Amazing experience. The food was a 100000000/10. Jordan also has amazing customer service and the entire experience was just amazing. The food presentation was also very beautiful and nicely made. When my husband and I are back in Tampa, we will for sure be back!!

OSHA badge number 17-701366207 Today I tried the Shrimp Roll which was so delicious and flavorful. Coming from Texas, it reminded me of a poboy and it was just what I needed to get myself a taste of home being here in Tampa. Thank u to this location for giving me that home away from home taste. The oreo shake was on point also. Very clean establishment and very friendly staff and awesome at what they do. Thank you also Bella for the great customer service. I really enjoy coming to this location after a long day of flying drones for the military. Thank yall and God bless.

I got the truffle mushroom smashburger add bacon with a side of smash fries and it was soooo good. I probably wouldn’t add the bacon again because the type of bacon is it a little salty for me. I usually get a double patty when I eat burgers but the single patty was very filling. My server was very kind and patient with me. She was really really nice. I a satisfied with my order overall.

This burger spot is definitely a must have. I am not a beef eater. With that being said, not many places have ground chicken as an option for a burger. The service was great as well.

Wow. This was a deliciously juicy burger. I made my own so literally just meat and cheeses and onions. The smash sauce was yummy and the truffle mayo good too. The garlic oil fries were the best I’ve had. Crispy and seasoned. My daughter made her own and decide to stack a burger and chicken together! She said it was really good. Jordan ring us up and he was so nice and super helpful!! 5 star place for sure!!! Oh and they do 25% off for military and first responders!!! Way to go Smash Burger!!

Update: Restaurant’s Manager and another member of the team responded (one to the review and both via email ) that they would like to make it right. Response was appreciated! It is refreshing to know they care about the business and improving! Original Review…..This first visit was a fail for us! I hope the owners see this and do better. When we entered, the gal working was sitting at a table on her cell. We almost walked out because of how dirty the restaurant was. Ordered the cheeseburger and a vegetarian burger. The cheeseburger was just edible, the vegetarian burger was so dry and just crumbled out of the bun. I understand it’s a pre made vegetarian burger, but there was no moisture at all and it was so so salty. Impossible burgers would be a great addition/substitution. The order came to $32 including tax for two burgers with no fries with one add on and one soft drink. We didn’t notice that they didn’t come with fries and it would have been nice if the gal working would have been a little more interactive. As we started lunch, we noticed the filth all around us. The gal returned to her seat and was scrolling on her cell the entire time we were there. I don’t know if it’s her job description to clean the restaurant while there are no customers, but it seems like it would be a good idea. Men’s restroom was dirty and out of soap, and the women’s was just plain dirty. We immediately let them know. The gentleman cooking had to stop and go make the fix. Left pictures for reference. I like my reviews to be positive, but this place needs to be cleaned up. Much room for improvement.

If you come here bring your appetite! Every burger is a double. No biggie since they're smashed, right? WRONG! They're big, and the fries portions are very large too. Nice place. Will come again. They serve you at the table, and insist you leave the trash on the table. Fast food with a small restaurant feel.

Walked in here on a Sunday afternoon. It's been a while since I had a bacon cheeseburger and my heart was set on having that experience. I ordered the double bacon Smashburger along with regular fries. Not only was the burger cooked just right, put together well and a delight to consume, the girl taking my order was very nice and didn't come off like she had better things to do with her time there.

This is my first time at Smashburger and it's pretty decent I have no complaints I went mid day around 3 for a late lunch. Service was fast atmosphere was clean food was fresh all good things. I got a smash burger delux with tots. The tots were amazingly crispy cooked to perfection the burger was okay not the best in the world but good for the price all together it came out to $11.80

Wow. $22 for my burger fries and drink that were all mids. go to culvers and get better food for half the price. theyre lucky i had to pay before getting my food. The service was decent enough tho they didnt seem excited to be there.

The fries were old and dried out. They looked like McDonalds fries that sat in the bag for a week. When I called to ask for a manager I was told the manager only speaks spanish. They lost my business!

This was my first time visiting a Smashburger franchise. The service was great, and the food came out relatively quickly considering there was a crowd. The burger was pretty good with the smash fries leaving a little to be desired. They were super greasy without a ton of flavor. The interior was modern and clean. I would visit again if I was in the mood for a burger and short on time.

If I could give half stars, Smashburger is a solid 3.5, but since there are so many better burger spots in South Tampa I have to round down to 3 stars. There is nothing bad about the food. It's a decent burger, better than fast food, but not as good as Burger Culture, Shake Shack, or Five Guys. Rosemary tots and onion rings were better than the fries. Kids chicken tenders were good, but I wish they were delivered to the table before our burgers or at least at the same time so our kids didn't have to watch us eat our food. Smash burger wasn't too greasy and had good flavor. Seating inside is very limited, but there is a large outdoor patio for the three months that Tampa has decent weather.

Very basic burgers. Somewhat disappointed. Have eaten at other Smashburgers that were better. Massive burgers but you can always order a single. They also offer salads and turkey burgers and chicken sandwiches. Will compliment friendly counter person, clean dining room, and crispy tater tots. Is that rosemary? But they don't offer you syrup for the tots. May be that's just my personal preference.

First thing I noticed was incredibly nice staff, much friendlier than most places I've been to. The inside of the restaurant was clean and color coordinated. Now let's get to the burger review! Got the original double hamburger and I believe it's called the Carolina bbq burned ends burger. Both burgers were phenomenal! The carolina bbq burned ends burger was good but kinda messy. I liked the combination of all the ingredients and would definitely get it again!

That's a really good burger. Two in our Seminole/Tampa area, and tmore across the country. The cheapest burger is $8.05&it's freaking delish. Smash Sauce is a honey mustard. We opted without (taste the meat/cheese better). It isn't a huge portion- you'll want to order a double. Friendly service, very nice, they bring the order out to you. We'll be back for more burgers and fries most certainly and we highly recommend this spot. The Habit is our next spot to try, on Gulf to Bay. How will it stack up? Will it outrank this chain in flavor/ quality/ value?? Or will it get smashed?

This review is not so much a reflection on the store but more so the corporate office. On 8/1/25 I ordered a burger and fries for lunch through the app. I got a single with bacon, mustard, bbq, and onion. When I got home and opened the burger, it didn't have bacon or bbq, but had cheese and mayo which I do not like. I went through the app and told them of the mistake and showed the picture. They replied and asked for a copy of the receipt. I sent a copy of the receipt then they asked me to show my form of payment and my confirmation email. I then sent them what they asked for. This was on 8/8/ Today is 8/25, 17 days later and I never heard back from them. I sent everything they asked for and they swept it under the rug and have continued to ignore my emails. Attached are all the emails they sent me. I have also called the corporate phone number with no call back.

I ordered a Colorado single smash burger for lunch. The burger came with lettuce, tomato, cheese, grillled bell pepper, and sauce. The smashed beef petty tasted fresh and juicy. Among all the ingredients,the burger bun was the most interesting. I asked the cashier. She said it's a Chipotle bun. No wonder I felt the hint of spiciness. It was a very good hamburger bun. There are inside and outside sitting area. The service was good enough. Overall, it was a delicious burger.

Very disappointed! went to the s dale mabry hwy tampa location for takeout for my first and last time. in my personal opinion I could not get past the smell of the hamburger. I kept getting a bad smell from the meat and could not eat it. it looked boiled and not fried or grilled. Never again!

To be honest I had a hard time reviewing this place because the service was very nice but their food was slightly below average. I entered with the expectations that I would get my food and be out within 30 min. I end up waiting 45 min for my food. However, while I was waiting I got a pretty good show, because two people complained about their order. The first person was something small, but the second person was extremely upset and for good reason. I didn't get all the details but I do know that he asked them to redo it and it still came out wrong the second time, so he left yelling saying he will be back to get a refund. The workers apologized to me for the long wait and having to witness that scene so they offered me a free fountain drink. When I received my food they messed up my order too, but it was actually for the best. I ordered a single patty avocado burger with bacon but instead they gave me a double patty with large fries even thou I ordered small fries. Also, for an avocado bacon burger they only gave me a little strip of bacon which was disappointing. I guess I got more than what I paid for but for the taste it wasn't worth it in my opinion. Based on the previous reviews this seems to be a recurring thing. There must be better communication with the front and the kitchen because their current strategy does not work.

Not many Smashburgers in the area, so we've continued to eat at this location. Had several good experiences and decided to get gift cards. Went to use the gift cards on three separate occasions over several months and had issues. Once we were told their system couldn't read the card, another time we were told they don't take gift cards, and the third time we were told by staff there is something wrong between them and corporate. Yes. The cards are valid. Ugh. The disappointment continues. I give up.

The patties looked like they were on life support... Also, both of our burgers barely had any sauce

Amazing burgers and even better service! I stopped by Smash Burger for the first time for a quick bite, and from the moment I walked in, the experience was great. The cashier, Leila, was super friendly, welcoming, and made ordering a breeze. She even recommended I try one of their milkshakes, and I'm so glad I did--it was the perfect complement to the meal. The food came out fresh, hot, and packed with flavor--easily one of the best burgers I've had in a while. The fries were crispy, and everything was just right. Huge thanks to Leila for the outstanding service--I'll definitely be back soon!

Came here to pick up lunch because I didn't really want anything at home. The cashier helped me order the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich (I opted for no jalapeño). She asked if I wanted a side and I was pretty certain I ordered and paid for the tots but I ended up with fries and was so hungry I didn't feel like saying anything. It was alright. I didn't think it was much to rave about nor was it worth the calories. Did it feed me? Sure. Will I go back? Probably not, but I'm glad I finally tried.

TL:DR - food sucked for what's expected and man, service was abysmal. I'm shocked based on service at other Smash Burgers I've been to. I don't normally review this type of place (it's corporate, not set to make much change) - But here we go. Food was subpar for the franchise. I asked if they could make the double BBQ Bacon Burger without the bun, maybe a lettuce wrap? They said absolutely. Handed me a burger sitting on a plate, with chopped, salad lettuce in a to-go container. Ok, sure. Maybe you aren't equipped for a lettuce wrapped burger, fine. I'm ok with that. The part I'm actually disappointed with, is I ordered 3 tenders instead of fries. I asked if there was dipping sauce and the lady said yes. I asked if she had blue cheese dipping sauce. All seemed normal up to this point. She then handed me a bunch of blue cheese in a cup. When I asked if this was the "dipping sauce" she said yes. I asked what else she had to which she responded, "Only ranch". I clarified 3x to make sure I heard correctly. I checked on the website menu and Uber eats to make sure that I wasn't crazy for knowing that ranch wasn't the only option. What the actual f*** is going on with this location is beyond me.

M pm First visit to Smashburger this evening and we were so happy we decided to try it! Best burgers we've had in a long time at a very reasonable price! We ordered the Classic burgers and they were excellent! We also enjoyed the sweet potato fries. A large order was plenty to share with my husband. Our grandson ordered the kids burger which came with a hearty serving of French fries and a drink. We will definitely be back!

They never have black bean burgers ready and available. They freeze their patties. the service isnt great and the floors are dirty. They dont clean the bathroom or refill the toilet paper.

Slow service. Waited at register while 1 employee front of the house helped 4 food deliveries first. Fries cold. Not good taste. Burger is same as Steak & Shake only Smash burger wasn't even hot. Won't return for another $15. cold meal.

The food here never disappoints. The best burgers and the smash fries are a must. They are coated in olive oil, garlic, and rosemary and are to die for. My only complaint is that they don't have a location in my immediate area. Always worth the drive to visit. Also, gluten free buns available.

I'm so happy they opened a Smashburger here. I haven't been to one since I lived in south Fla. It's just like I remember it. You basically order at the counter and they bring it to you. My burger was loaded up (check the photos) and it stayed all together beautifully. The fries were realllly good too. Definitely be back.

Went to Smashburger to redeem my gift card. Did not work, put in a complaint with Company and was given a courtsey gift card. Go back today to redeem and guess what. IT DIDNT WORK. that is the last time I will visit a SMASHBURGER. Sent inquiry back to company, wonder what they will say.

The service was professional, and the Manager really was making an effort absent the POS problems with little backend support. I felt sorry for her. Food arrived timely, hot, and flavorful. The problem with this store is that there is no buzz-no atmosphere. Low energy. The store needs a refresh / inviting retail environment. Music at a low decibel level would be a good start. This store has had this problem for ages. The store's bathrooms need refurbished. There is nothing wrong with the food. Corporate needs to be paying attention.

I have been to many burger join, the smashburger is the first. I was excited to try out some new burger. They carry burger, chicken, salad and shake. Very simple menu. They have options to order online and they also have options to create your own sandwich. I got the Swiss Truffle Mushroom. The burger is juicy and seem like cook with butter. It is definitely moist and great mushroom cream sauce. The charge above $7 a burger. Pricy. The bun and burger is tinny. It is like burger junior. For the price, I may not want this burger. The open late till 10 pm. Not many customers during that time. I only have wait 5 minutes for them to cook. The meal is add additional 5 bucks. I decided not to. The whole combo may be difficult to attract customers. But their side is good choice. It include grilled Brussels sprouts.

I return to this place because I love it, however this time it wasn't like that, the girl was very kind however the food was disgusting, the bread was cold and old, there was no ice cream for the drinks, we asked for the bread to be heated up and they returned it to the table just as old and cold, the chairs outside were dirty, it looks like they haven't been wiped down for a long time, I won't return, the worst hamburger I've ever eaten

Don't order the salads. On the Cobb salad the lettuce is wilted, slimy and the bacon is raw. After posting this review I see under my name it appears I'm from California. I live in Florida? They don't have hand sanitizer and the card machine is tapped and you have to hand off your card to the clerk. Very timid manager.

I used to love this place but it has really been going downhill in the last year. The employees could not care less, just at time I was there 3 people ended up leaving because nobody took their order.... I came to pick up an order, my burgers were getting cold on the counter for 10 minutes when the fries were finally ready. An overpriced cold burger. If I was the owner, I will get that situation under control asap because today was a very bad experience and I witnessed at least 5 others customers complaining. This has been a recurring situation, another time the employee was just too busy texting on his phone to pack my order.... I will definitely not come back for a while

Honestly, a little pricey. There's a five guys down the road, but the milkshakes the have are amazing. The smash burger and smash fries were great too. I would recommend to anyone who is willing to try a new burger

Avoid this place. Haven't been here in a year and now I remember why. In the middle of taking my order the cashier decided to walk away and help a door dash order. I ordered a drink with my meal and got a halfassed eye roll when I asked for my cup, after not receiving it for 15 minutes. I watched the employee put gloves on to bag my food, but first decided to eat some of his own fries first with the newly gloved hands. Needless to say my food went straight in the garbage. Definitely won't be back.

Smashburger is a counter service burger restaurant similiar to Burger Fi, Burger Monger, Burger 21, and Five Guys. They serve several kinds of burgers such as buffalo and blue cheese, bbq bacon and cheddar, spicy jalapeño, truffle mushroom swiss, and their classic cheese smashburger. Burger patty choices are beef, chicken, turkey and black bean.. The burgers are smashed down on the grill while cooking, hence the name smashburger. They have unique sides such as crispy Brussels sprouts, fried pickles, seasoned tater tots, sweet potato fries, as well as regular and seasoned fries. There are some unique shake flavors such as salted caramel and peanut butter. as well as self service soft drinks and ice tea. I believe the food and choices here are a little better in taste, and price, than their competitors. The staff was friendly and efficient. There is plenty of seating, both inside, and outside which is covered.

I was happy to find a burger joint open on the 4th of July in Tampa (S Dale Mabry). It's about 30 minutes from where we live. We were told there was a 15 minute delay which we accepted and got a table. The entire restaurant was full of people we didn't realize were also waiting. All in-we waited almost an hour for our food. We watched as people walked in and left angry about the wait, some even asking for a refund. Eventually they started turning people away telling them they weren't taking any more orders. They told us someone would call our name when the food was ready and that never happened. We just happened to find a bag with my name on it on a shelf in the to go section. It was missing some of the items and the worst part was inside the plastic box (I ordered a burger with no bun) was a slip of receipt paper under my patty with cheese with the name of it. I couldn't even ask for another one as we'd already waited an hour for the patty with the receipt melted to it. If you go, try calling and see if they answer. I noticed the phone was ringing off the hook and they never picked up. The food was good if you can get your order right. I can still taste the lettuce they put on the burger even though I said no lettuce. The absolute worst part IMO was they had a female cashier with curly hair pulled up and 3 young boys who looked to all be under 13, 2 in the kitchen cooking and 1 trying to figure out the orders. The poor little boys looked so stressed I felt bad for them. I don't know if they were someone's children but the cashier was the only adult. I won't be back.

Always visit this place in Colorado didn't know we had one. It's been hard finding pescatarian options but the bean burger was amazing!!

One of the best fast food burgers I've ever had. Fries were skinny cut and delicious, the Colorado burger was an absolutely incredible. Makes me wish I lived in Tampa so I could eat here weekly. Nice outdoor seating too.

I have stopped at this location a couple of times on my way back from Macdil Air Force Base, and both times the service has been excellent and the food is delicious! The brussels sprouts are very good as well and the burgers and fries always hot!

Glad to see they reopened under new management. But sad to say service was very slow. Our order did not come out all together. Quality was sub par. Will not be returning.

Excellent place. Huge, fresh Cobb salad, a wonderful Classic smash burger and great Hagendaz chocolate shake. Great service and clean. Adrian did a great job. Very personable.

Craving burgers on a lazy gloomy Saturday afternoon and not wanting to go far from home my honey and I decided to check out Smashburger. We had not yet been and kept getting mail from them to come check them out. It is located in a plaza with a buffalo wild wings, Jeremiahs Italian icees, pizza hut, another broken egg, and Tijuana Flats amongst a few other non-food centered businesses. The restaurant is very clean. When we arrived parking was a little tricky but we eventually found some. The restaurant was not busy at all so the parking must have been from the other establishments. When we walked up to the counter the lady was gracious, she gave us a minute to look over the big menu above her head and then promptly took our orders. We were then provided with our drink cups, a table # and we were on our way. We sat in the front of the store by the windows and placed our # on the table. Not even 10 mins later our food was out. Everything was right which was good. We both got cheeseburgers, honey got everything on his and I just got onions and the house sauce. We decided to split large fries. The cook was nice enough to split them up among our baskets. Now on to the food. It was not bad but it also nothing special. For a 'burger joint' can you fault me for expecting more? Like I said it wasn't bad and I will likely be back if I want something close by but I would rather take a bit of a longer drive to Burger Monger. Also I get that they smash their patties, but they are way too thin I was hungry a short while later. Give it a shot and decide for yourself.

I believe this place is called Smash burger because you have to be smashed to like these burgers or someone smashed the original decent sized beef hamburger patties and made them way too thin! Lol I hate to be the bearer of bad news for a snazzy new establishment but sadly Smash burger's patties are pathetically thin, unseasoned, bland, and quite terrible. When you think of a gourmet burger or at the very least a burger from any self respecting restaurant, you can imagine a well marinated thick juicy flavorful burger with tons of topings that you can barely fit in your mouth, not some 50 cent thin pattie double cheeseburger from McDonald's, which is basically what you're getting at this place. I tried smashburger's triple double burger, bacon avocado club burger, bbq bacon cheddar burger, and truffle mushroom Swiss burger but sadly none of the burger toppings or flavors could make up for the disappointingly thin burger patties. Smash is located on south south Dale Mabry in a plaza next to Buffalo Wild Wings, Tijuana Flats, Jeremiah's Ice cream, crunch fitness, across from Lowe's. With all the popular establishments here you may have to park in the overflow lot but theres stillnplenty of parking to be had. Smash burger is not a fun service restaurant. You have to stand in line to place your order and a server brings your meal out, yet they still charge like a restaurant for your non restaurant burger! I must admit despite the shortcomings with their burgers, Smash Burger has some top notch tater tots and stocks a great selection of locally brewed beers including the shady tree IPA by crooked thumb brewing, tampa style lager by Cigar City Brewing, Reef Donkey American Pale Ale by Tampa Bay Brewing Company, Night Swim porter by Coppertail Brewing, Midnight Espresso Coffee Porter by Motorworks Brewing, and Grandpa Jack's Pils by Crooked Thumb Brewing that do pair well with some of the burgers. Burger varieties include black bean for vegetarians, turkey and chicken for low fat, and beef for traditional. Despite Smashburger's relatively low prices, I'd have to recommend spending a couple bucks more for a decent burger from Bar Louie, Square Burgers, Burger 21, Fords Garage, or really any decent restaurant that serves burgers over this faux burger joint. All of those restaurants are much better bets for a real thick paddie restaurant style burger that will satisfy, unlike Smashburger burgers! Heck, even McDonald's, Wendy's, or Steak and shake sells a thick premium burger for $5 thats thicker than any of the burger patties offered here or even any 2 burger patties combined!

Definitely some good burgers to sink your teeth into. I tried out thier Spicy Guac Burger and it was simply delicious! Everything I ate from that burger tasted fresh. I really enjoyed thier smash fries. A different concept flavor I never tried, but glad I did. It might be my favorite fries to eat now. The staff there treated me nice and were attentive. I came here because Groupon was offering a great deal for $12.00. You see... you can order a $20.00 meal, but only pay $12.00. So I took advantage of it. There's not a lot of these places around the Tampa area, so if you happen to see one: go ahead and try one out. You wont be disappointed.

Totally fine burger, but there are better chains in Tampa. We'd been watching this place go up for months. My husband needs a weekly burger fix, and I'm always looking for new places to check out. The thought of Haagen Dazs milkshakes was very appealing. We ordered at the counter then got a table. They have high chairs. Overall, the place was clean, well lit, and service was fast and friendly. I had the avocado bacon burger without bun. They don't give the option of extra lettuce for the bun (green style or protein style), so I was picking it up with two single pieces of lettuce. It was all fine, but the burger Patty was not seasoned at all. My husband had a basic cheeseburger, and he liked it. The fries were fine. My son had the chicken tenders. These took longer to cook and came out 5 minutes after our burgers. I thought they were pretty generic tasting but fine. The milkshake came out last. They used strawberry ice cream rather than vanilla with fresh strawberries, so it wasn't the best, aalthough it was good. Parking is ample (there's a lot in back if you don't see anything in front). I prefer Burgerfi or Burger Monger, or I'll drive out to Burger 21.

Beats out five guys and burger monger. No ketchup or mustard needed. So stop reading, Just get it and enjoy.

Best fast food burger I've had. 10xs better than the last burger I got from the green iguana. Classic burger had fresh lettuce (not wilted) and tomato. Excellent flavor. Smash fries are fabulous. We placed our take out order in store. Took less than 7 mins and we were out the door. Fries were still crispy when we got home.
