Slice of Homage is such a gem! The pizza here is absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a crust that’s just the right mix of crispy and chewy. You can really taste the care that goes into every slice. The menu has something for everyone, whether you’re craving a classic or something a little more unique. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel right at home. It’s the kind of spot where you can relax, enjoy great food, and know you’ll leave satisfied. If you love pizza, Slice of Homage is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

Google
Now some may argue that this review is inaccurate. However, please believe I base all my reviews on all past experiences with food and I’ve had a lot of good pizza. I heard so many raving reviews I may have had higher expectations, however this pizza was good, just not great in my opinion. It’s a small cozy spot and the slices are heated upon order. The Detroit everything and the classic were the options selected. Personally the classic was my favorite it was cute little pepperoni and a thin crust. The basil and other toppings came together well. I would surely order this again on a day that isn’t so crowded. Because the wait was rather long. As for the everything Detroit it just tasted like too much bread . There are a few other slices that looked amazing and it’s possible my selection was not the most popular. The guy who took my order was very kind, there was an event happening so the line moved rather slow. I would come back to give it another try for sure. Especially for the thin slice .

Google
I got the New York Style Bee slice with chilies and hot honey. It was a deliciously balanced spicy and savory slice. I also got the Detroit Deep Dish with ricotta and freshly grated Parmesan. A fantastic pizza as well!

Google
All Meat Calzone, is quite loaded with meat and cheese, dip in tomato and/or ranch on the side. The dough is soft and chewy. This is really gonna fill you up, if you're eating this solo. The hot calzone made the cardboard pizza box underside a bit mushy. A surprise laid inside the pizza box with the pizza bib under the box lid. Great marketing. You can find free 90min parking adjacent to San Pedro square, in the SJPark lot off Market.

Google
Hands down the best NY pizza in South Bay. The crust is light, crunchy and flaky. The sauce is bright. They top up the slices with some basil, garlic and parm which I appreciate. I do however wish they had a veggie option in their slice offerings. It could also be that my timing was bad and they ran out.

Google
Didn't particularly love the detroit style pizza. They offer you new york and detroit style. A little bit too much crust for me. But that's how detroit pizza is made. Service is great just not my favorite.

Google
I ordered the Spicy D with olive oil, freshly grated cheese, and hot honey drizzle. The pizza came loaded with pepperoni, veggies, cheese, topped with pizza sauce and red peppers. The crust was crunchy on the outside and airy on the inside. The dough had a savory flavor to it. The pizza sauce on top helped cut out the saltiness from all the topping, and the sweetness of the tomatoes helped balance all the flavor. Love the hint of herbs that were used. The toppings all worked really well together, I added the hot honey for extra, it gave the pizza an extra layer of flavor sweet heat. This time around I got the Detroit style, I will definitely be back to try the other styles of pizzas (New York and Sicilian.)

Google
Had this on my list for a while and went today. From what I've had locally this place is easily in my top 3. The price is pretty high but for what you get its not too outrageous. Their Sicilian style is fantastic, great crust, flavors, and overall I'd definitely visit again. They also have slices so try that first maybe before committing to a whole pie.

Yelp
How have I never written a review for them before?! I, absolutely, LOVE SOH. Yes, their pies may be a bit pricey, but they are SO worth it. I've eaten many Detroit styles from them and will continue to do so due to their stellar quality. I recently heard that they are in the process of moving into their very own brick and mortar and I'm stoked!!!! Can't wait to eat there. I may even try one of their other crust types. Ha! Who am I kidding? I love their Detroit styles WAY too much to cheat on them. Toppings are primo! Fresh and delish. Can't sing their praises enough. I hope they continue to thrive for YEEEEEARS to come. Well deserved praises for their pies that are sure to have you coming back for more. If you haven't already tried them, you NEED to. If pizza isn't your thing, that's okay....but I don't know if we can be friends. XD

Yelp
Great pizza, sporadic prep times ranging up to 2 hours! Also the shrinkflation is real even for their priciest options ($50 a pie). If you value a delicious pie at any price this place will suit you fine.

Yelp
Had this back in 2022 - we had ordered a Detroit vs Everybody and a NY style Margherita. We weren't impressed. Assumed it was due to bringing it back home as opposed to eating it fresh. Fast forward to July 2025. We gave it another shot and tried different pizzas. Definitely big fans of the NY style. Crust was crispy and the toppings, sauce were flavorful. Detroit style was good, but when they reheated the slices, a lot of the pepperoni on the edge got burnt until it was hard and inedible. Overall, it was a much improved experience. But not sure if we will return anytime soon.

Yelp
FINALLY trying the infamous Slice of Homage in SJ! I've attempted to go here 3 times post-drinks from our bar crawl and they were always closed. Well duh! My friends and I ordered "Detroit vs everybody" and "the spicy d" pizza. Pizza was pretty tasty! Generous toppings and crispy cheesy edges is the best part! Best Detroit pizza in the South Bay! I would say I still like Square Pie Guys and Joy Ride in San Francisco but that's quite a drive so SOH will just do! It definitely hits the spot and satisfy my pizza cravings. I highly suggest ordering ahead so you don't have to wait long. My friends and I timed it perfectly from Hilton to SOH. Not much seating inside so it's best to takeout. Kinda a pricy pizza but they definitely load it up on the toppings so I think it's semi worth it. $50 for each pie! It's a hefty slice and very filling, great with some drinks. Service was responsive and quick! I'd come back for sure!

Yelp
ok ngl this is a fire pizza place, totally not overhyped at all. this is located in dtsj so parking is limited and I would recommend street parking. This place is partnered with the social bar next door so you can dine in either place. The service is amazing, s/o for the complimentary hot honey! My friends and I got the Detroit style pizza slices. Super filling and delicious. I love how the pizzas were crispy on the edges and fluffy in the middle. Every bite is super flavorful, it does not miss at all. Overall I will be back again 100%!!!

Yelp
Insane Detroit style pizza, some of the best I've ever had! We got the Detroit vs Everybody and it was crazy good. The best part of a Detroit style pizza is the crust because of the crispiness. This crust had a super crispy bottom like it was fried in olive oil, but it still had a nice chew and wasn't too greasy. The toppings were amazing with the savory spicy meats being balanced by the freshness of the ricotta and basil. The sauce was just the right amount to hold everything together without being too wet. The edge and corner pieces were especially good with the nutty taste of the caramelized cheese. They also offer a spicy honey to drizzle over which adds another level of flavor. We also got The Pizza Guy Sicilian style and it was pretty good too, but not as good as the Detroit style in my opinion. The Detroit vs Everybody and The Pizza Guy have about the same toppings so you could really tell the difference in crust. The Sicilian style was a lot more bready and fluffy like a focaccia, but it was missing the extreme crunch that I love from the Detroit style.

Yelp
Good thick pizza. Decent flavors. Service was friendly. Wished they are located in a place with parking. The place wasn't too crowded when I came to pick up the pizza but there were plenty of people who came in afterwards so there was a lot of hub bub and limited seating. They sell whole pizza but also pizza by the slice.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty Solid Pizza place. I would come back to try more. I only had the pepperoni slice, reheated they add the cheese and basil. Service was fantastic they were super friendly and took our plates when we finished. We just hung out there. The shop had pretty nice art in the walls too.

Yelp
Their pizza is to die for! I got one slice of the Detroit vs Everybody and I will tell you, every single bite, I was in heaven. If you like pizza and you haven't tried this place, I can't recommend it enough! $27 for two slices and a bottle of water. But worth it as the slices are hefty. If The man working the counter was also incredibly helpful. As it was our first time here, he explained everything in great detail. I honestly cannot wait to go try this place again.

Yelp
My friend recommended this place after seeing it on IG. It took us months to finally plan a day we were all free to come and I'm so glad we did! This shop is located in downtown SJ and is a super small pizza shop- so it's good for to go orders or getting just a slice. There are a few tables and chairs, but I wouldn't recommend it for big groups. If you want a place to sit down, they collab with San Pedro Social where you can order their pizza and have a sit down meal! They have three different styles of pizza: New York, Detroit, and Sicilian. They have a menu of pizzas and you can also customize your pizza. I ordered The Pep to go and it was ready within 20 minutes! It was made fresh and the crust of the New York style pizza was thin and had a good bread to toppings ratio. My friends and I also tried the Detroit style pizza and I think that style is my favorite! The crust isn't super doughy and it had a nice crisp to it. I can't wait to go back and order more!

Yelp
I'm normally a NY pizza type gal... and maybe even a margherita slice from Eataly... but let me tell you, my husband hit the home run with our quick lunch at SOH. We grabbed the Detroit vs Everybody and Sicilian Inspired Post St mini slices... yep, hands down the best pizza in the area. The dough was very airy and light, with a perfect amount of crunch. My fav was the Detroit vs Everybody slice with oh so perfect mini morsel crunchy pepperoni. Ugh, if I could eat a whole box, I would!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Well this spot has been on my to do list for a hot minute and yesterday I finally found my way downtown to it. Boy it did not disappoint!!! I'm not normally a fan of deep dish but TRUST ME give it a try. It looks heavy but is light and FRESH the staff were friendly and at 2pm on a Sunday we got lucky with no line. Do yourself a favor & check it out!

Yelp
New favorite pizza spot alert! I'm pretty picky with pizza, not a pizza connoisseur or anything but I wont eat cold pizza. Slice of Homage has good pizza! We tried the Detroit Vs Everybody and the crust is perfectly chewy with just the right crisp on the edges. Toppings were loaded and amazing cheese pull. Great for quick, very good slice!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here for a late night dinner around midnight after bar hopping nearby and the place was busy! After 10:30pm, they sell slices of whatever is left. The vegetarian options available to order at that time were cheese Detroit and cheese New York so we got four Detroit cheese slices with ricotta cheese on top. I like how there are bottles of ranch and honey on the side so we can add as much of it as we want. We really enjoyed the slices! Cheesy, fluffy, and good portion size. The ricotta was definitely worth it, and I liked the ranch and honey with the slices. Definitely will be coming back to Slice of Homage!

Yelp
I ordered the famous Detroit v. Everybody for pick up on a very busy Saturday evening. There was an event happening so lots of lively foot traffic and people enjoying all that Downtown San Jose has to offer. I went in to quickly pick up my pizza and sadly was not met with the same lively atmosphere inside SOH. I don't know what happened, the vibe in there was like someone's dog was just killed. The workers looked upset and stressed. I immediately felt like I needed to apologize for ordering a $50 pizza for pick up with two sides of ranch. I was a bit early so sat at their tables which were littered with used napkins, hella crumbs and an empty Diet Coke can. Oh, also the garbage can was damn near exploding. When it was time to grab my pizza the worker handed it to me, I thanked her profusely for being such an inconvenience and left as soon as humanly possible. Seriously though, tough crowd. The pizza was tasty, very rich with intensely salty pepperoni, the way I think pepperoni should be. It had those nice crispy edges and soft bready interior. The ranch was good too. The only thing it needed in my opinion was something to cut through all that richness like a jalapeño or maybe a more herby ranch. But overall, pretty tasty. I typically review places mostly based on their food but this place was so heinous in person that it makes me not want to go back just to never experience those vibes again. The pizza is good but not THAT good.

Yelp
This pizza was delicious. I'm not an olives person so if you're like me you need to be ready to check for olives on the majority of their slices. Pretty limited options for avoiding them. Olive oil all day but those salty guys no. I got the spicy Detroit style and the spicy mahalo. Both were great in their own way. I think the Detroit style won for the crunchy cheesy crust. Be ready though! $12 a slice all-in is real.
google avatar

Yelp
SOH is hyped but for good reason! Tasty pizza you can order by the slice or an entire pie to share with a group of friends. They're located in DTSJ so I feel like the foot traffic here would be insane after a night of drinking. My group of 7 got seated and started off with some drinks and apps. The onion rings were piping hot and I really enjoyed the horshradish sauce that came with it. For pizzas, we ordered a large Detriot v. Everybody and a Pizza Guy. I didn't realize that both Detroit and Sicilian style pizzas are square! Big suprise for me once the pies came out, but both were super tasty. I personally liked DVE better since there was a greater variety of toppings (ricotta ftw!) and the edges were crispier and fluffier compared to the Sicilian style pie. The prices seem steep, but for the size and quality of the pizzas, I think it's completely worth it. Heads up that if you want to sit and eat, you should head over to Social Club a couple feet to the left of the slice shop!

Yelp
Food: Their thick detriot style was a lot, too saucy and greasy. but their NY style slice was pretty good. Service: pretty terrible. I wish i had caught the lady's name, but she was super inpatient (hopefully just having a bad day). Ambiance: Decent. Tip: Their 1 slice of Detroit style pizza should be enough and with each order, there is 1 ranch. If you dont like thick pizza then grab the NY style slice pizza. Price point: expensive.

Yelp
Very busy on a Sunday night (December), decent line to order. Only a select amount left on display, so we weren't left with many options. Tables were also pretty packed. We went with the NY Margherita ($7) and Spicy D ($10) slice. The margherita we got had a bit of a stale and dry crust, sauce was okay but good cheese. The spicy D had a more soft and fluffy dough with a good spice kick from the toppings. The Detroit was crispier and more flavorful than the NY slice. Think the pizza may have been sitting there more so wasn't as warm and fresh. Don't think the price was worth it for just a slice so a full pizza may be more worth. Saw a lot of good reviews from the spot so we wanted to try, may have just gotten a bad batch.
google avatar

Eva L.

Yelp
3 stars for not skimping on ingredients. They top the slice with freshly shredded Parmesan cheese, fresh ribbons of basil and dots of what looks like ricotta cheese. Overall, pretty pricey for the portion and taste. It was $10 for a slice. Sauce and crust were just ok. I like that they offer thick crust. They heat up the slice then dress it with the toppings. Maybe I'll try a different flavor to see if other pies are better.

Yelp
Food was AMAZING! Never thought I would have hot honey on a pizza...but it was so good! Love the ability of splitting a pizza with 2 different flavors...that's great when I'm the only person that doesn't eat non halal Ambiance is perfect for a Sunday funday...bowling and enough TVs to watch the game. Drinks are of great variety...big tap list (no sours tho) and a full open bar with great variety of mixed drinks. Service is the reason for the low review, we were here for about 3.5 hours...most of which we sat waiting around for our check or our server to be found. But he was our side on extensive smoke breaks. We came in at a great time where we were the only ones in the establishment but we were still waiting around after the other tables around us were fed and left...it was just beyond weird and frustrating. Even asking another worker if we could close out and being told that our waiter would be around...but that never happened. Major props to the manager Kyler who came to see us as we were walking out on our request. He was very nice and apologetic for the lack of service that we received...for sure the type of love and care that managers should have about their business. He told us that the waiter was on the newer side and that he will talk to him about building his hospitality skills. Based on Kyler's understanding and the pizza we will be back to give it another shot again.

Yelp
I found my favorite pizza in the Bay Area , and I loved it enough to order it three months in a row--especially surprising since I don't usually eat much pizza. I'm also not usually a fan of thick Detroit-style pizza, but this one is an exception. The crust is incredibly crispy, the bread feels lighter than most, and the toppings are excellent. That said, my favorite pizza at this shop is their New York-style Beehive pizza, which comes with a mix of different meats. I loved the touch of orange blossom honey and orange zest on top! They use high-quality ingredients for their handcrafted pizzas and provide detailed descriptions of each ingredient online when you place an order. So, it's understandable that their prices are on the higher end--but given the consistently delicious flavors I've experienced, it's worth it!

Yelp
3 pizzas for $140 would normally make me scoff. But with these guys, I have no problem giving them my money. Why? Because they are worth it. Prior to trying Slice of Homage, I didn't even know what "Detroit" style pizza was. If I could explain the crust it's similar to deep dish but it's much more airy and almost focaccia like (but denser) in texture. And the bottom has that crunch factor. Think of Pizza Hut Pan pizza back in the day only this is much more bourgeois. If you've never had Slice of Homage before, do yourself a favor and come here. I ordered 3 of these bad boys for a gathering and we loved it all. These are the pizzas we got: *Detroit Vs. Everybody: Grain Craft flour, SOH Four-Cheese House Blend*, Genoa salami, roasted mushroom, bacon, fresh-pinched Fontanini® sausage, Rosa Grande® pepperoni. Finished with Stanislaus vine-ripe tomato sauce, whipped Ricotta con Latte®, TRULY® 100% garlic-infused EVOO, basil chiffonade, and freshly grated Grana Padano DOP*. *SOH Four Cheese House Blend: Point Reyes Farmstead Toma, Buholzer Brothers Wisconsin Brick, Grande East Coast Blend, Monterey Jack and roasted garlic. *Grana Padano DOP: is a part-slim hard cheese made from cows milk, aged for at least 9 months.-- Don't get intimated by these ingredients. All you need to know is one bite in, you're going to be sold. High quality all the way and the whipped Ricotta cheese on top is what pushes this one over the edge. You'll understand why this is one of their most popular pizzas. *CTS: Grain Craft flour, SOH Four-Cheese House Blend*, Genoa salami, canadian bacon, bacon, fresh-pinched Fontanini® sausage, Rosa Grande® pepperoni. Finished with Stanislaus vine-ripe tomato sauce, TRULY® 100% garlic-infused EVOO, and freshly grated Grana Padano DOP*. *SOH Four Cheese House Blend: Point Reyes Farmstead Toma, Buholzer Brothers Wisconsin Brick, Grande East Coast Blend, Monterey Jack and roasted garlic. *Grana Padano DOP: is a part-slim hard cheese made from cows milk, aged for at least 9 months. If you love bacon, you'll love this one. *Red Head: Grain Craft flour, SOH Four-Cheese House Blend*, Rosa Grande® pepperoni, Swiss American cupping pepperoni. Finished with Stanislaus vine-ripe tomato sauce, TRULY® 100% garlic-infused EVOO, and freshly grated Grana Padano DOP*. *SOH Four Cheese House Blend: Point Reyes Farmstead Toma, Buholzer Brothers Wisconsin Brick, Grande East Coast Blend, Monterey Jack and roasted garlic. *Grana Padano DOP: is a part-slim hard cheese made from cows milk, aged for at least 9 months. This is your atypical pepperoni. Why do I say atypical? Because it's Detroit style. All that carb-y goodness from the dough along with the crunchy bottom, melted cheese and thick slices of pepperoni. So much yes. Come support a small business.. This review is long overdue as I've been here on several occasions now and wouldn't hesitate to come back. Did I mention that eating the pizza as leftovers are just as good?

Yelp
Best pizza in the South Bay, though ~ $10 a slice. Worth getting a whole pizza. Incredibly delicious crust on the Detroit style pizzas and great topping choices. Great service and chill ambiance in DTSJ

Yelp
Was recommended this place by a friend and man it did not disappoint. Located in downtown San Jose with a parking garage that's 5 minutes from the place. First 90 minutes are free at the garage. Upon entering the restaurant it was already busy. Mind you I came right when it opened at 11:30am on a Friday. The people are amazing and very hospitable. 2 man crew offering amazing service and were very kind. Had the Detroit vs Everybody deep dish and it was delicious. The sprinkle I believe was parmesan cheese with some ricotta as well. The place is small, but busy. You can order online as well, but they are very efficient. My favorite pizza spot.

Yelp
So this place was a random San Jose spot, but it was hit as soon as tasted their Detroit Vs Everyone. FIRE FIRE Also had honey hot wings and bacon Cheese garlic bread Ridiculous

Yelp
I had high hopes for this place given all the hype throughout social media. Not going to lie, the pizza slices were good, but customer service was definitely lacking. The shop was packed, but I find the unfriendly attitude of the two staff members working in the front a bit off-putting. Choices were limited if you go in the evening. BF and I ordered two slices. He got the Detroit vs. Everybody and I got myself a classic NY cheese. BF asked about the white topping out of curiosity. They said it was ricotta cheese, but that doesn't mean he wants a huge glop of it on his pizza. That was odd for them to assume he wanted ricotta on his slice without asking. His Detroit slice was overloaded with ricotta cheese and he said pizza would have been better without it. I actually thought he asked for that much, but I presume he was telling the truth. The staff did not handle the order well. Our slices were quickly tossed into a large pizza box, which was wasteful for just two slices. I went back to ask for paper plates since we planned to eat while walking, but the girl was annoyed by the request. Our experience was a flop and we're both unsure if we'd return. We've been to similar pizza joints in SF where the service was much friendlier.

Yelp
Have been wanting to try this place and finally got a chance. Inside is small but they do have cute murals. Seems like mostly a take and go type place. They do offer by the slice which I wish I realized before I ordered because getting a mini Detroit style pizza was pretty expensive. The pizza itself was good. Fluffy/doughy, nice crust on the outside, good sauce, and cupping pepperoni, everything you'd expect from Detroit style. But honestly the price wasn't worth it for me. We also tried their buffalo wings which were cooked very well. Crispy yet tender and a little smoky with plenty of sauce. If I come back it's definitely going to be by the slice for a cheaper option. A mini Detroit pizza is 4 slices. My other issue with this place is that they have their card machine set to 20%, 22%, 25% tip automatically. So if you want to leave something less you'd have to click the custom option. I'm all for tipping because minimum wage is ridiculous but seriously for a mostly take out place 20% is kinda crazy to me.

Yelp
My favorite pizza!! Crave it so much that we drive 2 hours just to come here!!! Detroit style is killer and the ranch is also great!

Yelp
Soggy $60 pizza Heard all the hype about this Dine-In Pizza place so we came by to see what's it all about. First and foremost, it took FOREVER for the pizza to come out. When it came out, it was the SOGGIEST pizza I've eaten yet. We ordered: - Americana Classica (New York) By the way, this was nothing like New York pizza. Just coming back from New York this did not at all remind me of New York. It requires a fork, knife, and 50 million napkins. Pro: - good amount of toppings Cons: - The crust supporting the pizza was so soft you're not able to hold/fold it. Even using utensils + a plate was tough. - Ambiance is mid. They used to have games upstairs, now it's just empty and loud with just seating (bowling downstairs) - Bathroom are gross! Overall, I've given this place 2 chances (1 dine in and 1 to-go) both terrible experiences. I'd reframe from going here if you want real New York Pizza.
google avatar

Eric P.

Yelp
The food was definitely amazing if you're craving good old classic pizza. Lots of options ranging from a classic New York pizza with cheese to Detroit style pizza. The wings were average but it was good for a pizza place. The worker was super nice, listened and spoke to us as if we were friends. The vibes were great! Only issue is there is little seating, but you can always walk to San Pedro's little seating area! 100% would come back again.

Yelp
Good pizza but not crazy amazing, especially for a slice. I wanted to try SOH for a while and I got the vodka slice and the spicy pep, both were crispy, flavorful, and topped with this delicious garlic oil and parm. The slices were good, though each slice is $10, so at that point, get a whole pie!
google avatar

Doreen C.

Yelp
If you're looking for a rich, decadent, juicy pizza, this is the spot for you. The pizza is kinda like a Chicago style pizza with a thick crust/dough. I surprisingly liked it a lot despite usually liking thin crust pizzas more. The pizza was super flavorful and juicy and hit. The. Spot. Definitely worth the wait (it was around 30 mins but we just grabbed drinks next door). Would come back again!

Yelp
First time trying the deep dish pizza and love it. The pizza is very delicious and flavorful with white cheese on top. The workers here are nice and friendly. The restaurant is small with limited seats. It's going to be hard to find parking because it's in the heart of San Jose.
google avatar

Veronica P.

Yelp
Stopped because of being in the area. Had seen this place a couple times pop up online. Found street parking (luck) Didn't expect that it was so small but that was ok. Staff was really nice. Ordered to eat-in. Lots of different slices to choose from. Went with two pepperoni, one Spicy D (Detroit) and Mahalo slices. We were lucky to find a table to seat four. Five slices, 4 sodas = $50ish Either we were starving or the pizza was that good - pizza was devoured. Would come back again to try off the menu.

Yelp
SOH did not disappoint. Heard great things about it and finally stopped in. The eatery itself is small and mighty and by small I mean fits about 15 folks. Plenty of by the slice options and fill pizza options. My slice was topped off with freshly grated parmesan & basil. Warmed to perfection and served hot. The crust was doughy and light. Ingredients were fresh. Not a single negative about this experience. Can't wait to go back & try their Detroit style options.

Yelp
I'm not usually a big pizza person, but I enjoyed Slice of Homage! The pictures don't do it justice-- I was not expecting the pizza to be so thick and loaded with toppings. One slice is seriously enough to fill you up. We got the "Detroit vs. Everybody" pizza, and I was really impressed with the quality of the ingredients. It's almost $50, but you get what you pay for. Pro tip: try it with the hot honey (which is basically just regular honey). The sweetness pairs perfectly with all the salty toppings and balances out the flavors. I did takeout and reheated the pizza at home, but I bet it's even better fresh out of the oven. Overall, it's a solid pizza spot, and I'd definitely come back if I was ever craving pizza again.

Yelp
Awesome customer service but I just think this place is ok. One Detroit slice is $10, hefty for the slice, so I ended up getting a mini Detroit for $22. This took about 20min to make. I got a cheese Detroit style pizza and the sauce really fell flat. Given that I am vegetarian, I typically go for a cheese since veggies sometimes make a slice a little too soggy - I thought the sauce would make this pizza but eh. The crust is crispy and probably the best part. I don't think I would be back.

Yelp
Great friendly customer service, from everyone who works in this place. It's very small inside, but they also have a little outside seating, if you need to sit & eat. It's located DTSJ so if you know, you already know that parking is No Bueno, but there's plenty of parking garages to utilize, you decide where to park, on pricing & location. If you love pizza & don't mind the parking & have to walk a little, stop by this place and Try It Out! you will be a happy customer

Yelp
This place is a must-visit for Detroit-style pizza lovers! The crust is perfectly crispy with cheesy edges, and the toppings are fresh and flavorful. Whether you stick to a classic or try a specialty pie, every bite is incredible. At first it seems like a hole in the wall with a couple tables, but there's actually a hall next door where you can sit and enjoy! Also, staff is friendly and attentive, and parking is surprisingly easy with nearby garages and some street options. Perfect for dining in and grabbing a slice or for takeout--highly recommend!

Yelp
I got a slice of margherita pizza and it was so tasty! So cheesy with extra cheese sprinkled on top too. This place is in a great spot as well, near all the foot traffic downtown. I do wish they had water so I didn't have to buy a full size smart water bottle though. Also wish the seating area was not closed off since it was only for takeout and we had to eat outside.

Yelp
Got one slice of the Detroit pizza and it was AMAZING! The worker was really nice and laidback. There were several options to try but this pizza is definitely filling! We loved getting it the SOH style where they added the unique toppings (honestly doesn't need any extra sauce). Overall, great place and can't wait to be back.

Yelp
This location is an absolute gem perfect size amazing service quality food, and very clean. I think the only thing that I would wish for is for them to have a pesto pizza slice just cheese, but that's just me. if you ever see them on Instagram boosting about how amazing the pizza is they definitely deserve the bragging rights. This place is a must try.

Yelp
I didn't get a pic of my Pizza, but this place is fire!! High quality ingridients in every bite and slice. Employees are welcoming and friendly. The place is pretty small and located in downtown sj on a busy road so be aware of limited parking. You must visit here at least once. This will hit 10x different after bar hopping and experiencing night life in downtown sj!

Yelp
High quality, high prices. Slice of Homage is a San Jose legend, their Detroit vs. Everybody slice is loaded with goodness (pepperoni, mushroom, bacon, salami, basil, ricotta). One slice is enough for a meal, as it is very heavy/filling. However, at $10 a slice pretax, I can't say that I will be returning for a long while. You can easily get a similar deep dish slice for $6 at many pizza vendors. Perhaps the competition is low enough for SOH, so that they can charge a premium for their delicious pie!

Yelp
Stopped by this pizza place before exploring christmas in the park and downtown! It's not really much of a sit down restaurant but there are a few chairs and stools to sit on. Some outdoor tables as well. We walked to San Pedro market to eat because we were gonna go around that area anyway, and there are bathrooms there. No restroom over here. We got 3 different slices: Halla Mahalo, All Meat, and Pepperoni slices to go. These slices were already cooked so it was reheated in the oven and he poured some oil on top, sprinkled shredded basil leaves and parmesan on top. Personally my favorite was the halla mahalo slice. Apart from the ham and cheese it had jalapeno and added a nice kick to it. The pineapple slices are a bit different from the usual fast food pizza places i'm used to and I kind of liked it more. The chunks were bigger and a little more sweeter. The slices were pretty big but also pretty expensive. NY slices are $7 but Detroit and Sicilians are $10 per slice. I think i'd return for a whole pizza and not slices for that price.

Yelp
[Food] - Beehive slice w/ whipped ricotta: Delicious and worth the price. I love red sauced pizza and the combination of sausage, pepperoni, peppers, oregano, salami, and the subtle honey flavor. Great balance! I didn't taste the orange zest tho. My boyfriend got this for me so I'm not too sure about the pricing but it seems like $7 per slice and the whipped ricotta was an extra charge. [Service] - Helpful, friendly, attentive [Ambiance] - casual, drunk food atmosphere [Overall] - I had low expectations to begin with but this wowed me so I'd definitely want to go back!

Yelp
Good small pizza shop with great variety of pizza types: most were Sicilian style (thick-crust, square pizza) and there were a couple of typical triangular-sliced pizza options. Our group of friends came on a Saturday night and we ordered a few slices total. Most of us got the Detroit vs Everybody square pizza, which the pizza was filled to the brim with toppings, overflowing with the amount of pepperoni. While the pizza is delicious, the shop is small, not with a lot of seating. Pricing is also a bit expensive for one slice (I believe around ~$10 for the Detroit). For the price, I'm not sure if I'd return. It is great for the munchies after a night out in DTSJ, however.

Yelp
Rude service from Harrison. They forgot about our order and was really rude about it. Waited over 15 minutes and had to follow up about the order. And they didn't put the toppings on our pizza. Detroit v everybody missing the ricotta and basil... Won't be back due to the awful service
