Slicehaus recently opened in the Village on Carmine. This alum team from L'Industrie has come up with a fabulous menu... for my first visit I had the potato/bacon slice topped with fresh parm and basil. The potatoes are tender and delicious, with a perfect bacon combo... doesn't feel heavy (small wish: that the toppings were also present closer to the crust... but those first few bites were incredible). I really wanted to taste another slice, but decided to wait until my next visit.
It doesn't have the crazy lines yet, but I expect that will change (granted I visited lunch time midweek... there is almost always a line at L'Industrie).
I won't pick a fave between this slice or my fave option at L'Industrie which is bacon/fig or burrata. But I do look forward to trying other slices here including the sausage/shishito peppers, plain, pep, meatball, etc. and their sandwiches. It's worth the long walk from my apartment to both places... wish we had slices like these in my neighborhood!!
