NYC New Restaurant Openings, September 2025 | Eater NY

"This hot new pizzeria turns out crispy, airy New York–style pies behind an open kitchen, swearing by cold-pressed Italian olive oil flown in weekly and a soundtrack of house and hip-hop." - Nadia Chaudhury

NYC Restaurant Preview: Babbo, PDT, José Andrés, and More

"With a Neapolitan-trained pizzaiolo from Naples, SliceHaus will serve both whole pies and slices topped in bold combinations (sausage and shishitos, robiola and prosciutto, porcini and speck) using cold-pressed olive oil flown from Italy, and it places standing tables just steps from Joe’s Pizza for direct slice-to-slice competition." - Alan Sytsma

Amazing pizza. The sauce is zesty and bold, the crust is spot-on—crunchy on the outside with a satisfying chew and an airy crumb. Italian sourced Ingredients with fresh herbs and a dusting of parm when plated. Very excited for this pizza. Extremely good. They're sitting in a crowded field of iconic pizzerias and carry themselves like they belong—because they do. When Dave Portnoy eventually swings by, don’t be surprised if this place blows up.

Google
The West Village is the indisputable best pizza neighborhood in NYC, and probably the world. Case is point is this new spot. In any other American city it would probably be the best pizza available, but here it's one of nearly a dozen choices and styles at the top level. The dough, toppings and presentation style are suspiciously similar to their much more popular competitor on Christopher St., although the slices here are more expensive. Hard not to see it as some sort of copycat, but when the pizza is this good, who cares? West Villagers have been blessed by the pizza gods.

Google
solid neo-nyc style pizza; the crust had both great texture and flavor plus tomato sauce was perfect. One of the few places that I couldn’t distinguish the reheated slice from the freshly baked one which is the great sign! Btw West village has truly turned into the epicenter of pizza in nyc. I seriously don’t understand the ppl eagerly queue in front of places like Lindustrie for a long time while there are so many fantastic options in walking distance!

Google
This pizza joint has a ton of potential! After seeing the insane line at a bagel place next door, I was intrigued. They had the Detroit slices front and center, which was reminiscent of Mama’s Too. We ordered the vodka meatball slice, which had one of the most impressive bread of any pizza I’ve had to date. Perfectly crispy and fluffy, this was one of the few instances I actually enjoyed having as much bread as I did. If the sauce on the pizza were a bit richer, I feel like this would be one of the best slices of pizza I’ve had. Also played some banger songs throughout the night!

Google
Excellent pizza. Really good thin crust, interesting flavors, friendly staff. Standing only, but a few tables both inside and outside and a nice park across the street you can eat at too.

Google
This place is such a great find! The pizza is thin, light, and super flavorful You can tell they really care about the quality because every bite tastes fresh and balanced. The best part? It’s unbelievably quick. Perfect if you’re craving something delicious without the wait. The spot itself is small and cozy, which gives it that hidden-gem feel. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or picking up to-go, it’s exactly the kind of pizza place you want in your neighborhood.

Google
Great new slice joint. Regular and Sicilian slices. Just a few barstools and seating for 3- 4 people total. Pizza was great thin crust quality ingredients. I will go back

Yelp
B-b-b-b-b-bangin'! And they had NA beer options. And they are walking distance from the Christopher St. PATH for us NJ folks. The guy behind the counter was so kind to warn us that the beer was non alcoholic lol I wonder if someone has complained before. The slice we had was amazing and the spot has this cozy edge to it even with the world alive outside. Just a good spot, and we didn't have to wait long to order or get the food.

Yelp
The newest addition to the slew of West Village pizza spots and my assessment is .... A solid addition. Slices are similar quality to L'industrie but are more affordable and MOST importantly no crazy line. Staff is friendly as well.

Yelp
Slicehaus recently opened in the Village on Carmine. This alum team from L'Industrie has come up with a fabulous menu... for my first visit I had the potato/bacon slice topped with fresh parm and basil. The potatoes are tender and delicious, with a perfect bacon combo... doesn't feel heavy (small wish: that the toppings were also present closer to the crust... but those first few bites were incredible). I really wanted to taste another slice, but decided to wait until my next visit. It doesn't have the crazy lines yet, but I expect that will change (granted I visited lunch time midweek... there is almost always a line at L'Industrie). I won't pick a fave between this slice or my fave option at L'Industrie which is bacon/fig or burrata. But I do look forward to trying other slices here including the sausage/shishito peppers, plain, pep, meatball, etc. and their sandwiches. It's worth the long walk from my apartment to both places... wish we had slices like these in my neighborhood!! Potato/ bacon slice $6.50 plus tax = $7.08

Yelp
Slicehaus is sofa king good! So the special square slice of the day was vodka meatball. I ordered the vodka meatball square and the regular potato bacon slice everyone is raving about. I'll start with the vodka meatball square. The toppings were fresh and delicious but the dough was too thick for me. The regular potato bacon slice was perfection. Beautifully fermented dough with just the right amount of chew and char. Crisp bits of bacon. Smooth thinly sliced potato and the torn fresh basil. I'm in. I eat a lot of pizza and I'll be back.

Yelp
Pizza in the West Village! The one thing I've learned about the West Village is that a top tier pizza slice is always gonna be nearby. I work really close to this spot, walked past it the day they opened, and unassumingly went in for a post-work treat. The slice that made me fall in love was their Sicilian slice topped with soppresata, hot honey, fresh basil, and freshly grated parm; flavorful on top, and great texture on the crust -- it's got that crispy bottom And a nice chew (and their Sicilian slices are Fat). Been a few more times since then and the quality has held up every single time! Space is small with a few stools against the wall so definitely a grab and go spot. Slices are prepped to order but still come out timely. It feels silly to have yet Another great slice shop in the area, but I will gladly be back again.

Yelp
Another great slice shop in the WV - I guess there can never be enough and this one might be a new favorite. Love the creativity of the toppings and how they don't overpower the classic slice. We were given an extra slice of the soppressata bc he said the first slice he got for us was "too small." What a deal! Amazing service. Loved the shishito slice as well and can't wait to try the others

Yelp
New pizza shop run by a master pizzaiolo with experience from L'Industrie a few blocks away. Slices are perfect NY style with airy thin crust serving up excellent sauce and cheese. There are a variety of toppings available, as well as Sicilian style square pizza. Tried the sausage with shishito (red) as well as the ham and corn (white). Both were fantastic. Service was quick and friendly. Prices were reasonable. There are a handful of spots to sit inside and some places to stand and grab a bite outside. There are hot chili oil, red pepper flakes, and other seasonings you can add on the side after you receive your slice. Will definitely come back to try some of the other pizzas. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I made a trip to Slicehaus after attending Mass at Our Lady of Pompeii. Carmine Street has no shortage of Pizza shops and Slicehaus is the newest one. It is a tiny shop with limited seating. I ordered two classic Sicilian's and a Lime soda. My slices were very good. The crust was thick and firm, and the sauce was very good. Two slices and a soda cost $17.15. A bit steep.

Yelp
Very upscale slice. The sauce was thick and rich. They add a spray of oil after it's warmed up.i liked it. Think of s upscale slice
