Arrived in the registration area and was promptly helped out. Waited maybe five or six minutes before I was called back to the exam room. What a wonderful staff. My technician was a genius.

I was promptly greeted upon entering and put into the system. They were checking my vitals 2 minutes later. I was seated i. The back and nurse gwendolyn was so pleasant. The PA came in shortly after to give me a very thorough examination, followed by the doctor. Immediately after, an xray technician came to get me for xrays, she was super sweet. Ben Carr, blue coat, made sure I was cozy with a blanket and Gwendolyn provided updates and water while we awaiting xray results. It was the quickest and most sufficient visit ive ever had at an ER ( i don't hope to come back ;)) .

The nurses and physicians were awesome. Service was fast and efficient. No wasted tests. I could not have asked for better service. The nurses out front were quick and responsive. Check in process was efficient and quick. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the cleaning staff. Let me explain. In the waiting room there were dust bunnies under the chairs. The dust on the window seals. Everything looked sloppy and unkempt. The ER wasn’t even busy. The bathrooms were not clean in the waiting room or the back in the ER. I am not kidding when I say there was a woman in the bathroom who didn’t lock the door when she went in, smoking a cigarette. If this ER is going to raise their reputation, these workers deserve a place to work that is clean and hygienic. The patients deserve it too. The ER desperately needs to be remodeled and kept clean. I have been going to this hospital and ER since the 1980’s. I have only had one bad experience there and that was with my brother as the patient. A missed diagnosis that completely changed his life for the worse and caused permanent damage. We understand that doctors are practicing medicine and it’s not a guaranteed science. Please consider the remodel for the ER but in the meantime please make sure the cleaning staff is doing what they are paid to do.

The nurse Melissa was the best she stayed with me the whole time she walked me through every step of the biopsy she worked hard to gain my trust, I feel so bad because I gave her an hard time but she kept her word. Dr Guarg was awesome also I am so satisfied with his work he was very gentle, he and his staff did an awesome job…….

From my ambulance ride, to admittance, to being discharged, I’ve never been so well cared for! My paramedics, nurses, and doctor, were exceptional. I was pre-diagnosed and recovering, literally upon entering the ambulance. This is the first time that I’ve actually enjoyed being hospitalized. I’ve led an extremely adventurous and challenging life, and I’ve been hospitalized too many times to remember. Aiken Hospital was actually a fun place to visit. I especially loved the way ALL STAFF MEMBERS HELPED EACH-OTHER and the rest of the patients. All of this exceptional performance helped to calm my WIFE’S concerns - she was extremely grateful to know that I was in a powerful place, surrounded by the most coordinated and professional staff that I’ve ever encountered. The nurses are amazing from the phlebotomist doing my blood work, the nurse doing my EKG, being greeted by the staff during registration. All the nurses and Dr. Minto preparing me for my surgery before and after. A huge shout out to nurse Robin and Amanda who made me feel comfortable and like family making sure I was okay. Ms. Bea for her patience and kindness for walking with me and helping after my discharge. I would highly recommend Dr. Minto to any woman and for their health care needs.

I had a rough weekend. I was there three times once for tests and a CT back again sent home and back again the next day. The care was good. The people are really nice. It makes feeling bad better.

Evelyn M.

Google
The staff was very friendly. Made my colonscopy very smooth. Remember seeing then the next thing I knew they was bringing my clothes to leave. That's some powerful medicine but I slept so good last night.

Yelp
The care I received from the emergency room doctors & nurses were good. I didn't appreciate how the ER Dr. bounced in the room and told me I had Covid. I was admitted and the room was not cleaned for the days I were there. The bed linen was not changed either. The nurses on the 3rd floor were very good. The attending Dr. was excellent. Sad I moved here from another State only to get Covid.

Yelp
The type of care I received from the RN and charge RN on 09.06.25, in room 432, is something I've never experienced before and I'm left. Speechless. Did not receive my PM seizure meds and this hospital did not follow proper stroke protocol. Had me as a full code and I'm a DNR. Went over my med list 3Xs. The RN stated by the time she contacted the pharmacist that my meds would start on 09.07.25.

Yelp
Well...after a long wait they gave me somekind of full body scan with a huge machine and I don't know why or what for? ?? I went there origionally because I felt like I had another kidney stone that wouldn't pass and was in pain..Sat there waiting for 3 long hours and never got anywhere...Finally got up and left totally disgusted..I think I may have passed it now on my own and will not be going back there...ever! I will go to my primary care physician only in the future..When I left there the waiting room was still getting more people in...very poorly organized there...no one tells you what is going on..Sigh. The office person was very nice though.. Good luck!@

Yelp
Horrifying Care!!! I've never been so upset with a hospital in my life. We have been sitting here for over 7+ hours, witnessing an appalling level of care and disregard for patients. While waiting, we watched a young girl have a seizure in the waiting room after her companion warned the nurses FIVE different times about the risk if her blood sugar got too low. Despite these warnings, they dismissed her concerns every single time. When she finally had the seizure, I had to get a nurse myself -- only to be yelled at for doing so, as if helping a suffering patient was an inconvenience. Unbelievably, they sent the girl home that night with kidney failure, even though she clearly needed to stay overnight. As if this wasn't bad enough, my mother came here because she's experiencing severe pain in her arm and can barely move it. Given her history of a mini-stroke and a concussion, we are seriously concerned about the potential severity of her condition, yet we're still sitting here waiting, hours later. This level of care is completely unacceptable. How can a hospital dismiss patients with such serious conditions so easily? It's clear they are understaffed and uncaring, and I would not recommend this place to anyone who needs real medical attention. If you're looking for a hospital, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

Yelp
ARMC has definitely improved over the years. Took great care of my mom during covid and just recently, saved my husband's life. Very good people at this hospital!!

Yelp
They like asking "Have you been here before?" For this visit, my little patient can say "This is the first place I've ever been! I was born here!" Fortunately, this is the first time he's been back since he's been born! Security is semi-tight. I needed to drop off a jacket and they only allowed me to get to the front desk and leave it with them. Will keep you posted if any issues arise. Been almost 2 hours since they went in.

Yelp
My Iraq Veteran son was admitted into PICU on the 20th. Had some good experience for the most it was a dumpster fire. Here are some examples: 1. My son was detoxing from Alcohol. He has severe PTSD. He started drinking to make the flash backs stop. Well when the alcohol was out of his system the flash backs came back. In the middle of the night he had a awful nightmare. He went over the bed rails and and was begging someone not to stab him. And how did the weekend staff deal with this? They refused to allow him out of bed for 48 hours. This includes leaving a 4 siderales up. A JACO violation 2. We were moved out to a bed on the 4th floor. And that is where I met case manager " Margaret" Who told me that if I could pay 1500 a day he could do PT there. And when I asked if this is how they respect veterans? Her response was his how they deal with anyone who can't pay. They they were a business. I know I'm just one poor person in Aiken. But I will never spend a dime with this hospital.

Yelp
I would not want to be admitted to this hospital because the Emergency Room is filthy. In my time there I visited two bathrooms and one was gross, the other marginal. The nurses I encountered impressed me as being miserable in their jobs, and one was very unpleasant. The physician genuinely tried to help me, and one nurse, Christian, was kind and attentive. But I am used to clean hospitals. I have visited cleaner hospitals in Third World countries. Very disappointing.

Elliot L.

Yelp
I had to go to their ER a couple of weeks ago. The personnel are caring, professional and understanding.

Erika S.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. Waited there for 8 hours, staff is EXTREMELY rude. The ladies at the front desk had the most atrocious personalities

Yelp
This Emergency Room is the worst! They do not have enough beds and keep people waiting for hours. My mother who has dementia was brought here from a nursing facility and was left in the hallway for 2 hours. They wouldn't let anyone be with her. The staff had very short patience. There were ER patient who had been in rooms for more than 10 hours. An elderly woman had been in a ER room for 2 days. I mentioned to one of the staff she was cold. She also mentioned she had not eaten . The woman was not capable of feeding her self, nor did she have family with her. She was unaccompanied. My mothers physician had the worst attitude and spoke to my sister in a very unprofessional manner. I eventually had to call the nursing director Ms Susan who was understanding. I'm am very disappointed with the level of service and care that Aiken Regional center ER provides. Not to mention there was dried blood under my moms bed. Monday a director called to discuss my issues. Bottom line Aiken needs more options for Emergency care, beside Aiken Regional or GA hospitals.

Yelp
I have had surgery here and other medical procedures. I always have received excellent service and care. Many people have written bad complaints but no matter where you go there will be complaints. My family has been in hospital in Augusta and really had bad experiences there which I know for a fact. I am cancer free and thanks to the doctors here and how well they do here. Kudos to Dr. Frei. I will recommend this hospital.

Yelp
I am majorly unhappy with this hospital. First things first, we come to the hospital last Friday to give copies of insurance info and drivers license and such to make sure we don't have any hiccups and the process is a little smoother- WELL the hospital staff tells my father he's good to go and just show up Monday and a nurse will walk him back to surgery no problem. We show up Monday and the front desk tells me my father isn't on the list at all. Nobody seems to have a clue. I get panicked because this is for a lung biopsy and the nature of the visit is very urgent because his cancer is aggressive and we need to find out asap to be able to treat it. We ask them if his pulmonologist is even in the building and they say no Dr. Li is not here... Dr. Li WAS THERE and he was waiting for us to come up to the 3rd floor!! Most of the nursing staff was unpleasant and had terrible bedside manner. I am very nervous about returning to this hospital if any more procedures are needed.

Yelp
This is by far the worst hospital I have ever been to. The staff act like they have no clue what's going on. The doctors are uneducated.

Nola C.

Yelp
terrible care-----did not know reputation of this place. my son went there and should have never been there, would not do a needed biopsy on him due to no one there to do it. He suffered for 2-3 weeks- Dr Flanders the oncologist was terrible- my son told the doctors ---- you didn't give me a fighting chance--- one round of chemo almost killed him ---- he should never have gone there and might have been alive today. Flanders needs to learn compassion and a better "bedside manner".

Yelp
My wife and I are setting here please for 8 hours. They did an X-ray about 7 hours ago and had the results shortly after. This er thinks less people have an emergency on holiday. We probably could ha... That was the original review. The 7 hours turned out to be 14 hours. The results of the X-ray were available at 9:30am. We had to wait a total of 14 hours to be told by the doctor the fracture will heal on its own. We were given a prescription for pain medication and dismissed. After the results of the X-ray were known we waited about 12 hours to be discharged. Somebody it not doing their job. Or your system is broken. Ken Bryan kensally@atlanticbb.net

Yelp
My wife has several proven heart problems. We arrived at the emergency room around 11:45 and we're ushered in with a wheelchair. She was having strong chest pains and had difficulty breathing and staying awake. She was taken immediately to triage and then returned to the waiting room for results of blood work. They did a chest x-ray and returned her again to the waiting room where we sat for 2 hours. We were then moved to an inner room where we sat for 45 more minutes. The nurses were extremely rude and uncaring. The doctor arrived to tell us that was nothing wrong with my wife. When she questioned him about anxiety medicine to prevent future problems, she was refused. The final option of the doctor was to tell her to go home and drink some Jack Daniels. My wife has been a nurse for 32 years. She knows her medical problems .We left the hospital and returned home. The emergency room is the most uncaring and extremely slow part of the hospital. HIPAA laws were violated because the attending nurse discussed my wife's problems in the hallway loud enough for other patients to hear . Tests on a heart patient should be quick and yet we sat for hours not knowing if she was having a heart attack or not. I will not return to Aiken Regional in the future I will use one of the hospitals in Augusta. Aiken needs a new hospital. I wish that could happen.

Yelp
This hospital is okay. I can review it from two different perspectives, as a former employee and also as a patient. I worked at Aiken Regional for about a month in EVS. The EVS crew was great and they made sure I was okay my whole shift. However, when it came to needing the nurses for any reason, a lot of them were super rude to me or they would just stare at me like I was stupid and then completely ignore what I asked them to do for me. I don't know if the thought of me made them look down on me for being a housekeeper instead of a nurse like them, but for me to be ignored when I specifically needed them to come remove stuff for me really used to get under my skin. That being said, EVS is a great department to work for. The staff there is great and time goes by fast but it just wasn't for me. I wasn't cut out for the position personally, but it is a department I would recommend for anyone to try. As a patient here, it's also just okay. I came in because I was having abdominal pain so bad it had me in tears and I wanted to get it checked out just in case something was wrong. I went through the ED and the lady who worked the desk right when you walk into ED was the RUDEST person I had ever met in my whole life. I wish I would have caught her name. Another thing about ED before you're actually taken to your room, there's two nurses that call you to behind the desk to get your blood pressure, weight, reason for visit etc. but it's not very private and everyone in the ED can hear how much you weigh and basically learn everything about you which I personally just feel like that's personal information and gathering stuff like that should be in a more secluded area. Maybe that's just me being self conscious about my weight, but either way I don't think anybody's weight should be broadcasted to whoever else is visiting the ED. Moving on, the nurses who took care of me at the ED were mostly good. I had to get my blood drawn so they could run some tests on me, and it took about four hours to get what I thought were my results. One of the nurses who assisted in drawing my blood the first time came in and told me she needed to draw more because my blood had clotted so they couldn't test it. My arm was still super sore from the first time I was poked so she used my other arm and that one didn't even hurt at all. My results then came back about 15-20min later. Luckily, I was okay but just the four hour waiting in between was crazy to me, but they were all nice to me and I might of annoyed them a little by talking to much, so I apologize if I did! Haha... Upon being discharged, I left the parking lot only to realize I forgot my wallet in my room and had to go back in to get it. The lady at the front looked super annoyed that she had to go grab it for me. Like my bad, I'll just leave it next time so someone can still all my information. :D

Yelp
Good, okay, poor: Good.... volunteer Greeter at reception was great to show me to right place to check in for Test. Pre registration was a little slow with one patient ahead of me, it would have been really bad if more than one ahead. Poor...Registration just shouts your name from behind glass and hard to hear from seating area; I had to go up and ask if I was called. The most stupid part of my experience was registration. After accepting my CASH co-pay for that visit, I asked for clerk to accept my cash payment for a previous visit; I gave her the bill and my 10$ cash. The clerk fiddled for like 10 minutes trying to figure a way to accept this payment for a previous visit. By then I was worried about being late for my Test. She finally said something akin to this: "I can't figure a way to take your payment, what do you want to do?" I said I'd take my money and bill back and did that in frustration. I also told her politely she should talk with her boss about this issue. Can you imagine any business that has no way to accept a payment? How stupid is THAT?! The okay...was the Test. A student and her Trainer did the job. Because of the training, it took longer and was uncomfortable for a longer time; but I was glad for a student to gain some real-world experience.

Yelp
I was taken to Aiken Regional with a fractured ankle. I didn't have to wait long and service/care seemed to be good. I am a self pay patient, so I paid in full up front. I was told by the person collecting my money, it was the only bill I would have as it also included X-rays. I questioned that a couple times as I knew, x-rays would be additional, but she reassured me the amount I paid included ER, x-rays and Dr. She was wrong, very wrong. Staff needs to be educated better. Now it is 4 months later and I am still unable to get an itemized receipt with CPT codes to submit to my insurance share plan. My first two calls I was told no statement could be produced since I paid and no insurance was being billed, but they'd have a supervisor call me back. Twice, no one called me back. Third call, I spoke to a billing person that said she could produce an itemized statement and would submit to CHM for me with all my information I provided. 3 weeks later, I am being told the request didn't go through because an itemized statement can't be produced. How can I be billed for something that has no diagnosis code? I am currently waiting for a call back....

Yelp
Friendly lady at the register process. White female nurse didn't announce herself upon entering room being seen and did not introduce or greet herself to me as a patient. She never told me I was get to go after she sent my prescription via electronically. Spoke to me about how to use my medication outside of the room I was being seen at and walked off. Appeared to be uncomfortable because I was a black male. Overall I was not satisfied with the Professionalism at this facility and won't be returning here for any other problems regarding my health.

Sarah W.

Yelp
if I could give zero stars I would. we will never use this hospital or it's affiliates again. administration and billing are ridiculous

Yelp
This was my first time in aiken hospital. I was in room 405.all my time in hospitals has, been at agusta u.(mcg). But my stay at aiken hospital, was a truly wonderful experience to be treated as great as I was.the nurses I had were lexi, myrtle, cheery, aster,Chelsea. The tech were Christian, sara, nadia, dametria. These ladies should be recognized for not only their profession, but also for their care about the patients. I love them all. And unit leader Debbie .prayers at mt bedside with me and my wife.(how blessed we were).her prayers were answered, in getting the right people. My love and thanks! Also the evs workers Detrica was awsome. Ricky woodward love and thanks

Yelp
I have come to this hospital multiple times and ended up leaving after 7 hours and not even being soon by a doctor! Had to drive to Augusta University hospital because they are way faster but longer drive. It's crazy. One time I had asked how long it would be to be seen they said about 9hours so I left feeling absolutely terrible. Yes they aren't supposed to say either but they did. Today we have been here since 7am and it's 10am now. Still haven't been seen and they are having to check vitals twice with every patient in the waiting room. Also not many patients either.

Rho W.

Yelp
Okay... except ER can't contact your recent surgery doctor unless they feel they need to... even when you ask them to.

Yelp
Worst medical care I've ever gotten in the ER but once you get upstairs the nurses and doctors are WAYYY more compassionate towards patients if you have been there more than 3 times due to severe panic attacks due to unknown conditions the whisper to each other while looking at you when you come in by ambulance it's said that they take an oath to take care of patient's no matter what! Us as a patients do t know what is wrong with us and to get wheeled in and then to have the nurses and doctors whispering back and forth rolling their eyes saying what's he here for this time is pretty unprofessional and pretty damn sad I finally got to the write place that actually cares for me and is helping me with my severe panic disorder and anxiety disorder along with ptsd they treat patients as if they are there for drugs at least the ER doctors and nurses do once you get upstairs in a room they treat you like an actual human being with actual severe health issues instead of rolling their eyes saying 'what's he here for this time' it's not like I enjoy spending my whole night in a damn ER I'd much rather be at home in my own bed I don't get excited to go to an ER especially Aiken Regional Medical Center, they need to fire 99% of the ER NURSING STAFF AND DOCTORS AND GET DOCTORS AND NURSES IN THERE THAT ACTUALLY TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR JOBS AND REALIZE THEY ARE DEALING WITH ACTUAL PEOPLE WITH ACTUAL PROBLEMS! IF I WAS TO GIVE ANY ADVICE ID SAY GO TO AUGUSTA UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL! They treat people SOOO much better there and actually work to find the root of the problem and try an either fix it or get you somewhere that will get you help/fixed plus they are super nice and couldn't believe me when I to;d them how Aiken regional treated me all they could say is that's sad and pathetic which I agree! So if I could give zero stars I would this is the worst hospital I've ever been to and I've lived in a few different states. They have adults that act like they are damn 5 years old whispering about patients and laughing and then send them to the front waiting room instead of giving them a room in the Er especially one time when my hemoglobin was a 3.7 due to a severely bleeding peptic ulcer which I had to have surgery pretty much immediately and then given multiple bags of blood to get it up to a 9.2 before releasing me. So I'd stay FARRR away from this shit hole of a hospital!

Brenda G.

Yelp
First thing they ask is how you going to pay and then the lady up front was bad on communication. We asked if that was the only bill other than the testing and she said yes that's all and we told her that we don't like surprises. Next thing you know, we received a bill. I feel like they are more interested in our money than our health. I definitely recommend going to Augusta University Medical Center.

Yelp
I've been to rehabs before and detox facilities, this place is terrible. Lets get the positive out of the way. The nurses are friendly and caring. Now the negative. My federal patient rights where violated here. I came in on a Monday and by Thursday I felt ready to leave, AMA of course. "Doctor" Walton came into my room and was extremely unprofessional and rude. I asked to sign out AMA and he said I was on involuntary hold, I asked why and he said that I told him I was suicidal...which I did not. I then asked to see the AMA paperwork and he straight up said "no" and just walked out of my room. I asked a nurse to see my involuntary hold paperwork and it was written on there that I told the "doctor" that I was suicidal, which was a straight up lie. IE: thats fraud. Paragraph 3 and 5 of AMA paperwork alleviates a medical facility of any responsibility of what happens to someone when they leave that facility. He then made a show about it and brought in a security guard who directly told me that if I left of my own volition that he would arrest me, cuff me, and bring me right back. Then you want to say I'm on involuntary hold because you claim I'm suicidal? Thats a federal minimum of 72 hours, yet they released me the very next day. And releasing someone who is "suicidal" short of 72 hours then means you and your facility are responsible for their actions. So I was lied to, treated like shit, fraud was committed, minimum standards of care where not followed, and my rights were violated. This place is terrible and walton needs to loose his medical license.

Tim G.

Yelp
Brought patient to er, 1st they did nothing to treat the HR of over 145, x-ray was good, but cat scan- immediately after injecting die, the patient coded, hmmmm...... ICU-you do not hire a nurse right out of school to work in a ICU-BIG MISTAKE. MD"S need to work on bed side manor, and communication with family prior to doing certain procedures. And Never discharge a patient from the ICU to home when they cannot swallow. This is called malpractice! And patient endangerment.

Ann R.

Yelp
Called the main switchboard in order to find out if a patient was admitted last evening. The phone rang several times - finally got a recording asking me to dial the patient's room - which I did not know. This went on at least three times. Finally dialed billing to see if someone there could transfer me to a human. The lady said said she was sorry, there was no way she could do that. Thank goodness I haven't had an emergency. Any time I have needed surgery, I have been able to pick a physician in Augusta and been treated very well. And yes - the phones at those facilities answer the phones promptly!

Yelp
If you want to live or even want decent care, DO NOT USE THIS HOSPITAL!! This is the absolute worst place to have to be when you're sick or have a sick loved one. My father experienced a 2nd heart attack (6mths) AFTER having two stints placed here, his dr seemed polite and attentive. The 5th floor nursing staff, however, was extremely rude and just awful at providing general care. Initially, we thought maybe they were busy, but this went on for days and days and we consistently found the nurses just sitting at the desk eating and laughing. We also witnessed many other people at the desk complaining their loved ones were not being cared for either so we realized this was not a "busy" issue. The nurses would leave the room and would not return for hours at a time, we consistently had to go to the nurses desk to ask if they would come help my father when he need something, they didn't feed him until 9pm the SECOND day after he was admitted yet we were told he was not on any dietary restrictions. He was not provided with any of his other daily medications, they mislabeled his labs had them entered under another patients name but were actively collecting his blood and urine even after I told them the cup and vials were labeled wrong. It took a lab technician speaking directly after I did to get the nurse to hesitate at all but she still finished and placed the collections on her cart out the room. Then, when my dad got sick to his stomach due to not having his other medications, the nurse was laughing at him while he was sick and just walked out and never came back leaving us to help him in the bathroom. She had also apparently left the desk mic on so when she went back to the nurses station we could hear her clearly breaking hippaa by loudly talking about my father (even giving his room number) and mocking us for being upset when she was supposed to provide his medicine hours prior, which would've prevented him from even being sick. I have NO CLUE how this joke of a hospital even stays open!!

I have had nothing but great care from housekeeping to neurology. I appreciate the fact that everyone gets along so well as I've never heard any of the staff arguing with each other. I waited five hours in the ER lobby but other people needed more care than I did - some of whom came in by ambulance. I have nothing to complain about!!

Yelp
I have been to this hospital a few times and have to say they are terrible. Last time I was very sick and was told by a prompt care to get to a hospital right away or you might die or be disabled. So I went. They sent me home with a fever, raging infection, and in serious pain. Not acceptable, I had to check into another hospital who kept me for three days. I personally know 4 people who tell me that this hospital killed someone they love and know of 5 other people who tell me they almost killed them. Shame I didn't hear these stories before I went there a few months ago. Unless you are suicidal do NOT go there. Their advertising is false, their staff rude and hostile, their care suboptimal. Why they aren't shut down amazes me!

Yelp
I spent four days in this Hospital and it was the worst experience of my life. The nurses were great and the emergency room was great but the doctor I had was terrible. The doctor was rude, inconsiderate and no bedside manner what so ever. I will never go back there again. Dissatisfied Patient

Yelp
Avoid if possible and head across the bridge to University Hospital in Augusta. The first thing I learned when moving here ten years ago and it still holds true.

Yelp
I want to love this hospital but they continue to let me down each time. We go to hospitals to receive help and treatment for ailments in which OTC products just won't fix. Yet time and time again the ER transition time with addition to the patient wait room stay....6-8 or more hours....What are they doing during the transition time. I would say a LEAN Coordinator is needed to get the ER process moving in a positive direction because as of right now........the stay time is too long.

Yelp
We just moved from NJ to Aiken SC thinking how beautiful and cheap it would be here and how cheap the new houses are. There's a reason why everything is cheap. Horrible response time for medical care. No jobs here either. My baby was burning up with a horrible fever one night where his skin burned my hand when I touched him. I went across the street from my house to Aiken medical center. The security guard tried to stop me to put a sticker visitor pass on me. I told him get outta my way and that has no importance to a infant emergency. My son was completely limp in my hand barely moving. By the time they took his temperature it was 104 . Very dangerous! He could have died. The nasty women at the front end emergency told me it's first come first serve. Doesn't matter what the emergency is. They were not concerned with baby at all. Told me the wait was so long they didn't know when or if they could see him! I went back to my house across the street and dialed 911 thinking they would have to treat him asap. 22 minute response time to my house! Then 2 Emt women showed up. One was an old lady who could barely walk. They did not know how to even work the gurney. Took forever to unstrap it and put my son in. 26 min in driveway. They said they do not move fast or talk fast like I'm used to. I'm like what do you mean. You gotta move for an emergency!!! My son almost died. I had shoved Tylenol down his throat waiting 22 min for 911. By the time we left driveway his temp was 101..she then radioed it in that she had a non emergent toddler! We went to children's hospital of Georgia where we waited for 12 hrs in a lobby! They did dose him again with Motrin and Tylenol when I got there. But we waited 12 hours. There was no covid test or anything. Just sent us home. The south doesn't realize the medical attention is so bad compared to NJ. NJ has the best hospitals around. I had baby tested. He has omicron. Shame on Aiken medical center for being so cruel to my baby. They could have caused his death due to him having no medical attention and all he needed was a fever reducer and a doctor to diagnose!! They do not care about anyone at this hospital. Not babies. Not the elderly. Nothing. So if someone has a cut on their hand they should go in front of a dying baby!?!?. I told them I was calling the news media. They said good call them. We dont care. This hospital should be shut down and investigated!!! Do not go here or you will die!!!

Yelp
I would put a negative rating if I could!!!! My Mother was left in a room in the ER for more than an hour after we rushed her by ambulance there because she was having stroke like symptoms. I was not allowed to go back with her and no questions were asked of me. They entered her name wrong so they screwed up from the get go. She had a dangerously low sodium level and has obvious mental issues now that she did not have prior to Wednesday. Horrible medical decisions were/weren't made in time that have resulted in a very intelligent, independent and important woman being left dependent on others for her care

Yelp
I went in today for an MRI the Technologist was Joshua Tune. The whole procedure was one of the most pleasant I have had. He was professional but easy to deal with. I have had many MEL's in the past and was not looking forward to it...thanks Mr. Tune for making an unpleasant procedure - pleasant.

Yelp
After suffering the loss of my daughter as well as major health problems went to the aurora pavilion to get some help with my depression. Was offered a useless program. They have once again proved that aiken hospital is useless.

Yelp
Aiken Regional took great care of my dad. He went from the ambulance to the Cath lab within minutes. The procedure was performed very quickly and he was moved to his room in ICU. Great communication from his doctor and nurses. Can't be more thankful for what they did!

Yelp
What can i say other then the energy is different from night to day,i dont feel like my illness matters to some of them and i truly think LEAN needs to really look into the er department. There is no real privacy you can hear when the nurses or doc are speaking with another patient about there visit..HIPPA violation there. Then you wait for hours despite covid it was the same long before to be seen in ten min or less given a paper and told to go to some other doctor so they can do what was done there again. What is up with this place. I hate its the only option close by we need better options or we all will end up.....so disappointing. Not all the docs care or nurses but for the few that do this is not about you all, you can tell who enjoys what they do and who dont. I spent working hours here and they dont check on you to see if your breathing or ok just go on about whateverr they doing. Maybe they need more help that way the wait wont be so long and the doc aren't pulled in 1000 directions.

Yelp
pray you die on the way to ARMC opposed to getting service there. They have performed unnecessary surgery on me. The ER is a disaster. the staff is nothing but rude and they never know what left hand is doing from the right hand. It is joke of a hospital head to Augusta if you have to drag your dead body to do it.

Yelp
i went into er with severe pain in my toe because it is an ingrown toenail, and i am limping. because the pain is so bad, the dr was in the room for no more than 5 min. tops and looked at my toe and said " theres nothing we can do". the doctor and the nurse are both cold hearted and have. no feelings , empathy or sympathy for anyone , i hope they both go to...... ( you get the point) , i walked out of er crying and in tears and noooo one cared. they are useless. and insensitive .... the registration lady consoled me she seemed to care. but. nurses and doctors. are good for noooothing .... useless !!!! please do not go to aiken regional hospital. the nurses and doctors are useless. !!!!

Yelp
A had a procedure this year and received a bill to which I called on multiple times to get information and make a payment. But this hospital had virtually no one answering phones and they readily sent it off for collection in no time. Unfortunately I paid it off without knowing what it was for and why? Very irritating since I have no problem paying my bills.

Yelp
I have been to this hospital a few times and always seem to have a problem with at least one nurse. Last time I had surgery there that was actually not needed and made me so sick I didn't eat for a week. Truly a terrible experience and should not have ever happened. The preop also took two and a half hours and apparently they kept mistaking me for some other patient during preop! They really bother people to fill out their survey yet I have asked them to contact me regarding this visit and surgery, no one has. I have called and left a message for them about this and still no call back. Avoid this hospital as if your life depended on it because it does.

Yelp
When going to ARMC, you will be treated with respect and kindness as along as your primary care physician sends you there. The ER is a first aid station. They will patch you up, give an incorrect diagnosis, charge you out the @$$ and send you on your way. If all you need is a band aid and a referral to a REAL doctor, you will love it there.

Yelp
I was admitted for gallbladder removal. The staff is grossly unorganized. My nurse calls up to operating room that we are headed up and we're told "sorry I made a mistake. We don't have a bed ready in surgery." Surprisingly, the surgery went well and I was stayed overnight. They told me Dr Terry would come see me in the morning and then probably release me to go home. It's now noontime and Dr still hasn't come to see me and release me. We finally got pissed off enough and had the nursing station call Dr Terry and guess what? He's out of town today. Now a new Dr will have to sign release papers and he is in surgery for a while. Care seems well. Customer service is terrible and I will never come back here again.
