37 San Francisco Bay Area Restaurants and Bars That Opened in May | Eater SF

"I noted Tony Gemignani’s franchise continuing his opening spree with a new Slice House at 2565 California Street, Suite 501, where the familiar pizza focus will be available daily from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; franchise owner Pritika Rajasanshi even went to high school with Gemignani." - Paolo Bicchieri

Whenever I move to a new place, one of the first things I do is try the local spots around me. This pizza place right next to my home really surprised me. The pizza is excellent, great flavor, high quality ingredients, and honestly very close to real New York style pizza. The crust has the right texture, the sauce is balanced, and everything tastes fresh. You can tell they care about what they’re serving. Definitely a solid go to spot if you’re craving good pizza without having to go far.

Google
Good place to stop for a slice of pizza. They have both New York and Sicilian. I only tried the new york style and it was pretty tasty. The sausages and pepperonis on it were good quality, the crust might be improved a bit. The price here was a bit higher than some other pizza by slice in the area. Atmosphere seemed good for groups and family lunches

Deep dish foccia bread with scant amount of ingredients topped with cold thick tomatoes sauce. They didn't even warm up the pizza. Caesar salad w consisted of a small plastic ramemim of thick dressing that blue cheesey. This place is the worse considering all the other surrounding, wonderful pizzerias. Big nope for sliced pizzas sitting in a warmer display.

Really interesting, amazingly tasty pizzas of many styles. Deep-pan Detroit to super thin New York style, Slice House has something for just about everyone. I really enjoyed the Grandma's Style Cheese & Crumbled Sausage. One of the nicest things is they allow a lot of customization options - for instance, you can get the slightly sweeter Grandma's sauce on a New York style thin crust. There is ample parking for dine-in at the nearby parking structure as well as 15-minute parking in front for quick pick ups.

Google
The quality of the pizza is not like the Tony's in SF. MY Slice was dry and lacked flavor. My other two 12" pizzas I ordered lacked sauce. Cashier was not very helpful on options or when asked about certain items was not sure or aware, place is small our seating was very tight close to the wall closest to the bathroom. Also parking is not in front unless you are only staying for 15min, you will need to go to parking garage.

It’s pizza, how can you go wrong. It’s also some of the most delicious pizza I have eaten. The crusts are so good on all three pizzas we ordered. Wings are good but nothing to rave over. Cookies also decent, but again not a game changer. Definitely go for the pizza and will be going back soon. Service was also incredibly kind. After walking away with the pizzas, I realized we didn’t get our cookies. Went back after finishing the pizza (like 20 min later) and front attendant gladly assisted. Always great to encounter super friendly, helpful, and apologetic workers — makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

Came here one afternoon after some errands for a quick bite and did not disappoint! We've been to Tony's a handful of times in San Francisco and knew the quality so we had high expectations!! We ordered 2 American style slices which were so good!! The dough was super crispy and the flavoured oils put on top were perfect! We also ordered a Detroit style pizza which was not very good in our opinion. Was quite dry and very crunchy. The sauce on top was way too thick and I wish it was spread thinner. We'll be back here for their American style pizza!!

Google
It’s quite a decent Pizza place! Good amount of vegetarian options for Pizza. They also have slices which makes it easy to eat different varieties vs ordering in once big pie ! They have chocolate chip cookie which is eggless and 100% vegetarian which is a rarity in dessert/baked items !! Burrata Queen pizza is quite good. It has a hint of sweetness because of the honey. But the cheese and pesto add a good balance to the Pizza

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! With good sizes and flavors, this is new favorite spot to get slices of pizza! Apparently the chef who started this restaurant, Tony G., is a 12 time award winning chef or something like that. I know I'm not recalling the details correctly, but the point is he knows what he's doing, lol. The staff is really friendly and kind. I have struck up conversations with a few different staff members on my visits here. They have even helped me right at close, when I rudely and unintentionally came a minute or two before they closed. Dulce in particular is very welcoming, kind, funny, and a hard worker. Hats off to her! The ambiance is pretty basic, but no worries at all as the great pizza and service more than make up for it. Go check them out some time! - Kyle :)

Yelp
I ordered a NY slice of cheese and the hubs ordered one with hot honey. He loved his whereas my slice didn't feel like I was biting into a slice of New York. With that said, it was still decent. I do plan on trying a Detroit styled slice next time as I hear that is what they're known for. The restaurant is located in a new residential area which is quite pleasant to walk around as it it's not super busy (yet).

Yelp
I live about a 3min walking distance from Slice house (MV) so I frequent this place every so often. They have a large selection to choose from. Today I tried the motorhead (detroit style) and "big papas" which apparently is not always served and only served on select days of the week I believe. Motorhead pizza 4.5/5 - classic tomato sauce with a ton of meat and cheese (think pepperoni, bacon, italian sausage, ricotta, salami, mozzarella). Well-made and I loved the crunchy cheesey crust. I also love that they re-heat your pizza without even asking. Big papa 4./5 - Heavier, more unique toppings (cheese, seasoned beef, purple potato, calabrese aioli, ranch). this was more unconventional with different types of cheeses. Also very well-made. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Worth trying at least once! The staff are always so nice and attentive. They always go above and beyond in terms of giving you their own recommendations .

Yelp
My buddy knows I like pizza especially Detroit style so I had to try this place out. I was in the area and didn't know how the parking would be around noon time so I ordered from the website which was pretty simple. I ordered the Detroit style Wiseguy and the XL 20" Apricot Fields to go. Estimated time was a 20 minutes. When we arrived, there was a parking garage and street parking. We got lucky and were able to fond street parking right next to the pizza joint. We got there a little earlier so our pizza was not ready yet. My wife was hungry and she decided to get the BBQ Chicken slice while we wait. The crust was soft but the chicken was more on the sweet side. I don't like my pizza sweet so I was not a fan of this one. I ordered the Apricot Fields since it sounded interesting. It had an interesting taste. A little on the sweet side. I gave a slice to my parents and they thought the same thing. It wasn't bad but I don't think I would order this again. I had 2 slices leftover the next morning and heated it up. Honestly, it tasted better the next day after in the fridge where it wasn't as sweet as the first day. I checked Yelp and everyone was raving about the Wiseguy so I decided to get this in Detroit style. This had a lot of flavor. It's your traditional type of pizza toppings and did not disappoint. My kids and parents enjoyed this pizza a lot. The square slices are big so you can actually share one slice if you are not a big eater. For me, I didn't mind the big slice. The dough was good also. They do not give the Tony's Hot Oil for free so decided to buy the 8oz bottle to see what the rave is about. The initial taste was bland but after a few seconds, the flavor did come out with the heat. Still don't understand the rave about this chili oil when there really isn't anything special about it. They have another location that just opened up in Milpitas so if Mountain View is too far, you can hit up the other location. If you like detroit pizza or just pizza in general, definitely try this place out. They have a good variety of options and you can also get them by the slice as well depending on what is available during that time and day.

Yelp
My favorite pizza was the Apricot Fields, definitely recommend. It was packed with flavor in every bite. The crust is on the thinner side since the pizzas are more flat, but still really delicious. I was a little disappointed with the hot honey pizza though. It might have been because my pizzas were delivered stacked in a to-go box, and the one with honey was on the bottom. When I tried it, I could not taste the honey at all so it ended up tasting like a regular pepperoni pizza. Even with that, it is definitely still worth trying. I would go again, especially earlier in the day since a few options were already sold out later in the evening. Staff was friendly, which is always a plus.

Yelp
I've driven by this place so many times, but tonight I had to check it out. There's a nice vibe Keith indoor & outdoor seating. Came on a Saturday and it was super busy. Was greeted immediately upon entering and staff here is dope and friendly. Never been here before so asked for recommendations and was told try a pepperoni deep dish and I believe it was Detroit slice as well and they both were delicious. The sauce had the right amount and it wasn't too much crust/bread. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Underrated pizza spot for sure. Check it out when you're in Mountain View area off of San Antonio Rd.

Yelp
We got two medium pizzas: the bacon chicken ranch and the combo Americana Detroit style. Both were pretty good but the winner was the Detroit style. I've never had this style of pizza before but it seemed like a focaccia with the cheese, toppings and reverse tomato sauce. It's a fork and knife situation. The pizza was 4 slices but each one is huge and can feed 3-4 people. Overall it was very tasty pizza. We ordered takeout online for dinner.

Yelp
Satisfying slice with a delicious crust, which is slightly crispy but has a soft interior. It's a simple veggie slice but so tasty. I especially love the red onion and olives. Hope they offer more vegetarian-friendly slices at the front but they do have a vegan menu for whole pies. Short 10 minute wait for them to heat the slices up.

Yelp
Despite originating from an award-winning chef, this pizza place is actually quite affordable! Coming at ~$8 per slice, our $25 dollar order fed my family of three--with leftovers for a one person dinner the next day! When you come inside, you can either order a whole pie or order by the slice. If you want to order by the slice, you are limited to the flavor selection in the display. Typically, the display is large pizzas and a slice truly is one slice. If there's a small-sized pizza in the display, one slice is equivalent to half the small pizza as seen in my picture !! I thought the traditional was just okay. Nothing special about the sauce or toppings. The Detroit dough is pretty good but felt a little too air fried. The grandma sweet gino was fantastic. I'm not the biggest fan of thin crust, but this makes me reevaluate my opinion on thin crust. It's crispy and the perfect texture to make you really enjoy the flavors and opening. I liked the sweetness of it and how juicy it is. There's a lot of sauce but it still doesn't get soggy, making every bite super yummers. The ricotta is good too. Besides being a fantastic deal of $7 for like 3 slices, the NY style Genoa was great! I will admit that the dough is a little chewy and dry, but it is a sauceless pizza. The juicy cherry tomatoes and olives do great at making up for the lack of sauce. The pesto swirls make for interesting bites. It's like the flavor of the pizza changes depending on what you bite off, making it a fun experience. This shop is at a very nice area situated by some townhouses, a hotel, and some offices. There's a lot of seating by the shop. There's seating indoors, seating right outside the shop, and seating across the street by the office buildings. Despite being a fairly new area, it's very lively with families walking around. There's a park and dog park that's a short walk away as well as a few shops nearby. Even though it was dark after we finished eating, we still felt safe walking around the neighborhood which is definitely a big plus! Would come back!! So excited for the Milpitas location which is way closer to my house than this location.

Yelp
Located in San Antonio Shopping Center, parking is plentiful and easy to find. The area is really nice as well. There's a lot of seating indoors and a few tables outside. They have both new york and Detroit style pizza. Combo Americano (4/5): so yummy. Flavor was absolutely amazing. The herbs really brought it all together and I liked how crispy they were too. Good selection and toppings. The tomatoes were so juicy. Tap to pay is accepted. Overall, Slice House has some bomb pizza. Slices are good and worth it for the price. Service was quite speedy too.

Yelp
Looks better than it tastes. The hot honey pizza was so oily and didn't taste sweet (where did the honey go?) Also, the pizza dish on the stand just suddenly collapsed onto the table, so I don't think it was very sturdy.

Yelp
Slice House has become one of my favorite pizza spots and I love trying different Slice Houses because they have different toppings at each! I ordered the Wiseguy which had mozzarella, slice sauce, pepperoni, sweet and spicy sausage, Italian sausage, ricotta, green onion, and hot oil, as well as the Apricot Fields which had Cup n Char, Italian sausage, applewood smoked bacon, mozzarella, ricotta, hot honey, apricot preserve, red onion, hot pepper sauce, pesto, Romano, oregano, and garlic oil. Both slices were amazing! I loved the uniqueness of the Apricot Fields one with the sweet twist. I will say the slices are huge so I may recommend if you're going with someone to get a slice each and share so you can try more options. The prices are very fair for what you're getting as well.

Yelp
Came here after exploring the area because the pizza smelled so good from the outside. We ordered a Webbs double sausage NY style pizza 20 inches, two slices of the sweet Gino grandma style, 3 cannolis, and a Caesar salad. Let me start off by saying one slice is already sooo filling. The pizza is great - I love the crust on the pizza and the toppings for this one was great. It wasn't too meat heavy but also had enough toppings to satisfy me. I haven't had a lot of New York style pizza but I really liked the one here and wonder how it compares to ones in NYC. Salad was good, pretty standard. I loved the croutons on top because it was thin slices of croutons instead of your standard square bits. The sauce was hard to fully get out of the container but was also very delish. Cannolis were good, standard cannoli can't go wrong. Overall, I would go here again. The service was quick, it's has an indoor and outdoor area which is perfect for bringing my dog. There are such a variety of pizza styles and toppings I def want to try more!

Yelp
I came here for a quick lunch and was greeted by very friendly staff. I enjoyed their pepperoni. It's a popular lunch spot amongst employees in the area.

Yelp
I'm not a pizza person but I love their pizza especially the Rosa. Tried the Rosa, Apricot Fields and Sweet Gino. I like that they have different types of tomato sauce for their pizzas so you're not just having different toppings but the tomato sauce had different flavors too. The Rosa had a yummy thick crust. More savory sour sauce. It had pepperoni and fresh basil. The Sweet Gino looked similar but noticeably different flavor. The sauce was on the sweeter side. Crust was half the thickness of the pan pizza. The Apricot Fields was good, too. It had apricots that caramelized, sausage, bacon, and drizzled with honey. And their desserts did not disappoint. One of the best cannolis I've had. The filling was not gritty nor too sweet. I got the pistachio cannoli. I finished it on the drive home. The chocolate chip cookie was also so good. It was thin but soft, almost tasted like it had brown sugar. Slices were priced from $7 and up so it's pricey for a pizza slice but good quality and even better taste. Staff were nice. Small dining area. Nice location.

Yelp
5-stars all the way! I am a huge fan of Tony's Pizza Napoletena and Slice House! I am so glad we have one near home. I'm so happy they have many individual slice options to choose from. Each pizza ranges from $6-$8 a slice with whole pizzas costing around $30. The service here is fast, straight to the point, and they are friendly. Great experience overall here. I am a huge fan of their Hot Honey and Little Italy pizza. The hot honey has premium slices of pepperoni and house made hot honey! The slice is huge with so many layers of flavor. I love pairing this with ranch. The Little Italy has an amazing white cheddar flavor with oregano and sweet sauce. The pizza is basically on this Detroit-style focaccia bread. This is one of my favorites for sure. I wish they didn't charge for ranch though; it would be nice to have at least 1 complimentary sauce of choice. For dessert, I highly recommend trying their pistachio cannoli! This is so creamy and flavorful. I want this again! I can't wait to come back here and order a whole pizza. Maybe even for myself!!

Yelp
I rate food based on expectations, and this place couldn't be better. It's EXACTLY what you want out of a pizza joint. Excellent dough, great sauce, fresh toppings, cooked to perfection with the perfect crunch and chew. Inside is nice, only a few tables, but seating outside too. Really cheap, friendly service paired with great food.. exactly what pizza should be.
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
The pizza was soooooo good!! You can get big slices which are $6-8 depending on which flavor. There are thin NY style, super thick and cheesy Detroit style, and grandma style which is like a crispy medium thick pizza. While I didn't try the grandma style, the Detroit wasn't my fav and the NY was the BEST!!! The apricot fields was my fav but the wise guy was also delicious! The crust is amazing and super nice staff!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE the Slice House. I first had the Slice House in Walnut Creek, and it is the closest I've come to a NY style pizza in the bay. Hot take: Their slices taste better than whole pizzas. Reason being the whole pizza feels too fresh; the cheese is too soft and toppings fall off the pizza etc. On the other hand, slices are twice baked, making the pizza slice absolutely perfect. It just gives it the perfect crisp. In fact, I've found that their whole pizzas taste best after they cool down and are reheated in an air fryer. My favorite slice is the Motörhead and Wise Guy and Sweet Gino tie for second place!! In terms of style I like the NY pizza best and Detroit style second. If you go to the Slice House I would recommend trying their unconventional pizzas at least once. In my opinion, the pepperoni and cheese pizzas just taste slightly above average but the ones I listed above are phenomenal and I don't know where else to get them too. For example, today I tried Walker's White Pie and also had the Pepperoni, and Walker's White Pie took the cake. Pro tip: They stop cutting up whole pizzas for slices later in the evening, so if you're looking for something other than pepperoni or cheese, try to get there by around 8 PM. By 9 PM, there's usually only one of the specialty slices left, if any, so come earlier if you can. One small thing to improve on: They charge $2 for just a few ounces of chili oil, which felt a bit stingy / ungenerous. Might be something to reconsider. I've not had any issues with service. Parking is easy. There's WiFi, and usually open seats. Ambiance is relaxing. The space is also very peaceful and sweet in the evenings too. There's also an app you can download to earn points. I highly highly recommend this place. I think it's worth driving to if you live further and can't wait for more people to discover this brand.

Yelp
In the mood for Ny style pizza and heard of this place in MV. Ordered the basic cheese. The sauce and cheese were great, and overall tasty. My suggestion is making the crust less "doughy" as this was a tad off from typical NY style pizza. Service quick, ambiance basic. Easy to order ahead, and can buy single slices at the store front. Overall great pizza spot!

Yelp
I think I have found my new favorite pizza place! :D I first heard about spot from a TikTok video that showed up on my fyp. This girl was raving about the Apricot Fields pizza, and I'm a fan of savory and sweet pizza so of course I immediately bookmarked this place on my Yelp app. I stopped by here on Monday about 11:30am, and I was greeted my the staff. I got a slice of the Apricot Fields and Traditional Sicilian. I waited for a few minutes before I got my pizza slices. OMFG... They were sooo freaking yummy! Hot, flavorful, crunchy, soft, and the perfection! I ate them in the car while driving to work. The place is warm and welcoming. There are seating inside and some outside as well. There were some cute artwork on the walls. I think there were some TVs there too if I remember correctly. I can't wait to have more pizza again from this place! This will be my new go-to spot for pizza now! :)

Carlos C.

Yelp
We've been to Slice House in Mountain View three times since it opened, and while the service is quick and the pizza box art on the walls is cute, we won't be back. This time, we ordered the Tony Jack and the Traditional. Though the taste was decent, the slices have become much smaller and weren't hot enough. They also took away the hot oil from the condiment bar! That was my favorite part. They have a Slice of the Day, but it doesn't come with a discount; it just guarantees availability. On the bright side, they do offer a military discount, which we appreciated. However, compared to the fantastic experience at Tony Gemignani's other locations, Slice House just fell short.

Yelp
I don't feel strongly about a lot of pizza places but I actually really liked this place! I do have to say they are a bit pricey which is why I'm giving 4 stars but I actually think the food is very good. First off, the medium 12 inch pizza says it's good for 2 people, but I think one person could eat 4-5/6 slices if they're even moderately hungry, and I think a grown man can definitely finish this pizza alone. At 22 dollars a pizza that makes prices a little steep for a pizza meal. LOVED big papa ( we got this without meat ), would compare this to Pizza Antica's Heirloom Potato and Truffle pizza but better honestly esp if you like spice. Also loved the Buratta queen pizza. Didn't care for the Sweet Gino.. a bit too sweet for me and too much tomato. But others liked it ! Would def come back here just for the potato pizzas. Pizzas overall tasted really fresh and to go ordering was easy.

Yelp
2/5. My most disappointing slice of the year. Barely any toppings, I would not recommend coming here.

Yelp
I know that I am opening myself out there to a world of nasty messages but I have lived in the Bay Area and have never heard about Tony Gemignani until about two years ago. An advertisement popped up when I was watching a Youtube video for a MasterClass featuring Tony. The advertisement garnered my interest so I immediately googled this "Tony" to read more about him. When I learned that he is a Bay Area native with his flagship restaurant in San Francisco, I nearly spit out my water. I couldn't believe I had never heard of him especially since I am a huge foodie and pizza lover. I immediately made a note that I needed to try his restaurant. Literally a couple months later, I get a social media notification that a slice house would be opening in San Antonio shopping center (I live in Mountain View). I immediately made a note to try this place, which was slated to open in a few months. The opening was delayed and I felt bad because I made a snarky comment one day on their Facebook page about how it was supposed to be open already and the manager quickly checked me stating that the reason for the delay was due to permits etc. (god bless Santa Clara County). During this delay, many of my clients expressed to me how Tony was a legend and that I definitely needed to eat at this place. Once it finally opened, I gave it a try. I've mentioned this viewpoint before but a pizzeria is already batting a dozen when they offer multiple styles and types of pizza and offer said pizza by the slice. I was NOT a fan of either Detroit or grandma style before I came here but immediately feel in love with those when I had theirs. The pizzas are all DELICIOUS and I love the fact they they have a rotating menu when it comes to their slices. Their chili oil is also a delicious addition. Again, I cannot believe that it's been less than two years that I've heard of Tony Gemignani but if slice house is his chain venture, then I cannot wait to try his flagship restaurant in the city. Absolutely phenomenal!

Yelp
FOOD: 3 SERVICE: 3 AMBIANCE: 3 VALUE: 3 We have been here twice and we had diametrically different experiences. First the address is misleading, they are located by the Hyatt Centric hotel on Disk Drive. If you can, order ahead online, it will save you a ton of wait time. This will also help you interpret their rather whimsical menu. We have been here twice, the first time, everything went well, the pizza wait was about 15-20 minutes and the taste was on par with very good pizza. The second time was a complete disaster! They either gave our pizza away or they forgot entirely. The pizza took over 40 minutes and it was not even up to their usual standard. We may give them another chance, but I am not sure as there are other good/great pizza places around.

Yelp
I think it's pretty safe to say that Slice House has become my personal favorite pizza place in the general Bay Area! I came with a group of 8 friends and we ordered a massive amount of pizza. All of it was amazing and we all left super full. A couple friends ordered slices while the rest of us ordered a bunch of pizzas to share. Here's the full list, in my personal ranking order: - 12in Hawaiian - 20in Motorhead - 12in Cal Italia - Detroit Style Big Papa - 12in Hot Honey From the above list, the standout favorite for everyone was the Hawaiian. As a Hawaiian pizza enthusiast, this is the only pizza place I've been to that does it justice, with thinly sliced rings of pineapple that crisp up in the over and get super sugary, rather than the chunks of pineapple you get pretty much anywhere else. The Motorhead and Cal Italia were also good - we picked those as a "safe pizza" and a "adventurous pizza" respectively! The toppings were generous for both, although I felt that the Cal Italia was a little too salty. The Hot Honey was probably the least favorite of everyone - we felt actually felt that there was too little honey so it just ended up feeling like a standard pepperoni pizza. Service was great - the restaurant quickly got busy but the employee's offered to push two large tables together since we were a fairly large party - we declined and just sat in groups of 4 since it was already pretty tight space wise, but a nice gesture nonetheless. Do note that there is some outdoor seating, but just small tables of 2. For our visit, they actually accidentally made a 12in Motorhead instead of the 20in that we ordered, and they offered us the extra one anyways which was super generous and very appreciated! We ended up taking home some leftovers because of it, but everything reheated extremely well. Overall, I will definitely be coming back to this spot to try out some of their other pizzas. And if you're a Hawaiian pizza enthusiast - definitely check this place out!

Yelp
Finally made it here. Located in a mix between apartments and offices. Small location but there is seating inside and outside. We ordered the big Poppa, purple potato, motorhead Detroit, and grandma. The best one was the motorhead, it even had the crispy crunchy cheese on the ends. This sauce is definitely like moms. Savory, delicious, and fresh. I could literally drink the sauce. But don't forget about Grandma. Sweet and also savory. The purple potato and big Poppa were ok. I felt like they were the same pizza except one had pesto drizzle and the other was calabrese aioli. Kind of disappointed with those but I ended up eating them anyways. They were still good on their own. This is definitely NY style pizza with that nice chewy dough. Another thing that transports me back to Supremos in NY. Can't wait to order a sicilian Motorhead. Gastro Maestro approved!!!

Yelp
In town for a few days and decided to try this pizza as we don't have this chain near us. Wow! The slices were perfect NY style craft pizza and the flavors were on point. The Hawaiian was cooked perfectly with large slices of pineapple beautifully placed on each slice. The pepperoni was classic pepperoni and was absolutely delicious! A highly recommend for great simple pizza as pizza should be!

Yelp
I have come to Tony's Slice House a few times now. The first time, my friends and I each ordered the slices we wanted to eat there. The other times, I've called or ordered online for whole pizzas. Food: The pizza here is solid. They have a lot of options if you are only doing slices. Everyone should find something they like. They have the new york thin crust and different square slice pizzas here. I've had the cheese pizza and sweet gino. Both are great. Service: Service here is pretty good. They always have a ton of people working so the wait isn't too bad. I would always recommend ordering ahead if you're doing whole pizzas though. That will take some time. TL;DR - Highly recommended pizza by the slice place

Yelp
Slice house on a friday night kind of disappointing as there wasnt many variety of sliced to choose from. They also didnt have a slice of the day. Tried the apricot pizza and it was interesting. Enjoyed the sausage and ricotta on it. Apricot was more on the tangier side than sweet. Will stick to going during the day.

Yelp
The good: I tried this place on two different occasions. My aunt has been raving about it and told me it was worth the 40 minute drive to pick-up pizza. I tried five different pizzas and 2 of their cannolis (one with sprinkles and one with pistachios). The cannolis were the best I've ever had (and I've had cannolis from Boston, NYC and Venice)! The cream was soft but not too wet and the cookie crumbled nicely without breaking up into crumbs (if that makes sense). I liked how they had different pizza styles to choose from. I enjoyed the spicy meat one I had and I liked the variety of different topping options there were. I had a purple potato one that was visually interesting and sweet. The bad: I ordered curbside pickup but didn't see any parking specific for curbside pickup. There was a 15 minute parking spot that was occupied when I came. I wanted my order at 11:45 and scheduled it for then but the order wasn't ready until around 12 so I had to wait inside. Some of thin pizza crusts are kind of harder/chewier. I found out afterward that there are 2 Slice House locations closer to me than the one I went to. The interesting: The interior is casual. They had decorated pizza boxes inside. The place definitely smelled like parmesan inside which smells nice when you know it's parmesan but then kind of smells gross at the same time. They have a lot of locations!

Yelp
Tony's delivers a great product again! Amazing pizza, of course the atmosphere is not as nice as any of his North Beach locations, but the pizzas are amazing! We each had a different slice, (1) New York Style, (1) Detroit Style and they were terrific. A definite recommend. Wish they had more locations outside of sports venues!

Yelp
Yum! I had the popeye slice and the apricot slice for lunch. They were both so delicious! The apricot pizza was the perfect balance of slightly sweet and salty. The apricot flavor was not overwhelming and it really tied in well with the rest of the ingredients. I'm craving another slice now...

Yelp
ANOTHER PIZZERIA OF TONY I've eaten multiple times at Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco. At that pizzeria the pizza I really enjoyed was the margherita as only 73 are cooked daily. What's unique about Tony's Pizza Napoletana was there were different types of pizzas cooked in different temperatures, but I never tried other pizzas at Tony's Pizza Napoletana. About a month ago I came here with family on a Saturday evening. There are different types of pizza displayed on the counter. I decided to get the Conforto's Grand Slam, which is served as a traditional slice of pizza, and Traditional, which is a Detroit-style crust. Even though both had pepperoni I prefer the pepperoni on the Traditional. For me pizza isn't all about the toppings as the crust is the most important. The Conforto's Grand Slam and Traditional are two different styles of pizza. Even though they were tasty their crust didn't wow me. Overall Slice House is an ok pizzeria of Tony.

Yelp
Love their Detroit style pizza! We've now tried the Motorhead (favorite) and Paesano. Dough is fluffy, cheesy crust is delicious, and there's always a generous amount of sauce.

Yelp
I'm glad I gave Slice House a try, but I wouldn't recommend it or come back. The pizza tasted good, but it was way too greasy and oily. I'm a big fan of thin crust pizza so I've tried many kinds from different places, and I really didn't think the pizza here was special. The thick crust one was a really small portion and too tough. This place isn't a bad option, but it's definitely not the best. Also, don't get the cookie! It was so hard, flavorless, and it felt like I was eating cardboard. I was disappointed because I was excited to end on a good note.

Yelp
Decided to get some pizza here and swing by with about 40-30 mins left till they close. If you're feeling a late night food, look elsewhere because they apparently stop making food way prior and all they had left at this point was ONE slice of cheese pizza. Giving an extra start because I've had their pizza before and it does taste decent. However the fact they don't have food even if there's still enough time before closing, that's a no no for me. Terrible business philosophy. If you are not making more food at a certain point, change your hours.

Yelp
A friend and I stopped in before a movie and I just thought we were grabbing something quick at a place called "Slice Pizza." I didn't realize it was Tony Gemignani's spot until my friend noticed the name on the soda cup and asked who that was. Once I connected the dots to Tony's Pizza Napoletana in SF, I got way more excited. The pizza was great, no surprise there. I do wish they made it easier to know what single slices are available each day, like on IG or their website, but honestly, that might just tempt me to go more often since this location is way closer than SF. The ranch was just okay. That's very important in my book when reviewing a pizza place. The cookie felt a little small for the price and was just alright. Still, the pizza made up for it. I'd definitely stop by again if I'm in the area. Parking was easy and in abundance too being connected to a parking garage. It was free too! :)

Yelp
Really yum! Love the options of pizza style available at the by-the-slice section up front. My dad and I decided to get our own 10" pizzas and that was good for us each to have leftovers. Crust was cooked to perfection and the season beef was good, more toppings please!!

Yelp
A quick, easy, yet so hot and tasty pizza joint in a bustling plaza in Mountain View! We came by on a Friday afternoon around 3pm since we were craving boba nearby and spotted this place for an additional mid day snack. The slices are HUGE for $7-$9 each and they heat it up for you until it's hot and toasty. We got the Apricot Fields and the Wise Guy - both were so tasty and the star of both was the dough. So chewy and flavorful on its own that half way through I commented that my jaw was tired of chewing lol. High quality ingredients on the pizzas as well and the service was friendly and quick - no wait during the mid afternoon. We'll be back when we're in the area for a quick slice of quality pizza!

Yelp
First of all, this is now my go to if I want NYC-style "Ray's Pizza" - if you know, you know. I've had, and reordered again and again their pepperoni, plain, and white slices, which were all excellent. And unlike Ray's this place has a wonderfully healthy arugula bacon salad which is big enough for 3 people. Ok now for the potential upgrades: Doesn't matter if I order online, on the phone, or in person. Just tack on an extra 10 -15 minutes of additional waiting I'm sure the operations in a great restaurant like this aren't easy, but every-single-time there are delays picking up my food. ... But I keep coming back. so come prepared to order and then catch up on some email! Food: 5 Ambience: 4 (I mean it is a pizzeria) Service: 3

Yelp
I've always been a big fan of Tony's up in SF, so when I passed by Slice House on the way to Mendocino Farms, I couldn't help but stop in for a slice. There are some familiar looking pizzas as Tony's in SF (but I could be mistaken). There's plenty of parking nearby, and this place is clean and has warmer / cozy colours. It wasn't too busy when I stopped in, so I got great attentive service.

Yelp
The hype is real! We even failed to take photos because the pizzas keeps disappearing after we get them. Each slice is huge and so good! Staff are very nice and more than happy to explain each flavor. Place is small but hip and nicely decorated. So many flavors to try. We will definitely be coming by to try them all!

Yelp
Glad that Slice House is expanding and opening up more locations. You can get everything at Slice House, a slice, whole pie, pasta and more! For 3 people, we got 7 slices and everyone liked their slices. With exception to one slice had too many olives and looked like a slice of olive pizza. I liked my wise guy and Giants slice but one slice was overly oily from the pepp but understandable but seemed like just eating all oil. Probably skip the Giants slice next time. Service was nice from staff. They did ring up an extra slice by mistake but we just took it and didn't want to bother taking it off. Clean and bright interior. Indoor and outdoor seating available Parking nearby in garage or in front of store

Yelp
Exciting news for pizza lovers! Slice House has just opened its newest location in Mountain View, and I tried some truly unique pies that are a must taste for any pizza lover. Purple Potato Pizza: A beautiful blend of mozzarella, thinly sliced purple potatoes, crispy applewood smoked bacon, a touch of rosemary, feta, and a pesto swirl. This pizza is a delightful mix of flavors and textures that's as tasty as it is colorful, even without tomato sauce. Apricot Fields Pizza (location special and my favorite): A perfect harmony of sweet, savory, and a little spice. It starts with a base of Blenheim apricot jam, layered with bacon, sausage, a mix of mozzarella, ricotta, and Romano cheeses, then finished with red onion, and a sprinkle of oregano and garlic oil. This pizza is a bold flavor adventure! Grandma Pizza: Authentic Thin Crust Square Pan pizza with layers of mozzarella and stripes of sauce, Long Island Grandma style, sprinkled with Romano, oregano, and garlic olive oil. It's like a slice of nostalgia served fresh and hot! Sicilian Pizza: Thick, light focaccia-style crust, topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella. This is a robust and satisfying choice for those who love their crust with a bit of crunch. Detroit pizza: hearty thick square pizza, I loved the pepperoni and crispy edges of the pizza. The service is so quick at the counter and you can pair your pizzas with pasta, wings and craft beers, to make it an amazing Italian meal.

Yelp
Slice House is one of my fav pizza spots. They have a mix of Detroit, NY, Sicilian & Grandma style pizzas. Apricot Fields is exclusive to this location only and is as good as it sounds. The pizzas hold their shape and packs so much flavor from the sauce to the cheese & the meats. They're super fast and get things to you quickly. Slices are also huge so it's definitely filling. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. There's a mix of street parking as well as a nearby garage just in case. Will definitely be coming here every time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Food: Pizza place with a relatively wide selection of options as well as multiple different styles of pizzas available. If you opt for the pizza by the slice, available options vary by day and slices are pretty big. Overall taste was pretty good, although I personally would have preferred a higher density of topping on a couple of the slices we tried. Place: Relatively small storefront, self-seating, but they have tables both inside and outside in the front, so getting a table should be pretty easy. We only ordered slices during our visit so I can't speak on how long a fullsize pizza would take, but our food came out pretty quick. Price: Slices were about $7 each but given the size, seemed reasonable/expected. Overall a decent pizza spot and definitely worth visiting purely because of the amount of pizza styles available.
