Slurpin Ramen Bar - 8th St

This place has some very good ramen and their broth is really flavorful. I always get the Chashu or Chicken Breast Tonkotsu (Pork Broth) and like adding in Egg, Crunch Onion & Garlic, Bamboo Shoots, Bean Sprouts, Shiitake Mushrooms, and Spicy Umami Oil. Very very good and I like their noodles! I also like their Kimchi and the fried chicken bites aren't bad. This is definitely a good spot for some good ramen :)

Ever since I was first introduced to Slurpin Ramen, they have been on my top 3 ramen spots. Their tonkotsu broth with fatty pork is phenomenal and is exactly what I am craving for when I want ramen. Level one is the perfect amount of flavor while level two gives a little more kick without overstaying it's welcome. Slurpin is one of the places that set the bar for comparison when it comes to ramen, especially in LA. I would highly recommend checking out Slurpin Ramen Bar and I will definitely be back.

A ramen spot with an amazing atmosphere! The music they play really sets the mood. The Tonkatso broth is amazing! This is definitely a craft ramen spot. I ordered the Pro bowl with the spice on the side. I recommend having the spice sent out on the side because they'll automatically add it to the bowl if you don't. The spice was very savory and not too hot. I loved the flavor it brought to the Ramen. The bulgogi egg rolls have savory and sweet jalapeños. So it adds a lot of flavor on top of the already delicious bulgogi. I'll be a regular here from now on. The staff was friendly and professional!

i love the Ramen place, which i can have options to choose spicy level and the ramen portions, The soup doesn't look spicy at all,but it was spicy! in a good way :) there were lunch combo,you can have one appetizer adding $4, it was amazing!

Ordered a side of Takoyaki and a Regular Ramen with Chashu and Spice Level 1 Mild. The takoyaki were a nice bite size portion each, 8 in total, warm and creamy, topped with bonita flakes and lots of sauce. There might be a little too much sauce but it's still quite nice. The Ramen was alright for a regular portion. I could not distinguish the noodle quantity to the Small portion and they felt very similar despite different bowl sizes. There is quite a lot of broth and it's good enough to fill up for a late night stomach. Area is pretty busy and picks up in the later hours too, spots open up sooner along the walls versus tables.

This place is in our top 3 ramen places. the meal: I got the Slurpin Ramen mild ($16). The broth was rich, flavorful and delicious. I loved the quality of the noodles. They were not too thick or starchy. I had the pork and added an egg (+$2). The pork was juicy with just the right amount of fat. The egg yolk was cooked almost solid. I loved him. The bulgogi egg rolls ($10) were delicious. Don't bother with the nacho cheese. It worked well with the jalapeños. It's definitely a try. We also had the beef gyoza/potstickers ($8) which were delicious. Service and Environment: The service was very good. Our waiter was very considerate of our daughters allergies. We were able to walk in and be seated, although other reviews have said there is usually a wait. We liked the seating arrangement, and there are hooks for your bags under the table. There is a huge window facing the street and the light enhances the atmosphere. It will be a place to eat with friends in a group of 2-6 people. Also good for couples.

Loved how rich and creamy the bone broth was! Some might think it’s not the most authentic kind, but I did enjoy their ramen (yep, especially the broth) A great option in K-town if you’re craving non-Korean food, side dishes were good too. I would recommend giving it a try!

It was really nice to see a ramen resto open til late at night. Very appropriate for a late warm dinner. The parking area had valet, so you can go in asap and look for a seat, and the food we ordered came out so quickly.

Staff is fast and efficient. I got the slurping ramen - pro level. I got the super spicy. It wasn't the spiciest but would be too spicy for western standards.

The okay: the ramen tasted average for the $20 price point (per bowl). You can order it pretty bare for $16 but it doesn't make it anything special. To add things like the egg, mushrooms, corn, etc... they are all al a carte. The service was quick as it wasn't busy at all. The bad: it is unfortunate that the entire neighborhood surrounding the business is covered in graffiti. The bathrooms are riddled with graffiti. You know it's bad when they have a sign on the bathroom door: "please no vandalism." I've had multiple ramen spots and came here for the close to 6k yelp reviews. This will be one of the few times where I'm curious why it has such a high rating. There is nothing that really sets this spot apart from the next place you can find down the street.

One of my absolute favorite restaurants in the LA area! Even though I used to live in West LA, where there is also a lot of ramen spots as well, I'd still regularly make the drive to Ktown to eat here. Open late night, and extremely quick service! Nothing hits like a hot, fresh bowl of ramen to end the day, the vibes of the restaurant are to come in for a quick meal, not so much a spot to sit and chat. Check in on Yelp for free toppings :) and check/join the Yelp waitlist before hand since it can get pretty packed. The price of the base ramen is amazing bang for your buck in my opinion, and I like this style of being able to choose my own toppings and customize as I'd like. Some of my favorites are the egg, veggies, and the crispy pork if I'm extra hungry! Their takoyaki and sesame chicken are good but nothing too special for me, the ramen here is definitely the star of the show. Will keep coming back here whenever I'm in town!

First time trying Ramen and this was a really good choice. Friendly staff, seated quickly and food came out pretty fast. Nice inside and all long tables for sitting. Our Serve was nice and helpful when asking what would be the best for newbies to have. Definitely coming back. If you're around give this place a try.

The portion size was fair for the price, but I'd recommend adding extra meat for a better comparison with other ramen places. I was looking for a place to eat after seeing a concert at The Wiltern and this ramen place came up and it was within walking distance. It's about a ten minute walk from the venue and I felt safe walking there late at night because there were a lot of people still out. I got there around 11pm and it was pretty busy but I got seated right away. I ordered the slurpin ramen with chashu and if you check in on Yelp you get a free topping which I did and got an egg. The broth tasted really good and it had a good amount of chashu. Overall, a great place to go for ramen late at night since they close at 1am.

Was craving noodles late night and then appear randomly. I was skeptical because the name slurping Ramen was like a little weird but honestly, this was one of the best Ramen I've ever had. The soup flavor was divine. Service was very attentive. We got seated right away. Vibe is fast casual but it's really dark lighting so it's kind of moody, very loud. I'd come back here if I was craving Ramen for sure.

Solid ramen spot in Ktown! We got the regular ramen and takoyaki. Since we checked in on Yelp, we managed to get two free toppings (which was such a nice gesture!). Ramen (with a soft boiled egg, broccoli, and mushrooms) was delicious--very rich broth and the noodles soaked up all the liquid super well. The takoyaki was a bit mushy for my liking and the exterior wasn't as crispy as I wanted, but there were quite a few pieces of octopus inside I also appreciated that this place was open late (we arrived close to 10/11pm on a weekend). Service was fast and everyone was very welcoming

Slurpin Ramen Bar is an underrated spot with one of THE BEST LA Ramen. I highly prefer the fatty pork over the chashu because the fatty pork was way more tender and it melted in your mouth. The chashu takes a few more chews to really dissolve. I've only needed to walk in to this restaurant but it is getting more popular so a reservation might be a good move too. The service is fast. The ambiance could be better but it's decent enough for a fast bite. There's bar sitting near with windows but it overlooks the street. I liked sitting in the standard seating more than the window bar.

Great service! We were seated promptly upon arrival (8:15 on a Saturday night). Waitstaff very available and attentive. Food did not take long at all to come out. Good broth, amazing noodles. Will definitely be back. Only downside: parking is near impossible to find on the street and it's valet only in the shopping center.

The ramen here is super flavorful especially when you add toppings. The only thing I noticed that is inconsistent would be the spice level. When I ordered the spiciest level dining in the restaurant, I didn't taste much spice at all. When I order the ramen with the same spice level on uber eats, it is very spicy the way I prefer it.

Go this spot to go and it's so good - it took about 15-20 minutes for my order. Got the slurpin ramen regular and spicy both hit the spot! Parking is free but it does get crowded depending on what time you go.

Solid service and a great experience overall! I paid $16 for a regular-sized ramen with three meat options to choose from. I went with the fatty pork, which was delicious, and you can also choose your spice level. I opted for the highest spice level but didn't find it spicy. The chicken was decent on its own, but it tasted so much better with the sauce. The food was really good, and the ambiance was cool--definitely a nice spot to check out. One downside was that the seating wasn't the most comfortable, but it didn't take away from the experience. The staff were all super friendly and attentive, making it a pleasant visit. I'd definitely recommend it! The parking situation, however, is a bit of a hassle. It's plaza parking, but there are attendants charging $3, and finding free parking nearby is nearly impossible unless you're lucky enough to snag a spot on the street.

I decided to come here for a nice lunch before a shopping trip based on the Yelp reviews for ramen in LA. When pulling into the plaza, it is a small lot however I was able to find parking pretty easy. When walking in, the staff is very friendly and resourceful. After glancing over the menu, I saw that they had a lunch combo where you can get an appetizer, ramen, and a salad. As it was my first time here, I asked the server what they recommended and they said, if I like seafood go with the softshell crab, especially since it was a good lunch deal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very chill. It was pretty laidback there weren't too many people there so I enjoyed the ambience especially since I got to look at the street view. The salad came out first and it was really good. It had a homemade ginger sauce, and the veggies were crisp and fresh. Next the appetizer came out, which was a softshell crab. This was two pieces with a sauce and it was fresh like it was just caught, fried, and presented to me. I really enjoyed the crispy crunch of the batter. Lastly, I got the veggie Ramen, which came with two additional toppings, because if you check in on yelp, you can opt in for two free toppings, or a soda! The Ramen was so good, not too thin not too thick of a noodle. The broth is a mushroom base, which gives it really good Unami flavor. With veggies including, cherry tomato, mushroom, corn, bean sprouts, and broccoli - this bowl of Ramen can be very filling! I also like that you can choose your own spice level to kick it up a notch. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here for lunch. Whenever I travel back to LA I definitely will make a visit here.

*Notice* It is a large parking lot but it is $3 to park inside. Make sure you pull up and pay the guy then let him know where you are visiting. Sometimes they can guide you to a better spot. Took a friend for soup and we enjoyed two bowls of ramen. I ate the regular pork with two additions medium spicy. My friend ate the Pro with corn. Both bowls were savory. The original with spice had a nice kick to it but the flavor was a little milder. The Pro bowl had a defined pork broth flavor. I would suggest getting the bowl without spice and adding it to your palette. I ordered a large sake which is enough for two people if you just want to sip. For appetizer, the garlic edamame. It exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed all the flavor explosion I experienced. The waiters were prompt, attentive and constantly circling around so you can always get help. It was soft chatter in the room so you were able to have a conversation and hear it. The seating... uhh, not so great for your back if you slump. Make sure you go in ready to eat and sit up straight!

Came by on a Friday night and it wasn't too crowded. They offer Yelp waitlist at this location, and the service was pretty quick. They have 3 or 4 long tables where you can come with a big group, or they'd have you sit with other parties. I ordered the 12oz. Small Slurpin' Ramen and it was the perfect size. I loved their noodles-very thing like somen noodles. If you check in, they offer you a free fountain drink, 1 $2 topping, or 2 $1 toppings!

Came here on a Friday evening around 9 pm. We circled the blocks a few times on the off-chance we'd find a spot but ended up doing the convenient $3 valet instead (they also accept venmo if you don't have cash). We were greeted and seated immediately, after they asked whether we wanted window or table view. We chose table so we could face each other as the window view was bar-style seating. The inside was surprisingly more spacious that I expected. A decent amount of seating and most of it taken with groups already there. Me, my boyfriend, and my friend all got the small size of the slurpin ramen with chashu. I got it spicy, with a $2 marinated soft boiled egg. The food was out quickly. It was delicious! Very creamy rich broth, not too salty. The egg was cooked perfectly and was a must. The noodles were excellent, still had some bounce and weren't too soft. The chashu was soft and flavorful. The serving size was perfect for us as we intended to get drinks after. I would definitely get the regular if I'd want to be absolutely stuffed! The service was extremely friendly. Would definitely come back, some of the best ramen I've had around here!

Tonkatsu ramen 5/5 - the ramen is always so good here. Soup is flavorful and rich. I like how they have the option to do a Yelp checkin for free two toppings! Parking here is difficult bc the lot is small. During the day there isn't valet but at night it is valet only.

First off, the parking situation is kinda confusing. It seems like a normal parking lot in a plaza but then there's valet parking but that seems to take too long so we just parked the car on our own. Not sure if that was valid but if they want this parking lot to be valet or at least mark certain spots in the parking lot as valet if they want that option. This is a small restaurant but they do try their best to add as much seating as possible so there are plenty of tables that are cramped together and a bar like seating option near the windows. This would've been a lovely view or people watching seat but sadly there's graffiti vandalism over the windows. The ramen was tasty and it was quite good. You got a lot of food in a regular small bowl. They also give you a ton of toppings. If you check in on Yelp, you get two free toppings. There are signs throughout the restaurant that tells you about this deal. It's strange you have to pay for toppings instead of the ramen having everything to begin with. I got bean sprouts and mushrooms and they give you a lot of toppings. Toppings were just okay. I could do without. I would probably opt for additional meat instead of adding toppings.

First time here and Food was amazing and staff were nice and polite. We sat at the sushi bar and it was comfortable and cozy.

tbh i don't understand all the high praise i see here for the vegan ramen.. it tasted bland to me, i asked for very spicy and it was like i told them to hold the spice i don't expect ramen to be the healthiest dish nor do i want it to be but this tasted like it was just deprived of what i could be it was all vegetables, clear broth, and no protein it was an additional $3 for tofu it really wasn't a fulfilling bowl and my bf liked his chashu tonkotsu bowl, but felt like there could've been more meat and that an egg should be an automatic in a ramen bowl and not an extra charge

The best way I can describe this place is that it's perfect just okay. Nothing to praise, nothing to complain. Nothing notable in general.

Came really late- 12-1 am after zedd in the park. It was so soothing rlly hit the spot. Broth was really rich and I love the sizing / price transparency. I really liked the lime in the tsukemen. Outside is a little off putting and confusing, but the inside is really cool and very nice. We were able to get seated, ordered, and received our food super fast as it wasn't that busy late at night. Servers were really nice too

It was my first time here & I have to say the food was awesome!! Definitely worth trying out! I asked the server what the best appetizer was and he said the Sesame Chicken was the best... Boy he was not kidding!! Prices are what you expect to pay for ramen but WELL WORTH IT! 10/10 Place was clean and the atmosphere was such a vibe. Servers are super nice and chill. Late night hunger and not many ramen places were open so we decided on Slurpin. It was near 11:30 PM and the place was busy so I was hopeful that the food would be good. We ordered garlic edamame and 4 bowls of tonkotsu ramen. Service was quick and food came out within 10 minutes. Staff were friendly. Parking in their lot was $3. On to the food, garlic edamame was delicious with the spicy kick expected from garlic sauce. However, we were underwhelmed from the flavor of the broth. It was kinda bland for tonkotsu. Noodles were good texture but the broth just didn't do it for us. We just came back from Japan and maybe our expectations were unfair? Positive points are that they open late and prices are fair.

I came in 7/16/18 Monday night, immediately sat down, water was quickly served to myself and my bf. I ordered a small spicy ramen chicken bowl w corn, crispy onion, and a egg on the side. It. Was. Amazing. Noodles and egg cooked just right and the broth DELICIOUS. The service was amazing on top of that. I would recommend and will be back.
