Google
Such a darling little corner fresh produce farm market. It's on the corner of Bryan and Jeffrey. These photos are what happens to artichokes after they are past the harvesting stage. Aren't the purple flowers lovely?

Harish S

Google
Recent update: they are closed till March as per sign board. I liked their fresh red ripe strawberries, though it's available for plucking only in certain seasons.

Google
The best place to buy Christmas tree - great choice, great price (I've seen twice more expensive trees just few miles away), great staff and service!!

Brent Katowitz

Google
3 of 3 strawberry trays featured wilted, fly-infested product. I've seen feces with less flies! If you're going to advertise strawberries as a featured product, make sure you have quality and plentiful stock. The worker couldn't be bothered.

Google
This place is expensive! No pricing is posted and the guy raised his voice at me as of he was mad when I questioned how much each of the items I was purchasing was. Won't be coming back here again.

Google
Awesome service and fresh fruit and vegetables all the time

Google
Always great, fresh, organic produce. I much prefer to shop here for fruits and veggies than supermarket. Most just picked fresh same day and prices are great too!

Very delicious vegetables and strawberries!

Yelp
This is a cute local produce stand off Bryan and Jeffrey. We stopped in to grab some strawberries and they were the sweetest we have found at this time of year. Great deep berry flavor and not watery like the grocery store strawberries. The employee behind the counter both times I went was a nice lady that wore her mask when we stepped in and was nice enough to answer our questions about the bee pollen they had. Would definitely recommend. $10 minimum for card payment otherwise cash.

Yelp
My boss shared with us some tomatoes that he got from Smith Farms. They were huge! A gorgeous rich red color with an aroma that filled the whole office! We couldn't wait to take ours home and try them out. They were as absolutely delicious as they were stunningly beautiful! I actually hadn't had a tomatoe that tasted that good since my youth, so I knew I had to write a review! My boss also said everyone there was so nice and helpful, and said we should go out and check it out the next time we are oput that way.

Yelp
it says open online everyday but theyre actually CLOSED on monday. I want my gas money back...

Yelp
Everything in stock looked old. Very little merchandise. One person behind the counter grunted when I asked a question. Will never shop here. Going back to Manassero Farms!

Luu N.

Yelp
We bought pre-packaged of tomatoes from this farm in the farmers market. Brought home. Half of the tomatoes are rotten.

Yelp
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS if you are wise. you think you are entering a local business/farmer and you want to support them. WRONG. They will treat you like they don't need/want you there AND the food they offer are disgusting. I came here with my mom and husband looking for fresh fruits/vegs to buy. First entered the tent at around 1pm, it's dark and dim inside like it's night time. There's a hispanic guy leaned back on a chair with his feet up on the table stares at us doesn't say a thing. You see 2-3 beat up tables with 2 trays of what you can call remnants of fruits.. so beat up and wilted. Flies buzzing around them. I asked if this is all they had and asked how much the couple of items on display was and the guy seemed he didn't understand and mumbled some words back I can't even make out. Something like $12 for a small pack of beaten up strawberries with flies. Are you serious? What is this place doing exactly? They always advertise fresh and organic fruits but that is NOT what I witnessed. Not sure how they are surviving, must be selling wholesale to some local businesses/market to survive because it definitely is not from the stall they sell out of that's making any money. If you're looking for beaten up fruits/vegs and terrible service then go here.

Yelp
It's hard to imagine that this place is legit business. They sell hardly anything. The "fresh" strawberries were wilted and molded over... and I was there @ 9am.

Yelp
I went to this farm last week for strawberries and vegetables first if all the strawberries here mentioned organic plucked fresh everyday on the outside banner it's not organic and it's not from this farm the taste is horrible the vegetables are mostly from outside when I tried to check with the person there he doesn't care to answer this is the second time I visited this farm first time I had same problem I thought may be he did not hear me but it's not hearing problem I think they have some attitude issues. I don't want to give this star too.

Yelp
We love this place. I always stop there and pick my strawberry on my way home from work. I did it because the price was right, and the people work there we're very nice. Today was different than any other day. The price was skyrocketed for no reason , other than greed. The service was awful .The guy sits behind the counter didn't even pay attention to me . I had to walk toward him and ask him what's the price of those strawberries. Which he answered $15 for those three small plastic boxes. Which I thought is ridiculous. I always like to support small businesses, but this one was outrageous. I turn around and left after interrupting his phone chat.i went to Ralph and I bought three huge boxes of strawberry and I paid for a large plastic box $2.50.each I got myself three boxes for $8.50. I really do not mind when there is no season for strawberry and I do understand the price will be high. But this time there is no reason for them to raise the prices especially when most of people are out of work.lastly I do not understand what happened to the beautiful smile we used to be welcomed with. Definitely i and my family will not buy our fruit and veggie from there any more. Lastly I would like to make sure you don't misunderstand me. It's not the price alone ,what's missing , the smile and the warm welcome we use to receive walking in . You should be reducing your price at this time not increasing the price due to covered 19 disaster, and show the community who supported you on a good time that you feel with them at the bad time.

Yelp
Worst experience of my life! The idiot employee with both earbuds in his ears couldn't answer any questions about which products were locally grown and then left. After I gathered my items I called out to him, kept calling, then walked out back behind the counter as I kept calling. I finally got tired of looking so I walked back to the front where the guy was now standing. I told him he was rude for having walked out and not even responding when I was calling out. I started speaking to him in Spanish because he obviously doesn't speak English and he was laughing at me as he was ringing me up! Totally rude. I walked out with nothing I was so upset!

Dahlia R.

Yelp
Purchased strawberries. They had WORMS in them. Their selection was really lacking and it seemed much of it was not grown there.

Yelp
Great market for fresh fruits and vegetables. good job you guys! Don't worry about these paranoid people they will always have something bad to say.

Yelp
Disappointing. I've been to Smith's many times in the past without issue but my most recent visit was a bust in every way. I'll start by saying I haven't been inside a store/market since the initial CA stay-at-home order so this was kinda a big step for me. I got to the market and quickly discovered no signage about COVID precautions to be seen. I brought a sanitizing wipe out of my car and wiped down one of their baskets since there were no wipes in sight. Immediately, I notice two employees who don't say a word to me - one of which isn't wearing a mask at all. I cringe... and decide I'll just go quickly and hope for the best. I gather all my items as quickly as possible. I walk towards the counter to pay... Little slip of paper hanging from the counter with a handwritten sign - "Cash Only. Credit Card machine broken." or something like that. I froze. "Cash only?" The employee with no mask nods. I sigh. Well, that won't work. I don't carry cash. Especially in a pandemic. No apologies. No, "Hey, sorry for the inconvenience, let us put away the basket of fruits and veggies for you." Nothing at all. I unload the basket. Walk out. And realize what a horrible experience it was considering the health risk.

Yelp
This corner stand is right in the middle of what is left of the strawberry fields in the northern part of Irvine. But for the recent housing downturn, all of the remaining fields would have surely been plowed over, under, and built on by now. It's like having a mini Farmers market at your disposal every day. The size of the stand is not much different than what your local supermarket may have but the variety and freshness is superior. It's not all organic but they do stock a fair amount of the naturally grown stuff. The prices are good but not great and as with all produce it's seasonal so some items and selection are better at certain times of the year. Of note, I would not go right after a car wash either as the parking lot is unpaved and can be dusty and there isn't any street parking. It's a nice bit of a rural feel just minutes from the bustling 5 fwy and a great place to get your fruits and veggies without going to the market or waiting for the farmers market to come around.

Yelp
They say they are a Certified Organic Farm so their produce is all organic. Or so one would think! ]I purchased some fruit from here and they had a sticker on it with a 4-digit code starting with the number 4. Well, this labeling means that the produce was grown the conventional way and not organically. Organic stuff starts with the number 5. There is quite a nice selection of veggies, but the fruits were just so so. The strawberries were no where like those from Tanaka Farms and they don't sell it by the basket, but only by the 3 basket trays. Staff are kind of aloof. Had to take a star off for false advertising.

Yelp
My favorite Organic farm! No buddy bets there sweet strawberries and veggies!!! I come here at lease once a week and stock up for the week.
google avatar

Anna N.

Yelp
Best strawberries we've had in a very long time!! Very sweet, and they smell and taste like real strawberries should! Just got two 3-packs at $20 total.

Eeeeee T.

Yelp
Strawberries were over ripe. I bought a 3 packs and by the time I got home the strawberries were going bad. I had to throw 10 of them in the trash. Then use the remaining in the blender for smoothies. So much for buying fresh organic strawberries. 3 packs for $15 was pretty expensive!

Yelp
Fresh, local, mostly organic fruits and veggies... why did I wait so long to finally check this place out? It's maybe 1/4 of a mile from where I live. So I will definetly be back! For about $21, I picked up - asparagus, two avocados, three apples, celery, a cucumber, a bag of carrots, a bag of mushrooms, two lemons, a jicama, four bananas, four red potatoes, two artichokes, and a butternut squash. I felt they were all better priced than the local market and even the farmers market I go to on Sundays. The celery was a deeper green than you will find in stores. Over all I'm super happy with my experience and food items.

Yelp
I didn't have the $$ to buy a lot here, nor the time to really shop around, but what I did find this weekend REALLY made me want to come back for more. Came here looking for fresh LIMES for my margaritas and tequila shots, and they did NOT disappoint. The had large limes that had the distinct feeling and taste of being freshly picked. And they were quite lovely to behold and decorate with. Limes of this quality and size are MUCH more expensive at the supermarkets. We enjoyed good limes in our drinks that evening, and they were the start of good conversations. Next time I am in the OC I will go out of my way to come here and sample more of the produce here, and see if my luck still holds!

Yelp
The strawberries are good. Buyer BEWARE....even though it's a fruit stand, not everything is organic and not everything is grown locally. Some of the produce are from South America, which I don't understand.

Yelp
I support Smiths !! Recently, we started going green, well as much as we can. That would entail buying local, BYOB,saving fuel, eating organic...... This is the Certified Organic farm from where I live. so we end up buying most of our fresh produce from here. They have decent stuff. Most stuff is fresh.I try to go on a tuesday or a friday, because that's when they seem to have the freshest stock come in. And I don't know what other yelpers mean when they say they don't carry organic. There is a clear division and everything is labelled. I would say buying from here in summers may not be a good idea because the place is not temperature controlled. But, then again that's the point of a farmers market. And certainly helps people like me who want to go green....buying from a low carbon footprint shop. I would highly recommend everyone support their local farm. Following some simple green rules will make our life a whole lot better. We in Irvine, are lucky to have access to freshly grown organic produce...make it worth it.

Yelp
How cool is it to go to a farm stand like you'd see on a country road, only this one is in the middle of Irvine! I made a quick detour here tonight on the way to meet up with my running club. I got three peaches, two ears of corn, and two overflowing baskets of organic cherry tomatoes, one red and one orange, all for $6. We ate the corn tonight, and it was excellent. I used the tomatoes for a tomato and basil salad. Very refreshing in this hot weather! I might not come here on a regular basis, but if I'm in the neighborhood, I'll stop by and see what looks good.

Yelp
Have to defend this stand's honor! Especially when ugly stucco boxes and one bitter yelper's (love ya!) medicore experience are threatening its survival! I've been frequenting this place since my parents moved my family here, and that was 21 years ago. So, if my fam has been coming here on a consistent basis, you have to believe that it has to be decent. My grandparents on my mom's side were farmers, so my mom really knows where the best fruit is. This place, definitely on the top 5 of her list. Although my skills aren't nearly as refined as hers, I can still pick some decent fruit, and I'd even venture to say I'm better at it than the average bear. So, I'd recommend stopping by the stand while you still can, grab some fresh fruit and veggies, and enjoying the history of when Irvine was mostly farmland, and not the odd place it has become.

Yelp
I am a Chef here in Irvine and I support this stand, sure everything today has a price if your a quality and not quantity shopper, however you will not find the quality of fruit and vegetables as you would here at Smith's stand, I use them in all my recipes and online products, as well I use their produce in my restaurants. So I rate this place with 5 stars, they are kind, friendly people and as long as you ask they always let you test drive before you buy. BTW. Use hand sanitizer often when handling the fruit and veggies it's good for you the product and the person who will eat it if you don't buy it! Thanks, Chef Joe Romano Irvine, CA

Yelp
I love this place. The people who work there are so friendly ~ I felt like a lame duck asking about the difference in "this" organic lettuce versus "that" and the woman working showed me all of the items that are grown on site and what is brought in from various places. I got a good, quick lesson. The red leaf lettuce grown on site sells for $2.99. This is about a dollar more than at the store, BUT it is such a HUGE head and SO fresh that it has lasted us for 2 weeks with no signs of wilting! Generally, we don't get a TON of stuff here and it's best to go earlier in the day as they don't have an abundance of some things (like lettuce and strawberries). We get avocados, grapes, strawberries, tomatoes and lettuce and typically spend under $8.

Christina S.

Yelp
Their strawberries are the sweetest! $11 for a 3 basket tray or $20 for 2 trays. They are a certified organic farm and they sell other fruits and vegetables.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
Love supporting local growers when available. Strawberries are fabulous! Great prices, decent selection.
google avatar

Claudia C.

Yelp
Yummmmmmmm!!! I go every week for our families produce. Best ever!!! Especially the lettuce and strawberries.

Jo C.

Yelp
This produce is suppose to be Certified. Half the strawberries have holes in them from birds. Lorrie, the owner said it shouldn't matter as birds don't have salivary glands. Birds eat dirty things and garbage. When I tried to go through the baskets the workers objected so I stopped going there. Strawberry Farms has great strawberries without holes made by birds.

christal j.

Yelp
This place has everything I needed! Great produce! I will definitely be back. So happy I finally stopped in.

Yelp
Mckay, is this You, Wow your the Great Fruit and Veggie guy, sounded like you were moving a lot of boxes, Looks Like I mite eat some my self, if you have any extra !! Sounds like a lot of people are saying good things, might say some a Lot, if I eat some ? Rick MVAT.

Yelp
I stopped in here on a whim and I'm so happy I did. The strawberries smelled amazing from 100 yards away, and they are absolutely the best strawberries I've ever tasted. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Karina V.

Yelp
Yummy strawberries! Enjoyed the organic fruits and veggies from the farm. Pleasant owner. Will definitely come back if in the area.
google avatar

Elaine K.

Yelp
Love this farm stand! Reasonably priced, the fruits and vegetables are very nice. We bought peaches there on Saturday and they were delicious! The peaches actually tasted like a peach, unlike anything you find in a supermarket. The grape tomatoes are so sweet and the okra - wow, it was fresh and the tip wasn't "bendie". If you're an okra fan, you will know what I mean.
google avatar

Leslie R.

Yelp
I usually try to get my produce from Whole Foods or the Great Park Farmer's market on Sundays but from now on when I need fresh produce - Smith's is my 1st place to go - everything tastes great and when they don't have what you need in the market - ask and they might have it in the garden and go pull it for you, as they did when I asked about mint the other day. I spent $18 and got 3 big bags full of the best fruits/veggies and herbs you could ask for!
google avatar

Rodney B.

Yelp
Oh man, I'm just crazy about this place!
google avatar

Yelp
Saw posted sign in front of Smith Farms about super sweet organic strawberries. Stopped by this weekend and bought some. They indeed have the BEST strawberries -- very fresh, juicy and sweet.

Yelp
Awesome local fruit and vegetable stand with great selection and prices!

Yelp
Great selection of organic produce and delicious strawberries. I live right around the corner and it beats any supermarket produce.

realized r.

Yelp
its been proven over and over again that there are no benefits to eating organic, With that said, i never goto pro-organic markets as i dont think the hype justifies the prices (and the snobiness that comes with it). However I decided to stop by here anyways as I am a firm believer in supporting local farmers. In my quest to find the best fruits (best oranges are in riverside btw), I stopped by here the other day and tried an assortment of stuff. Strawberries had a kick, I would say they are extremely good! Oranges - not good at all Watermelon had a fake color to it - it looked good but was lacking taste. The employees here were very helpful and nice, the prices weren't bad (but nothing great). This place is convenient to me so I will be back though I'll be staying away from the oranges and watermelons'

Yelp
Recently, I bought a jar of honey from Smith's Farms. It was truly delectable and it is definitely the best honey I have ever tasted. It's great knowing that the honey is gathered locally, on the farm. Even my allergies are improving since I began to eat this honey. I recommend this honey to everyone; it will be, by far, the best honey you have ever tasted. Also, they sell other honey from Apiary in Los Angeles, but that honey doesn't even compare to the honey at Smith's Farms.

Natalie V.

Yelp
Smith Farms is a diamond in the rough. The Smith family truly believes in providing the most incredible fruits and vegetables in all of Southern California. I have been making canned goods, including jams, jellies, pickles, antipasto relish, and all things creative because Smith Farms provides me with the best of everything. Natalie Vishny www.swellegant.com

Yelp
Family run business, some of which know costumers, like me, by name. Great family, amazing produce. Daily picked organic fruits and veggies which have amazing taste and the quality is excellent. Ive been to Fresh and Easy which is too expensive for the bland produce you get. And the rest of the supermarkets even Walmart and Target are nothing compared to this farmers market store. Biggest Fan

Patrick R.

Yelp
I've been going to this small farm for as long as I can remember. It's always nice to see this small farm in the middle of residential housing but I 'm done shopping here. The people they hire to manage the store are seriously unfriendly and rude.I went in at 1:30pm to shop and the bad attitude behind the counter refuses to talk.Instead he typed in the price of the item and on the calculator and shoved the receipt in front of me.Not a single word.Took my card to pay.Not a single word.He even looked angry that I would shop there.I sense this man doesn't like the type of people who live in Irvine.I get it! I try to shop local business because in the days of Walmart,Target,Amazon, and Costco the small business is getting screwed.So.I go out of my way to frequent their store. Now,I'm free of feeling that way.Thank's to this malcontent I'll go to Trader Joe's where they always kind to their customers and appreciate my business.

Jeff K.

Yelp
I love this place!! I was turned on to Smith's about 9 years ago and have been a regular customer ever since. I just bought organic lemons the other day for 5 for $1. My wife and I just finished a week of the Lemoande and Cayenne Pepper Diet and it saved us a ton considering the supermarket charges 79c. a lemon. It's certified organic and a terrific selection. We even bought our Christmas tree there. I don't know if it's organic, but one of the prettiest trees I can recall.
google avatar

Davis T.

Yelp
pretty cool local farm right on jeffrey and bryan! i live right across from here and its a nice place that sells fresh fruits, vegetables, and when in season pumpkins and christmas trees.

Michelle J.

Yelp
If you want to eat fresh fruits and veggies not that wax coated, pesticide laden stuff you find at the supermarket, then this is the place! Their prices are very reasonable and most of it is grown right next to the stand! They are always cheerful and helpful so if you have a question just ask! There is a Certified Organic farm right in the middle of Irvine. If you care about what you put into your body, come to Smith's Farms and taste the difference!

V T.

Yelp
This was my first time at Smith's....prices are better than trader joes but the selection was poor...was expecting more variety of produce....but still whatever they had was of good quality....
