"At Smith, you’ll encounter lots of taxidermy and the feeling that a lumberjack or two might walk in at any moment, but everything else here is pretty normal and generally good. It’s kind of like having cocktails at a cabin in the woods, except you will likely not see a live bear. They also make one hell of an aperol spritz if you ask nicely for it, which is currently not found in the wilderness. "Imagine spending weeks isolated in a pod, expressing your innermost thoughts to a wall, and just as you fall in love with said wall, you get dumped. Now imagine you hear rumors that the wall (person) is still interested. You agree to meet up, and they take you to a place where there are more taxidermy creatures than people. That’s Smith for you. Bliss could have seen Zack’s reunion choice as a red flag from a mile away, but nothing sweeps someone off their feet like preserved deer heads and creepy paintings, right? "15th Avenue isn’t as flashy as 10th-12th, so it often gets overlooked. We’re here to say f*ck that noise. Literally. Smith earns a place in this guide because of its serene space that feels kind of like a fancy lumberjack’s cabin (not least because of the taxidermy on the walls). They happen to have a great burger, not to mention some of our favorite cocktails in the neighborhood, like a margarita with frozen watermelon cubes.
