12,000 COVID-19 Vaccines Will Be Administered to Houston Restaurant Workers Next Week | Eater Houston

"A two-day COVID-19 vaccine clinic at 18111 Lexington Boulevard in Sugar Land will serve hospitality and restaurant workers, operating from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, April 19 and Tuesday, April 20. The clinic will distribute 12,000 Pfizer doses total (6,000 per day) exclusively to service-industry employees aged 16 and up as part of a partnership between the Texas Restaurant Association, Texas Food and Wine Alliance, Memorial Hermann Health Systems, and Fertitta Entertainment. Appointments must be made in advance through Memorial Hermann’s online portal (walk-ins will be turned away), and attendees must present photo identification that matches the name and date of birth on their appointment confirmation. We have never been to the Smart Financial Center before but we will absolutely be going back. The line to go in was quick , the staff throughout the building were friendly and informative. Everything was clean and lines were organized. Much better drive than into Houston for events. Will be going here far more ofton!

I recently visited the Smart Financial Centre for the Stardew Valley: Festival of the Seasons concert, and overall it was a really great experience. The venue was easy to find, and we chose to take a Lyft, which made arrival simple. There is currently some construction around the parking areas, so I was glad we didn’t have to navigate that ourselves. Inside, the center is gorgeous, very clean, modern, and well-maintained. The temperature throughout the show was perfect (not too hot or cold), which made enjoying the performance even better. Every staff member we interacted with was welcoming and helpful, which really added to the positive atmosphere. The seating was comfortable and the view of the stage was great, no matter where you sat. We felt completely engaged in the performance the whole time. Overall, the Smart Financial Centre provided a smooth and enjoyable experience, and I would definitely return for another event.

Great venue with excellent acoustics and a lively atmosphere! The seating was comfortable, and the sound quality made the whole experience even better. Plenty of food and drink options, clean restrooms, and great views even from the back rows. Whether it’s a concert or a special event, this is definitely one of the best places to enjoy live music.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable Night at Smart Financial Centre! I can’t say enough good things about our recent experience at Smart Financial Centre! My son and I came to see our favorite band, The Goo Goo Dolls, and from start to finish, it was a night to remember. The venue itself is absolutely top-notch: clean, modern, and designed with both comfort and sound quality in mind. The acoustics were phenomenal you could hear every lyric, every guitar riff, and every drumbeat with crystal clarity. The lighting and visuals enhanced the show without overpowering it, letting the performance shine through in a way that felt personal yet electric. You could tell the team behind the scenes really knows how to run a live production. Parking was surprisingly smooth for a packed show, and the staff was courteous and helpful at every turn, from the ushers to the concession crew. They kept lines moving, helped guests to their seats quickly, and maintained a positive, welcoming atmosphere. Even the restrooms were spotless (which is rare at packed venues!). Our seats had a fantastic view of the stage, and there’s really not a bad seat in the house. The Goo Goo Dolls absolutely brought the energy and soul we were hoping for, and sharing that with my son made the experience truly special. Smart Financial Centre has earned its place as one of the premier venues in the Houston area. Whether it’s concerts, comedy, or family events, this is the place to be. We’ll definitely be back!

Just went to the Giveon “Dear Beloved” Tour at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, and wow — hands down the best concert experience I’ve ever had. I’ve done VIP before, but this suite took it to another level — the comfort, the view, the energy — everything was perfect. From the Mercedes-Benz Lounge to the purple glow of the venue, the entire night felt upscale and unforgettable. Giveon’s voice hit every emotion, and the whole experience had that smooth, effortless luxury — Taehyung-vibe approved. 🎤✨ 🎶 Incredible music. Elegant atmosphere. Unmatched vibes. And the best part? While I was vibing at the concert, my car was making me money passively with NOVA — no check-ins, no stress, just pure autopilot income. 🚗💜 follow my journey on IG @drivewithnova

Google
Love how the venue is. The walk from the parking lot isnt very far either. The only thing I did not like was they didn't have an actual "kitchen". The food they had were already made and put in looks like warmers.

Google
Venue was top notch! Staff were all friendly and professional. The Mercedes Lounge was great. Food was excellent on the buffet. So nice to be able to pop into the Lounge between the bands.

Google
This concert venue is excellent. I live in Montrose and appreciate that it is easy to get to Sugar Land to go to a concert. The seats at the front offer the best view of the stage, but I recommend the seats behind this area. I got a more affordable seat, and I found that I was still relatively close to the stage. The difference in price was quite noticable.

Yelp
I've been here a few times for different concerts. Their parking is always organized. I never have a problem getting in & out. Depending on how big the concert is, determines how long the wait can be. But even then, they keep the line a steady flow. I would recommend buying your parking ticket online when you buy your concert ticket. I like the seating arrangement. For the most part there aren't any bad seats but you can get pretty far away at the top. They have plenty of bars with food located on the main floor to avoid a long wait. It's definitely one of the easiest venue for me to navigate. My favorite is the nachos & shrimp poboy's that are in the center of the floor. The staff are always patient and kind.

Yelp
I like the cleanliness and safety of the venue but I mark with two stars in hopes leadership notices this feedback . 1) An easy win - the purse size limitations are in line with perhaps a below average venue. We women want to be able to bring our designer purses. The purses are already searched so problem is solved. 2) Can you set up the chairs cross diagonal so everyone can see? Thank you

Yelp
So many things were done poorly at this venue. Bag policy wasn't put out very well in email correspondence and the security guard neglected to say it could be checked at coat check. The seating signage was abysmal, felt like ballpack seating rather than an entertainment venue. I saw at least 5 people have to move since they were in the wrong spot. The pricing for drinks and snacks was also impressively high for this type of venue, once again felt like a ball game. The employees didn't seem to know what they were doing, which I could normally forgive, but this one usher kept shining her flashlight all over the place. The parking lot was a hot mess, no clear pathways to the venue and the front of the venue was a path of gravelly doom, just waiting for a twisted ankle. Lastly the bathrooms seemed to be designed to cause chaos, once again felt like a ballpark except way worse. I hope no more bands I want to see come here, because I'd rather not go again.

Yelp
October 16, 2025 Second time here. Wasn't a sold out show, so we got floor seats to see Dwight Yoakum, Los Lonely Boys and Marcus King. HELL YEAH!

Yelp
This was my 1st time at Smart financial center and my experience here was excellent! They run and facilitate events here like a well oiled machine. I arrived for the Maxwell concert and there was proper signage and staff that knew their role and facilitated you to your respective parking lot. Once I reached the venue they had multiple medal detectors and a vip entrance which was separate if you were moving like that for the evening. The concession setup was great and in abundance with a location by each entrance. Its cashless only which I love and you can pay with your phone. Once inside the seating area there are attendants to guide you and the seats are labeled and highlighted for easy identification! Exiting the venue was smooth and efficient as well! You literally go back out the way you entered and hit the freeway! Overall after one visit. I love it! I look forward to attending another concert there!

Yelp
Hubby bought us seats in the VIP lounge to see Ali Siddiq (comedian). It's my first time sitting up there in the boxes. If your ticket includes VIP parking, there is the VIP valet right outside the door of the lounge. Unfortunately our seller didn't include that, so we did regular parking. It took about 30 min to get into the lot and park, so plan accordingly. When you enter, you to go the suites entrance and check in with the attendant. She will band you and you'll go up the elevator to the suites. I liked it up there. You have access to a private bar and private bathrooms that are clean. The suites have an inside club room that is sound proof. Then when you go out the glass door you have the balcony seats. The capacity is about 20 people per suite. What I didn't like was the inconsiderate people who were talking in the next suite adjacent to us. They had their glass door open and having full convo during the show. We ate beforehand at Sugarland Town Center which is about 7 min away from the venue. However, they do have a light menu you can order from inside the suites. I think I'm spoiled and will want to get seats inside the suites from now one when coming to Smart Financial. The attendant gave us a card to contact the suites coordinator directly for next time.

Yelp
First concert 2023: Tony Toni Tone! (No camera, no phone allowed at concert) Second concert 2024: Anthony Hamilton and Isley Bros My husband and I have attended a few shows at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land and were consistently impressed with the venue. It has a cool ambiance--spacious yet intimate--making it ideal for live musical performances. The setup allowed for a personal connection with the artist, who, as expected, was incredibly talented and engaging. However, the parking situation was a major disappointment. It was, without a doubt, one of the worst I've ever experienced at any venue. The parking lot was chaotic and poorly organized, with attendants sending us on confusing, roundabout routes, which made finding a spot unnecessarily stressful. I was also surprised that they charged for parking, especially in an area like Sugar Land where space is usually plentiful, and such fees feel more like a Houston "money grab." This only added to the frustration, worsened by the attendants who seemed to create more confusion around the parking fees and organization. While the venue and the shows themselves were fantastic, the parking fiasco definitely put a damper on the night. After the first concert, we learned to leave early to avoid the chaos, but the downside is that you risk missing the best part of the performance.

Yelp
Do not love the $20 parking to go to a show here but parking and getting out is pretty easy. Nice clean venue. The candy store is a little sad but adequate for candy needs and reasonably priced. Our pretzels we got were hollow. Literally no puffy pretzel dough on the inside. Seats were good and staff were all friendly.

Yelp
I've been to several concerts at Smart Financial...and it's always a great experience!!!the seating is solid no matter where you are...and the sound system is top-notch...the only drawback has been the traffic when leaving...it's usually a mess...but to be fair...it looks like they're improving it with better planning...and flow...overall...still one of my favorite concert spots!!!

Yelp
I came here with my partner and some friends to enjoy the Avatar: The Last Airbender concert. Everything about our experience went really well. The venue emailed their bag policy before hand (be sure to read). Although there was a line wrapped around the building to get in, it moved really quickly. Security seemed very organized which allowed us to get in with no problems. ALL of staff was surprisingly all very friendly as well: the staff manning the elevators, behind the concession stands, the ushers leading us to our seats. We sat on section 204, which is definitely close to the stage, but had a good time regardless. We were able to see and hear everything. Overall, it was a great show. You could hear the laughing and crying, the oohs and the ahhs coming from the audience in unison. The ease of customer service also added to the experience. The only downside of this venue, has to be the parking. Its HUGE and at the end of the night when we were leaving, there was no one directing the flow of traffic. This made leaving the venue a little difficult as traffic began to get backed up and all but one exit was blocked off.

Yelp
This is a bit of a late review (1 1/2 years late basically but I didn't have Yelp then) but I saw ITZY during their first world tour here back in November of 2022. First things first, I went and got merch earlier in the day. I would definitely recommend getting merch earlier so you aren't waiting in stupidly long lines for it later on. The staff was also pretty nice from what I remember except the lady at security telling me that my bag was too big to pass 'but she'd let it slide' this time. (My bag was one of those clear waterproof phone pouches. The bag policy is ridiculous now that social distancing isn't needed anymore.) I also got to the venue a little late due to the parking lot (I left the venue after getting merch and came back a little before show time) and the fact that Ticketmaster said that the show began at 8 pm even though it began at 7:30 pm, causing me to miss my favorite ITZY song That's not the venue though so it's not a complaint LOL. Besides that, the show was really good! It was pretty loud, even compared to other concerts I've been to. I entered the venue and got to my seats and I just felt my ears go like "WOAH what?!" I've been to a few other venues and this one isn't my total favorite, but it's solid and not super far into Houston which I appreciate.

Yelp
Always nice to walk by the SFC and take a rest in the gardens next to it. My wife attended 2 events and mentioned only great things. Just the parking in and out are a bit messy. But except for that, the venue is great!

Yelp
First time going in May and it was awesome! I went to see "The Thorn" and it was amazing! ~ Food was overpriced but whats new about that lol. ~ Make it there early and you wont have a problem at all with parking. ~ The overall seating in the theater was pretty nice. No matter what seat you got it was all perfect. Not a bad seat in the house.

Yelp
BUCKLE UP, Y'ALL! Let's begin right at the very first moment of entry onto the property. You have to pay $20 for parking. There is only 1 lot (theirs) and there's literally nothing else nearby. You also have to walk a good ways to the building. Parking should 110% not cost a goddamn thing. ...Especially if you have to go back to your car, which many had to do! At a seemingly nice performing arts center like this, none of us think that idiotic bag policy applies like it does at larger concert venues. But sadly, this place too has the 4x6 bullshite bag policy that, quite honestly, shouldn't exist anywhere. They continued to worsen when I tried to get in holding only my phone and car keys. They said one of my keychains could be a weapon so I'd have to either toss it, or yep you guessed it... bring it back to the feckin car! I hid it nearby the building, avoiding another trip to the car so no more time would be wasted. ...Especially since the show had started! At nearly 8pm, the start of the show, they had multiple lines with people still waiting to get in. I've never been to any venue (I am a seriously seasoned professional when it comes to shows and concerts at all types of venues), that had entrance lines anywhere near the start of showtime. What the hell was taking them so long? How much time could it possibly take to search through the coin purses people are expected to fit none of their basic essential items in? I'm sure the bag checkers are sick of hearing the complaints too so what say we ALL rally together and put a stop to that nonsense? Venue itself? Bland. Nothing special. Nicest thing I can say is that it was clean. The bar had a shite variety of overpriced liquids so don't even bother there. The staff inside was also bland; I got the impression they were all counting the minutes until their shifts were over. The one thing I was happily surprised by was how nice the patrons dressed (or at least attempted to nicely dress). That never happens so congrats on that win, general public. Derek Hough and his dancers were out of this world marvelous and made the experience worth it... however, I will take a pass on this place for all future shows and I recommend others follow suit. And I must add this side note... Venues, enough with the overreactions about potential weapons. It makes you look ridiculous and only serves to challenge the violent. I guarantee you I could make anything available inside into a weapon. Hell, my keys could be one! You gonna stop letting people bring those in? And here's some more food for thought... what makes y'all think some of us even need a weapon? Fix your policies because you're losing attendees left and right.

Yelp
I took my daughter to see Ruben Blades who has been on my bucket list for many years. He isn't touring too many US cities so we made the drive from San Antonio. Getting there was easy enough. We found decent parking. We prepaid but they didn't scan the ticket. Just let us through. We decided to stay in the car to keep charging our phones for a bit when we saw quite a few men walking back to the cars with purses. I checked online and saw the size limit was super tiny. Luckily, my daughter had pockets in her jeans and showed me how to put my drivers license and credit card in my phone case. The line for security was long, but they have a short distance to the street, so the first impression with staff was them yelling at us to get off the street. They know this is going to happen so why don't they make adjustments? Once inside we were able to get concessions pretty quickly. There are plenty of cashiers. I bought a five dollar cookie. We spent a good $50 on two drinks, a chicken sandwich, a box of popcorn, and a cookie. Venues are going to be expensive so I don't even bother worrying about it. We found our seats and the concert began. The sound here is amazing and deserves four stars. What I didn't like was the crowd. People kept getting up throughout the entire concert so everyone else has to get up in each row to let them by. It was probably the worst I've ever experienced. The two women in front of me decided to just hang out in the aisle because they couldn't enjoy the concert. Perhaps these rows are way too long. They have too many people and everybody has to pee? You can't take a good video because people are expecting you to stop and let them by. It's just bad concert etiquette especially with someone as legendary as Ruben Blades. This is a union house so he couldn't go past the 2 1/2 hours which is terrible because sometimes when the vibe is this good bands want to play more, and the crowds want more. There needs to be a way around that union rule because it's such a downer, especially for someone you've been wanting to see for decades. Exiting the parking was the absolute worst. That deserves a one star. We got in our car early enough. One vehicle let us in to the line but we sat there a good 20 minutes and all the other cars started wanting to get in the line, and some were very aggressive. People were out of their minds rude. Finally after a good half hour of idling I see people directing traffic and we were able to move but that was ridiculous and super unorganized. For a bucket list concert nothing should have ruined my experience but sadly the way this venue is organized left me looking for his next show which is in Florida. Smh

Yelp
Went to a concert and sat on side section. They did not have the side screens on so we couldn't see anything. Will go again but don't sit on the sides!

Yelp
My review is only from my comedian concert. And I felt it was organized and safe. I saw a lot of men carrying their wives over sized bags back to the car so ladies, don't carry your bags there. No you can smuggle any drink and food u got in that tote. Prepay for your parking so it's 5 bucks less. And scan and go cause there's no where to park around. Clean and new. No line for drinks.

Yelp
We spent the evening at The Smart Financial Centre tonight with friends Very nice facility...it was dark, but looked like casual seats outside...cute area Inside it holds 6,400 people Employees were very helpful Before being sested, a stop at the bar and maybe some snacks? Sounds good! No bad seats Would definitely go again

Yelp
Why 3 stars? Because upon further review, getting in and out of the parking lot is awful. --- --- --- Previously, I had been here twice, but for a kid's show both times. On both occasions, we easily pulled right up to the front of the parking lot, and got out as seamlessly as we would if we were just leaving the grocery store. For Shane Gillis, when the venue was sold out, it was a a total nightmare getting in and out. So much so, that they started the show 30 minutes late because half the theater was empty at showtime because people were all stuck outside. While we were sitting mostly motionless in the parking lot coming in and out, we were trying to figure out the rationale of the system they had. We could not. Not only did it make no sense, but it's even more frustrating given the layout of the property. The theater and the parking lot are essentially just completely sitting by themselves. Whoever built it should have been able to build the most friction-less parking lot experience because they had unlimited space to do so. Instead, it seems like there's one way in, one way out and a bunch of parking attendants whose first day was the night of this show. Overall, it's a nice theater, but the parking setup needs a complete overhaul. There is another show I want to see at this venue in a few months, and I'm considering not going just because of this parking lot.

Yelp
So I my girl and I went to a Kevin hart comedy show at this venue the parking was okay and pretty safe with security ministering the parking lot during the event they had phone locks at the doorbthatvhadvto be unlocked by the staff at the end of the show so plan accordingly overall was a pretty nice facility

Yelp
Beautiful theatre. I wasn't aware this place existed until a recent concert outing, and I absolutely loved the space. The venue opened in early 2017 and appears brand new. The acoustics were excellent, and the volume wasn't too loud. I look forward to returning for another show. Five stars.

Yelp
There's a lot to unpack on this review. 3 stars usually indicates "meh", but there are good things about SFC. I'm just not sure they outweigh. Things you MUST know BEFORE attending a concert here. We saw Joan Jett and BRYAN ADAMS 6/28/2023. I loved the concert, especially Bryan Adams, but I won't dive too much into that because this is a review on the venue, not the actual performers. PARKING: The parking is well organized by the attendants, but they funnel everyone in through several entrances and break you down to 4 lanes. It took us over 20 minutes to get from the feeder to our spot. Parking is $20 and is CASHLESS. You must have a credit or debit card. Prepaid parking is available, but I am not sure it does any good. The parking lot itself is huge, so be prepared to walk. It took us 11 minutes to get from our car to the entrance. All events come with difficult and pricey parking, but to compare, other venues have multiple sides and lots. This place has ONE side and ONE lot. Everyone funnels together and it's no fun, especially when you need to pee, just sayin'! PURSES: The purse rule is nothing to toy with - you will be turned away! I saw one man taking his lady's purse back to the car as I was making my way in and the girl in front of us got turned away too. The have a piece of paper with a square and if your purse does not fit inside the 4x6 square, you will be turned away. If you have to walk all the way back to your car, in the heat (or cold, for that matter), you will not be happy. My wristlet is 4.5x6 and I actually did not get questioned about it, nor did I have to put it on the little paper with the box outline. I was so worried because the girl in front of me had issues, but hers was definitely larger and she was completely unaware. It was a crossbody style and had to be at least 6x8 in size. Mine looks small, so that saved me (but I was nervous!). All this and you still go through a metal detector. I'm happy with the security personally. DRINKS: My chardonnay was $19.00 for ONE regular 6 oz cup. My friend's cab was $22.00. No joke! Those prices are higher than NGR and Minute Maid. They only have cabernet, chardonnay and rose. No Pinot Grigio. Bottled water is $5.00. The lines are long, so be prepared to wait and miss some of your show. All concessions are CASHLESS. You must have a credit or debit card to purchase anything. These things are in no way to be taken negatively. They are just the facts for this particular venue. The restrooms are exceptionally clean, the staff are all very helpful in navigating and the common areas are constantly maintained with little sweeper people. There are several police officers at all of the entrances/exits. I liked that. I felt very safe. The acoustics were okay. I thought the sound could have been better. It seemed all at the stage area and nothing surround. This venue hosts lots of big names, and though I enjoyed myself, I am just not sure I would go through the hassle/cost for a band I wasn't crazy about going forward. I will be back for Jackson Browne July 21st. I purchased the tickets before I knew the orchestration it takes to pull this venue off with the least amount of headaches as possible. One more reminder about that purse, Ladies. You will not be able to sweet talk your way in, so don't even chance it. 4x6 and under ONLY!
google avatar

Yelp
Parking is rough - always a long , tedious wait to leave the lot The elevators have attendants but cannot bypass the floors to get people out quickly- they stop at every floor even when they are at capacity, the seats near the exits are not good as you hear people going in and out and the door slamming every few minutes interrupting the concert and the staff speaking loudly folks to give directions It's really annoying; might I suggest having attendants outside the doors and speak out of earshot and have the doors hydraulic system fixed as to not have such a loud clang every few minutes It's a nice , big venue and people flock to see shows but the cost of refreshments is astounding Sad that we don't have a better traffic flow to leave

Yelp
I won a raffle prize to attend a holiday event at Smart Financial Center. Every member of the staff was amazing. Tommee and his team at valet welcomed me and walked me to meet the security team for check in. The hosts and hostesses were very friendly and engaging. At our suite the attendants were courteous and attentive. I am very glad to have this experience and thank you to Rosie for your correspondence leading up to the event!

Yelp
I attended a Tomorrow x Together concert at this venue and arrived about 40 minutes before the doors opened. The parking was inexpensive ($15) and they had plenty of people directing traffic. The parking spots were spacious and convenient with labeled lamps to find your car. Once I approached the venue, there were a few entrance doors available. I could clearly spot 4 sections, one being for VIP. They have metal detectors TSA-style outside the venue and then at the inside doors, they scan your ticket for entry. They opened doors 1 hour prior to show start, even though Ticketmaster had said it would be open 1.5 hours. It took about 15-20 minutes for me to get inside the venue and I was probably 200 or so in line. The venue holds about 7,500 people. The foyer area is somewhat small and can get crowded. It was easy to walk up the stairs to the 200s, where my seat was. The view was excellent and the sound was great. No complaints on my seating location. The sections are small so it's also not bad to get in and out. There were plenty of restrooms and the waits were not long. However, I think the stall doors close on their own so many times people were waiting when they didn't need to be. The exit after the concert was not difficult and organized. It took about 10-15 minutes and I had enough time to use the restroom before going to my car. Many people were still in the venue, so that made the exit easier. I would definitely come to this venue again because the acoustics were good, parking was reasonably priced, getting in and out was simple, and there were many food options nearby.

Yelp
The venue is good acoustics for concerts. Tears for Fears is the second concert I've been to here. The parking is pretty easy in and like other places takes a while to get out of after the event. FYI the restrooms are at either end of the level for ground floor and level 2. No restrooms on level 3. For my concert they were super strict about purses not being over 3"x 6". I had a Fanny pack and had to go out it back in the car. Made it kind of difficult to carry my phone (which had my ticket) and other items like cash and credit cards- as my pants didn't have any pockets. Needless to say my iPhone 8 ran out of battery before the concert was over, since I didn't had my battery pack with me. They did have a kiosk where u could rent a battery charger (but my credit cards were in the car), and another charging station where u could plug in ur device and stand there while charging. They did have hand rails most the way up into the sections, but the section I was in only had an aisle on one side of the section. Also I was in section 209 and the view of the screen onstage was partially obstructed (I don't remember that being mentioned when I bought the ticket). Lastly, I bought 2 tickets Thru Ticketmaster and the convenience charge was $35. I thought that was steep, as the two tickets themselves were only $100 together. Next time I will drive over to the smart financial center and buy them myself.

Yelp
I got a call while at a show here that my father, who was recovering from surgery, had taken a turn for the worse and I needed to go say goodbye. Venue staff refused to take me in one of the golf carts they'd used for parking. The off duty cop they hired for security also wouldn't drive me. The kindness of strangers could have helped me get to him faster, but I had to walk all the way back to my car and I didn't make it in time to say goodbye. At least those employees got to make bank chatting in the AC while my dad died without me though, am I right?

Yelp
My wife and I saw Ron White there last night. Since he's "retired", his shows are a lot more edgier. A lot less PC. This is not the Red, White and Blue tour. Anywho, back to Smart. We Lyft in and out as we like a cocktail or two and just not gonna risk it. Parking isn't terrible but arrive at least an hour b4 - 20-30 mins b4 and you'll most likely miss the opening act and piss off everyone who has to get up to let you in while the show is going on. That's just being courteous. Smart is a great size venue for such events. There are 3 levels with plenty of concessions with food and drink. **The drinks are $$$$. One reg glass of red wine and one draft beer - $33.00. One reg glass of draft been and a dbl red wine - $53.00. Be prepared. Important note when making reservations, level 3 is always cheaper for 3 reason: 1) it's further away -duh. 2) no concessions. 3) NO Restrooms. We've been there several times but never level 3, did not know that. Maybe it's in the fine print. Anyway, a great experience. Will certainly go back, but just on level 1 or 2.

Yelp
To whom it may concern: I purchased 2 tickets to the show on 12/10/2022 and was extremely disappointed. We sat in the car for over 2 hours from 7:30pm to 9:45pm when we gave up due we still was no where near the parking lot and the show started at 8pm. I'm requesting a refund for both tickets because that was extremely unacceptable. There needs to be something done about the parking issues and the fact that we were almost hit by cars due to we were stuck in on coming traffic because the parking lot was so backed up. I have attended events at other venues and never experienced a nightmare like this one. I'm positive I'm not the only one that will be reaching out to you because it was HUNDREDS of people in my same position. The picture is at 9:30pm and we were still at the end of the line smh it was no way possible we would have seen the show!! I'm soooo upset!!

Yelp
Traffic was unbelievable parking was the worst be prepared to walk about 3/4 of a mile if you don't have handicap only one elevator no escalator. The Soundsystem was on a scale of one to 10 a 5. The third and fourth level were definitely nosebleed. The two monitors were the size of postage stamps very poor design.

Yelp
The venue its self is a 5 but the parking alone brings it down to a 3. If you are coming to this venue keep in mind you will be sitting in line to park for at least 30 minutes. They don't have enough entrances to accommodate the amount of people showing up at the same. It also doesn't help that they charge for parking making it even longer to park. Other than that the venue is great, the acoustics are good and there's not a bad seat in the house. I've never gotten food here but the drink prices are what you can expect at any concert/event. Overall, great venue but horrible parking.

Yelp
I'm not sure I am sold on this venue. The traffic control is horrible because there wasn't any. I sat in line for 25 minutes and at one point was stuck in the middle of the intersection. The internet service in this area is terrible and still has not been resolved. So if there was an emergency at the venue, unless you are perhaps a FirstNet customer, there would be an issue with calling for assistance. Pricing for food/beverages is about average. $15 for drinks etc. Seating is tight so if you have long legs prepare to be uncomfortable unless you get an aisle seat.

Yelp
Great venue. Easy access from parking lot to auditorium. Lots of options for beverages. Big bathrooms too

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place has bad reviews. I have had the pleasure of attending 3 concerts here, Keith Sweat, Anthony Hamilton, and Erykah Badu. Any large venue you attend, you will have to deal with parking. I love 20 minutes from this place. We always come in at the light, never do the u-turn off of 59, and we get in pretty quickly. -The facility is very clean. -The parking attendants are wonderful and nice. -The ushers are pleasant as well -We always interact with the bartenders, and everyone just has a great vibe. -You will do some walking from the parking lot to your seats, but I have never worn heels to concerts. -Restrooms are VERY clean. Someone was always in there keeping it up. -Sound system is great -Once you are inside, getting to your seats is not a hassle. -Love the size, not too small and not too big. -There is a bag policy, so ladies, just get you a cute clear bag from Amazon. I received compliments on my $9 bag. Tip for parking: -We always back in and park along the row towards the street. It's so easy to find your vehicle after the concerts. Plus, it was easy to pull out and get in line to exit.

Yelp
I think it's pretty ridiculous to have to pay for concert tickets AND $15 for parking! Where you just sit in 20+ minutes of traffic - HOW?! I counted over 6 police officers directing traffic and everything was still slow. STOP being so greedy geesh!

Yelp
Venue is beautiful, but criteria are ridiculous. Some staff are positively draconian about purse dimensions of 6x4. Many of us were forced to return to our cars. Literally pulled out a ruler and my purse was 8x4. Nope! Later I saw MULTIPLE people with bags that were easily 18x12. Concert was excellent, but staff walking back and forth in front of you, even sweeping nonexistent detritus during the concert, was extremely distracting and detracted from enjoying the show. As I had no purse, and no pockets, I couldn't purchase anything without having my husband with me. Probably would have bought some concert merchandise and/or another drink had I had my wallet. Seriously disappointed in this venue.

Yelp
My wife and I attended the Heart concert on 6/17/25. My wife uses a wheelchair full time. To enhance our experience, we purchased the Extras Package for the pre-show in the Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land Lounge. We arrived 1 1/2 hours before the show and all the handicap parking was fully filled. More handicap parking is obviously needed. Fortunately, the Extra Package included valet parking. After the doors opened, we went to the Mercedes-Benz lounge. The Extras Package "provides a chef-curated buffet." We looked for it with great expectation. The variety was good and looked appealing. However, all the hot food was cold which ruined the experience. When leaving the lounge, we encountered an issue with the elevators. The only handicapped seating is on level 3. On our night, one of the two elevators was out of service. We had to wait in line for 30 minutes for that one small elevator that was also being used for food cart deliveries. The seating in the handicapped section on level 3 was fine if you don't mind being near the back. Our feeling is Smart Financial center needs to offer lower-level seating that does not require elevator access. With only one elevator in service, we left the Heart Concert before the end to avoid another long queue at the elevator. I can summarize our experience on two points. First, you need to be aware of the handicapped accessibility issues and especially the dependence on the elevators. Second, save your money and don't add the Extras Package in the Mercedes-Benz of Sugar Land Lounge.

Yelp
First let me say that I liked this venue a lot when we went to see Darryl's House with Todd Rundgren. The sound is great and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. Here's the downside: On the website, it said the how started at 7, but on the tickets, it said 7:30. I never looked at the website because I just ordered tickets online and that was that. This caused us to miss almost all of Todd, who I really went to see. I was so upset I almost cried, truly. What little we did see of Todd was fantastic. It was very disappointing. I contacted the venue afterword to politely express my dismay. The one and only way you can contact them is via email. They offered to comp me tickets to another performance. We went back and forth a couple of times, with me checking in at least 4 more times with no response. This is terrible customer service. Don't say you will do something and then not. Just don't promise in the first place. Just say "Sorry" and be done with it. I don't have time to follow up with someone 4 times. I do that at work all day long. It's annoying as hell! Like the other reviews, I will share that yes, the drinks are expensive but the service is good, and you expect it to be expensive. The walk from the parking lot is long, parking is expensive.

Yelp
This was by far, the worst experience at a concert I have been too. I have been to other K-pop band shows, that have been super smooth. The wait was by far the worst part. We were outside in line for over an hour and half. Security was tight which I'm 100% ok with. Having more areas set up for checking fans in, would have been great, or a line just for phone checks no bags. That whole process was a joke. The staff that works there are nice, seemed clean

Yelp
This is a nice venue. Came here for GHOST! First time I've been here and honestly I liked it enough I would come see another show here. Their parking lost is huge. Thankfully I get to park closer because my feet suck. But plenty of parking all around. Got inside and it's not gigantic, but it's well laid out. All the signage is huge and easy to read. It's clean. Staff everywhere. It's legit. Let's take a second to talk about sound dampening. They do it so incredibly well. In the lobby Volbeat started and you could faintly hear it as if the doors were shut, but you walk through this buffer room and boom. Full blown concert. It's amazing. Very well designed. Seats were in good shape. Comfortable. Concessions was expensive as hell. One thing I absolutely hate is price gouging. They all do it, not singling them out but jc I hate it. So long story short. Nice place. Come listen to music here.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Smart Financial Centre for a comedy show in New Years Eve. First the parking is not ideal, long lines and long walk but I like that you can pay in advance and they can scan your phone. Also your tickets were able to be downloaded to apple wallet. The event center is extremely nice with 2 floors. Our seats were on the second floor and there are large monitors on both sides of the stage where you can see the entertainers pretty clearly. Both floors have several concession stands which served alcoholic drinks and beer in addition to snacks. Mask weren't required but there were very few people that I saw that weren't wearing one. It's a great venue for concerts and entertainment. I will visit again.

Yelp
If you want to feel unwelcome and treated like you're beneath somebody, then do I have the place for you! I went to go see Kevin Hart last Saturday and bought VIP tickets. I wanted to sit front row, but I also wanted to explore the suite area. As soon I enter the elevator to go to the VIP area, the man pressing the buttons in the elevator greeted us by complaining. He was bad mouthing the prior patron who entered the elevator before us. I'll come back to the elevator man later. When we sat down at a lounge table, it took us 10 minutes before we even got a hello. When we tried to order, we were told they only had appetizers. No big deal. We ordered pizza and a bottle of Pinot noir. When our waitress brought the wine, it was warm. I asked how they store their wine, and she said they only chill white wine and keep the red wine in a closet. So I asked for a bucket of ice, but they said only suite members can have a bucket. I literally had to convince the waitress to bring a bucket. Mind you there were only 8 people in the whole area at the time. After another ten minutes go by, she finally brought us a bucket of ice. If you're curious how much a bottle of vino and a flatbread cost, well it's about $120. No big deal. I expect this after purchasing VIP Lounge access. My whole gripe is the ticket sales people hyped up the Lounge area, but there are NO perks! After the show, btw Kevin Hart was amazing (understatement), we wanted to hang out in the Lounge area to have a drink so we're not fighting traffic. As soon as we get in the elevator, the man pressing the buttons was saying we have to go home, and he kept saying people need to leave. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Obviously I ignored him. After having a drink, I went downstairs to give my valet ticket to the two girls who were in charge of handling the VIP Suite area. After 20 minutes of waiting for our car, I went outside to get my car. Unfortunately it was an identical car, so I tried to go back inside to wait with my wife. The lady snapped at me when I tried to go back in and said, NO you can't come back in. I literally said, I thought it was my car, but it wasn't. They said, once you leave, you can't come back inside. I was literally gone for 30 seconds. It would have been nice if she warned me before going outside. The venue is great, but the hospitality is the worst I've ever seen! They are a bunch of snotty Karens who are abusing their power. I definitely won't ever go back.

Yelp
Great place for a mid-size concert event. This is a newer and modern venue, they keep it really clean, seats are comfy, and the temperature was perfect (not too hot or too cold, tricky to do in large gatherings in Houston. Easier to get to than many venues and after the show the cars got out pretty quickly. Cash ID not accepted ANYWHERE here, do bring a debit or credit card. Parking is $15 but if you buy a pass the SAME TIME you get your concert tickets it is only $10. Acoustics could be better, but still a nice venue.

Yelp
Sound / Acoustics - From a purely acoustic and performance POV, it was excellent for Wrath of Khan and Shatner's Q&A afterward. Parking - The parking that I'd been warned about was a non-issue, and ZERO reason to pre-pay (for almost twice the price with Ticketmaster fees!). Food/Drink - The food choices are atrocious in both variety and cost. No using cash for anything. Security - Initial screening was smooth and efficient. Then there's the matter of actually getting down to your seat. Stopped no less than THREE TIMES in 50 feet trying to get to my seat. Seating - The floor seating is T-I-G-H-T. Good luck with two big folks next to you. Not enough height differential to overcome tall folks in the row in front of you either. No separation between seats also means good luck taking off your coat to hang on the back. Barely any space to set your drink/food down either. TLDR - This place is ideal for shorter performances, but longer stuff makes the folding-chair seating and spacing less than comfortable. Security needs to get a grip. Better bring that debit card, and hope you aren't really hungry.

Yelp
They are not ready for prime time! #toyotacenter for the win. They aren't interested in using signage or being helpful in any way whatsoever if you are picking up concert goers.

Yelp
The parking is beyond horrible. No other venue has such terrible parking. We sat in parking traffic for 45 minutes that barely moved. I don't plan on ever going back.

Yelp
We saw Mellencamp here last night. I had read some reviews about parking so I was a bit nervous. However, my experience was nothing but positive. Attendants were friendly, parking went quickly, bartenders were helpful and fun. I had to return to my car because my wristlet was surprisingly too big but that was my own fault for not reviewing their measurement policy. It had been fine at other establishments including the Toyota Center so I assumed it would be here as well. But no biggie, it literally took 6 minutes there and back. Overall, I was pleased with this venue and had a great night at our concert. Those people that complain about over priced drinks must not get out much lol.

Yelp
This place has the ability to easily be a five star rating, but the staff organization for big events like graduation or work related events makes my head spin. For instance, for one work related event I was stuck outside in a long line, while it was ridiculously hot outside. They could not process us in fast enough-because of security. Coworkers that had to carry water bottles for medicine, were forced to discard, despite the fact that they created this situation, by taking so long, otherwise, no one would be drinking water trying to survive in the heat. The parking situation is also heinous, having to pay 15 to get in and fight to get your way out. However, my main issue is still with the staff organization. One year, a coworker had to yell at a staffer, because they wouldn't let us in a restricted area, where we needed to be, which they were told in advance. Half of the group would be in attendance in the audience the other half backstage. These situations are hard, because they are work related for me and it's not like I can complain. However, I can warn other people before bringing their organizations over here. The positives? The venue is pretty. So is the landscaping. Once you are inside, the staff has always been courteous and professional. Even the vendors are nice, though the prices-eh not so much. They do have elevator service, which is weird, when you only see that in film. That does happen here. My main qualm with staffers are those with security and anyone outside that organizes large events, as they all seem to be on different pages. I think once they get better at communicating, things will improve.

Yelp
Worst place in Houston to see live music. Traffic is a nightmare getting in. They. Everyone is slowed down to pay for parking or show their passes. You have to walk a long distance to get in. Many staff members we've encountered aren't friendly either. The ushers inside are aggressive and pompous. Waited in a major traffic jam for ONE HOUR just outside the venue to get in to see Stephanie Mills, Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle. Shows were delayed and Patti LaBelle only had 30 mins to perform. I heard many say they'd never go back. They haven't even claimed this page, so I doubt anyone in a position to fix the issue will even see this.
