Slowpokes is a local gem! Conveniently located with a cool, laid-back, slightly hipster vibe, it’s the kind of place you want to hang out in. The coffee is consistently excellent, the service is super friendly, and the atmosphere is always inviting. This spot just keeps delivering. Five stars all the way!

First visit here. Popped in on a Friday morning with my daughter to have a little productivity time and grab some caffeine and a little breakfast. She always gets a white mocha and I tried the Obe latte. We also got their spinach and feta kolache as they were out of the turkey, egg, and cheese ones. The cilantro sauce that comes with it is the best cilantro sauce I think I've ever tried. The Obe latte was delicious. I did have the option for oat milk. The service was great. We didn't have to wait a long time. The cafe was buzzing but it wasn't too loud. People coming and going. Nice spot for a quick coffee date

Slowpokes lives up to its name — both in the best and not-so-best ways. The coffee is always good, and the staff is genuinely friendly. The shop has plenty of seating and good vibes, but most of the chairs are fixed without backs. That means the few tables with benches and back support are usually taken, leaving the rest a bit uncomfortable if you’re hoping to really settle in. Service is consistently slow, no matter the location. Even if we’re the only ones in line, there’s always a wait for drinks. That said, it’s still a nice spot with a warm atmosphere, good coffee, and a laid-back feel — just don’t come here in a rush or expecting to “post up” comfortably for long.

Very popular Saturday afternoon. Most seats dont have outlets. Fans are running on the ceiling on a freezing cold day. Food is decent, not amazing. Coffee is good. Staff are nice. Not an ideal workplace but if you just hang out with people then it's okay. The best thing is that they open late.

Everytime I come the service is so wonderful ! Kind workers and the drinks are well crafted. Never a problem for adjustments and it always feels warm and welcoming !

I love this place sooooo much that I get upset when I can’t go… like how do u make a drink out of sweet potatoes and it tastes so good and then there is so much other stuff on the menu that I haven’t tried… omg

I absolutely love Slowpokes! The vanilla latte is really good, not that sweet. The hummus plate is a great snack option, especially if you come in a big group. Creamy hummus and fresh veggies, it's a good combination. But the real star of the show for me is the BST sandwich. The bacon, spinach, and tomato come together in a delicious way, and the bread was perfectly toasted. Each bite is a flavor explosion in my mouth. The atmosphere is calming and inviting. Great spot to unwind with a book or catch up with a friend.

Congrats to Slowpokes on opening up another location! The coffee is incredible! Love the consistency. The location itself is great with the coffee shop being well maintained and kept clean at all times. The seating is fixed and not adjustable so it’s not very friendly for the larger coffee lovers. Biggest gripe is that there isn’t many places to charge up your devices except in the booths. Can be very challenging if they’re all being occupied as was the case when we arrived but were soon able to sit in a booth when someone left. TLDR: Coffee/Drinks/food is GREAT.

The service was amazing and the food was delightful. Served hot and fresh. The Macha is really nice and the tea was amazing.

I really liked this place. I got the with love and it was so good. The chocolate croissant was also really good. There's ample seating inside. The WiFi is only 2 hours per receipt, which to me makes sense. The only only thing I hated, it was freezing inside for me. Parking was ample in the lot.

Really nice drinks. Their signature drink with less caramel drizzle was perfect! Ambience was nice as well.

I wanted to get some work done on my laptop. I ordered an iced mocha. A large one will set you back $7. You get two hours of free Wi-Fi. After two hours, you must purchase something to get access again. I didn't know they also have wine. I saw some folks at the bar sharing a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board. Bathrooms are co-ed. While the space is spacious, there were lots of folks with laptops and using the electrical outlets.

Pretty chill spot Parking: The lot is a bit small but I was able to get a spot with no issue. Seating: There was plenty of seating but a lot of it was on taller stool-type chairs. Luckily there was one booth left with seats at normal height Food: I had the avocado flat bread. It was good but didn't blow my mind . I felt the same way about the iced latte I got Staff: I only interacted with the person who took my order and she was nice Overall this satisfied my need - a place to kill an hour and recharge - but really didn't make much of an impression on me. It was chill and quiet. Seemed like a good place to study

I love Slowpokes across all their locations! I tried their salted caramel latte (free promotion for breast cancer awareness month) and it was delicious! Not that sweet and the saltiness complimented the coffee. I also enjoy their Purple Rain drink!

This is my favorite location of Slowpokes in the Houston area. The parking is easy, the space is good sized, & the staff is friendly. I like that there's beverages other than coffee on the menu (teas, lemonades, beer, and wine), along with snacks and some baked goods. The stools facing the windows are a nice spot to watch some cars go by. There are quite a few spots with outlets for those who need to charge up. I enjoy the atmosphere and it isn't overly noisy most days. They do a great job making my drinks whether iced or hot, and have a self-help water station too. A few of my must-have items while there include their flatbreads, danishes, and sandwiches. They also offer a small happy hour menu so be to sure to check it out! It's a good spot to enjoy some me time or meet up with a friend.

I had only been to the Slowpokes at Levy Park, and while I always had a positive experience at that location, this location is more convenient The exterior might not look like much, but as you enter the coffee shop you walk into a trendy and relaxing space. I love the decor, furniture, and art The staff are very skilled and friendly. You don't have to wait at the counter for your food/drinks. They give you a number, and they will bring out your order This is a perfect spot to chill, read a book, catching up with friends, or get some work done. The Slowpokes coffee shops are also very dog friendly and accommodating Their menu is big and clearly written behind the register and coffee bar. There are plenty of classic drinks, signature and seasonal offerings, as well as snack and breakfast items Some tips: The ube latte is always delicious. I also think they make one of the better flat whites in the city. If you're hungry, the everything bagel dog is very tasty Cheers!!

Got a ube vanilla latte decaf and tried my friends banana matcha. Both were good but I wouldn't come out of my way to get again. Private parking lot and plenty of seating. They have an alcoholic drink menu and happy hour, would be interested in trying those and their food items.

I got the ube vanilla latte and it was good! The flavors were subtle and if you're looking for something not too sweet, it is perfect for you. The vanilla was not as apparent so I would add an extra pump if you wanted more sweetness. The service was great and quick and I got a discount for being a healthcare worker! The inside was very chill and a great place to hang with friends.

Came here to study between exams this past rainy Tuesday. I'm going to admit it doesn't have much seating. The back wall has the single seating with the plugs with the rest of the place either being 4 tops or bar stool diner style seating. I ordered the honey latte and added vanilla. It was pretty good and so were the breakfast tacos. The breakfast tacos come as vegetarian but you can request to add bacon which I did and I requested the cilantro creama which was delicious. I just wish the sauce cup was larger. They bring the food out to you which is nice and they have self serve water cups. Now for the WiFi, your WiFi code is your order number and total and it's only good for two hours. After two hours you have to purchase something else to keep using it. They do have a lunch menu, a bar and cookies/pastries so this shouldn't be an issue to most. The music can be a little loud but otherwise I wasn't too bothered and was able to study and get what I needed done. The parking lot had plenty of parking as well

Great spot with good coffee! Typical prices you'd find nearby. Service is friendly & quick. Ambiance can be loud, but there are also plenty of people getting their work done (as I did)

Another great find! We went to the medical center for a Dr appointment and wanted coffee but not big box and we searched something nearby and this came up. We said why not? (Sorry no photos) but the menu is extensive for a coffee shop with breakfast; pastries; flatbreads; and I love the mascots! A sloth, turtle and snail! And the coffee; I got a hot latte and my son and iced latte (lavender honey) and both were so smooth and delicious as well as not too sweet... we actually tasted the coffee which had a nice balance and smooth finish. The dude behind the counter; awesome! Lively and fun personality came through and just made us want to hang out and stay. The interior, welcoming with bar stool seating as well as tables. Planning on going back this weekend for another cup and to try some food items.

Slowpokes has extensive options for coffee, tea, food, and other drinks. Although it was crowded, it was a nice spot to catch up with friends and study after school. My drink was prepared quickly and thoughtfully. I tried the cold brew with pumpkin cold foam - and it was great! Just as good or better than Starbucks.

Really enjoyed my Monday morning being a slowpoke at Slowpokes. I love that no one rushes you out and you can enjoy your meal, coffee and get work done. The golden latte was very good with a nice balance between honey and cinnamon. The biscuit sandwich was crumbly and so soft. It really tasted like you were biting into a pillow. The spicy jam is a 10/10. All of the staff were really nice and the barista helped me choose my coffee and meal. He gave great recommendations.

Got the "with love" latte. It's not sweet, which is what I was looking for. It had a lot of cinnamon and honey was the sweetener. I'll rate it 4/5. It stayed fairly busy with people coming in and out this Saturday's afternoon. Not that many power outlets. Restrooms are clean. Service was decent. They do have a couple of board games like connect 4, etc.

Good coffee, and a nice study spot. Refreshing cafe. Service staff are friendly and we got our drinks quick. The food options are not many though. Drinks all seem very tasty.

The coffee was great, and service was quick. The place is pretty nice and on theme with the slowpokes name. The only downside is that the wifi only works for two hours and make sure to keep your receipt to connect to it. This makes it a less ideal coffee shop to study or do work in.

This is a decent place to hang out or study. The staff at this location are really friendly and funny, so you just feel welcome right away. The menu is extensive and there's plenty of drinks to try. It's sometimes hard to get a parking spot in the parking lot, and it's even harder to get a seat with an outlet nearby - I haven't managed to achieve that yet despite coming here several times. The WiFi has a 2 hour time limit per purchase anyway, so it hasn't been too troublesome.

Love love love slowpokes! It's a very relaxing spot with great food and drinks! The service is always great. I recommend visiting with friends or for a study session.

If you find yourself in the West U area, this Slowpokes location is worth checking out if you're looking for a chill place to meet someone and chat or if you're looking to get work done. Service has always been friendly and they try to quickly get your orders out. One time I did ask to customize my bagel and they did it with no issues, so I'm grateful for that. :) I have tried their purple rain, which is basically an iced ube latte. When the right person makes it, it tastes great - good balance between ube and espresso. However I've had it one time where it didn't taste as good, so it depends on who makes it. The bagel wasn't terrible, but I'm from Jersey and I have high standards when it comes to bagels lol. I've only been here in the early morning for a quick coffee run so I can't really judge how their alcoholic drinks are or how all their food items taste. I do see that they have happy hour available starting at 4pm until close. They have rotating beers and some wine selections. Good amount of seating available, mostly bar chair seating. I love how there are little hooks under all the tables to hang anything you want to. There are games available to play with friends. Parking is decent however there are other businesses that may end up filling the spaces quickly. Overall, would recommend this coffee shop and happy to see locations growing across Houston.

Service was great. Vibes and ambience were really good, including the music. They also had plenty of seating for working or hanging out. I went for a Matcha latte with oat milk and sf vanilla syrup, iced. This was my first time here, so I was giving it a try because I really had a taste for a Matcha. Although they had really nice service, the Matcha was not good. Honestly it just tasted like oat milk that happened a to be green. I hate that I wasted my money on it. I'm a matcha connoisseur and this just missed the mark. I'm not a coffee drinker, so I was excited to try it but that didn't go as planned either. Great service though!

I think I'm slowly making my way round to every single Slowpokes location in Houston, lol! This location was nice! My drink was good, service was excellent, and ambiance was nice as usual.

I had never been to this location and it was a good choice for sure! The service overall pretty good; we were welcomed by the cashier when we came in and gave us suggestions to cater what we were craving at the moment. The ambiance and setting of the place was also great! Its a small place but really clean, decluttered, simple but welcoming. Background soft music but not like sleepy music lol The food was great too! We got the pomberry tea and slowpoke cream soda... both really good and refreshing; we also had the hummus plate (half price during happy hour) and it was very fresh, good flavor and very generous portion. The pricing for each item-portion was also fantastic. We are surely coming back!

Used to love this place but as of late it's been a hit or miss with the baristas. When I came in today the person just stared at me. No greeting, no asking if I had a questions, just what did I want to order. I asked if they were doing ok, so maybe they were just having an off day. I also notice that it's not consistent with who they choose to say goodbye to. What I've ordered lately (typically one of their seasonal drinks) hasn't been the best either -- way too sweet or overly bland. With their drinks being on the pricier side (not uncommon of course) and other places opening up in the area I'd say give this place a shot if you want to take a gamble.

Very good food and drinks. Sandwiches are spectacular. My only complaint is the are slow pokes! Very slow and not always accurate service.

Peeps. I checked them out last night. Staff was real cool and the set up reminds me of a college coffee shop. The coffee was fresh. My wishlist: That they stayed open later, had love seats and couches, less hard chairs and stationary tables, and dropped the lights a little. But. Check them out and tell them #Pkast sent you.

Welcoming and fun atmosphere that's not over the top. Fun yet peaceful lunch with a great nitro cold brew and a delicious craft sandwich, the BST. Service was fast, friendly, and professional. There's even board games if you plan to stay for a while. I'll be back next time I'm in town!

I HAD THE BEST ALMOND CROISSANT EVER HERE!!! So good warmed up Coffee is also great. Inside is cute and they have lots of seating. Prices are okay. Could be better but so good doesn't matter. Service super fast and nice. Definitely coming back.

Soooo happy to have a location in West U! Lots of seating indoor and out, plenty of parking, and the same delicious menu. I've loved everything I've gotten from here. I particularly enjoy the matcha latte and breakfast bagel. I also ordered a breakfast taco last time I was there and was disappointed in its size and how plain it was. You can definitely find much better tacos at many other locations for the same price. However, I'm not going to dock it for that, since Slowpokes is known for its beverages anyway.

I had an amazing experience at this location! I come here quite often and I'm always so impressed with the staff in the coffee. Connor especially was so nice to me today while making my drink. Give him a raise!! Overall, if y'all are not coming here, you are truly missing out!

Upscale trendy coffee shop downtown. Excellent wifi. It was very crowded around 11 and difficult to hear over the piped in music. Also features outside seating area. Breakfast biscuit and latte were delicious.

I love this place but I'm not sure if it wasn't a great day for the staff or the quality of this place is going down. I asked for a strawberry matcha and this is my drink... then as I was leaving I noticed they had Hershey's strawberry and chocolate syrup on the shelves. This is disappointing because I have spent so much money here and to add syrups or alternative milks are pricey. Then to learn they are using store bought syrups instead of creating their own is upsetting.

I got the rose-pistachio latte and it was delicious. It is on the sweeter end (which they warned me about and so I asked for slightly less sweet) which may be why I don't necessarily get too much rose or pistachio flavor... but great coffee. I got the milk switched to almond milk which was an additional $1. The bagel dog was a great snack that complimented the coffee. Service was prompt and I got my coffee right away. Ambiance is really nice with lots of seating available to do work/read/hang out.

So disappointing. I assumed this was a safe choice because of good reviews. Breakfast was, in a word, NASTY. World's worst "kolache" (a hunk of meat with thin pastry around it. I also had some flatbread/breakfast pizza concoction with avocado and egg that was flavorless and cold. Hard pass for me in the future.

I have been here a few times and even though the shop is usually empty, it takes forever to get my drink. The lattes here taste watered down and aren't as good as other Slowpokes locations. I ordered kolaches and noticed HAIR on them right when I looked in the bag. This is so unsanitary and disgusting. I had to throw away my food.

Great atmosphere for studying, the playlist here is good too. Ube latte was surprisingly very good. Since it's a root plant, i didn't expect much sweetness from it, but it gives the coffee and sweet, unique flavor to the latte, would recommend giving it a try. A thing to consider is that you need to purchase something in order to access the wi-fi, and there is a 2 hr time limit to use it. This could be a con, but it seemed to help me be more productive and get more work done. Overall, if you're looking for a place w decent amount of seating, good coffee, quiet chatter and music, and to be productive, you should try this place out.

First time visiting a Slowpokes location and I was very impressed. The coffee is great, and I love the overall vibe of the place. Can't wait to come back to try other options. Also, I really appreciated the barista giving me their personal recommendation. I liked the white rabbit latte I got (strawberry and white mocha seasonal menu item).

The hummus platter was very good. Clean restrooms with baby changing tables. Four of us slurped up a couple iced honey pea lattes, one Reese's latte and a mocha latte.

The chicken pesto is the best thing on the menu. Their vanilla latte is one of the best in Houston. 10/10 would come again

Yay! Just stopped in at the new Slowpokes on Stella Link for wine happy hour, which is from 4-close every day! The barista (Elizabeth) was so nice. We got a cauliflower crust flat bread (yay, gluten free!) a healthy wine pour, and some coffee. Their options are awesome for all ages, so go give 'em some love! ‍

I ordered a nitro brew coffee with an extra shot of espresso, which was pretty strong. I ordered a simple green clean wrap for a snack, which was good as well. The employees were quick and fast. The atmosphere is nice with good vibes.

Great coffee but you need more than one barista. From the time I got in line to the time I got my flat white it was half an hour. 30 minutes for a single flat white. I understand it was busy but that is unacceptable.

Really like this location! The staff was friendly, the space is clean and just a great place to study or chill. Their empanadas are really good. We got the board and bottle special for $25 - they give you bread that tastes like a pretzel which I found pretty unique. I also really like their iced vanilla latte, the coffee is smooth and so delicious. Slowpokes has definitely become one of our favorite cafe chains!

I had a cookie and coffee. I enjoyed the atmosphere and coffee. Service was nice . Great pls to work so will be back
