Smith Spot BBQ

Decided to see what the square in Garland had for restaurants and stumbled across this gem. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with smiling faces and a welcoming atmosphere. The menu had plenty of options and I decided to try the Mel’s sandwich while my girlfriend tried the chipped brisket. Our food was made to order and the owner told me the Mac and cheese (although always good) was extra right today. We waited for our food and read some of the local magazine articles they’ve been in getting excited to try what we had ordered. Food was exceptionally made and the flavor was out of this world. One of the juiciest, most flavorful brisket sandwiches either of us had ever had. The Mac and cheese with it was the icing on the cake. We’ll definitely be back and will be telling friends and family about it!

Omg! Where has this been all my life! Finally a FLAVORFUL bbq joint! It's our 3rd time here, I'm just looking forward to the next decade of coming here. Owners are super friendly. Outside seating is shaded and comfy. And bonus: you can small the smoke from the smoker. Finally found a Brisket that smoky, tender, and juicy! It's given up on finding juicy Brisket. Mest mac-n-cheese. My husband said the greens took him back to his childhood. 😆 Can't miss this spot if you're within 5 mile radius.

If you're craving delicious BBQ without breaking the bank, this place is a must-visit. The meats are tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoked. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, from the brisket to the sides. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and great value—what more can you ask for?

My husband and I ordered here for the 1st time today. We were really craving bbq & google led us to this restaurant. The food was SO GOOD! I had the baby boi with Mac & cheese! 10/10. We will be back.

First time to visit. I ordered ribs and brisket. Both were tender, moist and tasty. Generous portions. Ribs had a tangy sauce with what looked like cherries. Regarding the brisket, I would have liked more smoke flavor. Service was great. Staff were friendly and most helpful. The place looked clean and inviting.

I came for the brisket, but fell in love with the ribs!! Visiting from Arizona for a few weeks and wanted some real Texas BBQ. I tried one of the other highly rated places in Garland before Smith Spot, and this place is so much tastier! Plus the friendly service and clean, inviting, casual atmosphere won me over. While waiting with my sweetheart for a big to-go order, the lady of the house brought over a couple ribs for us to try. One bite, and I was in heaven!! The BEST ribs I have ever eaten, by a mile. So good!!

Smith Spot BBQ has catered our company's Annual Employee Appreciation Day event for 2 years in a row! Everyone loves when the BBQ truck comes to campus, nothing but raves about the food! The brisket grilled cheese sandwich is 10/10!!! In addition to the food being great, the service is fast, the turnaround time on orders was just a few minutes! We fed 216 people this event.
