If you’re a sushi lover like me, this place is a dream come true! The all-you-can-eat menu offers an impressive variety of fresh rolls, sashimi, nigiri, appetizers, and even hot dishes—all made to order and beautifully presented. Every bite tasted fresh and flavorful, with the rice perfectly seasoned and the fish melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The service was friendly and fast, and I appreciated how attentive the staff were even during busy hours. They kept everything moving smoothly and made sure we were happy with each round. Thanks Ryan at the front desk for delicious cookies. It’s also a great value for the quality and quantity you get. Whether you’re going with friends, on a casual date, or treating yourself to a sushi feast, this place hits the spot. I left full, happy, and already planning my next visit! Highly recommend if you’re craving sushi without limits!

Quality of fish and seafood was very good. The salmon and salmon belly cuts were great. Service provided by Ron R was prompt and the turn around was quick to get dishes to our table. He explained the menu and was patient with our questions about the dishes. Only things keeping Smile Shota from having 5 stars across the board was that in one roll our rice was soggy and the rice paper in the spring roll still had some places that it was quite hard.

I am glad that I picked this place. Saturday night at 8:30 p.m., I just waited a bit and got the table for 2. The host was nice, and he cleaned every menu before giving it to customers. The server (Martin) was super nice even though we ordered a lot lol. The food was quick and good. This place is more than 5 stars to me.

When we first walked in we thought it was just a ordinary food court and actually considered leaving but we were hungry so we decided to stay and OMG are we so happy we did!!! The place is super cute, great music and just an overall fun theme! The food was outstanding, fresh, fast, delicious and really great looking to top it off. They didn't overdue it with small portions of fish on giant amounts of rice and was actually the opposite! The food was not fishy like the lower end AYCE places are and the portions were perfect. The part that impressed us the most was that the staff was on point! From the hostess seating us to our incredible server being so tentative to everything we needed to even just the additional staff who ensured our drinks never got under half empty or when they would bring us our food and have fun with us while dropping it off. We are absolutely fans and will absolutely be back!!! Thank you for such a great experience, we had a blast!

The atmosphere was bright, well lit, crisp and clean. The servers were very helpful. The service while in totality was on the good side, there were some hiccups. Several items were delivered to our table in error. Some items came quickly. A few items seemed to get lost in the shuffle, and were delayed. That day they were out of scallops and sea urchin, which was disappointing. The food was fabulous. The eel was the best I've ever eaten. It melted in my mouth. Another extreme plus was the octopus. It wasn't chewy at all. The variety was large. Raw, backed, fried, rolls, salads, there were so many items to choose from. We did the all you can eat. Each item had just two servings so you were able to try a large number of items before becoming full. Then my friend and I shared multiple items, which required us to eat just one piece of an item. So the ability to experience a large number of items, was a major plus. This indoor food mall had multiple food stores inside. The people just kept coming and going continuously. The volume of people caused a shortage of parking places. That was a minor inconvenience, since the food was so good. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Smile Shota. I like trying new places, so it's on to the next one for me.

Had a little birthday moment at Smile Shota today 🎂 Everything came out so fast — like, you order and it’s all in front of you in five minutes 😍 Super fresh, super tasty, and it’s all-you-can-eat with sushi… honestly, the best. Gaby took such good care of us — sweet, kind, and made it feel extra special 🥰 Already dreaming of going back.

Google
Smile Shota is always good. Fresh and delicious sushi and sashimi, fast and efficient service, and a nice, cozy ambience. Our server, Ron, was very attentive, got all our orders right, and checked on us frequently. All this despite having a full house on a Thursday night. So wonderful! Keep up the good work, guys!

Google
Been to lots of Sushi places and this place is unique for its quick orders that come to your table, service was great! The food comparing to other Sushi restaurants was ok, not the best but I gave 4 stars because it still deserved it due to the verity of food in the AYCE menu. I do recommend to visit this place. Pros - food comes quick , Cons - a few dishes dislike example the Crispy rice, not recommended.

Yelp
Located in Cheongdam Food Hall, this is a cute ayce sushi spot. It was my first time here and I thought it was good value for my money. If you come here, order the Bruno Mars Special (so good). The rolls itself had a lot of rice on it so you definitely will feel full faster if you do not pace yourself. However, the chef gave me salmon sashimi when I didn't order it so all is forgiven in my book. Big thanks to Martin and Gabby for great service!

Yelp
Food came out quick and very presentable and we received very good service from Ron!! Will be back to see Ron for sure

Yelp
Good service loved the vibes, our server Gabby was so sweet and professional. We really enjoyed our visit. 10/10 will visit again.

Yelp
Smile Shota is an absolute sleeper hit inside Cheongdam Food Hall, serving up some of the freshest all-you-can-eat sushi in Vegas. We primarily ordered nigiri and sashimi, and every cut was consistently high quality--fresh, buttery, and expertly sliced. That said, the rolls looked just as carefully crafted, with precision and balance that's rare in AYCE spots. Pro tip: for a couple dollars more order a side of fresh wasabi and a side of yuzu (Japanese citrus) to take your sushi to the next level. It's a small but game-changing touch. And the best part? On Monday and Tuesday nights, they were running a two-for-one deal for just $34 total. In this economy, that's practically a miracle. Definitely call ahead to see if the deal is still running, because for sushi of this caliber, it's an insane value. The only thing holding it back? The ambiance. The bright fluorescent lighting is straight-up harsh, and maybe it's just personal preference, but the giant smiley faces plastered everywhere feel like they're staring you down--like massive, lording Pac-Men watching your every bite. Drop the lighting a few notches, scale back the in-your-face decor, and this place would be a five-star knockout. Special shoutout to Liz, our server, who was fantastic--attentive, knowledgeable, and on top of everything. 4.5 stars--because when the sushi's this good, you learn to ignore the giant eyes burning into your soul ‍‍‍

Yelp
Shocked how good this place was considering the name. Passed by it previously going into the other places inside the food hall and thought it had an odd name for a sushi place. Everything was fresh, their appetizers were delicious and flavorful, and their servers were friendly! Definitely will go back!

Yelp
All You Can Eat (AYCE) sushi in Las Vegas, Nevada... My friends and I were excited about the relatively low price for AYCE sushi which Is available Monday to Friday, starting at 11am at Smile Shota. It's supposed to be $24.95, but we chose to upgrade to the $33.95 All Day All You Can Eat because of the "All Day Specials" that are limited to one per person. All Day Specials included oysters, Hawaiian Seafood Poke, sashimi roll, salmon carpaccio, Q Roll, and uni. However, our server later told us that uni wasn't available - we wished that he would have told us before we upgraded. That's ok... my friend enjoyed the Poke and i enjoyed the oysters. Our server was a young male, but later, a young female came to our table and took our orders. Sometimes, we wondered if the guy forgot to bring our orders to us or did he forget to put our orders in? Anyway, we ate as much as we could to get our money's worth! The place was bright and clean! It was relatively busy for a Monday, but we easily found free parking in the shared lot. Cheong Dam Food Hall is a fun spot for foodie adventures!

Yelp
Found another great ACE sushi spot.I think this place has the same owner as Mr Shota It's hard for me, because I don't eat raw food but the people I go out to dinner with love them. This place offers a great variety of both for their ACE. My friend loved the rice to seafood ratio. Service was very good and attentive too. Even had a choice of ice cream for dessert

Yelp
When you think of AYCE, usually they lack something but Price, quality, portions, taste, service, were all excellent. Totally worth it and it's on our list to come back again and again. No wonder why it has a 4.9 Yelp rating! Locals get a better deal of $24.95 at night starting at 9pm M-F with ID. Otherwise it's $24.95 for lunch M-F and $33.95 all day. It was a cold day in Vegas and we started off with the mini udon. Loved that it was a small bowl to not be wasteful. We maxed out on all the specials that limited us to 1 per person. We ordered 4 rounds. I would recommend to create a list of what you want and read it off when they come. It'll be faster. Also write down the quantity. Most items come in pairs. If you don't limit, the set can come out as per person and you'll get full easily. We did a test round and limit one plate and ordered more the next round if we liked it. All the items throughout the menu that has the symbol "1" is so worth it like grilled salmon collar. The dessert was also limited to 1 per person. You get 80 minutes to dine and for the first time, we exhausted our time. Plenty of parking and located in a food hall. You can walk around to check out other vendors while you wait.

Yelp
Visiting and my friend who lives in Vegas wanted to try this place out. It's in the Cheongdam Food Hall! I usually don't do all you can eat because it's really too much food for me but this was a special occasion to see my friend so why not? All the sushi was so good and I like that the nigiri had a good proportion of fish and rice! The rice wasn't too much and it was perfect. I liked the seared fishes, I think I liked the seared ahi (tuna). I liked the spicy rose pasta also! I wanted to eat more and try everything like the donburi and sushi burritos BUT that will fill you up and I was trying to get my money's worth (haha!). You also don't have to do AYCE, you can just order stuff off the menu. Their menu is pretty clear and gives you the price for everything and what is on the AYCE and not. Atmosphere - Cute place and they greet you like every Japanese place where everyone from the host to the servers to the cooks/chefs greet you. It's a brightly colored looking place and I mean the place literally has the word "Smile" in it so there are smiley faces and the whole place is yellow. They have their own seating as you come into their space. The other restaurants have the general public seating. Service - Our server was so nice and checked in with us to make sure we needed anything. She gave us good recommendations when we asked or were on the fence about something. She checked in a lot and was attentive. Cost - We did lunch AYCE so it was cheaper than dinner so it was like $25 per person then add some tip. Parking - It's like a plaza so it's free parking and there was plenty parking when I went. Location - When you walk into the food hall, it's the first place to your right, it's yellow, can't miss it. I would definitely come here again because all the food was so good! Can't go wrong!

Yelp
I honestly thought this place was a dental office when I first drove by on Durango. Who knew Smile Shota was simply the best "All You Can Eat" (AYCE) sushi place in Vegas? What used to be a Dollar General Neighborhood Market has been converted into a Korean food-themed food court with Smile Shota as the anchor restaurant. And yes, the owners of Smile Shota are Korean but it doesn't matter because the quality of the fish is superb and we all know fish can't tell us Asians apart anyway. So let's talk about the fish again. No fishy business here since all the sushi was fresh and unlike old school AYCE sushi places, they don't stuff the sashimi with rice. I remember going to Todai back in the day and having to sink the rice into the miso soup. No need to do that here. Smile Shota offers both lunch and dinner options, but trust me, pay the extra $10 for their limited-order items (available for just one round per table) like the salmon belly and uni (sea urchin). It's 100% worth it. Since the makeover from the Dollar General, this entire food court is now called Cheongdam which is ironic since Cheongdam is a bougy neighborhood in Seoul. When we were at Cheongdam Food Hall in December 2024, there was curry, tonkatsu and a mini mart-style grab-and-go place that even had the Korean instant ramen machines from those Kdramas. However Smile Smota is what makes this food court legit. I mean, Smile Shota was definitely the best bang for the buck... ahem "dollar". Smile Shota... makes this Shorty Smile. Note: If you ever walk into a "Japanese" restaurant and the entire staff yells at you in some incomprehensible Japanese greeting, 10 times out of 10 it's a Korean-owned Japanese spot lol.

Yelp
We came to Smile Shota last month while we were in Vegas. My aunty recommended this place because it's nearby and it's their favorite sushi spot. It is located in the Cheongdam food hall off Durango. There is ample parking in the lot and many other food places in the food hall. This place is AYCE $26.95/lunch $33.95/all day. The only difference between the two menus is a couple of items such as the scallops, uni, etc. For a party of four on a weekend we got seated right away and the interior is bright, spacious and clean. Right away we were excited to look at the menu and start ordering. Some of the food we tried was the seared salmon, seared tuna, spicy rice cake & sausage, cheese corn, soft shell crab, The Shit, coconut shrimp, Hot Cheetos roll, Bruno Mars special, Lisa Lisa roll, Jack Pot roll. Everything overall was very tasty with no complaints. We're from Hawaii so the only thing for us though was their spicy ahi is kind of different - not as much mayo and more pasty rather than chunks of tuna. *Pro tip: order 1/2 portion of a roll so you can try more!* Overall, everything about this place was great and I can see why it has such great reviews! Our server was also very attentive and answered all of the questions that we had about menu items without a description. At the end of the meal, you get a complimentary dessert (ice cream - Thai tea, Oreo, matcha, strawberry OR an affogato - Korean coffee with ice cream). We would definitely come back when in Vegas again!

Yelp
This all you can eat restaurant is in a newer Japanese food hall that used to be a Walgreens. Immediately walking in you can tell it's organized well and is very clean! Service was fantastic and is obviously a priority here. All of the fish was fresh and the dishes were consistent quality. Generous portions and I love that every roll is not just spicy crab in a different shape like some other spots I've been to recently. I ate the garlic tuna and garlic salmon nigiri, baked green mussels, shrimp tempura, no name roll, hot Cheetos roll, and the affogato for desert. Everything was delicious and I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
Came on a Friday night, was sat right away. They did get rid of the BOGO so don't come here thinking you'll get half off. It is $33/person and I feel for that price you can go to top sushi or neko. The service was exceptional, super quick for everything even hot food. Never had to ask for refills. It was super casual, kid friendly. Speaking of kid ...Ages 4-7 are $15. I would not bring my child, I feel like it would be a waste. The yellow tail wasn't top tier so we only ordered it once. Fish to rice ratio was great, it's not packed with rice so that's a plus! I always judge a sushi restaurant based on the salmon which was good here. I would come back
google avatar

Alice C.

Yelp
The food here is fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I was ready to give this place 5 stars, but there's one issue I can't ignore: their "super white tuna" is actually escolar, not true white tuna. When I asked, the waiter even admitted it's escolar, which has caused me issues in the past. Mislabeling like this is frustrating and potentially harmful, especially when transparency is so important in dining. If they were upfront about the menu, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

Yelp
Smile Shota - A Hidden Gem in the West Side Food Hall Smile Shota is a sushi lover's paradise tucked within a vibrant food hall showcasing tastes from around the world. Despite being an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) spot, the quality of the food is undeniably premium, with an impressive variety to satisfy every craving. I tried the Aloha poke bowl, which was bursting with fresh, tropical flavors, and the Cheetos roll--a playful and flavorful homage to my favorite chips. Both dishes were incredibly well-prepared, highlighting the creativity and attention to detail of the chefs. If you find yourself on the west side, make sure to stop by Smile Shota. It's a must-try destination that offers a unique and delicious dining experience. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Came here with a large party for lunch. You'll find this place inside the Cheong Dam Food Hall. Seems to be the spacious of all the other food spots with plenty seats. We were seated promptly right after our whole party arrived. The place was clean. The servers were all friendly and attentive. We all had the all you can eat. We tried a little bit of this and a little bit of that of almost the whole menu. Everything was delicious. Tasty and fresh. Ice cream for dessert was a bonus.

Yelp
Our server Ron was the best. Very fast service and detailed explanation of the menu. Thanks again!

Yelp
This has been on our must visits for a while. They have a locals deal for a limited time Mon-Thursday after 9pm with valid nv ids so it was the perfect opportunity! It's a cute place with smiley faces everywhere. It's pretty spacious and at the time we went we were sat quickly. The server (female) was a delight. She was so helpful and offered her favorite desserts as recommendations. The Thai tea ice cream was sooo good! I got the aloha bowl and the only thing weird was that one bowl was different the second time I ordered it. So the ingredients weren't consistent. Other than that we had a great time and will be returning to try the other spots in the food hall too!
google avatar

Victoria K.

Yelp
I decided to go for the BOGO. It runs Monday-Thursday after 9pm. It's a great deal and with a 20% tip it's about $46 for two people. We like to make it $50 just cause they are so fast and so efficient with food...not so much with beverages. The food is pretty standard and no option for the All-Day or 1 per person items. The nigiri is good, there is a good chunk of rice and would prefer less rice, but its okay. The burritos are a great option, especially with the soy paper. The staff is friendly and the ambiance is bright and welcoming. Overall a great late night deal

Yelp
So I LOVE AYCE sushi. Like, a little too much. I've gone to a ton of AYCE places and this one is near the top of the list! They have a large menu including appetizers. Everything we ordered was great. The restaurant is also adorable with the smiley faces everywhere - great photo ops! The best part about this place though was the service! Bryan helped us and he was fantastic! Everyone here was so nice and attentive. We're looking forward to coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
We love love love love coming here. They have a great atmosphere and we never have to wait to seat. We always do AYCE and it never disappoints. My fav! Everything is delicious. The yuzu yellowtail and seared salmon belly is fire

Yelp
Another sushi spot in town that offers so many variety of fish, sides, etc. Went here for the first time and was thoroughly happy with the overall quality of fish, service, and aesthetic. Fish to rice ratio was great and fish served were fresh especially the uni and amaebi. The waiter we had was nice and helpful. They did add automatic gratuity for our group of 5. Upon coming in at 7:30 pm on a Sunday night, the place wasn't busy at all so we got seated immediately. Please note that you need your entire party here or they will not seat you which is standard in most places. We did get seated immediately and got help immediately too. I recommend getting the limit 1 person such as uni, amaebi, salmon belly, etc because they're always worth it and this place had great quality on all the above!

Yelp
Grateful foodie friends took me to Smile Shota. More so knowing that my favorite sushi spot closed down. I been few times now. Things stood out compared favorite spot before sushi house goyemon. The appetizers section is lot more diverse and bigger selection. Nigiri and speciality rolls see all norms most AYCE spots. The nigiri truly stands out in general the amount of rice each piece is nothing. Literally getting order of sashimi. Love it. The quality of the fish is top notch, fresh, and go through product always key for me sushi. The speed that order comes out is crazy fast. U barely have time to think about second round have all first round in mins. Not that ever bad thing especially comes to AYCE style. I never had bad thing on menu been three or four times now. Service five stars!! Hostess to wait staff. Amazing! Smile Shota da bomb for sushi!

Yelp
Finally decided to give this place a try after the countless incredible reviews. This place is owned by the same folks that run Sushi Neko so expect everything to be nearly identical. This is an all you can eat located inside a pretty innovative food hall, but this has its own restaurant with its own seating. I came in on a Friday night and waited about 15 minutes before I was seated, which was expected. We got seated and were provided just one menu. It took about four minutes before our server initially greeted us and he had asked if it was our first time there, it was. The entire experience was pretty rushed, which I want to try to understand however, they don't make you feel special at all and seem very much go go go. We did the all you can eat dinner special at $33 which is a phenomenal price point for all you can eat sushi. Of course at $33 you get what you pay for. All of the rolls taste the same... the carpaccio is limited to one order per person with an à la carte pricing of $16 if you order separately. What was shocking for me was the fact that it only came with two pieces as a carpaccio dish. I had asked the waiter to confirm if it was the same thing if we ordered separately and he quickly said yes. I have never been to a sushi restaurant where they only give you two very small pieces of a carpaccio and call it an entire dish. The sushi is reasonable, but of course not the best quality of fish... Like I previously mentioned you get what you pay for. What's nice about this place is that they do offer half rolls which comes with just four pieces so if you are a person that loves to try different things this is a great option. As a heads up anything that has the "crunch" on top of the roll is filled with food dye. All the crunch is a very vibrant color and it is very unappealing. They did a great job with the interior and made it very inviting. Everything is still pretty new and there is enough seating for you not to wait too too long. The service however, is very questionable. Everything was very rushed and it seemed as though they just wanted to get us out of there. FEEDBACK for the restaurant: - I do recommend having the servers slow down and take their time. Just a little bit to provide a better customer experience. - Do not use food dye to try to make the crunch on the rolls look appealing, this is very questionable. Simply use the color of what crunch is - lose the artificial food dye. - If carpaccio is limited to one order per person, at least include three pieces. I am glad I got to try this place because now I personally have my opinion about it. It's very unlikely that I will be returning back. My review is as follows: - Food: 2/5 - Service: 3/5 - Ambiance: 4.5/5

Yelp
Located in the Cheongdam Hall. When I walked in everything was sooo cute from the walls to the ceilings of the smiley faces. We got seated within 5 mins, a few tables as this is not a big restaurant. Waters were served right when we sat down and our server Seiko was the cute and so polite. She made our visit very pleasant and reminded me of going to authentic Japanese restaurants. We ordered a variety of sushi's as I pictured below and everything was fresh. Portions were a good size. I am not a huge eater so I do plan on coming back to try different things. Parking was a bit hard but we parked towards the back side Thank you Seiko for your service!

Yelp
This is a new AYCE sushi gem in Las Vegas! The fish portions are incredible, the rice is polished right and appropriate portion per piece of sushi. No filler rice here. I haven't left a sushi review in ages due to so many spots having weird service (ie server never comes back to the table to place order, or rude) INCREDIBLE SERVICE! Our server tended to our table wonderfully and the service from the kitchen was speedy and even kitchen staff were friendly. Must try if you're looking for a fresh new sushi place!!! If you want to try something different, order this appetizer "pan rosé seafood". Our server recommended it. It's like an Italian/Sriracha fusion dish, very delicious!

Yelp
Went during the BOGO deal and they are great! I definitely love their rice ratio because it's not too much to make you fool off a full set but it's not too little either. Their service is amazing the staff is friendly. I do wish tho they were more diligent in serving refill for water BUT they were super busy. I just drink like a fish hahah. I liked their appetizers it's a nice balance of apps to fish. (Some places are more apps or are more fish) I LOVE their dessert (that's a def looker for me) the package of the ice cream is too cute and oh their garlic lobster toast?! OH MAN! happy Holidays!

Yelp
First time here at Smile Shota and loved it! The energy here felt great and we did in fact leave a smile on our face. My family and I came for my sister-in-law's birthday. Came here around 5pm and the service was super nice. We were greeted by Josh and he started us off taking our order and he was so great. Then later on, our server switched to Lyssette and she was super awesome and on top of things! We enjoyed everything from beginning to end. My family is not a big sushi fan so it was great they had unlimited skewers and so many options that were not sushi. However, I'm a big sushi fan and their nigiri was really fresh. Definitely going to be my go to sushi place.

Yelp
Decided to try Smile Shota after all the hype and reviews and I have to say everything was so on point. The service was excellent, sushi was great and continuous, and our water was never empty. Our server Seiko was super sweet and amazing. We hope to be as happy and hard working as her. Will def go back. PS order the calamari tempura and scallop nigiri. So freaking good.

Yelp
Service: 1/5 (sorry service experience weighs heavily on the server. 5-star busser though!) Food: 4/5 Walking in, the plaza feels like you've just stopped in Asia! The market was cute the vibe was a food court blended with sit down restaurants so you. A cater to a quick meal or sit down at a place like Smile Shota. I think overall the experience would have just been better with a better server--or just someone who is qualified to be a server. We came in on January 18th at around 8:30-8:45pm. Server was a fair-skinned, dark hair slender woman with an accent. (I'm mainly saying this so managers know which person I'm referring to). She didn't even really check in on us or tell us anything about the menu or let alone really check up on us or out in the correct orders lol. We had guests we brought and we really wished there was more to the experience because I could tell our guests were annoyed by the end of it. As far as the menu and the kitchen, they were great! Overall a great selection for the price. I would expect them to keep uni on the menu if it's a 1-time item. But understand if they just ran out for the evening--will see next time if they have it. I would definitely go back but maybe not on a Saturday night with that same server. Really wish we had a different server. Ours left us with a very stale experience. I would have rather ordered on a machine myself at this point. The busser, I believe his name was JC, was on point! He picked up all our extra plates and did it swiftly. If he was our server I would be more happy to tip more. He was so much more present than our server and I think that's sad. He did all the work but I know she takes majority of the money home. She literally had nothing to say about the menu. I don't even think she introduced herself (probably so she doesn't get bad reviews) and was like was this your first time? And we said yeah and she's basically was like okay you can do AYCE or not lol and tell me what you want lol I really don't remember the last worst experience I had with a server. Literally I am happy to speak with the manager and will walk back in that restaurant and bring her to the manager just to tell them how bad it was and so they know exactly who I'm talking about. I try not to be so hectic about my feedback because I worked in F&B for about 8 years and I understand that more often and not it's a staffing issue. Generally you can tell if the server cares and is trying at the very least. This time around it was not busy at all. We had a 15 min wait and the place wasn't even packed. The worst part is these types of servers tend to think they're amazing always try to blame it on guest being needy, etc. and honestly yeah, it tends to be that way because people feel entitled when they're spending money. But like, seeing your server every once in a while is nice. Having a server who genuinely cares about your experience is also nice. We just didn't get either of those two things. She was straight up leaning on the wall while taking our order and made no attempt to provide good service. She even tried to be snappy with us when we were asked about this extra shrimp tempura that we didn't order. We were just trying to ensure we weren't charged for it since we weren't going to eat it. At most AYCE, if you order too much and don't finish, they tend to charge you. And she was like "uh no see I didn't put that in" and proceeded to try and show us her iPad. Then she missed a few orders and we asked, okay did you get those items in there. And lo and behold--she did not! She wasn't even sorry about it. She just left and said she put it in now. Unless they re-train this server without tips to learn what it takes to actually earn them, they will forever get worse and people won't return. Will be willing to give it one more try because the food was good but I pray to whatever ominous entity you believe in (or don't believe in) that none of y'all ever get this server. Good luck y'all!

Yelp
It was our first time dining and discovering unexpectedly delicious sushi at Smile Shota inside a mall plaza in Las Vegas We came in for lunch on a Sunday (8/4/24) with a party of 8 and we're seated promptly . I didn't expect much but their premium AYCE impressed me ($33.99). Our server was so efficient and have the eye for detail on what everyone needs. Too bad I didn't get his name. The food was excellent! My favorites were the uni, ama ebi, and salmon belly. I also like the size/portion of all the dishes at this restaurant, and their sushi/nigiris are fresh, full of flavor, and had no fishy taste. There was an incident where one of the unagi roll had a bone, and we brought it to their attention and they fixed the problem. There were also other nearby food options inside the food court offering macarons, boba, noodles, and more. Smile Shota is a win in my book & highly recommended!

Yelp
With each trip to Vegas, we always have an AYCE sushi dinner on our meals agenda. We tried four different places over the years and there are now new places that have opened up. With two new places are my list, I opted for Smile Shota based on its high Yelp review ratings. Located in the Cheongdam Food Hall, they are the largest restaurant there. We arrived at 5:30pm on a Sunday and were promptly seated at a booth. A cute smiley face is their logo and you see it at the check-in area and around the restaurant, which was modern and spacious with booths and tables. All the AYCE's I've been to had a 90 min limit, but they had an 80 min limit. Our waitress, Lyssette, came to take our drink orders and since we had looked at the menu online and jotted down our preferences, we put in our first order. We started with some of the All Day Specials, which were limited to one per person and other one per person items on the menu. For our second order, we went with nigiri sushis, seared nigiris, salad, and grilled items. Lyssette was great and would frequently stop by to check on us to see if we need to place an order. Our empty plates were efficiently cleared by buss staff. We loved the nigiris and for the fish ones, how they cut the fish at long piece and they sat on top of tine sushi rice balls. The salmon and yellowtail carpaccio, salmon belly, ama ebi, aomori scallop, soft shell crab, fresh water eel, seafood salad and cucumber salad were some of our favorites. We had the salmon and yellowtail kama and like the yellowtail one since it was good-sized and meaty. They are lightly battered and deep-fried instead of grilled. We were given complementary strawberry lychee soju tastings during our meal. We were finished with our sushi by the 60th minute and finished off with our dessert, affogato and matcha ice cream. We were happy campers with this delicious AYCE sushi meal. We agreed that this was the best of all the AYCEs that we've tried for the freshness and quality of the sushi. Great service from Lyssette and staff. We will back again.

Yelp

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday for lunch. We opted for AYCE and was seated quickly. Service was great the whole time and food came out relatively quickly. The rice to fish ratio is on point here. It definitely rivals neko. Fish tasted fresh and I loved all the apps they have. Their cucumber salad is one of the best I've had. Overall, great meal and service and we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Wow! Price point and quality of food is amazing! I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or even if you're traveling to vegas. The restaurant is in a food hall, which I thought was a cool concept. I don't eat raw fish but do I love myself seared fish. The fresh water eel was my favorite. We ordered maybe 10 orders of these! I can't get over the price point for this AYCE restaurant! Also, the menu and the selection this place offers is impeccable!!

Yelp
So this place was on YELP's top 100 sushi spots in the country.. I had to check it out! First off it's located in a small food hall with five other businesses; but it's easy to find as it's on your right as soon as you walk through the main entrance. We were seated quickly and the host and servers were great! There were four of us and we all did the All you can eat option. I think we tried most of the menu. The nigiri was great big pieces of fresh fish with a little ball of rice underneath. The rolls were creative and tasty especially the monkey roll with the fried banana on top. Least favorite was the beef bulgogi as it didn't contain much meat and the meat wasn't very tender. After gorging on fresh fish we ordered our ice cream which came in a little sealed container (guess you could take it to go if you want) and was offered in five different flavors. Would definitely return.

Yelp
I came for my 47th Birthday Day Dinner. I have never been here before. I can say I was very happy with the customer service. All of the servers and even the host were exceptional. The ambience is inviting, chill and fun. The food was really good. My only complaint is that for some menu items. They need to word them differently. Like the sweet potato fries. I was expecting regular style sweet potato fries. However, they were like fried shoe string style. The flavor was good. Yet, I was disappointed they were not in regular form as I had anticipated. KFC- I thought I was getting like fried chicken wings. Yet it was a clump of chicken. The flavor was bomb and presentation was on point. I just didn't expect it to be a clump of chicken. This spot is hands down one of my top casual sushi dining restaurants now. The menu is endless and so is the all you can eat sushi. You truly get your money's worth. I highly suggest stopping by for your next bite to eat. You won't regret it. Nor will your pockets. Very affordable!

Yelp
AYCE sushi fun with the fam! Got to visit Smile Shota with everyone in tow for a birthday dinner. Folks were so welcoming to us! Very minimal wait for a table of 5, very nice spot! We did the all day menu for $33.95 a person and we ate soo much: -Coconut Shrimp -Pork Belly Skewer -Spinach Tempura -Salmon -Salmon Belly -Garlic Salmon -Seared Lemon Salmon -Ocean Trout -Tuna -Lemon Salmon Roll -Dragon Roll -Double Dragon Roll -Bulgogi Kimbap Roll (unique for AYCE) Lots of great choices! Food overall great - appetizers came out fresh & hot, rolls and nigiri were less on the rice & more on the fish, cuts of fish awesome quality wise. Service was fast & prompt and super friendly. Can't ask for much more! The selection of nigiri/rolls here at Smile Shota is fairly impressive. We didn't get to try it all this time around. But you can be sure we'll be back again for another visit! Smile Shota definitely left a 'smile' on our faces! Can't wait for next time!

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. You won't believe how fast the food comes out. It is ayce, so expect that kind of quality. Parking can be tricky if you're dead set on parking in front of the building. There is plenty of parking though if you look around

Yelp
Came back just because we were wanting to indulge in good food. The nigiri's looked slimmer but the fish and rice ratio was still good. Some things we love disappeared from the menu like the spinach tempura but it's all good. Service is still good.

Yelp
This place definitely WILL make you smile ! It was our first time and we WILL be back! We met the kids & our granddaughter here for lunch. The kids had been a few times and highly recommended it. We had the all day AYCE bc we like quite a few of the premium items. I'm always on the hunt for no rice rolls and rice free options. Obviously if I'm going for AYCE eat sushi I'm not counting calories for that meal. However, I don't care for rice so I'm not interested in wasting the calories and carbs on it. They offered a cucumber wrapped Q-roll, seafood salad, stuffed tomato roll, lots of grilled skewers, teriyaki chicken, bulgogi which were all rice free and delicious! My favorite was the seafood salad. It had an assortment of sashimi, cucumbers slices, crab stick and a light sesame dressing...yum! A few other items we ordered were: Ebi Ocean trout Lisa Lisa roll Dynamite roll Baked muscles Seared salmon Lemon salmon nigiri Bulgogi fries (bomb btw) Tuna nigiri Mushroom skewers (meh) Coffee Ice cream The layout of the restaurant was very clean, simple modern decor and very open with low partitions between the tables. Kind of invites conversation if you're seated next to a social group. The gentleman and his wife sitting next to us was quite friendly and cooing over our granddaughter. We would have enjoyed talking with him more but enjoying the food was dominating our attention The prices are comparable to other competitors but definitely one of our new fav AYCE spots. Service was great. Our hostess and server were polite and were on top of it. We had a great experience and look forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Came here for a super early dinner with two of my friends. I don't typically go to AYCE joints anymore since I can't eat a lot and the quality is usually very mediocre. Don't worry, Smile Shota didn't change my mind today. Smile Shota is located in Cheongdam Hall and they have their own little area that is separated from the food booths. They offer AYCE sushi or if you want it, you can do a la carte. For AYCE, they have two options -- they have a lunch and an all day special. The lunch is cheaper but is only available until 4PM. My friends and I decided to go with their lunch special, which excludes the premium items. We tried a good amount of things including: Spinach tempura - you really only taste the batter. Spicy edamame - covered in a garlic spicy sauce. I think I prefer the reg. Beef short rib skewer - overcooked and low quality. Pork belly skewer - overcooked and not great. Kurobuta sausage skewer - first one was great. second one was overcooked. Salmon - good. Seared lemon salmon - good. Albacore - decent. Super white tuna - covered in sauce so can't really taste the fish. Octopus - decent. Ikura - good. Unagi - decent. Seaweed salad - decent. My friends did get some rolls but I didn't try them. Nothing particularly stood out. When the fish wasn't covered in sauce, it was pretty good. The fish to rice ratio was good -- they didn't a whole lot of rice. However, some of the rice was overcooked and borderline mushy. The texture at that point was not pleasant. The ice cream at the end was good. Service was also OK. There weren't a whole lot of tables and it wasn't busy at all but we still had to flag a server down to order more food -- they tend to group up and chat. Towards the end, we had to ask someone for our server and they said they would get our server for us but never did. They also gave us another table's order by accident at the very start. They realized their mistake when we looked confused and took it back but I'm unsure if they gave it to the correct table afterwards or if they followed proper procedure. I ordered one order of albacore and they gave me two ... so if you can't eat a whole lot, be sure to have them repeat your order back to you. Those in charged of clearing used plates and water were on point. Overall, food is OK but service is a bit lackluster. I don't think I would be back.

Yelp
I personally love smile shota! We have been here about 3 times now and the food is amazing. I love the ambiance and vibes of the food hall. The nigiri is so fire Ron was our server this go round and he was attentive and on his game. Thank you for another great visit.

Yelp
BOGO AYCE sushi? Heck yeah. $33.95 total for two people from 9pm -Closing. This is a new thing that just started last Sunday, they also revamped the whole menu-- some items are no longer available from the old menu. -Sushi came in extremely fast ! Last call was 11pm we were seated at 1040 pm LOL. -Nigiri were delicious and wasn't over powered by rice(was almost like a sashimi which means more fish to eat) -Extensive sushi roll menu, all were delicious ( especially the something wrong roll and Bruno mars roll) also not overly filled with rice! -Great service, super friendly people -Cute smiley neon faces inside the restaurant; which also makes you happy, they were playing some EDM music too which I liked
