First time eating Smash Burger Yeffery was very friendly and great at answering all our questions about the food.Kids eat free on Wednesdays which was a pleasant surprise. We all wanted hit dogs which are 100% beef. We ordered Americana's. This is the ckassic keychup, mustard, sweet relish and diced red onion hot dog, reminiscent of a baseball game hot dog from years ago.We tried the Smash Fries which smelled delightful they come tossed in light rosemary oil and sprinkled with rosemary and tots which were hot and crispy. Great service and good food! I highly recommend.

These burgers are probably the best I’ve had in all of Massachusetts so far. Smashburgers serves fresh and juicy burgers with a generous side of fries. The service can be slow, but they eventually deliver a memorable meal. The atmosphere is cramped, and the tables and floors aren’t always cleaned up after customers leave. But their food is on point, and I highly recommend it.

I came in with a bunch of friends half my friends received receipts with numbers and the other half received racist receipts my Asian gf received a receipt (without asking names) she received china and my white friend received blanco not only is this the name they gave us this is the name they put on the receipt (Update) The manager said he would reach out to me I emailed this email and was not even responded to they gave me a auto response from corporate the lady who did this is still working at this location Kenia your star customer service member. it seems Smashburger supports racism against Asians while being owned by jolibee I guess I’ll have to reach out to them next.

Wanted to get a quick bite away from the busy and crowded areas downtown and was really impressed by the food and the team working at Smashburger on Boylston! Pedro was excellent with management and customer service and the entire team was friendly, hardworking, and had good attitudes and work ethic. Burgers were reasonably priced, had allergen-friendly options, and fry portions were generous. Definitely recommend stopping by here for fast and friendly service if busier sit-down restaurants in the area aren't what you need!

I eat at this Boylston St location almost everyday. It’s my favorite lunch spot In the area and the food is real good. Chicken Tenders are amazing! Make sure to grab the bbq sauce. Now that they have the $4.99 menu items, there is no competition for lunch. The best thing about this location is the staff. They are very friendly and will make sure you know about all the latest specials and offers. The store manager is great as well, I can see she runs and treats her staff like family and they never look like they don’t want to be at work. Great overall experience. If you are in back Bay area definitely make sure you check out Smash burger.

Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with pretty much every aspect except for the speed which we received our food. Unfortunately, we waited for almost 5 minutes before someone came to the register to take our order. When we received our food, the burger was extremely salty, the only reason I finished it was because I was hungry. Also, the cooks in the back were staring at my family for most of the meal. Considering how much we paid, I would not be returning here. The experience and the food was not worth it.

very nice and quiet inside and has a lot of seating and space for privacy and the burgers are genuinely so delicious and so worth the price I would choose these burgers over five guys and shake shack any day ✋

I stopped by this Smashburger in search of two things. A filling meal, and a restroom for paying customers. I was thrilled to be served with both. The burger i got was delicious on the egg bun used. Adds a special flavor to the cushion that is the bun. The sweet potato fries were 9.8/10 salted perfectly. Staff was very friendly and seemingly family or very close. I enjoy seeing many hard workers here in Boston

The nicest things I can say are that it wasn't crowded at lunch and the staff were both competent and friendly. I had a very average chili cheese dog here. The classicsmash burger my friend had was a far better choice. Though it was pretty heavy on the sauce.

$21.38 is too much for two Smash chicken sandwiches and a shake when it's carried in a small cup. This is a nice establishment, well liked by the staff, the tots are Gucci the fries are bomb and don't get me started on the mouth watering burgers..is what I would've said over a year ago before going there tonight! Like I said, I had ordered two smash chicken sandwiches with: lettuce, tomatoes and American cheese, no mayo with a strawberry shake. When I get my order I check and I see only 1 sandwich. I explain to the guy, (it's even stated on the receipt stuck to the bag) dude takes a sandwich out of some random bag. Come to find out it was mine they for some reason put it in a separate bag smh. In conclusion; those sandwiches were salty, only one had tomato and my only regret was not going to Tasty Burger instead. 0/5 or 0/10 DO BETTER

This is my go-to burger spot whenever I'm craving something quick on Boylston. The service is consistently warm and welcoming, and the food is prepared with care and efficiency. The dining areas are always clean, and most importantly, the food never disappoints--consistently a 10 out of 10.

I returned to Smash Burger after receiving an email with a complimentary meal after a poor previous experience. The experience from last time to this time we night and day. The manager was excellent, extremely friendly and professional. The food was delicious; they didn't have the hot fries but the regular fries were still great. They acknowledged an error from a previous experience and thankfully my next experience was great!

Aug 7, 2024 Wednesday evening for dinner I ordered Double bbq bacon cheddar burger, with Onion Rings and extra bbq sauce on the side. The patties were cooked perfectly med well, the burger comes with 2 big onion rings on burger the bbq sauce was delicious the bun was soft and tasted fresh. To drink I tried a vanilla classic shake with whipped cream. The side of onion rings were cooked perfectly golden brown not oily and crunchy very tasty! Was very happy either way my order and the quality of food.

My favorite burger restaurant on the street. In a cluster of fast food take out venues, SMASH BURGER! Stands out with the amazing customer service they provide. It's an inviting atmosphere. The store is spotless clean every time I come! Even durning lunch rush. The manager China is one of the most pleasant young women I've ever met. Looking for a low carb protein style burger and the employees here helped me out. Making a lettuce wrapped burger that was delicious. The employees were so kind and attentive and I enjoyed dining in and eating. Establishment was clean. 5/5 would recommend.

Delicious (fast food) burger restaurant! The burger to bun ratio is 100% correct (not too much meat, not too much bread). I always order the same thing- chocolate milkshake, smashfries, and burger with bacon and macaroni and cheese. The shake is truly rich and decadent (non dairy options available), the smashfries are thin and crispy, and dusted with the herbs. The burger itself is juicy, and pairs so well with the macaroni and cheese, and bacon. The bread is always fresh and fluffy, I love the bun. Will continue to get my burger fix from here!

Out of the park good! I loved everything about this place especially the burger. High quality service and even better food. I think if you love a good burger you will surely give the place a shot.

Talk about a SMASHing failure. This place is absolutely horrible. Pros: food eventually gets in my mouth Cons: - so so so so slow, - service is horrible (workers sitting around with their friends), - vanilla milkshake takes 45 minutes to come out, - expensive (a burger, fries and milkshake for $21) I will never go to another Smashburger again. I would recommend throwing your money on the ground to make someone's day rather than buying a burger from here.

Was at Smashburger on Thursday evening for dinner with friends Walking in, first thing I noticed was how clean the store was. It was very well maintained despite the construction going on outside. Staff that welcomed us was very kind and the service was pretty quick. They brought us whatever that came out first, and milkshake came afterwards. I think it was okay since we were there when it wasn't too busy, but i hope the order comes all together in general. Their classic burger was nice and simple, although I wished they had their own punch point. It was a little bit disappointing in that way. Bacon brisket burger was amazing at first bite but it was definitely a bit too much - i wished they had some refreshing side that'd tone down the heaviness. We got their rosemary fries and brussel sprouts , they were both amazing - hot and crispy. Although, i think if they had a bit more flavours, such as more rosemary on fries and more salt on brussel sprout wouldv made them a lot better. Would definitely try them again!

Ordered delivery through their app tonight. Found out when the order was getting picked up that their milkshake machine wasn't working. Not sure why we couldn't have been notified of that when the order came in rather than the restaurant waiting for the delivery driver to come. When the order came, the containers for the tots and sweet potato fries were barely full, if that's a normal serving it doesn't seem worth the price. The chicken sandwich was pretty good. Then i realized the chicken sandwich i had been eating is completely raw in the middle. Overall a pretty rough experience tonight, though serving raw chicken is kind of unacceptable. I don't think I'll be ordering again and i hope i don't get sick from this tonight.

I came here for a Yelp elite event, which included a burger, side, and beverage. I ordered the classic smash burger with smash tots and a strawberry shake. It was all very fine, but probably not where I would go if I were craving a burger. The bun is interesting but the rest of it was pretty mid. The tots were well seasoned but not very hot. I came around noon and it was understandably busy. The staff were very courteous and the wait time was about 10min. There is ample seating, which is nice. The shake was a bit thinner than I expected but the flavor is nice.

It's a smashburger on a very very busy street. It's a little sleepy in here but you don't need exciting, you need a burger. I decided to get the classic burger no onions, and my order was ready relatively quickly.

I got the truffle swiss mushroom burger and it was very yummy! It was the best burger I had in my life!! Also the french fries were thin and had specks of rosemary that added a deeper taste to your old regular fries. I also got a cookies and cream milkshake that was thick and sweet! The vibes is casual but the flavor is immaculate! I highly recommend smashburger for its delicious taste, amazing service, and a good time!

Smashburger is one of my favorite restaurants but whenever I order food they get the order wrong in at least one way every time. This time I ordered a cheeseburger and a Oreo Milkshake with a side of fries. Then the order got to my house very fast( that is one thing I love about smashburger. The food is very speedy and gets to your house or table very quickly) but then I realized they forgot my Oreo milkshake which I was very bummed out about. So then I got Starbucks( which I made a review about if you wanna check it out). But this isn't the first time this has happened. Another time my mother and I ordered smashburger they forgot my mom's burger and my fries and both of our drinks. I still think smashburger is a good restaurant to eat in the restaurant but ordering smashburger is what I'm still sceptical about.

This was one of the best burgers! I highly recommend getting the truffle burger and it's really filling. The fries were really good and seasoned really well. The Oreo shake was really good and not too sweet. The service was great and the person that took my order was really nice. The food did take a long time to come out but the food was great. The inside was a blocked off but there was still many seats for us to seat.

A decent fast food burger spot!! Major pros are that the menu items are affordable and it's in a really convenient location (near the Boston Public Library). Cons are they the service is slow and the ambience feels a little messy. There was only one person in front of me and yet my order took about 15 minutes to come out, which is kind of slow for fast food. I will say that the milkshakes here are really tasty, especially the strawberry one! All in all, it's a toss up for me.

A burger place on Boylston Street near Chick Fil A and Chipotle. Like many other reviews, the service and the workers are on the slower side and the place itself seems a little run down and not cleaned up. We decided to try it since the food was able to speak for itself. I ordered a truffle mushroom burger, smashfries, and a strawberry milkshake. There are a few tables for dining in, but the workers had their personal belongings at a table so other customers were not able to sit there. The burger was on the smaller side and the truffle sauce was cheesy and light. The fries that I received were cold because they were sitting out for a while only under a heat lamp with other fries. The milkshake was good, not too thick and not too thin. Overall, this place is okay, but I would rather go to Chick Fil A or Shake Shack instead.

Turkey burger was good, ingredients were fresh, patty was juicy. Last few bites were very salty like one part of the burger got too many seasoning shakes on the griddle. French fries were seriously disappointing. Seriously! For a place that takes so long, I expected the fries to be fresh. Nope! They were room temperature and chewy and doused in truffle oil.

Best burger in Boston so tasty and crispy and the best customer service. You need to go here.

Great food however! EXTREMELY SLOW services. I have been here many times as I do so before I leave a review. I know this business is new to the area and needs to get their bearings, however it could be a lot better. The staff is not taking it seriously as a fast food restaurant and don't look like they have much help. If there is a manger on site I can't tell who it is, which is a sign, meaning they also need to keep track of the staff and help in areas needed. Overall Fantastic food, love the fries.

The bacon smashburger is actually a really good burger. The patty was juicy and crispy and was cooked perfectly. Service on the other hand was very slow. Waited about 15 minutes to be served as no one was even on the floor taking orders. We ate dine in and got the food quite fast, however was surprised to see some people who were doing take out got their food much much later than us (45 mins after ordering) and was visibly upset at their slow service.

Walked in off the street no expectation. The wonderful lady who welcomed us was upfront about the wait time because of a very large order when the first opened. About 30min wait which I'm pretty sure is unusual. Nonetheless we waited and I'm so glad we did. I ordered the double bacon burger. Man I'll tell you I have eaten thousands of burger around the country but I can say for a fact that this was the best made and tasty burger I have ever had ! It was so juicy and flavorful I couldn't stop eating it. I was full about 1/3 of the way through but made myself finish it. The staff again was great to say the least. Oh ya the wife was with me also and had the exact reaction I did when we bit into the burgers. I can't say enough about this place. The only negative where the fries but I do t care about fries. They are a little cold and stringy. But again who cares ? Thanks to the staff again for the honesty upfront and the service !! We will be back again !

i ordered from smash burger for the very first time via doordash and my milkshake came open covered no type of seal or cover. when i called the store manager his exact words were" that's policy we do not cover the drinks ??" what it my drink has been tampered with? i threw it away never will i ever order there again worst first experience ever . # wetwood location manager : brian

Ordered online for pickup. Got message saying food ready at 12:59. Was finally told at 1:15 that my food had been given to someone else by mistake, possibly a delivery guy but they would "quickly" make my veggie burger and sweet potato fries. It wasn't quick but I got the order. I can't say if they actually gave me a veggie burger. It didn't necessarily look or smell like it. I threw it in the trash. I have had hit or miss experiences with this place but today was it for me. No more. To add to all this are homeless people wandering around looking for the bathroom which is not public. This location used to be a Firehouse Subs. I wish it still was.

HOME COOKED FOOD. This place has the best food in Boston hands down. I keep coming here week after week and im just blown away every time. The service here is spot on. Don't make the mistake of not giving this place a try.

When I entered the restaurant, I smelled an amazing aroma from tables with burgers and tater tots. The workers welcomed me with open arms. My burger was phenomenal because it was so juicy and flavorful. Although I got full after the burger, I was able to get in my fries, tater tots, and Sprite. The smiles, the laughter, the vibes are so immaculate.

Very slow service and food is just okay. And no soap in the bathroom that's all I really got to say about this place

we just left Smash Burger in Medford and it was excellent! Can't say enough about Lena, who was so pleasant and friendly explaining the menu to us. we were visiting from the South Shore while my son was having surgery, and now we hope you bring Smash Burger to the South Shore for us! A little bit about me: I like to eat. Honestly, that shouldn't come as much of a surprise, neither should the fact that I love to dine out. What you might not know is that anything to do with dishes is the bane of my existence. Yes, I have a dishwasher. It's a marvelous appliance, and I would not rent an apartment without one. At the same time, a dishwasher can only go so far. One of the joys I'm going out to eat is that you don't have to worry about the unavoidable cleanup that follows. Depending on the type of place, I might place whatever remains in the trash or have everything cleared right from under me. I can be forgiving and understanding in some ways. If a place is absolutely slammed and the garbage can is filled, I might be willing to overlook that. However, when I came in on Halloween evening (around 7:30pm), there were only one or two patrons in the restaurant, if that. At the same time, the trashcan was on the verge of overflowing, and there were multiple remnants of others' meals over the restaurant. Things like straw wrappers comment and pieces of paper. The floor could have used some sweeping too. I'm not seeking three Michelin-star immaculateness. All I'm asking for is that a place I choose to eat does not resemble a college dorm of two guys whose mothers cleaned up all the messes. Now that I've spent entirely too long lambasting this place for a decided lack of cleanliness... let me attempt to tell you about the food. I ordered a single Classic Smash (came without onions due to recall). The burger took a little longer to make than I was expecting. Though I recognize unless you have Mickey D's magic, cooking a burger patty takes time. Considering this is somewhat of a fast-food joint, I can't be too harsh when it comes to the food. The veggies were in a fair amount, balanced, and added a critical freshness and crispness. The burger patty was smashed to be thin, which is fine, only next time I'll order the double! Also worth noting that instead of the meat protruding from the bread, the bun was almost a sleeping bag covering the patty with room to spare. So, overall, the burger was alright, nothing to write home about, and a standard fast-food fare. The lack of keeping a clean space though spoiled the whole experience.

Came in here because I was shopping on newbury. We had to wait 15 minutes before we got our order taken because the cashier needed to run to help in the back, which I didn't understand because there was already 4 people back there. Now onto the food, the smash fries were extremely cold and felt like they were made during the day. Next the bacon burger and smash special chorizo burger. Our burgers were extremely dry and horribly assembled. Food was all over the place. We had to put the toppings back on the burger ourselves. My chorizo was only on one end so it was like I got a small dab and that was it. It wasn't extremely busy at all but it made it seem that way and the trash was extremely overflowed.

I'm only giving this location two stars cuz the tots are so darn tasty. This store has abysmal service, which I discovered the first time I visited last month. The staff was hanging around, congregating, bringing in food for themselves from Chick-fil-A. I ordered a simple burger, just ketchup, mayo, and pickles, and after at least a 20 minute wait, I was delivered a burger with only a slice of American cheese. Tots were good though, so I didn't complain. Thought I'd give them another chance today by ordering online through the app. I got a text stating my order was ready, but they hadn't even started cooking the tots yet. And they still managed to screw up the burger. Staff is lackadaisical at best. No wonder this store is a ghost town at lunchtime.

Crazy. Literally just took 25 minutes to get a small fry. It looks like all the Employees were outside of their work area consoling other employee that was crying at a table.

Finally tried smashburger! I've lived in copley for over 5 years and Wendy's is literally an abomination. I was SO PUMPED to see another burger place open! Came in around 7 and Miguel (I think) was the manager that took my order and gave me my food. He couldn't have been nicer! 5 stars for the service and 4 stars for the food. I ordered the double patty Colorado burger with the tater tots. Pretty good and I would get the same thing again. It came with grilled green chilies and pepper jack cheese! This would be a great spot for food after bar hopping but it's not open late!

terrible will never go again! I ordered a peanut butter milk shake asked for it to be thick and it's like drinking straight milk and this is the second time it was made! sweet potato fries hard and cold after I waited 15 minutes for my order of $23 terrible only good thing was the gentleman that served me had manners

5 stars for the burger. Absolutely 100% delicious. Probably one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. This is a review on the service and Attitude received and displayed. I know this is a fast- casual restaurant it is not fast food. We were seated across from their expo line. Just watching our food get cold after waiting 15 minutes for it. Place was not busy. The staff was more into telling stories to each other stories than get the food out. I asked how much longer it would take for our meals and was told they are bagging right now. Back to their conversation. Burgers were great like I said. The fries were ice cold. I let the person who bagged our meal the fries are cold. She told a young lady in the kitchen and her reply was "are you serious" and they debated before bringing us new fries. One new order of fries when both our orders were cold. They had a partition between their expo and the tables. There was no sign directing customers to walk on one side or the other. Every time someone walked on the expo side the young lady behind the counter would rudely yell at them. The staff was loud and obnoxious. I paid good money and even tipped them before hand. Management should have been on the floor managing their staff. The staff on will cost you business.

Don't bother. Place is not clean. Workers are apathetic. Fountain machine was inoperative. Our Food sat on counter while workers chatted with each other. Fries were cold (did I mention our food sat there?).

Top-notch and first-rate new burger place. Very friendly staff and I love the design of the space. The shakes are made with Haagen Dazs ice cream -- so they're amazing, the burgers are solid (veggie options too), the first fried brussel sprouts I've seen in a fast food joint -- and they're great. I have to go back to get the haystack onions that they were out of when I visited. Oh -- and they serve beer!

This place is disgusting. We witnessed one employee getting a check and getting accused of theft while another employee was dumping the tip cup Inter her pants. She was on the phone and running around the store while running her hand through her hair. Our burger sat on the counter for over 30 minutes, Food would go into our to go bag and get removed to fulfill other orders. Sloppy business and shady things going on. I had them refund our order and was told they could not refund the tip they did not deserve. Free food was given out to random people who would request food . Obviously people they knew . What is going on at this place?! Zero stars

Food was bad/cold because service was bad. I read many other reviews stating the same concerns on lack of customer service as well as bad attitude coming from employees and realized that this has been going on for this location for a while now. Nothing seems to be changing, and upper management has not stepped up to intervene. Got to the pick up counter, asked the lady who was bagging orders where I should wait for my order, her only response was "give me a minute". Then after 30min of watching her hand over other people's food and turning always many that has asked for the same ETA, I finally went up and asked her if she saw my name on the screen or on receipts, she looked around and found a bag that had already been packed, sitting behind some buckets, with the the grease already soaking through the entire bag. With no apologies offered, she just handed me the bag and looked at me, almost inviting me to call her out. Will never return again! :)

Food is always great. The staff and service here however is horrible. I'm a manager a retailer down the street so I understand staffing issues, however the lack of motivation and prioritization is simply awful. I stood for ten minutes waiting to pick up my online order. The cashier walked over to where the online orders were multiple times. Never acknowledged me. Never asked if I was waiting for food. The manager of this location offered no help to their employees when a rush of people came in. She stood behind the counter eating cake. This is not the first time that this has happened here. A few months ago I ran into a similar issue. Where I walk in and was told "we are closed" when clearly the place is open. I said I had an online order and then was told "nevermind that's fine" if the place is only open for online order pick up. It should be on the door so people don't get the wrong idea. From one customer service industry manager to another. I was very disappointed by the customer service I was given. I will not be returning to this location. It seems like whoever does the hiring here is hiring for bodies not talent or customer service. Thank you.
