Cheeseburger Restaurant Smalls Sliders Is Opening in Austin - Eater Austin

"A fast-casual restaurant chain known for its cheeseburger sliders is going to be opening several restaurants in Austin. Smalls Sliders will be opening at least five known locations, with the first opening sometime in early 2025. Smalls Sliders’ menu is simple: beef patty-based cheeseburger sliders, with options to add a second patty, more cheese, bacon, and/or pickles and sauce. There’s also a small grilled cheese, sauces (its signature mayonnaise-based Smauce and a queso), waffle fries, and milkshakes (vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream)." - Nadia Chaudhury

Food was good, a little high priced and I was not a fan of the fries…perhaps you will live the fries!!! The servers say “thanks for sliding through”. Difficult to get in and out of the parking lot, so we must rely on the kindness of others. ❤️ I need to try the grilled cheese, I bet it is delicious.

We’ve been twice now as it’s finally something different and the sliders are pretty good. We were there last night around 9p. We pulled right up and were able to place our order. Despite repeating our order 3 times, our receipt was incorrect - we just couldn’t understand the girl taking the order. Thankfully we noticed before we received our food and were able to order an additional item, which we paid for despite the long wait and their error. It was frustrating that we were trying to wave employees down for more than 5 minutes but no one would look at us out the window at all. The food is good, not great for fast food. We prefer the sliders that are upgraded with an extra patty and bacon as the regular sliders are mainly bread, not enough topping. The fries are well seasoned.

The food is hot and fresh made to order. One of the best sliders I had in a long time, fries where Season will, Bacon cooked well atmosphere was nice on a cool texas day. Chef kiss for the Queso.

Wow this place is amazing. The Mac sauce is almost like a tartar sauce that is perfect for there crispy fries & super soft burgers. Service was incredible- very friendly. Really hope they open more locations. 10/10

I go to Smalls a lot and yall are usually spot on. Love the fries Smauce and Queso. But tonight when I had my Husband go by and pick up a meal this is what we got. When we’re paying $20 for a meal I expect more than 7 fries. 😬

I've been here twice delicious both times. I had the two slider meal. It was just over 10$. When ordering I'm thinking that's a little pricey for what you get but honestly it filled me up, I didn't need anymore but I wanted more because it's so tasty 😂 regretted both times not getting the four slider meal. It's just as expensive as any other fast food place and it tastes better for sure. Definitely a spot I will go ever time I'm in Willis. There's no indoor dining RIP. Note the photo I've already eaten some of the food.

We went today about 30 minutes ago. The lady with long blonde braids taking our order in the drive thru was unprofessional. Our sliders had undercooked/raw meat. I asked for the smalls sauce but was not provided. I am utterly disappointed and disgusted.

Until this company came to Willis I will say I’ve never heard of them but I’m glad we tried them out. As usual the line was extremely long however the sliders were tasty. Honestly bad location with so much traffic and the traffic light there’s not a good way to get in. However (Kind of reminded me of smash burger) but I will say they need to add more sauce, I felt the slider had 1 dime size of sauce on it so most bites didn’t have any sauce (extra sauce is 0.49 more with it not to mention the single pickle slice in it.) but it was good. 2 sliders fries and a drink is $9.29 however if you just wanted 1 slider it’s $2.79

Yelp
Ate here for lunch. Was great. Came back for dinner. Still great. That was jan 30th. Went back today and meat is nonexeistant on burgers. I want to love this place but Jack in the box is down the road and definitely better location. stevo777@ymail.com

Yelp
Why 5 stars? Because this was a great place to stop on my way back from Dallas. --- --- --- A couple days before I headed up to Dallas, I saw an Instagram ad for Smalls Sliders in Willis - I had never heard of it before. I sent it to my wife and she had seen it on social media herself. We were both intrigued and added it to our very lengthy list of places we wanted to try. Fast forward 48 or so hours, and I'm on my way home from Dallas. I ask the wife: "would you like me to stop at the new slider place and pick up some lunch?" She opts to bring the kiddo and just meet me there. On this day, a new record was set for us learning that a place exists, and going to said place. We arrive and it turns out, approximately 4,000 other people saw the same Instagram ad. The line for the drive-thru is so long that it's causing traffic to backup on 1097. Fortunately, we were dining in (aka on the covered patio), so we were both able to park right away, despite there being only a few spots. I got the sliders with bacon and thought they were great. We got some of their smauce, which is similar to Cane's sauce, as well as queso for dipping the fries in. I can't say I've ever dipped fries in queso before, but I like fries and I like queso, so I was not mad about it! I can't say we come to Willis often, but if we are ever in the area in the future, this will be on our short list!

Yelp
I gave a three because the manager ( in a black shirt and had an eyebrow piercing) was horribly disrespectful to the other employees. I mention that to help management identify who she was. I didn't see a name tag. She should be embarrassed for how she spoke to them. I would have said something, but I was in the backseat with my baby. She was talking to them like they were dirt in front of all the drive through customers. Shouting at them telling them all they are doing wrong. Definitely not Chick-fil-A etiquette and not a good way to keep employees. Disrespectful. No one should be treated like that. Food is good. But that work environment sucks

Yelp
If this place doesn't scream small town burger joint, I don't know what does. Building looks like it should be there and stands out. Drive-thru is set up like a well known chicken place with crew members taking your order at the menu. This place has only been open two days so I had questions and the young lady helping me was very knowledgeable and kind. I ordered a #4 combo. Burgers come with cheese, pickle and their signature sauce. I asked the sauce to be put on the side, just in case I wasn't a fan. Also asked for a side of queso (since one of their featured items is queso fries) and a 1/2 and 1/2 tea. All together, a little over $17. I pull around and there are 2 lanes to wait in. A team member immediately dropped off my drink at the car. Took a sip and whoa!!! This sucker is crazy sweet! It stated "ST" on the lid in sharpie so I'm assuming this was just straight up sweet tea. If I'm wrong in that assumption, watch out because here comes a sugar rush! Received my order in a timely fashion. Not long of a wait at all. They have fun signs as you drive off stating "thanks for sliding in." Nice little touch. Got home. The portion sizes... I wouldn't call Texas sized but you get what you get. The fries are awesome! They're like a seasoned fry. Crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Some of the best in town for sure. Tried one in the queso!! The queso is on point! Creamy thick cheese with just a hint of spice and peppers. Legit! The burgers... not my favorite. The meat patties are slimmer than the bottom bun. Biting into them, all you taste is bread and cheese. The pickle is thicker than the meat. Now that's a problem. I know the new trend is a SMASH burger, but that doesn't work here. Make your patties BIGGER! Not much, just a little. So, I suggest you doubling up on your patties. Make it a "Biggie Smallz". Their signature sauce is pretty tasty. It's a thick mayo, ketchup, and relish concoction. I'm a fan. Overall, Smalls Sliders is a pretty good place to eat. And I'll be back to double up on the patties and give it another go soon. Enjoy and stay hungry!

Yelp
We drove through to pick up lunch after driving past Smalls several times while visiting Lake Conroe. An employee was stationed in the drive through lane taking orders. It was our first time here so she explained everything to us. We both ordered the number 2 combo. The food was piping hot and perfect!! We also ordered a side of queso for dipping our waffle fries. Yes, please!!!! It's yummy too!!

Yelp
Convenient location, good quality, superb cheesy buttery American burger joint that's right down the street from my favorite water hole, Sam's liquor, both location have a drive thru, so why not slide thru enjoy buttery burgers and pair w/ premium cocktail bourbon.
