Sloppy Joe's

Tony and I stopped in at Sloppy Joe's on Shiloh Street on top of Mt Washington in Pittsburgh today! We parked across the street which is free on Sundays! The bartender was extremely friendly and so sweet 😋! Tony ordered a PBR and I got a coke! We enjoyed conversations with the bartender and a few of the locals! Definitely recommend and Definitely going back when we venture into Pittsburgh again!

Alyssa is the best bartender I’ve ever had. She makes us feel like we are in our house while we are at the bar. She’s super attentive and also hilarious! She bought everyone pizza during the game!

I stopped in here on a Sunday night over the summer. Not many places on Shiloh Street are open on Sunday nights. Sloppy Joe's has a laid back and welcoming atmosphere. The other patrons seemed to be having a low-key good time. The bartender was zipping around making sure everyone at the bar was taken care of. Drinks are reasonably priced.

No food served here so I can't rate that. Good bar on atmosphere ... Great DJ on Friday and Saturday nights!

We went to Pittsburgh on a Monday to do a low key birthday bar crawl. Sloppy Joe's was within walking distance from our airbnb so we walked there to have a few drinks while we waited for the rest of the crew to get into town. The bartender was very friendly and gave us some good info about what was open in the area. Drinks were good. We had a really nice, chill time there.

Took my brother in to have a couple drinks for his 21st … the bartender that was working tonight (01/26/25) was the best she was the sweetest and makes great liquid marijuanas 😁😁

Music Trivia is at Sloppy Joes Wednesday’s at 8pm! It’s a classic name that tune format, but with fun challenge mini games in between rounds! This was honestly one of the best trivia’s I’ve been to because it was so unique! Each team gets to pick your own music category for each turn, so it’s fairly catered to your existing genre knowledge. So so much fun! Prizes too but be aware they sometimes start trivia lil late. Sloppy joes is a classic small dive bar. No food but a great place for a drink

Great place to grab a quick drink and the bartenders are super friendly. I love going to their "name that tune" nights on Wednesdays. Super fun and the DJ does a great job hosting the game. It's rare that I give a bar 5 stars when its no food and non-smoking but this place deserves it. The employees are great and it's always a fun time.

Fun bar! Service is good. We always have fun here. The owner always puts out a great spread for any important pittsburgh sport games!

just because this place has not been reviewed in a year does not mean it's not thriving! it's so fun. tuesday is karaoke ! there is a bar, they have a lot of options but not all. they do not serve food but they will let you bring food in. the vibe is fun, the place is small and cozy i think they are cash only so keep that in mind when coming. parking on a week day is easy but i'm sure a weekend is hard

Well basically it's just a great little blues music pub . Wonderful friendly atmosphere to just get out there and unwind ! Wil I Am is just out there all the time doing his thing .

Honestly this place is great for those 26+. Good vibes without all of the Southside drama. I will say the one Big bouncer, his name is Bernie.. you can't miss him. He's sweaty and big. He is disgusting. When they say they're "full" just know he will still let 6 girls by themselves inside the bar but he won't allow a couple in. Sorry to break it to ya big Bernie but letting more girls in doesn't increase your chances of sleeping with them. But nice try.

LOVE SLOPPYS! Sloppy Joes is the local "dive bar" on Mt. Washington! On Friday and Saturday nights it's very common to have a line outside! Good prices, good music and fun atmosphere! Don't judge a book by its cover! Highly recommend checking out!!

We travel all the way from Canada to visit Sloppy Joes. Love this place. Nino the singing bartender is my hero! Always see some familiar local faces (including Ivan and Lipps). Great dive bar for a sunny afternoon beer, or a DJ dance party Saturday night. We need a Sloppy Joes back in Ottawa! Thanks for the good times.

Here on saturday, It's such a confusing bar* Drink prices were great *first hour I was there, definitely thought someone was going to be stabbed, 3 fights broke out and 8 people were asked to leave. Last hour I was there it was like a reunion for Laguna Beach with all the wasted blondes rolling in from Southside

My go to bar in Mt. Washington. Friendly bartenders, friendly customers and cheap drinks what more can you ask for? It's a great spot to go and watch the game... any of them lol. They also have nights every once in a while they charge a cover and televise UFC fights which are always fun. This is definitely a bar where you get to know the bartenders and other regulars but it's great for tourists too. A lot of them ask if they serve food but despite the name, they do not. Jake, Melissa and Melonie the three main bartenders are super cool. Stop by sometime!

Hands down favorite bar in Pittsburgh, friendly and attentive bartenders, DJ is always playing a great mix for the crowd. Drinks prices are Great! dance floor is always going on Friday, Saturday nights. Looking for a GREAT time, look no further!

I like sloppy joes a lot. They have the best long islands in Pittsburgh. Sometimes there are fights outside after the ufc fights. And music trivia is a good time.

Named after the famous bar in the Florida Keys, where Papa got inspiration for his famous works of literature. Unfortunately, the name is where the similarities end. This is just another neighborhood bar, they do serve food, and have some mighty tasty sandwiches. Nice selection of brews and full bar. Also unfortunate is the rough crowd that hangs out here. During the day it's an old man bar. At night, let's just say its not the kind of place you want to bring your wife for a night out. Pretty popular with the college guys who live on the mount.

If you want to get in a fight, buy drugs or even do drugs with the owner then this is the place to go. Used to go for karaoke but the DJ is a bitch at times and think her shit don't stink. Your best best is to be safe and go elsewhere. Nasty ass customers and bad drinks. I'm local and will go out of my way to avoid the place

It's always a good environment for a party crowd, but good fucking luck getting a drink if you don't personally know the bartender. It literally happens every single time we're there. Tonight we watched 10 different people there after us get served before three of us, positioned at different spots around the bar could order our drinks. Literally came tonight at 12:45 and waited at the bar for 30 minutes and just left with no one getting served or acknowledged. Don't get me wrong, we've been to a lot of places that are packed and had to wait a while for drinks, but this place is like this every time, no matter what day.

It's what you see is what you get type of bar. It's a neighborhood bar not gonna have fancy cocktails or craft beers per se. It is many times hard to get in here late at night on weekends because they are at capacity. That is somewhat annoying. I don't mind standing in line for a nightclub but a neighborhood bar I find a little silly. That being said - I really like this place. It can be very crowded but the bartenders do try their best to give everyone good service. You may have to wait a bit but they will get to you. It's a fun place with good music and fun clientele. I really like this bar a lot. The prices are also very reasonable compared to the other bars on this street. This is my go-to place after work on Saturday nights. I don't think that will change unless I can't get in because it's at capacity.

This place is your average hole in the wall dive bar. Pros: good beer selection and pleasant, attentive bartenders. Cons: small interior, bartenders use "cheat sheets" for common drinks (although maybe this is a pro since they care enough not to wing it), and the crowd varies from old timers to a more rough and tumble crowd.

This place is an outstanding mixture of dive bar and shady dance floor. Only enter blacked-out drunk. Wear sweatpants.
