It's been years since I've been as excited for something as much as this brand-new venue. They opened July 4th. They are located on Cape Coral Parkway East, right before/after the bridge, depending which way you're heading. The space was designed wonderfully. The full length features a long expanse of waterfront docking, the marina services and shop, outdoor covered seating with picnic tables and comfortable cushion lounge seating with tables on each side of a large partially enclosed, open air bar named The Helm. The space is framed by subtle landscaping and artificial greens that offer opportunities to play corn hole.
Along the length of the space there are nine different food trucks and two other drink/snack trucks.
Gigi's Gourmet featuring Burgers, Wagyu Hot Dogs, Grilled Cheeses, Salads and Truffle Fries
Crooked Cow Creamery featuring, Ice Cream, Milkshakes, Snacks and drink options aside from the bar.
Greek Spot (one of our regular favorites) featuring Gyros and Salads
Addison's on the go, featuring Chicken Apps, Handhelds and Wraps
Smokestream BBQ featuring BBQ Sandwiches and Mac Bowls
Lemonade Social featuring Lemonade, a refreshing drink option aside from the bar.
Yunta featuring Cuban Appetizers, Empanadas, Sandwiches and Bowls.
Lobster Chef featuring Lobster Rolls and other options.
Not Yo Mama's Tacos featuring some fun menu names with great combinations of tacos and more.
Chop it Up featuring chopped Sandwiches, Salads and Wraps
Philly Junction featuring Cheesesteaks, Cold Subs and Sandwiches
The food trucks sell food only, so you'll want to grab a beverage from either Crooked Cow Creamery, Lemonade Social or The Helm (the bar). Both places we ordered from gave us a pager that buzzed when we needed to pick up our food.
I ordered from Not Yo Mama's Tacos and I keep thinking about the Wild Willy's Fowl Play tacos I had. Marinated Glazed Chicken, Maple Bacon Ranch, Cilantro Aioli, Candied Jalapenos, Crispy Onions, Cilantro on Corn Tortillas. Wow, a flavor and texture party in my mouth. Flavors that popped yet blended beautifully and a perfect mouth feel with crunch and chew. 5 stars all day long.
Mr. T got a cheesesteak from Philly Junction and didn't talk to me again until he was finished eating. He said it was good but he's low-key like that. When I asked, he said he could definitely recommend it.
Sunday afternoon when we visited, they had a live band playing Reggae. It was crowded but still maintain space to spread out. The sun was shining, there was great food and drinks, music, a breeze. The entire vibe was amazing. This is the type of place we will come back to over and over and evidently everyone else agrees. Parking is hard to find and we were told the boat slips for docking fill up every day by about 11:30 or 12:00 noon and then there's a waiting line in the water.
Worth the effort to park or dock. The entire experience was great. We'll be back soon.
