SLATE Steak, Sushi and Cocktails

I loved the short ribs. The butter cake was delish too. I especially like that they serve Ritual zero proof liquor. I was able to enjoy an espresso martini and hang out with my friends without feeling left out! The atmosphere is wonderful and the server was amazing. I would highly recommend!!!!

Drink selection is top notch, but I wouldn’t order another steak here. Came out closer to medium well than medium rare, and left a lot to be desired in terms of quality of cut. But the whiskey flight is an amazing deal, and they will accommodate special requests (like an Irish coffee, for instance)

First time being there and the bar area is beautiful and the restaurant's nice. It seemed to have great promise. The waitress was pleasant, the restaurant was not very busy and yet our drinks took over 20 minutes to come which should have been an indication of what was about to happen. We put in our order with our appetizers and right after we did I saw a large party going to a back room. The appetizers were very slow to come 25 minutes and were good. Then 45 minutes later we had to alert someone that we still had not been brought our food. They came over and told us: Oh well...umnm we didn't really lose your order and the pork chop takes a while to make... but we had a big party and whatever... And desserts were going to be comped.ok. About 15 more minutes later they brought our dinners. Well, two of our dinners. Then about 3-4 minutes later the other two of us got our dinner... I mean if you're trying to make it up, why not bring the dinners all at once. Two of our meals were very good- the risotto and the tacos. My son got the pork chop which was incredibly dry and had a sweet seemingly off the shelf barbecue sauce on it. The sides were delicious. My wife had hanger steak ordered medium rare that came barely cooked. Even though they were aware this was a bad experience. The manager never came over and spoke to us, and even after that the attentiveness was lax let's say. I feel this is a breakdown of teaming table service which always has the potential to be bad... This was just a breakdown all around and then compounded by the food being pretty poor and the manager never coming over. I don't think we'll ever be back. They did make the effort to comp our appetizers and the dessert which we actually didn't really want but ordered anyway. We didn't order anything remarkable and we left the restaurant 2 and 1/2 hours after we arrived. You might have better luck.

The place is absolutely beautiful. The owner is super nice and welcomed us in. The service was great. The menu is simple and easy to navigate. The options are fairly spread, and everything looks delicious. I had the sliders, sushi, and frys. The frys were crazy good. The sliders were like what mama used to make but better. The sushi was good. I will come back for sure.

A pleasant place to dine with an modestly upscale vibe. The outdoor patio is nice for dining outside in the fresh air. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the blackened chicken with a scoop of mashed potatoes and veggies. It tasted pretty good. I like the sauce that they draped over the chicken. The portion size is okay -- enough to eat and enjoy, but not really about the large portions.

Slate is exactly where I go after a long day or for a celebration. The restaurant and bar always leave me craving for more scrumptious sushi, cocktails and entrees. They do everything 10/10. The atmosphere here is so lovely and the staff are above and beyond. I highly recommend Slate for a dinner date and catching a movie at The Roxy (same neighborhood) before or afterwards! By far the best steak I’ve had in Camarillo. I highly recommend, and don’t forget to order dessert 😋

This place is great!! Fantastic sushi! I had the Slate Roll and the Rainbow Roll with an Old Fashioned. The ambience is amazing and the live music is unbelievable. Perfect date night spot! In this photo that I posted of the desserts, the dish on the bottom is the Butter Cake. If you go here, you have to try it! It’s absolutely amazing! ASK FOR MARITZA!!!!

Came here on a Monday night for our first time. We ordered the edamame and honey bread to start. Both were really good. Edamame comes out hot. My wife ordered the shrimp and pancetta pasta, I ordered the chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans and . My oldest daughter ordered the rainbow rolls. I ordered the chicken to share with my youngest but it was really delicious. I tried the pasta and it was rich and savory. The rainbow rolls were really good too. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying something new next time

The food and cocktails were all amazing, I enjoyed the Chardonnay chicken and my wife had some sushi, both meals were delicious and fresh!! We will be going back soon.

Slate is our go-to spot! I've been for a girls' night and a date night--both times were fantastic. We loved the tempura cauliflower, Red Dragon roll, and wraps. Every cocktail we tried was delicious. On date night, my husband and I shared the Dinner for Two with a tomahawk steak, mashed potatoes, roasted Shishito peppers, dessert, and champagne--everything was perfect. Great happy hour, amazing appetizers, attentive service, and a beautiful ambiance (especially with live music). Highly recommend!

I thought I had Valentine's Day dinner reservations done. The restaurant called me today, 1 week before Valentine's Day and formed me they will be closed. I can't find an alternative this close to Valentine's Day unless I want to eat at 9PM. I really think they could have informed me sooner. I'm so disappointed. It's one of the nicest places to go but this is terrible customer service.

Came here for a super late dinner with a friend. We did the two for one 4 course meal and wow it was so delicious. We chose ceasar salad, sushi, salmon and filet minion, and crème burle. It also came with a glass or champagne for each. The food was very delicious and we got lucky to see an amazing musician perform right in front of us. The server was also very nice and honestly we had a blast.

I visited twice in one week. Ambience is upscale and airy -- nice for a date or special occasion. I ordered the wraps which were lettuce wraps with meatballs and Asian slaw. The first time they were wonderful. The second time the meatballs were dry and overcooked. The Caesar salad was unique with tender kale and a delicious homemade Caesar dressing and topped with a cheese crisp. I really enjoyed the short ribs served with a bourbon sauce, mashed potatoes and crispy kale. The Slate sushi roll was fresh and outstanding. It's my favorite roll here. Breanna served me both times and provided cheerful and accurate service each time.

The food was just so delicious, the tempura Cauliflower, and the Espresso Martini presentation was beautiful. The service was phenomenal, i was very impressed. The ambiance was very classy modern. I will be returning again, I recommend if your in the area. SLATE is a must try and take in the experience. The drink Smokey old man, its pretty neat when served.

Teri our server was great! came for the summer menu, $55 for a three course meal with a glass of wine. Great value, and the Hangar steak was fantastic. So many fun and yummy drinks to choose from. There was live music inside, which was nice, although a little loud. We sat outside and it was perfect. We will be back!

I grew up in Camarillo but have since moved away. Since my move, Slate came into town! Now for the past couple of years when my boyfriend and I come to visit my family, we've gone to Slate for a couple of drinks after dinner. The ambiance is cool & calm nightclub vibes. The bartenders are always kind & know how to make a mean cocktail! The presentation is what gets us every time. 10/10 can't wait to visit again!

Slate continues to be one of my go to restaurants in Camarillo when I want a meal that is elevated and for creative cocktails. Figured they were due for an updated review. I've had many celebrations here at Slate from sponsored events, to birthday parties, it's a great place to get together with friends and to celebrate. The decor and mood lighting here makes this restaurant feel very cool and sets a party like atmosphere. I just love how this restaurant is decorated and the bar is a brighter fun spot to grab a drink and a bite if you are wanting something a little more casual. When I was here a few days ago Joey was our sever and was as wonderful as ever. Joey brings such a great attitude and bit of fun to every table he works with. I appreciated that he was flexible with us when we needed a check split for a large group and he was also very knowledgeable about the menu and gave awesome suggestions. He's really one of the best and I always feel lucky to be sat at his table. The night my friends and I came for an after party cocktail and bite we hung with the owner Vince for a little bit. He's such a great guy and he cares a lot about the customers experience that I make the extra effort to bring my business here as I appreciate him and his hospitality. My friend even filled me in on how much he supports our local community and even more so of a reason to come now to support. Service has been a 5/5 most recently. For cocktails I appreciate the creativity of their drinks and they are always well executed. This week I tried a new one that had Ube and lime, it was fabulous (sorry I forgot the name). For food my go to will always be sushi. It's just so fresh here and the presentation is always very nice. My go to roll is the slate roll but one day I'll venture out to try something else of theirs. I just love my slate roll and sashimi pieces. Camarillo is lucky to have this restaurant and I'm a long time fan and customer. Service has been great, the food is consistent, and they have an ambiance that is hard to match anywhere else nearby. Thank you Slate!

Previously had a pleasant dining experience at Slate at their patio on one of the holidays. Ben was a superstar on our last visit. So of course I decided we had to come back. I'm so glad we had you as our server tonight at Slate. Super friendly & fabulous service. My mom definitely enjoyed her Birthday dinner. My party of 5 enjoyed amazing service & devoured all of the food. Thank you for the recommendations as well! Glad to see the newly decor'd dining room. Even though the ambiance during dinner is dark & intimate, it does seem more open & brighter with the classic white, cool color vibe. Definitely a great date night choice. Came to try out the 3 course Menu Offering in October. It was great! From the menu at the time, you got to pick a starter, an entree & dessert. For $39 a person sounds great to me. Oh, & on Wednesdays, they have Prime Rib. Everyone was happy with their choices. I was happy with my drinks. Had a lovely dinner. And to top off my moms birthday! The Dodgers Won the World Series!! :D

Such a wonderful dinner! Slate was able to accommodate a party of 17 on a Saturday night and the service (Bree) and food was phenomenal! I had a super tender hanger steak, with delicious garlic green beans and even better Boursin mashed potatoes. Their dinner rolls were hot and pillow soft - dangerously good. I had the firecracker roll and it was fresh and perfectly spicy. Their cocktails don't miss either. Strong, aesthetically pleasing and tasty.

pretty good food and drinks. the place is cute inside but there was something slightly lacking. It was good but nothing designates wirh me that made me say "I have to go back for there _____." I will defiantly check it out again eventually and hope to find that things that makes me want to return again and again.

Loved this spot for our first time! Came in on a Thursday night to celebrate a birthday. The ambience is perfect for a semi fancy place! They had live music. Just wish it was not as loud so it's easier to talk. Food was good for the most part. We enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip over the jalapeño Mac and cheese but still both are solid choices. Their chips are so fresh as they make it there. I tried the shrimp and steak special and my husband had the filet minion. We loved both! The shrimp was so flavorful and the steak was seasoned with pepper which was wonderful. Their mashed potatoes are yummy too. It came with a garlic seasoned beans. Tasted great but wish it was cooked a bit more for our liking. The service was excellent. Our sever was attentive. She made a mistake on the order as we did change our mind about the apps. However she came back to apologize and gave it to us still. That's the good customer service. Overall a great experience and hope to come back again soon!

Picked Slate for a Wednesday Girl's Night and seriously considering becoming a regular! We had reservations for 5:30 and we were promptly seated in a booth near the bar. Our server was attentive and so friendly, giving us plenty of time to make decisions about drinks and food and offering recommendations as needed. We ordered the watermelon margarita (one spicy, one regular), green skyes and the naked and famous. All of the drinks were so beautiful and flavors were spot on. For food, we ordered several appetizers - red dragon roll, tempura cauliflower and the wraps. Plating was gorgeous, everything tasted amazing and sushi was so fresh. Every single person we interacted with at Slate was keenly focused on making sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our experience. 10/10 all around and can't wait to go back!

Came by for an dinner a while back for a casual date night. It was pretty quite but a musician was setting up shortly after we walked in. We were seated in a cozy corner which was perfect. I had been wanting to try the sushi here as I heard it is fairly popular. But first i started with a drink. The bad and boujee was super good. My husband got a mocktail. We ordered the peach burrata salad and tempura cauliflower as starters and 2 sushi rolls for the main. Unfortunately there was a little mixup with the order and the cauliflower didn't arrive until after our sushi. The server was apologetic and overall it wasn't a big deal since it all came out fairly close together. The sushi rolls were ok, but the real star for me was the cauliflower. We devoured it so quickly after taking the picture. Choosing a dessert was difficult as the options that night all sounded amazing. In the end I chose the coffee creme brulee. I hope it is a regular item or if not that they bring it back sometimes because it was so yummy! The coffee with the blueberries is one of my favorite flavor combos. Maybe next time we will try the dinner for two or the steak options and hopefully the desserts are as good as this visit.

Came in with 2 couples for my friends birthday and had a great experience! To start off the decor and the overall vibes of this restaurant are wonderful! We went in eli t get some cocktails and apps on happy hour and wow they had a fantastic happy hour!! Discounts on sushi, apps, and cocktails!! We got so excited we ordered so many! I was hungry so unfortunately I didn't take pictures of every single item we got! The sushi was so fresh and all of the sauces paired so beautifully with them. The hamachi was my personal favorite! I got the DIVA cocktail which had a pomegranate foam and I loved it! The service was great, the server did seem a bit overwhelmed, we noticed he did have over 8 tables and they were widely spread out. Caleb and Mike both went above and beyond in making sure we always had everything we could possibly need and they were both so funny and sweet and made our experience so wonderful!! Anytime we finished a plate Caleb cleared it immediately! Mike also made sure we had fresh side plates when we switched between seafood and apps. I couldn't believe we all got so filled up by the apps and sushi that we didn't try any steaks! Twist my arm- Guess we just have to go back, looking forward to seeing the lovely staff and enjoying cocktails and great food!

We went to slate for our anniversary dinner. We had a five course meal for two. Normally, we do not do he fixed menu and order from the menu. However, the options for the dinner for two were great. I had a Caesar salad and my wife had the wedge salad. Both were great. We had the fillet which was done to perfection and the chicken dish, which was also outstanding. We had lava cake for dessert and it was made with rich dark chocolate and very enjoyable. The dinner also came with two glasses of champagne.

Met some of my girls here . Beautiful restaurant. Great drinks !! I had a marg and I really enjoyed it! They have a happy hour as well ! Service was a bit slow though not busy . Our server didn't really check on us . No other staff either. No biggie this time as we were just chilling and enjoying each others' company. I'd be back. I had been here before and hadn't reviewed. I'll be back. Great spot for date night of girls night out . Plenty of parking .

Our Saturday night at this steak and sushi spot was incredible--and Breanna made it unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, she set the tone with her warm, upbeat energy and flawless service. She took the time to walk us through the menu and recommended the perfect drinks to go with our meal (seriously, they were amazing!). We will definitely be back!

My friend took me for my birthday to this place. We had the prime rib and rib eye. Both of our main courses and cocktails were delicious. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great. I truly enjoyed my dining here and will return someday soon!

The best dinner spot in Ventura County!!! Great service and the staff really make a point to get to know you. We feel like regulars. Ambiance is great for date night or a night out with the boys. So glad we have a place like this in Camarillo.

Let me start off with saying if you're not prepared to drop a pretty penny for food and drinks don't go here. Our bill for 3 people was a little short of $500 but well worth every penny. We came to celebrate my husband's birthday and he had the tomahawk. It was cooked to perfection! My steak and lobster was also amazing! The manager was absolutely phenomenal and really made the experience that much better for us. She brought us shots and even complimentary champagne. The piano man had the best voice ever. We have the whole restaurant singing Africa by Toto! We will definitely be back.

SLATE is amazing! I love the ambiance and the lighting and the attention to detail. Exceptional wait service - our server Joey was the right amount of attentive, funny, irreverent and respectful. I forgot to take a picture of the drink on the menu- and it's not listed online-- it's pisco with hibiscus and rose water, lemon and egg whites and was so perfectly balanced and delicious. The New York Strip was flawlessly cooked, and even more perfectly seasoned, even though it was a little more gristly at the edges than I would have liked. I appreciated the pinch of kosher salt and fresh ground pepper in the plate for me to adjust the meat to my palate. The garlic green beans were garlicky, with the right amount of crisp. The double garlic mash was meh. The menu says it comes with my choice of sauce - I wasn't given a choice but really liked the peppercorn. Not sure what the other one was, but if it was the truffle demi glaze - it sure didn't taste like that at all. No mind- the steak needed no sauce. The pork chop came with beautiful, perfect to bite and well seasoned grilled vegetables and a butter maple bourbon glaze. Sauce was delicious - meat was a bit on the dry side. Atlantic salmon came on a bed of primavera brown rice with a lemon herb butter sauce and pico de gallo. I didn't eat it, but my friend said it was delicious. The flavor profile is a bit confusing- lemon butter and pico de gallo-- not something you'd usually pair together - but hey- apparently it works. The sushi presentation was very pretty and was devoured! Not something I ate either - but my friend said it's his go to place for sushi - and he's particular - so I'll take his word for it!! The beignets- oh my the beignets. I've had beignets in New Orleans, and I'll take these ones every day of the week. They were light, crispy and chewy with just the right amount of sweet. No ice cream or other trappings necessary. These delectable bites of divine dessert stand up well by themselves.

This is a regular place in my rotations for dinner. I started off with the Who's your Caddy cocktail. It's a little pricey at $35, but well worth it because they use Clase Azul tequila as the base. Food is always great. I had the Lobster Tail roll. It's a pretty substantial entree on its own because it comes with both sushi and cooked pieces lobster. I could have probably eaten this as a stand alone entree. Wednesday's are my favorite day to stop by because they have a Prime Rib special. It was cooked to perfection! Comes with a side of au jus and horseradish cream. I sat at the bar, which can be a hit or miss. The bartender seemed to be more interested in flirting with a regular rather than being attentive to the other patrons. I deducted 1 star for this reason. Ambiance is great if you come during off hours. But it can get pretty loud on the weekends Overall, I'm sure I'll be back to try more menu items!

My family has really enjoyed our experiences the last few months. We have had Teri as our server and think very highly of her - she is awesome!

First time trying this place out with a group of friends. Everyone got their food minus two of us. Brianna our waitress wasn't that great. Bad customer service. I was promised a gift card by the so called bar manager and nothing. Don't promise something you can't keep.

Celebrating a special birthday and wanted a "nicer" restaurant with a heated outdoor patio. Slate fit the bill. A few other brave souls were on the semi-enclosed patio on this chilly night. The manager found us a table close to a heater. Maritza was at our table to get our drink orders soon after we were seated. Service was outstanding throughout the night. We started the meal by sharing a wedge salad ($14). Nice presentation with lots of bacon and bleu cheese. Really good dish. Based on the reviews, I ordered the vegetable risotto ($24) for my entree. It did not disappoint, one of the best risotto dishes I have ever had. I added seared ahi ($16). Excellent addition! My wife got the grilled Chardonnay chicken ($25). Also excellent. Because it was a birthday, they brought me a creme brûlée. Delish.

Came here to celebrating my birthday. It was recommended by the lovely moms of Camarillo on DB. The vibes are very romantic and more "upscale". We ordered 4 drinks and they were very strong but so delicious. My martini had CBD in it so it gave it an extra umph!! Ok also, the calamari is very delicious. It came with a dipping sauce that was more on the spicy end but still very mouth watering. I ordered the charddonay chicken. Ehh I give it a 6 out of 10. It wasn't too flavorful for me. It was lacking something. My husband ordered steak and the meat just melted in my mouth! I'd take that over the chicken. The service was also quick and our waiter was very attentive to our needs. Our meal was about 200. So you will spend a pretty penny but I would say it was 100% worth it

There are a lot of great things about this place. The fish in the rolls/sashimi is very fresh and high quality. Well worth the higher end prices. I've found most of the other non-sushi dishes to be good, but the steaks a little underwhelming. Servers here are incredibly friendly, but on our last experience the one who started our table had to leave to go on break or something, and our substitute may have forgotten about us. I've never ordered a cocktail here that came out within 10 minutes, and have gone as long as 20 minutes before, seems strange but they usually are pretty good, made with lots of love I suppose. Love the interior design but for a romantic upscale spot, it's very bright no matter how late in the evening you're dining. Get the churro beignets, they are awesome.

Friday night date night could not have gone better! First off the atmosphere and ambience is so nice in this off the freeway location. We chose the dinner for two to make it easier to decide from the large selection and variety on the menu. Everything we ordered was outstanding. Our server was Breanna who was so professional and welcoming to us. She obviously knows what she is doing and her recommendations were top notch! We will absolutely return to Slate along with recommending to our friends. Heads up for great non intrusive service ask for Breanna's section upon making reservations.

Always enjoy dining here whether its just for drinks and appetizers or dinner. Service is always great, theyre always so friendly and attentive. Its a perfect spot for date night and their ambience is very elegant. Top favorite place.

My friends and I visited for "Ladies Night". Fun ambiance and we had a good time. Some of our food was outstanding and some (risotto, tacos) was cold and not great. The drinks were amazing! We had a problem dividing up the check at the end and miscommunication from the hostess on drinks being happy hour all night but not all things on the happy hour menu we were given were all night. We got quite frustrated to be honest but the manager (I believe it was Ashley) came out and made us happy campers. We will try again for sure.

Ok Slate, I see you! I recently moved only about 10 minutes away from Slate and have been wanting to try it ever since I went to an Elite event for Slate's owners newest restaurant, Modern Kitchen, in Westlake. I went in once just for a drink but this time I actually ordered some food as well. And let me just say - I'm so glad I came! This hidden gem offers happy hour EVERY DAY from 4-6, so you can enjoy their delicious menu at a discount Monday-Sunday. I will say, it's not the cheapest restaurant around, but the quality is definitely there. It's worth it! (Especially with happy hour prices). I sat at the bar and the bartender, Grace, is the best. We chatted a bit and she was super helpful and attentive. I got a few different things which were all super delicious. My two drinks I tried were the spicy pineapple margarita and the Head on a Swivel. 10/10 presentation for both, but the spicy pineapple margarita was definitely more up my alley. So good. For food, I got the Summer Roll and the Korean BBQ cauliflower. The sushi was delish and also had beautiful presentation as well. (All rolls $2 off during HH!) Grace recommended the cauliflower to me, and I'm so glad she did - omg, it was sooo much better than I even imagined it would be! It's also quite a large serving you could eat as a meal on its own. Bonus - the to-go containers are the nice kind that you can re-use again! Something small that I appreciated, lol. I'll definitely be back here to try more. Such a good spot for a date night, girl's night, or solo night such as I enjoyed :)

Not sure why I waited so long to try this place. What a beautiful and elegant venue. Love the decor and the way the vibe feels here. The menu is great and the drinks are fun and whimsical. We decided to try the 4 course meal for 2 that comes with two glasses of champagne. We choose the clam chowder for the first course. Very creamy and hearty. Well seasoned and delicious. Next we shared the tempura cauliflower. I personally don't like cauliflower but figured I'd try it. Wow, I ate half of it. It was absolutely delicious and flavorful. This says a lot considering I absolutely don't like cauliflower. Next we shared the 32oz Tomahawk steak (Unga bunga)! Nicely seasoned and delicious. Cooked nicely and really was worth the price. Tomahawk came with mashed potatoes and tempura broccoli. You get 4 different dipping sauces and a mixture of sea salt and pepper. Finally we had the champagne with a butter cake. One of three dessert options to end the meal. The butter cake was amazing just by itself, but you also get some vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and berries. Combine everything and you have heaven on a plate. I would recommend the business to try making it's own whip cream as that would elevate the dish further. Anyhoo, the night was fantastic and we enjoyed everything we tried and couldn't ask for a better experience. Thank you Slate for a lovely evening!

We came here for my nephews birthday and was looking forward to a nice sit down dinner not far from home. First the service was great from our waiter to the constant bus service collecting and replacing plates. The cocktail list was impressive and complex including the signature Smoke and Mirrors which was a show in itself with regards to presentation alone. I also enjoyed the decour which was dark and moody like a upper scale restaurant should aspire to be. A couple of things really were bummers First there is an extensive sushi menu but they one sushi chef who was off for the holiday and so.. no sushi... The food is relatively expensive so I figured whatever was on the menu was going to be excellent. It was good but was largely under seasoned and over cooked. All of the fish dishes were dry, and the burger I had which was medium rare but also dry like every but of juice had been pressed out. The risotto was undercooked, south of al dente where it gets stuck in your teeth. Minor other picky things but the real disappointment was the creme brulee which had a quarter inch of sugar on top and burnt. I believe they need more staff. The bus service was awesome but I noticed only two guys in the kitchen and I bet they were backed up. All in all a good time and has a good opportunity to make a few small changes to up their game.

what an amazing place for dinner! the service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious. our appetizer it was excellent lightly breaded & tender calamari w/ jalapeños , red onion, grilled lemon, calabrian chile aïoli chardonnay chicken grilled or crispy chicken breast, garlic infused buttery sl8 rainbow roll 2 albacore, ahi tuna, yellowtail, king salmon, krabmeat, cucumber, avocado, ponzu, spicy yuzu kosho & an order of yellow tail sashimi seared scallops served with parsnip purée, sautéed heirloom carrots, petite mixed salad, and crispy parsnips theburger chuck & brisket blend patty, butterleaf lettuce, tomato, red onion, smoked cheddar, calabrian chile aïoli, fries the setting is very modern with an open kitchen and a large bar. they have a large wine lust several types of beers and an excellent mixed drink menu. special shout out to teri & the crew for an amazing evening!

I would only recommend this place for drinks. I've had friends tell me this place was good but that wasn't our experience. Our server was very nice , the place is nice and everything came out at a good pace. The problem was the food was not that good, especially for the price point, We ordered shishito peppers for an app and they had no flavor. We had the wedge salad, it was good not great. My wife had the Filet and Lobster. The Lobster was good but the filet was average at best and served with bbq sauce that actually helped! You had to pay for other sauces. I had the Pork Chop it was good size , I was told it had some spice to it but I never picked that up. The mashed potatoes that came with it were not very good, For the price I would go to Cafe Zack or Prime Steak House. We did not try the sushi rolls but I've heard they are good.

This place is fancy! Good thing we came for a friend's birthday party and didn't have to dress up or else I would have felt underdressed! I didn't know you could setup for an event, so if you're thinking of something for a special occasion, this is the place to go! Since this was a special event, the service was exceptional! Snow and another waitress did a fantastic job on getting everyone what they need and did it quick too! For the event, I liked how they started with serving us small finger foods along with drinks, then the main course, and last served us with dessert. It all tasted delicious! The salmon was seasoned well with a nice crunch to the sink, along with garlic-roasted risotto, and very well steamed veggies. My fiancee had the New York strip with mashed potatoes and a side of veggies as well. We asked for it to be cooked medium and came out perfect! Pretty much melted in your mouth and tasted very tender. Overall, great experience! I would have never thought to come to a place like this buy I will definitely come back if I need to for any special occasions!

One of my favorite places in town! Feels like your transformed to a hip chic destination, their happy hour is phenomenal and the food is delicious everything I order is good, today had a good little variety and the espresso martini was on point, service is always good and the vibes are hip but chill

Had an amazing Father's Day BBQ brunch and Breanna was hands-down the BEST server! From the moment we sat down, she was so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The food was great and had a little bit of everything at the buffet. We'll definitely be coming back to try dinner!!!!

What went well , everything! We went for Father's Day brunch and I have to tell you I have not had a better brunch in years! The food was top notch, the sushi was amazing probably the best in town! And if that was enough they brought out sashimi that was to die for! The prime rib was stupendous along with their everything mashed potatoes! The drink selection was the best! Can't say enough about the pineapple margaritas! Not to mention everything I couldn't get to because I was just too full! The best can't enough about the food and the staff. Definitely a must have!

Have been to this beautiful location a few times for girl dates, events and birthday celebrations and it never disappoints. The service, food and drinks are amazing. I will continue coming to this location.

Food: 11/10 Service:10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 This is the best restaurant in Camarillo, hands down. Sushi is phenomenal and everything else doesn't miss. Also the bartenders are all great mixologists, lead bartender is a genius.

Happy hour is where it's at here. The food is so delicious, and they have a great happy hour menu with a good variety of their food and drink to try. Everyone I had talked to recommended the pineapple margarita, and it did not disappoint. Great pineapple flavor while still holding true to a margarita. Really enjoyed the Sl8 sliders and crab & tuna tostadas. I was somewhat surprised by the variety of offerings and that they were able to hit each one perfectly. If you go on Wednesdays, they also have a great prime rib special. For $36, you get a decent slab of prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans. The prime rib was super juicy, and the mashed potatoes very creamy. Such a good deal for such a good meal! The restaurant is very sleek and lively. It just puts you in a good mood being here. They also have beautiful outdoor seating that is super comfy. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and parking is super easy in the lot right outside.

We met some friends here tonight for dinner. My wife and I weren't too hungry so we each had a salad and split the salmon. We have eaten here many times and the quality is always good, but tonight's meal was amazing! I completely forgot to take a picture but I wished I had. Our friends had the pork chop and chicken. No one had anything left on their plates! Hats off to the chef!

Love the Happy Hour at this restaurant. The food, the cocktails, the service and the decor are all top notch. The slate mules are addictive and the burgers are delicious.

Our waitress was the sweetest person, she kept saying my pleasure like they do at Chick-fil-A. We think her name was Teri. Honestly try and sit in her section if you make a reservation. Highly recommend her. We were out for my birthday. Didn't get seated in the best spot the corner was fine and cute but the air vent was just above us. Not bad if you like a chill. Not great for exposed shoulders in a dress.

Staff friendly and helpful for menu selections, dishes swept away quickly and water glasses never more than half-empty! Tempura cauliflower excellent! Chicken skewers good, my meat was a bit dry. Sushi very well done. Ben was great wait staff and Ashley, supervisor?, was always helping staff and giving encouragement- great management style. Came here for daughter's bday and very nice dessert served with candle! So sweet and thoughtful. Definitely going back!
