwiches on their website." - hannah albertine, nikko duren
"Blank Slate is bringing the cute to the 30s, and they brought avocado toast and breakfast sandwiches too. The people who work in this area seem to appreciate their presence quite a bit, as Blank Slate is always busy - but not so busy that you can't score a seat during the day. This is a good move if your fairly famous Instagrammer has a meeting at the nearby WeWork, which she definitely will." - chris stang
"Blank Slate would be an ideal cafe for a meeting if so many people didn’t already know that it’s an ideal cafe for a meeting. It’s almost always packed, but we’ll still recommend it, because it’s easy to get to from pretty much anywhere in the city and it has a fair number of individual tables. If you’re planning on eating, they have good food options all day, but again - the lunch lines can make this place look like a sample sale in Soho. They’re open from 7:30am until 9pm, though, so keep Blank Slate in mind for breakfast, or one of those early evening meetings when you’re not sure if it’s a coffee thing or a glass of wine thing." - matt tervooren
