I was excited to finally try this place out tonight.
I stopped in on their grand opening a couple of weeks ago to get familiar with what they had to offer and how reservations work.
Basically, you gotta pay to play, and reservations are best during peak hours. Reservations are easy on their app. Plus, signing up for their rewards gives you free $$ to use towards the reservation fees. Reservations are per person, not per event. So if you have a party of 6 for ax throwing, it'll cost $30 per person for a total of $180. You can choose the length of the reservations for up to 3 hours.
Reserved activities include pickleball (you can bring your equipment or rent it. Don't think they have "locker rooms" to change/ shower in, though), ax throwing, duckpin bowling, darts, and karaoke. Cornhole is FCFS. There are cabanas overlooking the cornhole area. Also, multiple tables in/ around the bar area had giant connect 4 boards. Something to do while sitting and eating/ watching others or the giant TVs.
There's a 2nd floor that is 21+. That is where you'll find the darts and karaoke room. For karaoke, it's a special suite with lounge couches and at least 2 giant TVs with a door to shut for privacy. No one outside the room can hear you sing. But it's $50/ hour to book.
So tonight, I had great service with checking into our reservation at the front desk. And then found our Ax throwing guide in that activity area. There are lots of tables behind the throwing lanes for food, drinks, storing winter coats, and such. These tables are to be designated for the players. Once at a table, the Ax throwing guide had us fill out a waiver. Then he did a tutorial on how to throw/aim the ax at the wall and reviewed safe handling of the ax. Each lane has a projector on the wall, so you can play different games besides bulls-eye. Search through your lane computer for all gaming options, 10 throws per game. The 2 of us during an hour played 6 games.
The ax throwing area had its own server. She was attentive with orders, drink refills, getting to go boxes, and the check paid quickly when we were ready to leave.
Drinks: espresso martini. It tasted good but only had 3 swallows in the glass. Give me the shaker for a refill. Friend: Smash Park Moscow Mule. She liked it. Much bigger ounce size than mine.
Food: Bang Bang Shrimp. Yummy! Big pieces that I thought they were chicken nuggets. And garlic fries. It was also tasty but got old towards the end. Garlic Truffle aioli was amazing. Friend: Poutine and Pickleballs. I tried the Poutine. The braised pork was delicious. Didn't try the pickleball appetizer, but by the time my friend ate it (we were throwing ax's), it was no longer hot, and the cheese recongealed. So eat immediately.
It was a fast-paced, energetic night. I'm sure we'll be back to try out something else. Duck bowling, perhaps! Thank you for choosing Roseville for this establishment! It's a great location in a new redevelopment area that's thriving.
