Smalls Sliders

Meat was hard, thin, cold and crunchy.. Tasted burnt and reheated.. Was only given a handful of fries, very soggy. Tiny piece of hair was in the box, my hair is not black so I know it wasn’t me or anyone around me. I wanted too like Smalls :( I wish it was better. Very pricey as well which makes everything even more worse.

They are always very nice in the drive thru, super fast, and they always get my order right. As soon as I posted that review, they forgot my sauce on the side and I dropped my single slider. Went back to get another one, took a while and they put cheese after I asked for no cheese. Had to go back a third time, and when I went to the walk up window, they gave me ANOTHER one with cheese, so having to go through this a 4th time. Tonight, the slider was good, but the fries tasted very rubbery. One time I came and I didn’t realize till we got home with the food, but they charged us $6 for a queso we never ordered, so that was pretty upsetting, but other than that, they are typically pretty good, service and taste wise.

First time trying the sliders here. I most definitely will return. The service was fast and the young lady taking my order was very friendly. A satisfying portion for the price. There could be a little more sauce on thr sliders. Not sure if it's an option, that I could ask for more sauce. Overall, I will be returning if I want a decent bite to eat for whichever time of day that I have a craving.

Omg this new packaging, these juicy burgers (with bacon), and this queso…did I mention the queso!!! Don’t forget the king cake shake!!!

10/10 Would Recommend! Add the bacon & get a side of the sauce. Sliders have a good amount of dill pickles, soft brioche bun - lightly toasted, melty cheese, good sauce, crispy patty. Extremely Delicious. The seasoned fries are AMAZING!

Love the atmosphere and idea that Smalls seems to be presenting. This was my first time going today. I’m the coach of a middle school soccer team and it always hard trying to find accommodations to feed my team especially when it have to be on the spot. I came in today with at-least 34 hungry kids and Smalls made operation much easier. Their simple menu helps the kids pick out their meals quickly and they had outdoor seating. Even though there wasn’t much seating it work out since they have turf. The rest of the kids sat on their towels on the turf. The food was good. It is just burger and fries ,so they keep it simple and quick. The crew they had today was very helpful with me and the kids ordering. I usually don’t write reviews that much but because how great the smalls team at veterans treated us had to be said.

Today My husband and I went to Smalls and were nervous looking over the reviews before. We were just passing through the area and heard it was Drew Brees spot so had to give a try. The pricing was a little high but the food is filling. I got a combo 3 biggie and my husband did the regular combo 4. I only ended up eating 1 1/2 burgers (was full) and my husband finished the rest. Wish they had some outdoor heater because of the weather. Beside that it was a good spot for a quick lunch. We really enjoyed the queso. We heard of a mardi gras milkshake from the crew so definitely will pass back around February to try.

I parked and went to the window to make my order. Standing there watching everybody quickly put my order together was very impressive. It was a nice breezy day for me and my friend to sit outside and enjoy my food. My burgers were fresh and tasty and the service fast. Manager, Dillyn Benton, was very friendly and even helped and made my shake. I remember when he was at Walkons I would see him sitting people at their table to the cash register and even in the kitchen putting food together and making sure everything was running smoothly from the bar to the dining room to the kitchen.

I finally decided to give this place a try after years of stalling lol. I ordered 3 burgers, fries, cheese sauces, and a cookies and cream milkshake. First and foremost, the service was just OK. The man at the window didn't seem too interested in being of service, but everyone has their days or moments, I guess. The actual burgers were okay. I don't think they're anything to run back to. The bun was nice and soft. The meat was grilled nicely; however, I was expecting it to have more flavor and moistness. It wasn't completely dry; rather, a bit dehydrated, if you will. The fries were pretty good. The cheese sauce is on the thicker side, but really flavorful with a slight kick. I enjoyed it! The star of the show was the milkshake! It is arguably one of the best fast food milkshakes, in my opinion. It's thick, creamy, and the actual vanilla is near perfect. Overall, I'll probably stick to regular ole castle burgers. I will return whenever I crave a milkshake!

My sliders were hot and delicious. I ordered the #3, with queso & smauce on the side. My waffle fries were hot, crispy, and fresh out of the grease, with a cold Arnold Palmer ots. The service was decent, it wasn't quick but my food was hot and fresh. The staff was courteous and kind. The ambiance was peaceful because I went through the drive thru.

I like to get the 3 cheeseburger slider combo. The sliders here are a simple yet satisfying guilty pleasure of mine. The buttery soft bread melts in your mouth, complementing the well-seasoned ground meat, and is cooked to perfection. It's always extra cheesy, and so comforting to indulge in. I'm not a sauce person, so I never get the sauce or pickles. The fries are crispy and golden, the perfect pairing. Don't forget the Queso dip for your fries. It's the ultimate finishing touch that takes this to the next level.

Over $10 for a 2 slider combo, which only consists of a patty, a pickle, a bun, and cheese. No sauce was given, j guess you have to ask. Very plain. The waffle fries are okay, with the ketchup.

I'm a burger guy, and this is not a good burg experience for me. It feels like bad party food. Overcooked meat, buns out of proportion to meat, and soggy fries. The foods an after thought. The customer service is friendly though.

Chas and my friend Chloe had been to Smalls Sliders already and they said I absolutely needed to check them out when I got back down to the Nola area. Yeah ok...don't threaten me with food! Upon pulling up it immediately gave off a Chic Fil A feel with the way the drive thru was setup and how people were working the drive-thru taking orders on foot. It also in a way gave off a checkers feel by the look of the building and limited seating outside. Neither of those things were a plus or minus for me honestly, but I could see the drive thru being something people don't love because once you're in it, there's no way out so if they're super busy, you're stuck. We grabbed some cheeseburger sliders with bacon meals. The food came out fairly quickly and everything looked and smelled great. I mean, if you go into this thinking you're going for white castle, you're going to be insanely surprised. I have been to many slider spots so I was aware of what was to come, but I think people associate sliders with white castle or krystal and that is just not the game anymore. Plenty of meat, bacon, and cheese and the rolls were soft and fresh. I'm not sure what else I could even say about them. Cooked well and seasoned well. I never get waffle fries at chic fil a because they're always lukewarm and not crispy but these waffle fries were good, I have no complaints about them. These little big sliders are super tasty and filling. I don't eat a lot of red meat anymore but boy oh boy when I got these, I was like, "you sure you wanna give up red meat??" They were hot, fresh and juicy. As my husband and I first time here, we ordered two of these biggie sliders with fries. When we got the order, I told the lady we're missing a box. Apparently, they put both sliders in one container lol. So, just be aware of that before you get home and realize you're missing food lol. On another note, there is a long wait so be prepared to spend a little time in drive thru or perhaps go and order inside. Not sure that timeframe but I recommend these sliders for sure!

I'm not sure I understand why there's such a long line. It's better than White Castle, but it's not something that I'd run back to have again. I had the combo a with regular fries. The sauce was tasty, but I suspect I didn't appreciate it as much as others. If your into burgers, it's worth trying but suggest starting with a smaller quantity and place you'd order as a walk up as opposed to waiting in a line that's longer than chik fil a.

I've visited twice before doing a review just so I had time to really assess. I thought the hype would have died down a bit by now, but on my second visit, I still waited 40 minutes in line. As others have stated, the fact that you can't get out of line after you get there is very problematic and should be rethought for safety and efficacy reasons at the very least. The food: on my first visit, I was pretty impressed with the sliders, albeit they were a bittttt greasy! I did not like the fries. They tasted like nothing at all. It was weird. When I went today, I felt the sliders were just ok. Maybe once the staff are fully set in and the place isn't constantly busy, they'll be more consistent.

The burgers and waffle fries were good and the service was quick. We sat outside as the weather wasn't too hot and they do have fans on the tables. It served our purpose that day and we were in the area so all was good. I just wouldn't make a big special effort to go there as there are so many better burgers near by.

So we attended on opening day. While a way was definitely to be expected, I most certainly didn't think it was going to be a 2 and a half hour wait. Once we entered the drive through, we were completely STUCK! As a Human Resources and business operations professional, I'm always tracking data to improve quality and service. When I got to the speaker to order, similar to Chick fil A, there were two staff present taking orders. They appeared to be very exhausted. I asked the order taker how long she thought the wait time was. She stated that it was supposed to be 3-5 minutes. Surely I figured she must've misunderstood what I was asking, and rephrased the question, "From the point of view of entry into the drive through line this evening, how long do you think people are waiting?" She repeated what she said before. I said, well I understand what it's supposed to be, and giving grace because it's so. We, however our wait time thus far has been 2 hours. She didn't seem bothered by it. I proceeded to order a 4 slider meal with 2 milkshakes. At that point, we were told that the milkshake machine was tired and wasn't working as they had sold over 300 milkshakes earlier in the day. I said, it would have been nice to know that when we initially entered the line and was given these paper menus. Another 20 minutes later we were at the wind onto receive our order. The manager from Atlanta was assisting and apologized, and handed us 2 free Combo 1 cards. The food was hot and fresh, though the burgers seemed to have been cooked on a grill that needed some cleaning. They were extremely greasy and you could taste the grease. The Queso was very good and the fries were hot as were the burgers. NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: 1. Time how long the lines are taking for process improvement and let people know prior to entering the line. 2. There was a better use of time for the 4 individuals in the parking lot walking around telling people to pull up an inch. They could/should have been assisting with processing orders. 3. If there is an item not on the menu, post a sign or let customers know before sitting in line for 2+ hours. I'm happy to consult on an operational and/or human resource perspective. I'm sure we'll be back but I'll allow the hype to die down a bit and let the team improve their systems.

I finally got to try this slider spot months after it had opened! When they first opened the lines were insane. I always try and order through the app to make it more convenient for myself. The sliders are just so good! I normally end up getting two sliders, the queso, and the fries. If you've never had a queso dip to go with your fries, what are you waiting for! The parking lot also is NOT as tricky as I thought it would be. If you're in the area, give them a chance. I've never had bad food or a bad experience there.

Service was great and fast! Best sliders in Metairie! I loved the queso sm! I also didn't expect to like the dreamsicle shake but it was so good. The cooked and cream shake was also delish. This is going to be my new go to fast food in the area!

Pleasantly surprised with these sliders and fries considering the mixed reviews. Now, I would t want to wait longer than 15min or so, it's just fast food, but for a quick meal, it's good. Ours was takeout and still hot and fresh when we got home. Burgers were good, juicy and the bun was soft. Loved the cheese and pickles. Fries were some of the better waffle fries I've had and nicely seasoned. I found two sliders and splitting an order of fries to be plenty for a filling dinner. If the line isn't crazy, I'd go again. Solid little burger stand.

The food is delicious! The wait is too long hopefully that will work it self out! And it's a decent little spot! I love going to grab a few sliders for the fam on a busy day!

Smalls Sliders is a new favorite of mine :) the sliders are delicious with the smauce sauce and the sweet tea tops everything off!! Service is decent and quick, the facility itself is also clean and neat with a well covered seating area.

Honestly, I think the burgers are pretty good. The staff was friendly and we got our food pretty quick. Shared the slider meal between two people. Plenty of food. The overall rating I think is 2 1/2 stars. I feel people are underestimating and underrating this drive-in. Would rather go here than a lot of other fast food places that's for sure!

I was so excited for Smalls Sliders to open, but that quickly turned to disappointment. The line was a bit long but moved rather fast. I ordered the 3 sliders meal with a sweet tea. The tea was delicious. Everything else...not so much! The food was really greasy and bland. The fries looked so good but didn't taste like anything. The burgers seemed like a poor quality of meat and one of the other guests had a raw burger. I paid an extra $1 per slider to add bacon that I ended up throwing in the trash because it was just barely done. For 2 people, we paid almost $30 for 3 sliders each, waffle fries and drinks.

The burgers are overrated, overpriced and greasy. The best thing on the menu are the fries. However, the service was good.

Good when hot; meh when cold. Unless you're sitting at the window while they're being made, you don't know which one you're going to get.

Service was meh, burgers/ sliders was meh. So many other good burgers places. Atomic, shake shack, or even a Dave's single is tastier then this stuff they slanging.

So, I went to pick up for my work crew today at 12ish. Yes, the line is very long, but they have folks taking your order outside. The line really moved at a good pace to say it was lunch rush. Nice music playing over the outdoor sound system. We even got fake S tattoos! The sliders are very filling and the waffle fries, oh Wow!!! It was $74 for 7 people. Great prices. I'll definitely visit again!

I should have known not to come seeing the mixed reviews. It is unclear where the start of the drive thru is and some white wanna be manager jerk yells at me and tells me to go around. Signs are unclear as to where to go. The fries were inedible. The sliders were ice cold in the middle. Overpriced bad food.

Over it. Can't taste the sauce so burgers are dry. Asked for no pickles and got pickles anyway. There are better burgers down the street.

The sliders are pretty good! Love their fries too! The smauce & queso sauce are so freaking good, I love dipping on the fries & sliders as well. The service is great! Definitely coming back!

I'm surprised by the other mediocre reviews. I thought the sliders were great. Sure, they're a little greasy, but they're super delicious. The waffle fries are excellent. I would recommend that they put the food in a different container, so the condensation from the heat doesn't make the fries and buns soggy though. The first time I went, I waited in the drive-thru line, and it was a long line, but it seemed to move fairly quickly. The second time I went though, the line was insane (it is a newer place after all -- at least a new location), so I walked up to the window to order. I suspect I ended up waiting about 10mins. The employees are friendly, and they have some fun music playing on the speaker outside to make the atmosphere more enjoyable, so you're not just listening to the busy intersection nearby. The food is a bit expensive (but isn't it all these days?), but not much more than your average fast food restaurant. You'd probably pay a similar amount at a Chick-fil-A or Five Guys. I can't wait to go back, personally. Check 'em out!

I got to Smalls today and for the first time. Ordered 3 single sliders only. It's just a drive thru or walk up with some tables outside which is fine. I can't say there's anything unique or exceptional about these sliders. Good ? Sure bit definitely not great - certainly not worth going out of one's way to get. The size is good, it was filling. The problem is the smell. I know it's beef but when there's a smell to it that just is too raw (if you smelt raw beef) it's not appealing. Regardless though I don't think I'd voluntarily go there. There are at least two much better options in the immediate area. Service not available (window pickup) so can't comment on that but it was efficient. Didn't get the waffle fries but plenty of those on my freezer. In conclusion, nothing special or outstanding at all. Just a greasy fatty smelly burger. Maybe at 2am and drunk ?

We stopped at Smalls for dinner. The Employess were Great and the food was Awesome. We ordered a #3 and a #4. The burgers tasted Awesome and we loved the sauce on the burgers. Tje fries were excellent and the queso was very good and had a kick to it!! Our meals were excellent and the management and staff were Awrsome!! We will be back. Mary

Take out takes forever. They try to look like Chick-fil-A taking your order in the line, but it doesn't work very well if at 2:30 PM the line is around the building and not moving. As far as the food. Not worth the price of almost $9.00 for a single greasy burger combo. Average tasting burger. I like fries to taste like potatoes. The coating on the fries is just nasty. Why not an option for coated or uncoated? I don't eat at Popeyes because I don't like seasoned fries. I have no interest in eating here ever again. But that's fine because I doubt they will be in business for a long time. I also won't be sad to see the ugly, cheap-looking orange shipping container gone.

I prefer the double meat sliders because they taste the best! The waffle fries are amazing and the queso dip is the best side/sauce ever!

Not great but good. Wait times are just far too long. Should be a single lane drive through bc waiting for over 20 min ain't fun and cars always move when they shouldn't.

If there was any more grease on this meal, I'd probably be sick to my stomach. If I'd have eaten the fries, I would've. Never again. Sorry Drew. Seriously lacking in quality. Highly disappointing. How do you screw up sliders? Smalls said hold its beer and watch this.

I decided to give this place a try after all the initial hype. I know the entrance/exit is probably still a work in progress. After getting in line I see this is another fast food restaurant trying to implement the two order lane merge. There's only one place that got this system correct and that is Chick-fil-a, you need to have an adequate length of single lane to window after the merge to help the merge process from being a mess or someone being a jerk. We both got a 3 slider meal. The boxes were all covered with water droplets, not sure how that happened. Burgers were very greasy and waffle fries were very soft as if they could use a few more minutes in the fryer. There was no tub of "Smauce" in the bag, so I can't comment on their signature sauce. The burger was OK, a little less grease would have been nice. Didn't care for the fries. Fortunately I went during a time frame when it wasn't that busy. I don't see me returning. It's really not much better than any burger/fries joint.

Too much styrofoam, how wasteful. And one of the burgers was missing a good portion of the patty. My husband says his burgers weren't good, the meat had like rocks in it, everyone needs to be careful chewing-don't want to break any teeth. We won't be back.

I'm not sure if it's the fact that if just opened but all the food we ordered just wasn't good, at all. Very greasy. The fries, all the burger options. The best thing was the fountain drink. High hopes for it because I live in the area and have watched it open but just not worth it. Way better quick burger options in the area.

Love these sliders and fries! Sliders are beefy, cheesy, and the bread is fresh! The waffle fries are seasoned! Tips...park your car and wait in line. It goes by faster than the drive thru. Also, the smauce yes I did spell that correctly, they put on the sliders isn't enough. Get a side to dip the sliders and fries in. It's really good! The atmosphere is all about outside dining, and they seem to keep the tables clean too.

Okay, I hate to admit to how many times I've visited this place just to have the fries with queso. Send help! They're so good and the burgers are small but mighty. Very filling. Highly recommended

Well the name rings true these burgers are a one bite size burger the waffle fries are good it's 7.99 for a one bite burger waffle fries and a medium drink I would have to eat six of those just to be satisfied not actually full.I would not be interested in returning it was empty yesterday guess the newness has worn off and drew brees is not there.I give them one year at best I can go to Applebees get a huge cheeseburger with hot fries for 11.99 and be full.I just don't see it if you bring your kid after school they would need at least four of those single bite burgers and it can get pricey.They may need to revamp the menu not much bang for your buck sorry Drew maybe you should have stuck with walk on!

I ate here two weeks ago and got food poisoning. The service was fine. I sat on a table and the ambiance is fine. But Food Poisoning will keep me from coming back forever.

Terrible service and staff. Staff is rude, uneducated, can't get a basic order right, and didn't have allergy information available. Will not be back

Was waiting for Smalls to get their act together. Had read mixed reviews. We loved it. Spilt a combo. Devious burgers and fries. Refilled drink. It was a great day to eat outside. Will go back.

Food is ok but not better than say McDonald's. It's lil pricey for small burgers. Very unimpressed and not likely returning. Don't see it lasting long after hype is over. Sorry Drew!

HORRIBLE!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Waiting the 20 minutes was not worth the hype for a burnt greasy burger. The milkshake was just a cup of frozen yogurt no flavor to it either. HORRIBLE.

Got in drive thru line on a Monday at 1:56 pm and wasn't out of the line until 2:50 pm. Once you're in the drive thru line there's NO WAY out. Insane, the line did not look long AT ALL
