We happened to go in on a Thursday and was pleasantly surprised to find that burgers and fries were only $7 on Thursdays. Burgers were delicious, servers were amazing and the vibe in there is really cool!! We also got the sloppy fries which were amazing! Highly recommend. P.S. thought this was a dive bar due to the name, but once again, pleasantly surprised 😮

The food: Amazing. Tasteful. Flavorful. Service: Equally as great. Raven, our server, was amazing. Normally I have to ask for a refill on drinks but this time- the drink was flawlessly there. I will definitely be back. One very important detail: we can with our twin two year olds and we did not even remember we had toddlers because the food was out as quickly as it took us to order it. If you’re in the area- make sure you try out this place.

Good food, especially their half off specials. Friendly staff. A bit noisy but clean with plenty of sceens to watch sports.

The reviews are deceiving. The food is nasty, the drinks are watered down, and this place is NOT for minorities. The bartender used her bare hands to grab cherries for my drink. The food was nasty and unseasoned. Please do not waste your money here. Your response shows how you really appreciate your customers. I've lived in the area longer than you'll be in business. Take the feedback from a paying customer, offer a refund, or a opportunity to do better.

The experience was amazing and Ms. Jennifer was kind and professional and provided and exceptional service in which provided a welcoming and delightful atmosphere! The wings were delightful and it’s a just to get all flats in which you need to pay an additional fee which is of course understandable! You should also try the loaded tater tots! The drinks make the experience better just make sure you ask what’s on the list if you can’t read the menu!

Food was definitely good the fully loaded nachos tasted amazing the half was almost enough but I went on a Tuesday and there was a steak dinner for Like 10 bucks was definitely a bargain and good will come back again 👌🏾

Terrible, they overcharge for to go boxes. The staff on Monday nights are very very rude, as a bartender the service is just not up to par compared to places I've personally worked at...but I guess that's expected from a place like this... Haven't tried to food, but the service deterred me unfortunately.

Attended this place for the first time this past Saturday for a fund raising event for my friends' polar plunge team. Service was quick considering how busy they were, food was good(I had the roast beef lunchbox), drinks were good, plenty of TV's to watch ur favorite sports..not a huge place but very friendly & welcoming..

Oooh my goodness, how can you go wrong with sloppy joes over sweet potato fries and cheese. It's my entire food pyramid on a plate. Hubby and I split the appetizer portion and the mashed potato balls. The entree comes with a burger on it as well and is for 2. The staff is very friendly and attentive without hovering. It's definitely worth the drive from the beach and the menu is great.

Great vibes here! Got the sloppy joe meat on the side of our loaded nachos. The service was great and our waitress was helpful!

Overall, I would say it was pretty so so the food came out relatively slow compared to the amount of people in the restaurant only two others, nothing crazy was ordered. Two meals. Two drinks server was friendly, but not around a whole lot. Food came out warm in as ordered. Flavor was good. Nothing to write home about but would go back during lunch. It might be a good place to catch a game plenty of TVs around restaurant was super clean.

I finally decided to come here to get a sloppy joe sandwich because I was craving one I like the sloppy joe but i think next time I will ask for no cheese I like cheese, but I don't want it on my sloppy joe. The service is nice and great. She said 8 minutes and it was fast as well. The fries were good as well. I came at 11am so it just opened and inside it was just me only I ordered to go and very pleasant and clean inside. The tvs were on so I sat and watched for a bit. I will come back and try the other foods on the menu.

Local sports bar with humorous innuendo menu items. Full bar available. Tater ball app was very good (5/5 stars), elevated comfort food. Jalepeno burger was average (3/5 stars). My buddy's tuna Caesar salad was better (4/5 stars), taste and texture both. Shared parking lot, gender specific restrooms. Server was punchy and made the visit enjoyable.

I stopped here for lunch. Not too crowded for a Thursday afternoon. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. Although I did not have an alcoholic drink, I noticed that the bar was fully stocked with wine, beer, and liquor... my food was good. Will return.

Went hear for dinner with a friend. We got there an hour before they were going to close. The inside of the restaurant was actually nice and comfortable. They also have specials almost everyday which was nice to learn about. I ordered the loaded nachos for appetizer and they weren't very good unfortunately. I just don't think I really liked the sloppy joe that was on top, the flavor was a bit off to me and it was sweet as well. We both ordered their cowboy burgers which came with bbq sauce and an onion ring on it and added bacon. I got a side of mac and cheese and my friend got a side of fries; overall, it tasted decent. All of our food came out very fast which was great and our waitress was very nice and friendly. Their menu options wasn't very abundant, but I can see myself coming back to either try something else or try out their brunch one day. My overall rate of experience: 5.5/10

What a great find! Even though I'm not a real sports enthusiast, the atmosphere and service at Sloppy 2nds is fantastic. Always a full house when we've been there and [since we've always been on Hamburger Special night] the burgers are a fantastic value, flavorful, and filling! We love the 'up-sell' to the sweet potato fries, and the entire visit including sodas and tip, is a great price! I'm looking forward to trying other 'special nights' [steak night and wings night in particular ... I don't doubt they'll be just as satisfying!

Service is always great! Food is top notch bar food, the specials are crazy good! It's our Friday night go to!

Stopped in to catch my football game but it wasn't avail due to some beef with directv and ABC?! I was too hungry to leave so I stayed for a bite. Burger was pretty amazing! Cooked how I asked and hella juicy! Tots were crispy and plentiful! Waitress was amazing for being the only one there bartending and waiting. Nice clean spot with plenty of TVs and full bar! Bomb ass burger and beer for $20 is a win in my book!

The sloppy Joe flavor is so good! It's a sweeter flavor. I have the nachos half portion which was plenty for one. My husband has the cowboy burger. The sweet potato fries were hand cut and so good! The price was amazing- both of us for lunch under $30. Our waitress was running bar too and was still attentive and quick. Fun bar atmosphere if you are looking to watch a Sunday football game, people in jerseys watching.

Still no drink menu. Still woefully understaffed. On a busy night like their music bingo Wednesdays, the size of the crowd requires at least 4 serving staff, not just 2. Still no cider variety, and no stouts. But here's the main point of this updated review... some of my group arrived early, wanting to eat before music bingo started, and there weren't very many other folks in the restaurant, but it was already deafeningly loud inside. The space is kind of small, but cavernous overhead, and the music was likely being played a little too loud, so everyone trying to have a conversation is having to shout across their tables just to be heard by their companions. So once music bingo started, having a conversation with anyone other than the person sitting right next to me was impossible. By the end of the evening, my voice was completely strained as if I had been screaming at a concert all night.

Fantastic food and service. The sloppy Joe nachos were a huge hit, as were all of the sandwiches. It also looks like there are fantastic deals every night. We came from out of town, and will be coming back. Great atmosphere and bar area as well.

I went there because I meet neighbors there once a month... so I didn't know what to expect. Boy was I surprised! We went on steak night and it was fantastic! The service couldn't get any better and the ambiance was great! Been going back there ever since! Try it.... You will love it!

Me and some friends came here after the AFSP walk - seemed a few other participants did too. There was a $3.50 Bloody Mary and mimosa special and the Bloody Mary was ok, seemed to have very little liquor if at all( but hey it was $3.50). The frickles were good just be careful of temperature they came out very warm. The havarti on my grilled cheese was extra delicious- I highly recommend this place and that sandwich!! The bathroom wasn't the best but I think the food more than makes up for it.

Good food, the steak special on Tuesday nights is fantastic.......$9.95.....come try it out!

We arrived at 4:42 Sat at a table for a little more than ten min without being acknowledged in the slightest before we decided to leave. Some guys that arrived after us went up to the bar at 4:50 the lady behind the bar stopped and looked at the clock and told the guys that it was shift change and someone will be to them at 5. She did at least take their drink orders and serve them drinks. I have worked at multiple restaurants and I have never seen someone actually decline to wait on people before their actual shift ended.

The fries are good I just expected a bit more fries I guess I have more chili and cheese than I do fries I took a pic with the sides on the tray versus the sides off the tray smh

Awesome place. My wife and I have been here several times. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The food portions were generous and very tasty. We don't go out often, but this is a go to.

My boyfriend and I were craving burgers and fries on a Monday right around lunchtime and I stumbled across this place on Yelp with pretty good reviews. I definitely wanted to support a local small business so I gave Sloppy Seconds a shot. I ordered over the phone and in 15 minutes I was picking up my food. I ordered a Mushroom Swiss Burger with regular fries and my boyfriend got a BYO Burger with sweet potato fries. We ordered an extra side of sweet potato fries because we LOVE sweet potato fries. Overall we were satisfied with our food and the portion size, which initially I was kind of nervous about. I personally did not like the sweet potato fries because they are thicker which makes them not as crispy (see my photos). I also was not able to get a good picture of my boyfriend's food before he started devouring it! I did notice that their online menu and the pictures on yelp have some differences so go to their website for the most up to date info. I didn't get a chance to take a menu pic when I picked up my food. They have happy hour specials and weekday theme nights and one that stood out to me was Burger Night on Thursdays, dine in only but they offer $5 burgers/fries! I'll have to check that out. 4 stars for good food, I wasn't blown away but I'll definitely be back because I live nearby and am always looking to support small businesses.

The food was great for grill type food. I ordered a cheeseburger medium-well, and it was done perfectly. The onion rings were also cooked just perfectly! I'd definitely return if I were back in the area.

I visited here with my daughter in July 2023 and the ambiance was great it wasn't too loud and the waitress was very nice. The decor was fitting and seats weren't too close to one another. I liked that it was in VA beach but not on the beach so we could avoid the summer crowds. However the food was subpar. Maybe my burger was over cooked, not all the food was bad my daughter really liked her meal. I'll definitely give the restaurant a second try it wasn't terrible but it may have been an off day on food preparation.

it took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come by. It was crowed so we decided to be patient. The food came in a reasonable amount of time and was pretty good. We were there for hours. There were birthday parties going on so it was pretty loud. The restaurant seemed pretty maintained. The waitress never returned to the table to ask if we were okay which means we never received any refills, dessert or anything. Going on our 3rd hour the waitress returned asking if we wanted to check out. Wow. Yes we told her. That was my first time there and probably my last.

3 for the food and a 5 for the terrific and friendly service, so we'll split the difference. Came in on a Saturday for lunch and they were having a fundraiser for a local child who has cancer. Tomorrow's event is a fundraiser for The Australian Red Cross. Nice to see a local place giving back. Our server greeted us right away and she was fantastic, super friendly, too! We started with pretzel bites...because Duh. They are deep fried, which is a bit weird and knocks the salt off. I wasn't blown away by them, but Hubby was a fan. The cheese was super tasty. I had the BYO burger with bacon & cheddar. I was thrilled to be asked how I wanted it cooked. I asked for mid-rare to medium. It came out mid-well to well. The side salad was fresh and a good size. Hubby had a Ceasar salad and added chicken. When it came out, it didn't look like it had much chicken on it, but the chicken was actually cut up and mixed all through, so Hubby was happy. We finished with what I thought was the star of the meal - a brownie sundae. Warm, soft brownie with chocolate chips, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry. Yum! This is definitely a place you go for the atmosphere and people. We'd go again, but probably more for a couple of beers.

After a terrible streak of maintenance issues causing these owners to have to shut the doors for 2 weeks, it's better than ever! Had a great BLT with broccoli, always friendly service from Jenell, Sindee, and Jenn, and refreshing cocktails early on Americas birthday!!! Thanks for everything ladies of Sloppy Seconds! This place is more than a bar and grille... they treat everyone like family. You will not be disappointed

For those that don't like the name and won't go because they think it's something they would not like are missing out. We were greeted as we walked in and we sat at a booth. Casual atmosphere. I ordered the Steak and Shrimp and my niece got the Chicken Tender Melt. I loved my food and it was the perfect amount for lunch. And a very reasonable price. My niece liked her food too.....I did try some fries and they were very good. There was some seasoning on them that made them not your ordinary fries. I would definitely go back. And it looks like they are starting trivia on some nights.

What a perfect name for this bar and grill because this place was our second (or maybe third) choice of places to grab food on a weeknight around 9:30 pm. Sloppy Seconds seems like a local spot where friends can meet up to grab a burger or a beverage or five. Even some of the regulars chatted with our table on and off during our meal. Our server (whose name I forget) was very nice and on point with bringing out our food and beverages. While the place is not super elaborative, it's a great place to wet your whistle, grab a bite, and watch sports.

Food is always fantastic. Their French fries are my favorite in Hampton Roads. Staff is always so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely return time and time again. The vibe is always perfect.

Went there on Christmas Eve. While the place had patrons, it was not swamped. We were seated and given menus however the server did to come back for at least 10 minutes and we had to 'flag' her down. She was too busy chit chatting with folks at another table. She actually rolled her eyes and acted annoyed when my boyfriend had to get up and waive to her. Then when we finally were served and done she took forever to bring the bill. The food was OK but not worth going back.

This is a new restaurant that took over Crazy Crab, and before that it was Woody's Bar & Grill. It wasn't busy at all, and had no problems being seated and placing our order right away. The décor is much better and could definitely be a great place to watch your favorite sports; there are TV's all throughout both the dining and bar area. Jenelle was our friendly server who was also working the bar. There weren't too many people there around lunch, but I'd imagine they'd have more people for happy hour, they have some amazing specials to take advantage of, and I believe it's pretty much all day from 11am-6pm. I had one of the best reuben sandwiches here for lunch. The nicely toasted sandwich was full of meat and the sauerkraut and dressing was the perfect touch. I was also impressed with their fries, reminds me of the fries from Rally's!

Just go! Great Sunday brunch and weeknight specials. My favorite is Thursday for $6 burgers (they are amazing, made to order) and cheap beers. Check out their website for other specials. You won't be disappointed. Did I mention the bar and waitstaff ROCK and kitchen staff is VERY accommodating with special requests?

You get a lot for your money. The service was friendly and it's a very laid back atmosphere. Definitely a great place for comfort food.

We stopped by and was immediately greeted and promptly served. We ordered two long island ice teas and we're surprised. The drinks were not just thrown together but a good recipe. The food was awesome and fresh. I had the double cheeseburger pictured and once I picked it up I didn't put it down till it was finished. We have added this place to our rotation of restaurants we favor. Thank you.

Sloppy Seconds Bar and Grill has all fun and flavor you could ask for! A great place to hang out and watch a game or just come out for some good food! I ordered the chicken wings and sweet potato fries and both items were excellent. The wings were crispy and had lots of flavor. The fries were the perfect texture and had crystallized salt on them, adding a sweet and salty taste to the meal. Definitely stop by sometime for a meal and you'll want to come backs

Found this place on Yelp. We went on New Year's Day, it was very quiet. We started with the crab dip, it was more cheese than anything. And let's be real, once you've had crab dip in Baltimore, it's never the same anywhere else. I got the Vegetarian Sloppy Seconds Signature Plate. It was good except I wish the patty was actually crumbled up like a normal sloppy joe would be. Our server was friendly and easy going.

We go for happy hours on Thursdays and you can't beat the prices. The burgers are great but they could use a few more hands, if your not in a rush you won't mind thi.

Super fun bar! Food and drinks came out fast. Live band on Saturday! I went there with 3 friends. It wasn't crazy packed but a good amount of people. We ordered beers, shots and appetizers. My friends ordered the mini pretzels and nacho cheese. That was yummy. I had ordered the charcuterie platter which was like $19? It was somewhat a let down. I honestly could have made it for half the price. I would definitely come again. It's my type of bar. Relaxed with live music but not too loud where you can talk to once another :)

Food and service are good, but it so noisy. It always sounds like everyone is yelling, it just echoes and bounces so bad. Add to that the unnecessary loud music that is loud, but barely decipherable amoung all the noise. They need to turn off the music, and add some sound dampening tiles to the ceiling to control things. I could barely here the waitress when placing my order, and had a headache before the food even arrived. I couldn't hear what the person across the table from me was saying the Maori of the time. Suggest going when the place is more empty. ​

Came here one other time and it was great. Today it was terrible. The food was okay except for the fact that I didnt get my correct wing flavor. Not to mention once we got our food our server never came back to give us more water or check on us. She was too busy talking to her regulars at the bar. My boyfriend also said when he went to the restroom it was disgusting. Never coming back.

...stopped on my way back to the hotel and it was $9.99 steak night. The steak was pretty good but the 16 ounce drafts are $6 which I thought was a bit steep. I must warn everybody that some of the guests drop the F-bomb pretty frequently...and the guys are worse...

We have been seeing this place for a few years now and decided to give it a try. Originally wanted wing stop right next to it but went here because we wanted to dine in. It looked like a chill Friday night, we got sat immediately. There was only one waitress at the time. We ordered chicken tenders and wings as an appetizer (did not get a photo of the wings). The chicken tenders were amazing, and so were the wings but the sauce we had with the wings was average. I believe we got garlic parmesan and added honey to it, which is a cool option they have for wing sauces. We spotted a cockroach near the TV earlier on but just brushed it off. We got our food which tasted amazing. I got the death by burger which is a big ass burger topped off with their homemade sloppy joe meat. Lani got the cowboy burger which comes with bbq sauce, cheddar cheese, and an onion ring on it. Half way into our meal, the cockroach came to the wall next to us, and when we got our servers attention, it was on our table. We moved tables and once we were done, the server came out and apologized and gave us our meal + to go for free. Other than the cockroach trying to intrude on our dinner date, this place is a must try! It's been in here for 4ish years I believe, and the food is was honestly good.

This is a small business restaurant. So cute. They have music bingo night, karaoke night, Trivia night. It's so much fun. Also with wing night and burger night. You'll have to stop by for your self and check it out. Food it so delicious! If you get the chicken melt make sure to ask for a side of Hot wing sauce. My husband is INLOVE with it!

the food was trash and it was cold th e fries were frozen and the worst thing wa that she opened the straws for us Al ready in cups and before we drank them it looked like someone out there mounts in it and are waiter smelled like smoke

Took my sister here for her birthday and it didn't disappoint. We were both craving burgers and she had the BYO and I had the Death by Burger. My sister kept saying how good hers was and mine was equally good. Service was quick and on point. We got there early eve on a Saturday night and no wait at all. Waitress was friendly and made sure we were taken care of. My burger was pretty decent sized and I wasn't able to finish it. As always I cut it in half, ate half and all of my fries. Was surprised to see that they charged me $.25 for a to-go styrofoam container. It's only a quarter but I thought how cheap and tacky. We had a decent sized bill with food and drinks (and shots) for 2 people and u couldn't eat the $.25?? I docked a star for that. I probably won't go back unless invited. Food was good, but not super great and to charge me for a to-go container was a little annoying.
