We went to Smasha after it was recommended by a friend. The location of the restaurant is a little isolated and you really need to plan going there because there is no chance to randomly find it walking on the street. Now for the burgers - they are pretty good. Think of ShakeShack and McDonald’s having a child - that’s Smasha. Fries were good too.

I’ve had plenty of smash burgers in New York, and Sma.sha is easily in my top 3—maybe even number 1. Great ingredients, amazing flavor. Definitely worth it! Quick service!

Smasha in Long Island City is a must-try for halal, grass-fed smash burgers. The patties have those perfect lacy, crispy edges with a juicy, beefy center that tastes unmistakably fresh. The bun is soft yet sturdy enough, lightly toasted so it holds up without getting in the way. I went for the double with jalapeños, and it slapped: clean heat, great crunch, and the house sauce ties everything together with a savory, tangy finish. Each bite balances texture and flavor. Friendly service, quick turnaround, and you can taste the quality in the beef. Plenty of seating, clean, and a nice view outside. If you like a classic smash done right (and halal), get the double with jalapeños and extra sauce. New favorite in LIC, 3 minute walk from the E train.

Nice spot in LIC, stopped in to try was really solid quality burger and fries. Was nostalgic eating here the fries are made in beef tallow and just hit different. They just open so all menu items not available but would definitely try again also halal !

Top notch service, staff and facility. This is a pick up or dine in spot. Just order on Uber or DoorDash. Great spot only halal and grass fed beef that’s seed oil free. People complaining don’t realize this isn’t in and out or five guys . This is a gem…We DO NOT have clean and delicious inexpensive burgers! Must try and stop complaining!!!! Like that’s it’s tucked away.

Really good burgers, fresh and light and perfectly salted. Note the crispy patty edges, that’s highlight! The sweet potatoes are crispy and not too sweet.

Amazing natural and interior design when entering the restaurant. Staff were super funny and inviting which is totally different than most burger joints here in NYC. Vibe is more calm as well.

Burgers here are great, and the beef tallow fries are super simple but really tasty. I usually like thinner patties, but the double is perfect. They're still in their soft opening, and I'm excited for when they fully open and add milkshakes. Definitely something this area needed. Even better they use seed free oil and I can tell the difference as I don't feel sluggish the next day. Plus they use halal meat so it doesn't have additives.

Cool spot to have stumbled across as the other places around it are worth coming back to and just hanging out there is nice. Ordered the smash burger, fried chicken sandwich, regular fries and sweet potato fries. They had some seats outside so you order and can eat it right there picnic style. They utilize kiosk style order but we ordered online to save time. The food was prepared before the estimated time and looked like it was sitting there for a bit. No worries just wish they would have provided accurate times. Due to this the food temperature was not ideal and affected the taste and texture. The burger was good but to be honest nothing unique about this and similar to shake shack with some Big Mac sauce. The chicken sandwich got soggy and was a mess to eat as the bread melted off. The fries were ok and wish they were warmer but even so the texture and taste were just ok. All in all happy to try it, find a cool place to hang out and will explore the other side places in the area.

Best burger spot in NYC 10 out of 10 will definitely will recommend. The place is clean and welcoming, and smells amazing. Staff knowledgeable and helpful. Quick service too!

New place by Focal Point. Fantastic smash burgers. Inside seating is very no frills but it's the food that is really special. Nice crispy edges on the meat and soft Martin's potato buns. I'm a fan of the burger sauce too.

super soft bun and the burger was so nice n buttery. fries were thin n crispy, reminded me of mcdonald's! only wish that it came w the sauce tho cus u have to pay for it on the side & it only comes like half full but otherwise very yummy
