Smashburger

Ordered food through Uber eats, that was my 1st mistake, my 2nd mistake was ordering smash burger. Smash burger likes to price gouge & to nickel and dime you. The burger was good...but that's where the positive accolades end. The drinks were wrong; ordered 2 unsweetened iced teas. They were sweet tea; essentially pure liquefied sugar cane. The sweet potato fries were burnt to a crisp to the point where they were inedible. Absolutely ridiculous considering the fact that you have to pay for each item individually that would normally come as part of a combo meal at any other burger establishment. Very poor quality all around. If I could give it lower than 1/5 stars, I would.

This place was very neat. The staff was young but attentive (usually you don’t get both traits most places). The food was pricey but it came out fast. Smashburger definitely isn’t my first choice for a burger and won’t be still. However I have to give props to this location for being chill and having a great staff!

Yoseline was a phenomenal host by giving patience to the me the customer as well as a satisfied listener who gave me my respect here in Smashburger. She is very hard working and dedicated person who really try’s to give customers that well deserved recognition inside of the restaurant. I do prefer her to even get a raise as well as a compliment from her upper management.

I saw a lot of comment sections that didn’t write very well. Actually it’s not bad, just the bread got really dry, otherwise, pretty good. By the way, download the smashburger app and u can get a free burger right away!!!!!!

It was pretty good. I had never had smash burger before. The burger did not come smashed at all. Everything was not smashed. Eventhough the name us misleading the food was good. And the have something to drink that isn't soda.

I’ve always wanted to try Smashburger and given this was my first time it didn’t disappoint the patties were charred just right with a soft bun and fresh veggie this was a close to perfect burger!

The place was clean. I got a build your own single burger with lettuce tomato pickles and red onion. I thought it was a bit dry and could have used a bit more seasoning, but not bad.

Extremely helpful staff with our multiple differing dietary restrictions. Yoseline our order double checked our more complicated request. And was very friendly. The food came fast.

hey i'm not gonna lie they're solid burgers. can't hate i ate it up. a little odd that the toppings are assembled separately, but they gave us plenty of condiments and the burgers were alright. decently fast service and sweet staff who understand the hustle and bustle of airport life! nice and cozy spot to sit on the side as well. and the tater tots were DELICIOUS so good if you get anything get the tater tots. wow

The food was already good and the servers come out to your table come out to your table because now they have a patio and it's really cool to sit out there and people watch you should drop by and grab a burger and some fries and take in downtown

They always burn the cheese idk if it's a preference or not haha burgers are pretty bomb still.

This was my first time trying Smashburger. I ordered a classic single smashburger combo with cheese, no onions or tomatoes. My biggest issue was portion size. Especially the minuscule amount of fries provided. Flavor wise I wasn't disappointed. The burger was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed the few fries I had.

Evelyn was VERY pleasant and efficient. I was happily surprised they had crispy Brussels sprouts on the menu. Only slight negatives: The men's bathroom needs at least a painting and on the day of my visit a repairman was fixing an inside door with a loud power drill. Maybe such work could occur before or after hours.

Amazing food and even better experience eating and having quality time with friends very friendly environment and amazing costumer service!

Friendly crew, Delicious food, and convenient location! Best mushroom Swiss burger I've ever had!! And their fries are top tier! Definitely recommend!!!

I tried sending feedback in and both delivery receipts do not include the store number. Online it is not found. Then, the website has no link where it says they value your feedback, just the privacy notice with plenty of email addresses if you have privacy concerns. My GOD do you want feedback for your stores or not? So anyway, I just ordered delivery and my order was extremely fast and accurate. I have a few food allergies and sometimes when it's busy I get cheese on my food, which scraping off doesn't prevent the anaphylactic response. I won't die, I just want to for days until symptoms subside. So maybe have the staff that got my order together quick and correct promotions to revamp the website. You have no way to contact other than calling. Nobody wants to be on the phone That you want to hear from, I promise. Thanks for the delicious food and quickness.

the guy with the dumb beard wouldn't feed us and we were upset and they weren't event closed

Walked in front lady was on her phone, server was constantly on her phone. They don't greet you they are rude and have the nerve to ask for a tip fora to go order. I'm choosing not to return to this location and I'm surprised the owner has not made any changes. There is a video feed that can verify all this. Chicken was not cooked throughout

Great, perfectly cooked burgers and the gals working up front were attentive and just vibrant. Been working in downtown for 3 years and first time going to this downtown location, and glad I have a new spot I can go to. Onion rings were still crispy even though they were a pickup order and took about 15 minutes before I ate them. Yum!!

Horrible experience today and in March of this year. They had 7 orders on the screen, a counter full of dine in food, and the crew got overwhelmed. They told us they would not be taking orders for 10-15 minutes so they could catch up. Atleast 5 people left the line, but I waited since it was the closest one to my gate. They had enough crew members (4 in the kitchen and 3 in the front), but everyone appeared to be young and inexperienced. No one was in charge. Once I received my food, the burger was burned and crunchy. They need to do better.

We ordered delivery from this restaurant today for our office. I ordered the double avocado bacon Smashburger with a side of crispy Brussels sprouts and haystack onions for us to split. One of my friends ordered the black bean Baja burger with Smash fries and another ordered the Classic Smashburger and Smash fries. Our order was delivered within an hour l, which was fine. Everyone enjoyed their food. As for my burger, the patties on the burger were dry, even with the avocado and dressing. The crispy Brussels were amazing! I like that any burger can be made vegetarian by substituting a black bean patty. Burgers range from $6.50 up. Large fries or a side of Brussels are about $4.50-$5.00. Definitely a nice Friday splurge!

I came get a fountain drink, stood there for about five minutes and nobody acknowledged my existence and at least three of four people working there were on their phones texting. The one girl who was actually doing any work was filling the bags of a delivery guy. There were no other customers in the store except me and him. I live next-door. I won't go there again.

A dearing letter to management: Tell your employees to fill up my choccy milkshake more than halfway. I'm a fool for coming back here.

I've been to Smashburgers across the country over the last decade, to more individual locations than I can count, and one thing they all have in common is how often they mess up orders (way more than any other restaurant chain). I'm sad to say that this visit was no exception, and what's worse, when I alerted the staff that my fries were normal fries instead of Smashfries, he tried to gaslight me by telling me that they were indeed Smashfries because there were little green specs of herbs. Well, I'm quite familiar with the flavor and texture of Smashfries, and I can confidently say these were not that. He offered to bring me some oil and herbs so that I could re-toss them myself, but I declined to go through the effort. What I would have liked was to have them make actual Smashfries, not just have some herb reside from a previous preparation on my regular fries.

One job. It's not that hard. Got the whole order completely wrong. Paid $21 for two burgers and DoorDash was kind enough to refund $10. Still couldn't eat the burgers because I'm allergic to ketchup and tomato's and they added both to both burgers... nice. Don't go to this location, they clearly don't know the basics of making correct orders. Very disappointed. I like Smashburger but not this location. Don't think I'll return to this chain in general.. I'm done lmao

Terrible service, we walked in and there were several employees standing around but no one acknowledged us. We had to go ask at the kitchen window for our to go order. When we opened the food, the order was wrong and the orders of fries were less than half full. When I tried to call to speak with them (less than 10 minutes after we'd picked up the order), no one answered the phone. Clearly a disorganized location with no supervisor present in the evenings. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Awful. Smells like urine from the homeless. Not clean at all. Jay at the front is very political and you can tell by his rudeness he doesn't like certain people. Tables are broken. Just don't go here.

The food we got tasted good. Let's start there. We ordered two different burgers and wings. The wings were great, exactly what we ordered. The burgers were both totally botched. They added part of one burger to the other, left out half the ingredients on my burger, and didn't even include the Brisket at all. Mind you not, that was $4 extra dollars. Basically half the price of the burger. i love when this happens and they give you the receipt, because it clearly shows what was supposed to go where, like a childrens game. They must have been cooking with blindfolds on. If your workers put this kind of effort into anything else in life, someone pray for us LOL.

Shoutout to Smashburger for being an Equal Opportunity Employer! Giving employees the opportunity to eat burgers and fries while working the grill, and register is truly cool to watch. The leniency of management must be well deserved. On a side note, waiting in line, while the cashier plays on her phone, eating food while we watch and waited to place our orders was definitely worth the wait for a genuinely tasty meal. At least she washed her hands (after I asked) when she decided to look up after watching that silly YouTube video. I think the owner operator should celebrate these employees with a call to the health department for further clarification of cleanliness and safety protocols.

Dirtiest bathrooms I've ever seen on 16th St., and that's saying something. Made me want to wash my hands before, during, and after each bite i took. Pretty ridiculous even considering you need a code to get into it. Customer service was minimal in 2 ways, 1: this poor girl was taking orders and delivering them, should have been 2. 2: she didn't say or do much, doing absolute minimum for her job. Fries were great, mushroom burger was average. I think it's bc i lost my appetite going to the bathroom beforehand.

Stopped at 16th St location prior to attending a play. We were greeted upon entering by a very friendly employee named Scotty. He took our order, brought it to us and we exchanged friendly conversation with him as he worked refilling supplies and tidying up the restaurant. We thought he was the manager as he was very conscientious about his tasks. I hope whoever is his boss recognizes what a good worker he is. Thank you.

Tasty, hot & fresh. The restaurant is a bit small and cramped. So come for the food not the ambiance.

The food is ok sometimes, and sometimes it's not. While the cheeseburgers are sometimes hard to finish, the atmosphere is pretty good. Good for local hungry teenagers on a budget, but I still recommend places like Chipotle to the youth. A little overpriced, but only by change.

While many people are quick to complain about every little issue, not many will praise when deserved. This location can get extremely busy and mistakes happen. That is understood but what make a difference is how they handle it. I had redeemed 1800 reward points for a burger and shake, but it did not reflect on my order and I had to pay full price. After submitting multiple requests to corporate and no rely after 3 weeks I went back to the store. Mario reviewed my evidence and recognized that I simply wanted to redeem what I was entitled to. He comped my meal and I am a happy customer. Thank you Mario for your understanding and desire to help.

There was a super mean lady when we first walked in and she made it a big deal to refund bacon that they didn't have at the end of the day this terrible terrible organization and I would never suggest coming to eat at this dog shit smash burger and I've generally never been sooo dissatisfied with not only the food but also the customer service

Really poorly run: 1. Out of black bean veggie burgers when we were there. One of the four of us is vegetarian and the black bean burger is the one veggie option. 2. Bathrooms are as gross and uncared for as a truck stop. See photo of soap dispenser sitting in the sink. 3. The food runner constantly touched her hair and mouth and then touched the plates with food. Zero awareness of how gross hat is. Bottom line: the fries were great and the rest of the experience was bad. They need an adult in the room to over see things. Feels like the manager is really absentee.

1st time ordering. Website makes it seem so good: order had to have been sitting there for over /2 hour and we were early to pick it up. My Smashburger Fries (rosemary) were NOT that, regular, soggy, cold yucky to the point even my dog wouldn't eat one. My order was a bacon cheeseburger with an extra slice of American cheese, cost a buck but no cheese and the burger was cold, the "fried onions) were soggy and awful. it's not like they were busy, all 3 staff were standing around talking. Never ever again.

Shakes or New Belgium Beers half off of $3.50 after 4pm at this location only. It's damn good for a fast casual burger. Better taste than Five Guys and more options than In-N-Out. Plus it's from CO support the home team!

Avoid this place, even though no line at 1:30 in afternoon it took 15 minutes for a chicken sandwich and fries and they brought the wrong sandwich. Didn't want to wait another 15 min, so I choked down a mildly warm grilled chicken sandwich minus the limp lettuce. $14 could have been better spent anywhere else.

I mean it's not terrible but it's also not really good lol The burgers are sort of like an upgraded McDonald's or something but for my money I would probably rather go to McDonald's because I love the fries there. This place feels like you're in the inside of a Burger King, it's ghetto and dirty. Of course outside is absolutely a nightmare on the 16th St. mall. For your money I would say avoid this place unless you're staying nearby and just want fast food it's perfect for that, don't come here thinking you're gonna have a good time sitting down, you don't want to sit in there. Get it and go if u need a burger

Food: I ordered a bacon cheese burger and a bottle of Ranger IPA. It may not look very good, but it tastes good. You may be able to get a better burger elsewhere, but there is a bigger and better variety available on the menu at Smashburger. Service: It's a fast food restaurant. You place your order and take a number to your table. They'll bring out the food to you when it's ready. No problems here. Location: Pretty convenient if you're in the Downtown area. Just a few steps away from the free 16th Street MallRide bus line.

Victor was the sweetest person in Smash Burger I have ever met! These two rude ass bitches did not want to take our orders and said it right in front of our faces! However, Victor was the only guy who put his immaturity to the side and took our order and gave us our order by hand!!! If you guys go here, make sure you guys have victor! Will take your order and will make sure he gets your order out right away!!!

They be living in rations giving half a cup of ranch n shit. My boys shake isn't even filled all the way up. Honestly I'm disappointed

I love Smashburger, but this location is kind of a gamble. The first time I came, all the food was good, but the staff were rude and overall unprofessional. The second time, the staff were nice (but busy), and the food was subpar. My boyfriend's order was wrong, and the soda from the machine had a distinct unclean taste. Both times, the staff was frantic and disorganized even when the restaurant wasn't busy. All in all, it's fine- no better, no worse- but don't base your opinion of Smashburger on this location.

I walked in and there were 3 people in the dining call. The kid behind the counter told me they were not taking orders for 20mins because "they were so far behind". The same kid was also packing food, he ran his hands through his hair 4 times before I walked bout while packing people's food. There was also another person "assisting" with food packing who just stood there and did absolutely nothing. The tables were unclean, food sanitation obviously isn't taken seriously here. Trash bag on the floor like they started to take out the trash than just left it. The only person in the entire place actually working was a blond girl trying to make food as fast as she could wile the rest of the staff stood there clueless.

Fix your scanner so I can add and redeem my points. I have to add points manually. I was told that they will not scan the app anymore. It's been 3 months since your scanner worked. Good luck trying to redeem your rewards here. Location is 16th street mall.

Cobb salad anyone? Lol. Looks like something my 3 year old threw together. Definitely not worth the $9 paid for it. Had it DoorDashed, unfortunately, because I would not have paid for this. Also, can we have a moment of silence for the saddest looking fried egg I've ever witnessed lol

I was looking forward to eating here, but was left disappointed. First the positives; the burgers themselves were fine over all. They had good flavor and the toppings were good. The person at the register was very pleasant and easy to talk to. Now some room for work; they completely mixed up our meals with other people's and didn't correct it. To their credit, the only person serving didn't seem to have any help. However, he wasn't very polite. The fries were okay, but I wasn't a fan of their "smash fries" (I didn't order them that way, but they were on the meal that we were served for someone else). The restaurant was pretty dirty, which likely makes sense after the lunch rush, and again is probably attributed to the lack of staff. One staff member was in the restroom for quite a while (I only know because our seats were right there), and he left the restroom smelling of marijuana. Not being from Colorado, I'm not sure if this is kosher during work hours, so I have no real place to judge there. Anyway, I'd like to give it another try at some point to give me another sample size, but I hope it is improved to the hype I had heard about.

Burgers have tiny patties that are about the same size as McDonalds, but at a much higher price. The bun was almost 2x the size as the burger patty! Fries were fine and the chocolate milkshake was good. I'd have to say a Whopper is better than a single Smashburger.

Hagen daz ice cream meets yuck. Worst chocolate shake I've had. I needed a burger stat! Got the big size for just $1 more and the promise of Hagen daz won me over on a chocolate shake. However. Shake tasted very odd. Like some thing went horribly wrong and had to throw it in trash. Would come back for burger but too afraid to get shake from hell again.

One of the residents in our building has us as the Concierge run to Smashburger for them quite a lot and I've got some positive and some negative things to say about this location - hence my three star rating: + The regular staff members working the counter (there's always two girls and one gentleman I see and I'm sorry I don't know names) are super pleasant! Love that they smile and welcome their customers in. + I do think their food is good tasting! - In my opinion, the price point for how much food you actually get is a little high for a fast-food type of place. - I did recently have one poor experience. I was trying to locate a receipt for a resident so that I could reconcile their debit account and unfortunately had to go in THREE different times to talk to a manager before they were able to help me. Mind you, the first time I went in, I left my phone number and all the details necessary to look up a receipt and never received a call back. 24 hours later, I went back trying to get the same receipt; still no call back. Came back 3 days later and waited about 30 minutes to be helped. Overall, good experiences, but this last one did put a poor taste in my mouth.

The girl working the register should have been doing dishes or cleaning tables. I got more than one drink and her face got all all distorted. A true mindfvck! She was literally shook by someone ordering three drinks lol My burger was gross but that's kind of expected at this location. Slop doggies, greasin the sweat for minimum wage and being like crazy rude about it. Oink

Awful customer service. Guy at reg never spoke a word. Shakes took far too long. Weird smell circulating. Kinda got the ick from the whole store.

I just had an order delivered through Uber Eats. The turkey burger was super salty, the ketchup packets had some syrupy sticky substance all over them, and they forgot my two Sprites. I also expressed my disappointment in the Uber driver for not getting the Sprites since it was written on the bag. Plenty of blame to go around. We have to stop blaming Covid for everything and get back to better customer service otherwise, there will be no customers to serve.

Thank you to the kind staff at the 16th street mall Denver location. Our train was 3 hours late and we rush through the door right at closing time. Despite this, the staff made us dinner, was kind and polite and the food was excellent. Well done. This was our first visit but we will be back whenever we are in Denver.
