Yelp
We would have rated a 5 had they not charged a "3% employee health insurance fee". The atmosphere, food, and service is of very high quality. However, the lack of transparency about this fee is unprofessional. There was no disclosure about this fee on the menu or verbally. It was simply a surprise fee added to the bottom of our bill.
Furthermore, why would a business owner pass the buck to their patrons for their employees' insurance? Why not pay for it themselves if it is that important? They are certainly charging enough for the meals to do so. For example, our bill for 2 people was $177.40, plus a 20% tip, and this is without a main course meal.
The assumption that I want to pay for your employee's insurance is exceptionally petty. We did pay this outrageous fee. However, after two visits to this establishment, we ultimately decided not to return.
