Love the thin fries and the fresh burgers! The service was amazing. The young Hispanic guy with glasses was so attentive and helpful throughout my whole experience. The only comment I have is about the Brussels sprouts they were drenched in oil but overall great experience!

Stopped by for a quick bite and went with the classic smash burger. The patty was juicy with a nice sear, tucked in a soft bun with crisp lettuce for freshness. Nothing fancy, just straightforward and satisfying.

5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The food was super good! Burgers were done to perfection! Fries are super crispy! 2. Price is awesome! Good food good price 3. Customer service was really good or better than my previous times at others place. 4. Clean bathroom and smells nice 5. Kelyn was professional and nice. Her provided good service and that’s how all fast food workers should be.

First time ever here, and we were impressed! The service was excellent, and our food came out quickly — perfect for me and my family. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and welcoming. For the price, the portions were generous enough to feed our family of four, with leftovers to take home. The SmashTots with cheese are a must-try — you can’t go wrong!

I got a vanilla shake and a chicken smash burger. Both were great and hit the spot. One of the employees, (I believe her name was Mona) helped me pick out what I should get since it was my first time here and she was also so sweet. Definitely coming back!

The guy wearing a bandana for a mask was really friendly to me. Burger had a nice char to it. Sweet potato fries were as good as I would expect. Had a decent dinner here. Thanks!

Thank you for making our experience great. Customer service one of the best in the area. Is so rare to see it now a days. The manager Kylin was great and helpful. Order didn’t take long at all fried nice and crispy burger just delicious and shake makes it perfect. 10/10 this location is great. On top of that clean place you want to eat here.

I recently had the opportunity to have lunch at Smashburger. And I highly recommend I got the double Smashburger with tomatoes onions. Also I purchased the cheese fries. My Smashburger was delicious. It was made to order fresh. I did not have to add no season and the burger was juicy. My fries was crunchy which I like the cheese sauce was really good it had a really good cheddar taste. The restaurant was very clear with seating to eat in. The condiment area was fully stocked and the tables was wiped down clean. I highly recommend.

I was having a bad night. Tired, hungry, and stuck in line behind a customer going on and on at the register like it was a return the day after Christmas. I sighed audibly - apparently it was really loud because everyone - including her - snapped their necks back to look at me! The Smashburger crew kept on smashin' it despite my displeasure. The deluxe $4.99 burger was tremendous. I'm not supposed to eat French fries because of my health but I cheated and it was well worth it - they were hot, crisp and not at all greasy. I ordered a creamy strawberry shake for the road. The cashier was very pleasant on delivery. Really great place - I'll be back when I'm in town and will try not to be as grouchy.

We like coming here. The service and food is always good, It's our son's favorite stop for fries after an appt so it's a must for him. It's quiet which is nice and we try to eat outside if possible during warm months. Tried shakes today and they were awesome! We've never had a complaint about this place.

Went there for dinner gathering after our group workout activities. There were three tables taken before we arrived. The wait time for each order was about five minutes after payment. The Spicy Jalapeños Smash was way too oily. The Scorchin Hot Tots were also soaked in oil. The piece of paper underneath was 80% soaked with oil when done eating.

Great hospitality! Fast service and friendly cashier and manager. Food tasted so good! We ordered a smashburger with bacon and cheese and a smashchicken sandwich plus onions rings and fries. The taste was excellent! The food came out hot and fresh and just as we ordered it. Free underground parking at Galvan Garage. Solid and conveniently located burger spot close to Metro and local office buildings. Usually do pick up and order is always done correctly and on time. Eat in area is spacious and usually easy to find seating. As for the food - Patties are fairly fresh though not as large / juicy as 5 guys. Bun and condiments could use some slight upgrading.

Unfortunately I had high hopes for this place. I love a good burger (I don't eat meat and was happy they had a black bean burger). I ordered to go and didn't have to wait long. Needless to say. If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a black bean burger with smashed tots. I did not get a black bean burger but instead got a double patty. I didn't think to check my food before I left the restaurant. The funny thing is on the outside of the burger they tap a receipt to it saying what the item is. And it clearly said black bean. Highly disappointed. My hubs ordered a basic one and they even got his order wrong. They weren't even busy enough to mess up both our orders.

The burgers here are juicy and delicious! I love it because it's not too thick and it helps to not have to open my mouth so wide to take a bite. I love their smash fries and my grandson loves their Haystack onions and hash browns. This day I loved the special price of the smashburger. This location is always clean and welcoming.

Never been to a Smashburger before - girlfriend suggested for a quick stop while heading down the Pike. Was happy to see staff who appeared to be upbeat & friendly. Ordered the Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger and my mouth is watering just thinking about it as I write ;) ...verrrry good. Brisket - awesome, burger - good, bun - good, bacon - primo! We ate inside - place was busy, but our order was brought out quickly. I'll give this chain another try!

I have been to smashburger on several different occasions and this was actually the first time that I got a bad Burger.The service was outstanding But it seems like someone got a little too happy with the salt shaker on the meat because the burger was extremely salty and it already had bacon on it. I got a double bacon smashburger. That oversalted meat really made me feel some type of way about this burger.

Kelyn was an amazing host. This was my first time having smashburger so I did have a few questions about the menu and she was able to answer all of them. I ended up getting the classic smash and it did not disappoint, the food was great. I'll definitely be coming back.

I love eating there, their services are very efficient, clean and a neat environment, my kids love it there. Hope they keep their workers pleased just like we are every time we go there. Definitely I'm recommending smashburgers to family and friends.

I sure was excited when my Baby Girl brought me my first one on the surprise tip. I was disappointed.My burgers are tastier than that by a landslide.Give us grilled onions,you can't be stingy with the condiments, and patty melt that baby!That's a whole lot of Super,Wonderful information for free.If you do it I should get some kind of compensation.

Love, love Smashburger! We are loyal customers ever since we ate our first burgers in Frederick, MD. After a few years, the restaurant shut down. We would go to Rockville and Columbia which were further out but we didn't care because they would make our evenings! Also, bring back the orange special sauce!

I went with Mt sister in law today and they got our order wrong. We told the server that one of the burgers was not the one we ordered and they said we needed to get a refund and then order the burger that we wanted. All they needed to do was make the correct burger and bring it to our table. We told them that this was poor customer service

This place is awful. Service sucks (manager has some sort of chip on his shoulder). Waited forever for our food and it came out cold and it's not even tasty. Would never come here again. Also, all kinds of rif raf walks by- a guy walked in and stole the food off another persons table while they were in the restroom and walked out.

Super delicious food, rarely have we had a problem. We always do a pickup order. I recommend the fries. It has kind of a calm vibe in here. It was great coming here!

I typically have a great experience here but today was horrible ! We ordered two burgers and fries. One burger came to the table without the fries. Then 3 tables who ordered after us got their complete order while we still waited for the second burger and the French fries. We continued waiting for 15 minutes. This is unacceptable and should be no one's experience. The cashier working didn't seem to mind that we've been waiting and didn't even apologize for the long wait.

Everything was so good!!! The burgers were delicious! My daughter , the kids and myself ordered ... I ordered the single mushroom and cheese burger which was perfectly seasoned and a side of Brussels sprouts...I had to order another Brussels sprout to go because they were sooooo good everyone wanted to try mines because they ordered fries and loved my Brussels sprouts, will definitely go back!

So bummed that they got rid of the black bean burger. The only option for vegetarians is now a frozen veggie burger. They don't even have an impossible burger. I can't see myself spending $10 on a veggie burger that tastes like a frozen Morningstar Farms patty. My vote for local fast casual burger place swings back to The Habit.

This was the best burger I have had in a while. We ordered from DoorDash. Luckily that didn't affect the quality of the food. The brisket burger was the right amount of salty and very meaty.

I ordered the Bacon Smash Turkey Burger and the patty was flat (like a pancake flat) and the burger tasted extremely salty. So much so that I couldn't eat the rest of my sandwich. The sweet potatoes fries did not disappoint. But not worth the price. The establishment looks clean and presentable, but it was not busy at all.

3.5 rating but I will round up. I was in the area and decided to try Smashburger because my sister has raved about this place. I downloaded the app and was able to score a free entree with purchase of a drink and side. I chose the Capital Burger (grilled onions, Swiss, baby arugula, bacon, tomato, and mayo) and Haystack onions. Man, the food is greasy! Ever since the Cheeburger Cheeburger in my area closed, I have been searching for something to fill my "favorite onion ring spot" void. Smashburger does just that. Their Haystack onions (onion straws) were delicious (and one of the reasons I rounded up). They were thin and crispy in a flavorful batter, served with ranch dressing on the side. I definitely dipped my burger in the ranch dressing a couple times. The burger was good - not the best I've ever had - but still satisfying. Service was friendly from my interactions when ordering at the register and when they delivered my food. When they brought my tray of food out, the employee asked if he could get me anything else. Especially in this fast food environment, I appreciated the gesture. I likely won't list Smashburger as one of my top burger joints, but the Haystack onions are highly recommended!

I was surprised by the number of items on the menu for a fast food burger joint. Got the avocado bacon burger with no bun and small fries. Service was good and so was the food. No reason not to come back!

Good news is, the breakfast sandwiches are served all day, so I didn't have to rush here by 10:30 am to redeem my reward. Bad news, many people were ahead of me waiting for their orders. Short staffed? Also, prices on the menu were inaccurate. I was charged $4.09 plus tax for regular sweet potato fries instead of the $3.89 that is posted on the menu. The cashier claimed that corporate changed the price, but why didn't they update the sign? I asked for a manager, he claimed he was the manager. I call BS.

Came towards the end of their day with their BOGO coupon in hand. Ordered the Colorado turkey burger, truffle mushroom swiss turkey burger, and smash fries. Both burgers were pretty good, a little dry but understandably b/c of turkey, but liked that you can also customize some of the toppings. Smash fries were OK; mixed with olive oil and rosemary, the seasoning wasn't strong enough to stand out, so I'd get the regular fries or tots next time. Food came out quick and pretty good meal.

Delicious food. Good service. Clean restaurant. Fairly priced. Probably my favorite burger chain in the DMV! I love Smashburger for a couple of reasons. First, they sell sweet potato fries and no other fast food restaurant or burger place does. I loveeee sweet potato fries and they're good here. Their smash fries are good too. Second, their milkshakes are DELICIOUS. They use haagen dazs icecream and it's sooo yummy. And most importantly third, their burgers are yummyyy. I think all the options are good. Burgers are super juicy and much more fresh and flavorful than McDonalds or something. My typical order is the truffle mushroom Swiss burger, sweet potato fries, and sometimes Oreo milkshake. Other notes: I thought the service was fine here. One lady offered to throw our trash away for us, and helped an elderly couple get seated. Price is fine; I recommend getting the smash combo. Overall, highly recommend. This is a good location and the food is always good!

This was my first time at Smashburger and it was just okay in my opinion. I'm no burger connoisseur but I still prefer Shake Shack and In-N-Out all the way! I ordered a BBQ burger and the meat was a bit dry. My burger didn't have much onion straws that I would've liked. I had to dip my burger in the smash and ranch sauce a few times to be fully satisfied. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries but I wish I would've ordered the smash fries instead. The Oreo milkshake was creamy and delicious! As far as cleanliness, the bathroom was decent. The trash can in the dining area not so much. It was overflowing and we had no where to place our trash which wasn't a good look. It's located in a busy spot off of Rockville Pike and parking is a little tricky but garages are available (Safeway garage provides 2 hours for free). Huge kudos to Ashley for providing excellent customer service to a big group! She managed to get our orders out in a timely manner despite of the hectic dinner rush.

I saw Tom Ryan demonstrate how he does a Smashburger it made sense as he had caramelizing the lower layer and I've seen this done with a big thick homemade burger or you just simply put it in a pan and then put a cover over the entire thing and put it on high heat to caramelize the bottom after using butter I found your advertising showing a listing of the food very confusing and I wound up getting the Smashburger with the brisket and with a lot of sauce on it I really thought about being picky and asking for them to wash it off but I figured I'd try it as it it tasted like flavored ketchup so I never got to taste the burger till I put the patties off and rub them against a cold water in order to taste it but I couldn't taste it I had a milkshake and I noticed you use ice cubes in order to cool it down is this how you freeze your ice cream mix I think you're saying you're using Häagen-Dazs ice cream but it certainly didn't taste like it was very thick I ordered the french fries it with the flavoring on it which was like a truffle flavor was quite good and it kept it hard consistency for over an hour I was impressed with that I also ordered sweet potato fries that I ordered brussels sprouts the brussels sprouts were kind of soggy and so are this week potato fries but the sweet potato fries of cells are quite tasty good stock of sweet potatoes I found the advertising to look like a sports bar and I found it to be some place that was unappealing the place that I went was on Rockville Pike in the parking was very tight and it was free on a Sunday I would normally not even bother stopping at a place like that with limited parking I also noticed that two of your smash burgers in the Washington DC area are in a secured area of Reagan national Airport and Dulles international Airport and the other one was downtown Washington DC with even worse parking access I may try one of your burgers that's plain to see what it's like but I can imagine it I don't think I'm going to go back I spent over $30 on everything I ordered and it was like an expensive version of McDonald's and I'm certainly you're using a higher quality food but you're presenting it in a way that's over seasoned and doesn't really complement the food stuffs https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kBHZBTXDBW4

Now that the Smashburger in the Downtown Crown closed, this location was the only one near me I was able to redeem a BOGO free coupon. I thought the staff was very kind and patient while I placed my order, but the kitchen and food delivery processes were slow (18 minutes), as the other reviews mentioned as well. The burgers were okay, but I would not go out of my way to come here, especially without a coupon. The chicken in my burger felt a bit dry, but was at least flavorful. My husband went for the traditional burder and enjoyed the multigrain bun it was served on. The side of tater tots I ordered were a bit too greasy and bland for my liking.

First thing you have to know about any place where food is served, is that if the bathroom is clean, kitchen it's also clean. It's a matter of facts. I went to eat here and ¡WOW! They have one of the most friendly people around (that's what I had that day) very, very fast service and clean store. Man! Those burgers were on fire, the jalapeños are a game changer. If you're around and checking reviews before goin', man stop right there, don't on negativity, try it your own and have your own perspective of the place. Check the pics. Peace

First the good. The burger and onion straws were very good. I definitely want them we again. Now the bad. No where to park. Noisy restaurant with dirty floors and very little seating. Asked for salt, pepper, napkins, knife and fork. Was told there was no pepper, no knives and no salt. Strange.

The greatest thing about Smashburger (sadly, it's not the burgers) is the number of options. There are like five or six bun options, four meat types (one of which isn't meat), multiple patty sizes, multiple number of patty options, multiple cheese options, and of course tons of toppings. The burgers were good. Not cooked at too high of a temperature (a la Burger Fi) and were consistent from one side to another. The plain bun was actually quite nice but the bacon was a little burnt (sad face). If you're counting calories there are lower calorie meat options (chicken and turkey) or a meat free option (black bean) so that's nice if you're dining with a large group of people with various preferences. The staff could not have been nicer. They were chatty and fun and all of the clientele were enjoying the banter. One other thing that is fabulous here are the French Fries. Perfectly cooked and seasoned beautifully. I might just go back there for the fries. If I were nearby, I'd probably come back here.

Pretty good burger if you the like the smashed thin and seared method of preparation. I've been to this location four times. There is some inconsistency in the burgers in terms of how much the meat is seared(strange because that method of preparation is one of their claims to fame). Also there has been some inconsistency with the condiments on the burger. Big gripe though is with their overpriced french fries: Not the best fries - Sometimes not even hot. $3.49 !!!!

The food is great! Absolutely love the rosemary and olive oil fries are fantastic. We had the double cheeseburger--which has plenty of topping possibilities. Despite the food being really good, I am only giving them 3 stars, because they were really short-staffed (probably because of the pandemic)--so that caused a real delay in our getting our food. I'm sure that can be rectified when they can get more employees.

Smash burger Silver Spring, MD location is awful. I've ordered many times in the past, I gave up on it and decided to bite the bullet this morning and order. They open at 8am. I order from doordash and after 30 minutes, my driver calls and tells me that he's going to have to cancel the order because some guy has the doors locked, claiming they're not opening until 10-30am. The guy was SUPER rude and disrespectful. There were MANY customers/delivery drivers out there arguing with him about it. These are the annoying inconveniences that makes me regret ever giving this place a dollar.

Personally, I feel like it: Beats fast casual rivals like five guys, because it is definitely less greasy and superior tasting. Can't be compared to shake shack, because it depends on the mood better whether to personalize their burger toppings/ingredients or just stay simple/classic. Evenly matched to BGR joint because both places are customized burgers (beef, chicken, turkey, veggies), but also salads. BGR joint also asks how you would like the burger meat cooked. Compared to fast food rivals like McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's ... it easily outperforms them in freshness and quality. Compared to gourmet burger restaurants like Red Robin, it is cheaper but essentially offers the same amount of choices.

Burger was greasyyyyyy... fries had no flavor. The sauce on the burger just tasted like ketchup and mustard mixed together. Will not be going back
