You can taste the quality meat. Really good smash burger, one of the best in the Valley, will be back again for sure. The owner was so nice he even gave a puppy patty to my dog, she gave it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ as well. They have a place to sit and enjoy ur burger while it’s hot too. Very clean, priced good, tasty, good quality and friendly (just what the valley needs).

Outer edges of the burger were crispy, but juicy in the middle. Good lightly seasoned crispy fries too. Friendly dude and very reasonable priced. car wash parking lot burgers are why I still love the valley.

When it comes to burgers, I am very picky and my standards are very high. Let me just say that Smashin Sams’ smashburgers were hands down THE BEST smash burger I’ve ever had. The buns were buttery and fluffy and the patty was thin and crispy, yet flavorful—absolute perfection. The five of us got to the pop-up around 11 pm and they only had five patties left, which means we only had the singles, but even still they were delicious. I’m looking forward to going back and trying the doubles, but keep in mind the burgers are light so I could have easily inhaled three of them. Best part about the burgers is that they are halal! You can definitely taste the better meat quality. Will definitely come back soon

The search for the perfect smash burger was over when George opened his pop-up here last year, since then his handmade halal patties have become a cult favorite amongst those with good taste. Already a regular and ready for the next level, the party melt is the move here. Get it mustard fried.

Delicious!!! Best smash burgers I’ve ever had. Get the double with grilled onions it won’t disappoint! Owner is very sweet and hope he gets a storefront restaurant very soon! Currently located at a car wash but there is still some seating available!

Opens at 7pm and stops when they run out of food, check it on Instagram to see if it’s still open. It’s located inside a Car Wash lot, and that’s where we parked. The burger patties were perfectly smashed and crisp without being burned. The grilled onion, cheese and dipping sauce went perfectly with it. The patties are thin, so if you eat large portions get a double or triple. The fries were the best I’ve had in a long time. Super crisp and delicious. Prices are great!

Decided on smash burgers after dance class and there's no shortage of smash spots around, so I like to try new ones often. This spot did not disappoint! I've been led astray by stellar Yelp reviews of stands and trucks in the past, but that was not the case here. The guy who took my order was super friendly and created a pleasant experience. He said they had a big order, among a few others, they were working on, so the wait would be 15-20 minutes. I'm not in a rush, so no worries. That actually seems like a good sign to be so busy on a random Wednesday night. My food was ready in probably closer to 10 minutes. That is the beauty of smash burgers. They cook relatively quickly! I got a double cheeseburger combo, no sauce. I know I'm in the minority here, but I never get sauce or pickles. I feel like it just overpower the deliciousness of the cheese and meat. My husband, however, did enjoy the sauce on both his fries and the burger. The patties were legitimately smashed almost paper thin. They were the perfect crispiness. Not TOO crispy and thin. Just right. Bun was nice and soft. Everything was well seasoned. My husband was especially fond of the fries, which is kind of rare for him! Overall, a delicious experience with great customer service and at a good price. Will definitely be back next time we want a later-in-the-evening smash burger!

Best smash burgers in the city! We've traveled near and far, sampling smash burgers all over town, and this is by far the best in class. Perfectly smashed, crispy, high quality meat, and buttered buns to boot. The fries are also insane, and the homemade sauce tops it all off perfectly. We're here at least twice a month. I can't recommend George's spot enough. Service is impeccable, you won't find a better dude (and company) to make you burgers. You need some Smashing Sam's in your life! Twenty stars!

Was looking for a smash burger joint and came across Smashin Sam's. I got the #2 combo with choppy fries. Choppy fries are their version of animal fries with a burger patty mixed in. Fries are crispy, they have garlic seasoning on em. The house sauce is sweet, in this case it compliments the garlic seasoning with the fries well. It's overly sweet either. The burger melts in your mouth, you get a slight crisp crunch from the smashed patty char. Overall, a good smash burger and I would recommend the choppy fries with the combo worth upgrade. The guys running the show are personable and make recommendations. Parking is available right by their setup as well. Give em a try next time you're in the area and in need for a smash burger fix.

My friend took me here after picking me up from Burbank airport, and I will think about this smash burger for the foreseeable future - definitely one of the best I've ever had! The caramelized onions and the crust on the edges of the patties really blew this out of the park. The guys here are so kind, and I'm glad to hear they're getting a permanent brick and mortar spot soon. Will definitely be back!

Best smashburger in the city! It is so good that you always have to get 2. I usually get my second burger as a Choppy Joe, which is really unique and very satisfying. It's sort of a mix between a Sloppy Joe and a chopped cheese. Pretty genius. I tell my friends about this place all the time, so it's only right that I leave them a review. Love supporting small businesses.

Saw this place on Yelp at 10pm on a Sunday night, so I had to see if they were actually open. They were! So I ordered a double smash burger with fries! At first I wasn't going to try the fries but I'm glad I decided to try them because they're worth it! And since I've eaten so many smash burgers, I will say that this is definitely up there with (if not better than) For the Win or Easy Street. I would definitely come here over those two places based on taste AND price. Customer service was top notch and the person taking my order was definitely grateful for his customers. The ambiance is very casual since it's an outdoor food stand but they have a table and chairs available to sit. I will definitely go back since the food was that good!

The smashed was a REAL smash, also crispy sides! The chopped burger blew my mind. Seriously. WOW!!! I'm even a fan of fat fries and couldn't stop eating their thin cut. The picture's don't even do them justice... and they look that good. It's even better!!!

This place is really a hidden gem. Must try. One of the best smash burgers I've had. On par or better than most. Halal meats. Go quick because sometimes they sell out early in the weekends. Located in the corner of the laurel canyon car wash. Easy to miss dimly lit but don't be afraid. The owner and chef is very nice and helpful. Got the number 2 which was a double cheeseburger, fries and a drink (they forgot to give me my drink though) 13 bucks was a very good price especially when you compare others. Meat was cooked paper thin and crispy. Was delicious with the pickles onions and cheese. Perfection. the fries were nothing special but could be with a unique seasoning. I probably would just get two burgers next time no fries. Definitely a top 3 smash burger place

First off, the guys working were beyond nice! You can't help but like them which makes you want to enjoy the burgers. I loved the crunchy outside of the patties, you definitely need at least a double because they are super thin. Im a small person but I would say my boyfriend's friends would want 3-4 patties here (only $2 per extra patty). I personally don't love american cheese, so I think I'd like it better with cheddar or something. Their sauce was great, and fries were awesome! Cool little pop up.

I don't know what the hype is . I ate double cheeseburger .... It was more like burned paper ( this how thin it was , the burger was crumbling!!! ) Smash burger don't means to have it paper thin and burn it ... I ate bread with butter and cheeses basically .burger ? It was evaporating while eating . Save your money .

Amazing little burger joint in a car wash parking lot. Their smash burgers had the perfect amount of crisper and it did not feel oily at all. I would also highly recommend the choppy joe fries. George (the owner) is also a super cool guy. He joined our table and had a nice conversation with us, answering any question we had about his resturant. The owner is the kindest, most humble dude. He is passionate about his burgers and just wants to share them with people who will love them as much as he does. He went out of his way to make our dog a pup patty to enjoy as well! The burgers are seasoned to perfection and crispy while still being juicy. Even the fries are fantastic! The owner mentioned that he's on the hunt for a brick and mortar and as my bf said, "there's just some people you really want to succeed." So i was craving smash burgers, and this place popped up, at first i couldn't find it but you have to go around the car wash across the street from the gas station and you will see it. Now lets get to the taste part, they were so freaking good. The crunch on the outside portions and the taste was so fire. It has became one of my favorite burgers now. And the guy who helped us which i believe was the owner, was super nice and friendly. We will definitely be coming back

My first ever smash burger and was surprised just how much I liked it. Tried the double cheeseburger and chopped cheese and both were delicious. If they were closer to me, I can definitely see myself getting these regularly when I'm in a burger mood. The service was amazing. The two guys were so welcoming and patient (I asked many questions). What stood out the most was when this man sat at the table with my friend and I and just started mumbling under his breath and behaving oddly. He didn't seem violent but the owner took the time to stay near us and check on the man to see if he was ok. At this point we were finished so got up to leave and the odd man also left. I don't know if he would have acted out, but the fact that the owner stayed near us was comforting and so appreciated. The location isnt super bustling but it was lit well enough and I didn't feel nervous to be out so late there. I really hope Smashin Sam's flourishes and opens up a location closer to me!

I didn't think I liked smash burgers until I came here. I've been to For the Win...once. I've been to Easy Street...once. The first time I went to Smashin Sam's I was back for my return visit within the week. I don't even go all that often because I try not to eat out a whole lot and I don't live too close anymore but the owner always remembers me, super friendly service. I love this place! Plenty of payment options too: cash, card, venmo and I think zelle Check their Instagram to ensure they're open and haven't sold out yet. Always a bummer when you're craving a burger and they're sold out but I'm also happy when they do well.

The BEST! I drive from Larchmont to get these burgers. THE CRISPIEST thin patties, great sauce, and I like to get the patty melt style ( the buns are flipped inside out) Sometimes there is no wait at all - but every once in a while, a few orders come in all at once. Wow wow wow! Smashin Sams did not disappoint! A fun hole in the wall smashed burger joint, all that's missing are the actual walls. Let's break it down: Food: clearly the food is the big winner here. This smashburger can rival any other smashburger around. The house sauce, the cheese to meat ratio, and the grilled onions are all absolutely delicious. Honestly I'm not the BIGGEST burger person in the world, but hands down I will come and eat this burger again. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned very well and the portion sizes are great. Especially for the coast. $12 gets you a double burger, fries, and a drink! Where else can you get all that for that low of a price. Service: we met the owner tonight and he is beyond passionate and proud of what he's doing, as well he should be! Just the way he spoke about always wanting to cook for others for a living you can tell he's put his whole heart into this endeavor and I can only hope he has continued success. Ambiance: well currently they are working outside of a car wash so not much ambiance to speak of BUT please do not put you off from coming here. This is an ABSOLUTE must eat burger. So to recap, eat here and eat here often, and little tip... Sunday nights are their least busy night, so if you want to avoid a crowd go then!

They are so nice!! Just like other reviews mentioned, the guys behind the griddle are a delight no joke. And even better the food didn't disappoint. drove up to Griffith to enjoy our burgers with a view (so ate them not super super freshly off the grill). They told us to make sure to dip our burgers in the sauce and we did (delicious) and the fries were actually cooked very well with perfect crisp and saltiness.

FIVE FRIKEN STARS WELL DESERVED!!!!! The burgers are mouthwatering! Service is fast and attentive. This is not a venue, but more so a small corner stand, all the more reason to give it some love. Good old entrepreneurship. The owner even went out of his way to clean our table. Will definitely be back for more!

The double burger was absolute insanity; so delicious. Perfect crisp. You can really experience the flavor in every bite. The location is fun especially late at night. Ya'll have to try this smash burger spot! It's located at the car wash parking lot off of Laurel Canyon and Oxnard, a little hard to see but they're at the corner in the front. It was our first time here so we got two doubles, which come with super thin patties, house sauce, cheese, grilled onions and pickles. The combo ($11) comes with fries and a drink. The best part is how crispy and crunchy the patty is from how thin they make it. I wasn't sure if I'd like it that thin but I'm a huge fan now (we typically go to Heavy Handed). The fries were salty and crispy as well. Owners are very friendly and they take cash, Venmo, Zelle etc.

This is the best Smashburger place I've ever had in LA and I think everyone should at least try this. This is much better than burgers never say die or any of the places that I've been to in Los Angeles.

The best burger I've had in socal. After 24 years of being a die-hard in n out fanatic I can't I found a spot that I like and crave more than in n out. Their chopped cheese is something else. The meat is so damn tasty and so is their sauce.

Literally unbelievable. I never leave yelp reviews, but I pulled up this night determined to have a new smash burger and this place was the best I've ever had. Hands down. I hate typical, low-effort burgers with extra thick patties. We've been doing that for decades and it's just not appealing. This is the only true way to enjoy all the flavors together- and this spot is the epitome of that. You can pretty much park wherever, don't fret if you don't see the stand at first. Much love

The smash burgers here are honestly one of the best I've ever tried! My boyfriend and I were craving some and decided to jump on Yelp to see what was nearby and they were the first to pop up! The location is right on the sidewalk next to the car wash sign. It isn't very noticeable but at the time of writing this review, they had a blue tent! We only picked up the burgers so I can't say much about parking, I will say that their service is impeccable and we got our burgers so fast! The ambiance was great too as far as street food goes! You can definitely get quality from here! Thank you guys for the wonderful hospitality! We will definitely be back and we will tell everyone we know! You guys are killing it!!
