The 26 Best Things Made in Michigan’s Cities | Eater

"Like many cities in Michigan, Flint’s modern history is intertwined with the auto industry — its nickname is Vehicle City. Home to the largest GM complex in the world in the early 20th century and the birthplace of Buick and Chevrolet, Flint played an important role in American car manufacturing. Get a deeper understanding of Flint’s contributions with a look at some of the classic cars and archives at the Sloan Museum. Their permanent home in the Flint Cultural Center is closed for renovations until 2021, but you can still check out more than 30 vehicles from their collection in their temporary location at the Courtland Center Mall." - Vox Creative

Amazing collection of cars! You will not be disappointed. They even have several concept cars that were never produced.

Son loved it, i think they need to add more the one of some items. Such as the sand turn table, kids fighting over it and when one kid trying to do a design another messing it up.

Highly recommended for a visit if you appreciate old cars. They have some models you can crawl into. Some on display are so rare this is probably the only place you will ever see it. This place is a very fun trip back through time and educational as well.

Excellent resource for Buick heritage and history. Factory archives for each model year are available for anyone wishing to research a particular Buick model. I was able to copy numerous mechanical drawings & specifications for my 1960 Invicta convertible. Displayed vehicles are rotated and can range from early 1900's through the 1980's. At times they have concept cars on display like the original Riviera Silver Arrow. Cars can be viewed up close and personal. Typically not very crowded because the collection is housed separately from the Sloan Museum. Lots of opportunity to enjoy the collection at your leisure. Other automotive-related period artifacts on display as well. A true joy for anyone dedicated to Buick Motor Division products. Doubt you would find a more comprehensive collection anywhere else.

This little auto history museum is a gem. Wonderful collection of older cars and associated period memorabilia and signage. Great way to spend a couple of hours.

Very interesting place. Some of the cars are ones that were made only for spec so they are one of a kind. If you are a car lover you will love this Museum.

Amazing history, especially if like me your whole family worked between Buick, Chevrolet, and AC/Delphi.
