Staffs have smiley face and very cheerful. Food : Shrimp & salmon taste good. I expect it would be brown bread, but it is a piece of thin white bread. Salmon makes the bread too wet Beef tart tart is great . the one with heavy cheese also put white bread on bottom. It should be better to be brown bread instead. Place is cozy and feel some history behind which is nice. Price is ok vs qualify but wish they can put more brown bread instead of white bread more.

Either this place is massively overpriced, or they scammed us. I'm aware that due to high salaries and taxes eating out is more expensive than in most places in Europe, but this was on another level, 3 smørrebrød for 380dkk is just ridiculous

Crowded to the point of packed, unlikely to get a seat without reservation. Service was good but slow because of the crowd. Traditional taste and presentation. Reasonably priced. Recommended for the vibe.

Whenever I am in Copenhagen, I visit this genuine and charming Danish open sandwiches restaurant. I have been coming here for about 30 years, and I have never been disappointed. You have a choice of approximately 60 different sandwiches consisting of one small slice of rye bread topped with a mountain of whatever takes your fancy. We Scandinavians start with fish: pickled herring, prawns, salmon or smoked halibut (I normally choose two or three different types). Then you can have e.g. steak tartar, roast beef, ham, Dyrlaegerens Natmad (liver mousse with thin slices of salt beef, aspic and raw onion), ox tongue etc., and you can finish with a warm sandwich with plaice and Danish tartar sauce (remoulade), Danish hamburger (hakkebøf) with a fried egg on top or roast pork. Scandinavians drink aquavit and beer with this food. Afterwards, you can have coffee with kransekage (small cake made with marzipan) and a glass of Calvados. Highly recommended!

Great authentic experience and nice danish traditional food. And great service. A must try in Denmark

This is probably not for everyone. It's a traditional Danish dining experience with snaps, øl, and smørebrød. Best of its kind.

Traditional Danish Food! I love this place😍sit down take the weight off choose a lovely open sandwich, or 2? Tip: this time of the year order the "Christmas Beer" it's a Tuborg special only out for 8weeks approx. No menu just have a look on the main table they explain what's in each sandwich and away you go. Really relaxing, no hurrying you. Nice helpful polite staff. Nothing is too much. I could spend all afternoon chilling/chatting. I think the place dates back to around 1800's to nice bit of history😊

A bit disappointing because the salmon was not good (dried and little hard) Also, there is no menu which I am okay with that. But the food is wrapped in plastic with no price tag and even label showing what it is.
