The Best Fall Restaurant and Bar Pop-Ups Around D.C. | Eater DC

"At Slice & Pie’s newly opened Union Market location, the St. Anselm collaboration turns the classic bodega BEC into a bacon, egg, and cheese pizza layered with the restaurant’s signature pimento cheese and heritage bacon, garlic cream, egg yolk, blue cheese ranch, mozzarella, and pecorino, available by the slice ($6.50) and as a whole pie ($37) during lunch from 4 to 11 p.m., with a smaller $22 version at Taste of Lucy’s weekend brunch." - Emily Venezky

I’m in Union Market occasionally and I’d been wanting to try Slice & Pie pizza, so finally got an opportunity recently and I liked it. It was good. I go a mushroom slice with truffle oil drizzle and it was crispy and flavorful. I tend to favor NY style pizza or Chicago style, but wanted to be open to Detroit style pizza. I will say the sights of the various pizza and the aesthetics of pink boxes stacked appealed to me. There’s a some limited seating and a cute Bar next door. Union Market is always busy for the most part, so expect to wait a few mins for your order depending on when you go. I’ll definitely eat Slice & Pie again.

Very good pizza ! Good and fast service but… the only thing I would change would be the heat of my pizza… just a taaaaaad to chill for my taste… they put it in a mini oven to warm it back up I think heat lamps might be a better option still soooooo yummy!

Awesome pizza!!! It’s one of the best I have ever had. All are delicious, but you definitely have to try the truffle and mushrooms.
