A little pricey but the burgers and fries are decent and service is fairly quick. There are also ample seats at the food court, and the self service kiosks make for easy ordering.

Would definitely recommend this place if you can tank the price (around $10 per burger, fries + drinks are separately charged). The double classic & American burgers is 10/10. The patties are quite tender and sizable. The smash fries are also well seasoned, not overly salty or bland. Staff are super friendly & approachable :)

While waiting for my flight back to Los Angeles I had a lot of time and since I enjoy a good burger every once in a while, I decided to try out smash burger here at Newark Liberty Airport. While some might have had bad experiences, mine was very nice. My classic double burger was cooked perfectly. Toppings were good and in my video I mentioned relish but there is in fact no relish, my mistake. There are pickles and tomatoes and special smash burger sauce and cheese. Very delicious and I also enjoyed the smash burger fries which have garlic and rosemary on them. I thought they were quite tasty!

The crew at Smashburger is amazing. The cashier Danielle had such a beautiful personality and the cook Antonie even offered to remake my burger if it wasn't to my satisfaction. The Manager was also there in front of the store greeting guest as they arrived. An amazing staff. The burger was great and full in flavors. Thank You all.

If you want to be made fun of by the staff then go here. I ordered a milkshake and a burger and the cashier said to me while hitting her weave that she is not making no milk shake because she needs to use bathroom and turned to the cook and laughed. Prior to that she was making fun of the person who ordered before me.

I ignored the other bad reviews and regret it. The burger was raw and greasy, the fries tasted like fake rosemary oil, and the staff were rude as hell. Going to Tony & Bennys now, as I didn’t eat that horrific excuse for a burger.

First off, the tots were very tasty, and my son loved them. We bought them to take on the flight, he is dairy free, and he usually is overlooked for meals onboard! For an airport the prices were reasonable. Fountain soda is better value than the bottles. The issue was the amount of oil they were sitting in. It would have been better if they had drained or soaked up somehow it before serving. Sauces were free. Plenty of seating. Area was clean.

Yelp
Burgers were fantastic for airport food and in general for cheeseburgers. Chocolate shake had a lot of chocolate syrup, but not as much chocolate flavor. Service was good. Ambiance - it's airport so you have to find a table.

Yelp
This is a fast food restaurant specializing in smash burgers and crispy chicken. It is located in the Liberty Terrace food court. We ordered a Breakfast Burger ($8.45). It has Angus beef, fried egg, applewood smoked bacon, aged cheddar cheese, and toasted brioche bun. It tasted reasonable. The customer service was acceptable. There are dedicated indoor seating. There is free WiFi from the airport. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There are washrooms in the airport. Review 2024-057

Yelp
Ordered the chicken strips from the airport smash burger at terminal B and didn't realize it was raw until I bit into the chicken. They refunded me but not even an apology or any offer for anything else to correct the problem. Hoping to speak to management and hopefully don't get sick from eating.

Yelp
I made two laps around the food court Smashburger was in. I was determined to find a salad with protein (beef, chicken, seafood, etc.), but was having a difficult time. The menu board caught my eye when I happened to see "Cobb Salad". Cobb salads are one of my favorite when I'm hungry and don't want a heavy meal, For an airport restaurant in a food court I must say it was quite good. The chicken and the fried (that's right, it was fried, not boiled) egg were cooked upon other. The were not precooked. The bacon was thick and perfectly balanced between not too crispy and not under cooked. All the veggies seemed fresh and the overall size of the salad was decent. I don't know about the more traditional food (burgers), but the Smashburger Cobb Salad I most definitely recommend.

Yelp
So the was my first time trying a Smashburger which I've heard so much about and was itching to taste. Unfortunately, it was at Newark International Airport and I wasn't expecting it to be what you'd get at a Smashburger burger in another location. Let's face it, airport's don't typically have great food and the probate usually pretty outrageous. Not the case here. That was one damn good burger and fries. They definitely cooked it to order and it was juicy and delicious. The fries were crisp and tasty. Definitely a good burger and for airport food this was fantastic. The kicker is, I paid about $10 for the combo meal. Great deal.

Yelp
Reasonable spot to have lunch if you're stuck in the airport. It's located in terminal B (prior to security), next to the Starbucks. I got the black bean burger, and paid an extra $2 for an embarrassingly small slice of avocado. They also gave me the regular bun even though I requested the multi grain bun. But overall, not the worst airport meal.

Yelp
My wife, son and I ate at Smashburger in Newark International Airport. We each had different variations of hamburgers with cheese. I have to say, the food tasted GREAT! My son departed for another country and about 36 hours later the 3 of us were sick with varying degrees of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, achiness, and fevers of up to 101.2F. This is the only meal just the 3 of us had together, and we are the only ones we know who got sick. We've all recovered with the longest length of illness being a little over 24 hours. Let me tell you, it is NO JOKE, literally immobilized | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Chills, Fever, Body/Muscle Aches

Yelp
The place is really delicious. First time I ever had smash burger. I got a double with bacon and fries. Both the burger and fries were hot and fresh! The staff was super friendly and they kept the counter clean. My only complaint is they did not have any combo options, So my burger, fries and a water came out too $18. A bit much for fast food if you ask me.

Yelp
The food was fine. It was a pretty standard burger and fries, which was exactly what I wanted. The reason for the review is the people working there. The woman who took my order was very nice and very patient. I was finding their menu board hard to decipher and figure out exactly what I wanted. The guy after me was also being a little dense, and she was very nice to him, also. Then, when it was time for me to pick up my order, the woman handing my food to me *smiled* at me, and told me, very nicely, where the condiments, etc. were. I'm pretty used to fast food workers at airports acting like they hate you, or at the very least like they hate their jobs. It made an impression, this friendliness. I'm just saying.
