I’m not sure how this place remained under my radar for so long, as I just recently heard about this place. It’s essentially a garage turned into an eatery, serving up some delicious American BBQ. The main attraction is the A5 Wagyu brisket, and it’s worth the trip alone. It’s some of the best brisket I’ve ever had, and I’m from the south in the US which serves amazing BBQ. The homemade sauces are also very good, allowing you to customize your taste. I definitely want to come back for the beef ribs, but they may run out if you don’t go early enough. The service was very friendly and the staff lovely.

I'm from NC and my family owns a BBQ sauce. I'm a stickler when it comes to BBQ. THIS IS SOME OF THE BEST BBQ I'VE EVER HAD!! I had to go back and get a second plate. I tried the brisket and pulled pork. I went back for the beef rib. The brisket was so juicy and tender. The pulled pork was delicious and that's coming from someone from NC. The beef rib killed me. I can die happy now

The atmosphere is so nice in OmoteSando. Slice of life has some seating inside and outside to give you options. The pulled pork was the best. Second was the spare ribs. The beef was good. The chili that comes with the meals tasted good but in just not used to having chili with bbq like that. The service was amazing. They offer takeout containers and plastic bags. They even have merch (tshirt).

If you are looking for good American style wagyu bbq this is your place. It was too fatty for me but my husband absolutely loved it. We ordered a rib ahead of time and got the burnt ends. Both were perfectly smoked. They also make their own vinegar based bbq sauce that’s to die for. The coffee one was our favorite. Sadly they were not selling it that day so we were not able to take some home. The little scoop of Chili you get on the side was perfect! I wanted a whole bowl. Some may feel odd sitting in the garage to eat but I thought it was cute and fun. The staff were inviting and sweet!

Food was avg to Tokyo standard. The sausage was over smoked n was a bit dried. The only item worth getting was the brisket but would not go out of the way to get them. There r about 10 seats in a garage with no access to a restroom.

FORGET FRANKLIN, INTERSTELLAR OR LEROY AND LEWIS! SAVE THE 4WD HIRE REQUIRED TO TRAVERSE THE LONESTAR STATE AND INSTEAD FOOTROT THE BACKSTREETS OF HARAJUKU FOR THIS HICKORY HAOVER CURE! Karuizawa-san has slowly built a reputation that proceeds him as one of the global Pitmasters to watch, translating the experience of Texas BBQ to his homeland with small adjustments that reflect both cultural nuances and local produce. The result is a unique smoked meats experienced that really shines in its tenderness and depth of flavour. The sauces add a counterbalance of sweet and sourness to the meat which has a really peppery and well-salted, cured taste that runs deep in the flash fibre. Rice (*Japanese rice) is the perfect vessel over the traditional cornbread or toast which can be very heavy as a starch-forward, enriched carbs.
In Japan, “slice of life” is more than an Anime sub-genre now. It stands for AMAZING BBQ.

Wanted to try the beef and saved stomach space from the pork and did not regret it . The wagyu brisket is the bomb and it melts in the mouth . Best paired with the rice and sides and a touch of sauce . Would love to try the burnt ends but the price point was just insane ! Will come back again maybe for the ribs

Not good. Not real Texas bbq or anything remotely resembling it. Yeah, yeah, I know you’re a small food truck, but that’s my point. Where’s the smoke pit? Why doesn’t it smell like smoke? You’re not smoking this either behind your house in Harajuku without getting complaints.
Aside from that - Brisket was thin, tough and stringy and served on cold white rice. “Sides” were potato chips out of a bag, canned beans, and convenience store chopped salad with mayo. Probably nothing was made on site. The pictures on the menu showed Mac and cheese, pickles, and fresh corn. None of that was served.
Felt gross after eating here. This all cost me and my friend around 2700 yen.
It doesn’t help at all that I’m originally from Texas.
