"The popular craft beer company managed to turn around the small space in less than two months, with the hopes of further alleviating the crowds that can sometimes gather at their original brewery location. This new setup offers 17 Smog City taps, including some sours and one-off beers." - Farley Elliott

Such a great local business and resource! So fun to sit with friends. Play games. Listen to live music. Hear comedy. The list goes on. And the bartenders are fire. A great time!

A medium size brewery with some food trucks and outdoor seating. It gets pretty packed so securing a table can be a bit hard sometimes. Depending on amount of people, it can take a bit of time to get a drink based on their current set up and staffing. The beer is pretty good and they have a good selection of sours. They also had an anniversary party a few weeks ago so they have some unique selections. They aren't doing full flights right now, but you can get two small pours if you want to sample.

Went to the grand opening of Smog City West Brewery and Taproom and really enjoyed it! Has a wide range of very solid and tasty beers- we tried 10 of them and liked the IPA, pale ale and sour the best but appreciated most all of them. Smog City West offers a laid back atmosphere with different sitting options and a variety of games to play. Free guest WiFi is also available. Kid and pet friendly too. Really nice place to stop by and have a good beer in a casual setting. Welcome to the neighborhood Smog City West!

Delicious drinks! Friendly staff, chill vibes. Dog-Friendly but I always forget to bring my pup - maybe next time!

The table saison has a very mild sour taste. Very delicious Saison! The Buzzworthy Stout has a slight honey flavor and bourbon Barrel aged so there's that! I'd you like bourbon and honey this is your jam!!!

Go on a weekday when you need a drink and the whole world feels like it’s falling apart. Maybe it is. Maybe among the smog is how we must now move. Maybe nothing is as clear as we think it could be. Maybe life is just mistakes and beer. Plant trees, dance around them, make them grow. Be a part of something, enough for you both to need it.

What a cool place. Cheap it isn’t but cool it is. Great service and interesting twists on many beers, ales and somewhat ipa style drinks.

Google
Great place to get away from the crowd and still have EXCELLENT brews. Beertenders are always on point. And they have cards and board games for you to enjoy. Karaoke Saturdays so get your singing voice ready! Place a Takeout order at one of the nearby restaurants to bring food with you. Updated maritime decorations. Add a velvet Elvis painting and I will Never. Leave.

Yelp
Simply put, Smog City is one of, if not my favorite breweries from Los Angeles. And their tasting room here is a great place to really try the variety of brews they have as well as many you can't find in cans in stores around the city. Every time I have come here there is something new to try and the vast majority of the time they're home runs in my opinion. Even when it's something that I don't love, I appreciate the uniqueness of it. Their beers really do a good job of standing apart which I appreciate. They both follow the microbrew trends but also pave their own trail. I will say that this location is small so I wouldn't plan on bring a big group here. They want this place to feel cozy & it certainly does. I've never been here during some of their events, but I would imagine it could/would fill up fast so if you're looking to go to one of their comedy shows of whatever, get their early to ensure you're not stuck outside or against the wall. I know Torrance has a lot of microbrewery options. But Smog City really should be on the top of your list of places to check out.

Yelp
There is no food here at this location. But very small cute joint. They host comedy shows every fourth Thursday with an entrance fee I believe. Beer is fine, but too small to have a large party gathering overall pretty great!!

Yelp
Great ambiance and friendly service! Knowledgeable about the beers on tap and what we were looking for. There was live music and the beerologist even hopped on the mic! It is all craft beer on tap so just keep that in mind when you're coming here and not a beer person, luckily I am!

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and great beer - went for the chili potluck and had a good time. Friendly service as well.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy Craft Beers in this cute place to chill out while having some of the best brews in the South Bay. Bring an LP on Sundays and they'll play it for everyone to enjoy.

Yelp
I really like this brewery! We spontaneously decided to find a local brewery to have a quick beer, and this one showed up on Yelp. It doesn't look like anything from the outside, but insiste it's quaint and interesting. Love the light fixtures and the wallpaper they have. Since this was our first time here, we asked the bartender for their recommendations - we got the Little Bo, Sabre toothed squirrel and the mango Pango - all of them were really good. They offer 3 different sizes, 4oz, 8 oz, & full sized. All of their beers are very reasonably priced!

Yelp
BEST TRIVIA SPOT!!! But seriously, our daughter has spent two birthdays at Smog City West for their trivia nights. She doesn't know any other way. Sam is the best beertender ever, and knows exactly what you want. They don't have food, but you can bring your own. Brittany is the best trivia host!! (Insert high fives). Board games? They've got em. Chalkboard hallway and chalk to draw? You betcha. Simpsons arcade game? D'oh! Yup! Oh, and don't forget about the free books outside next door at the tutoring place to go peruse in between rounds. Thanks for all the good times, Smog City!!

Yelp
Nice, cozy environment and a wide selection of beers. This one is definitely more my vibe than the original location. The From LA Wit Love was great.

Yelp
I'm a lightweight, so I sampled three beers and tasted two that my friends had. I started with the coffee porter, which was strong and smooth with a back taste of coffee. Then I tried the Good Night Moon, a stout. Also smooth and tasty. Third was the Bourbon Barrel O.E. very different and will kick your butt at 14%. I'm not saying that it is an acquired taste, but it doesn't taste like beer. I tasted the Nothing 2022. A little heavy duty for me. I suggest a good steak to go with it. The New Normal is a great drinking beer. Light, not hoppy and a good balance. I have to admit, we brought yakitori in. They don't serve food. It helped to offset the alcohol. They had a bagpiper and a Celtic Pirate Band which made it a semi raucous evening.

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place after a meal next door. The guy working was super helpful in explaining all the beers they have and he was just awesome to talk to. I feel like this could be one of those regualr places you come to for a beer without too much noise. We got a flight of different beers to try and they were really good. The coffee one is sooooo good, we took a 4 pack home.

Richard D.

Yelp
Beer is great. No food. Small with little ambiance. Beer tender was fine, but talking to her boyfriend the whole time.

Yelp
Absolutely the best beers in town - so flavorful, fresh and delicious! I love the events they have here and the sense of camaraderie among the crowd. Fun place to stop after work or on a day off. Highly recommend! So glad I found it.

Yelp
I used to pick up my Smog City Coffee Porter at the Bevmo on PV drive since it's on my route home from work. But I figure I should go a little out of my way to ensure I'm paying the brewer directly. They typically have about a dozen or so different beers in the cooler, available in four pack cans or 500ml bottles for the rarer stuff. Probably 15-20 beers on tap, full pours, tasters, crowlers and growler fills. Always plenty of parking in the lot.

Yelp
My husband and I are big fans of the Mother Ship on Del Amo, so gave this new location a try on thursday night. Very very hard to find in the large strip mall. Very simple and sparse inside, but know it just opened. Cushions on the wall seating really uncomfortable. Overstuffed! Just get some big comfy pillows. I am a huge IPA fan, and no new IPAs on the board. Suggestion - bring a new beer that is exclusive to this location. Will keep going to the Mothership!

Nancy V.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend came to this Smog City in Torrance California because my boyfriend is a huge fan of Different beers and going to Adventurous breweries together. I might not like beer as much as him but I try them to make him happy. Coming here to Torrance was nice and it was busy but the staff was very friendly. And one employee remembered me from (my first visit in Long Beach Smog City ). I'm sad I never got her name. But I like her. That she remembers me. She made my day. But other then that. Everything was good and tasty. It sucks that they only had pizza to choose pizza as food item. But it's fine. I finally got my sabre Tooth Squirrel pin and Glass cup & my boyfriend got a shirt. We're all happy from our experience. Were definitely coming back.

Christina S.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest; I love that Smog City is expanding as I think they are one of the best breweries in the South Bay; but this isn't my favorite location. It's kind of small and doesn't have the same charm as the original location; that being said it's the same phenomenal beers and the bartender was amazing and it's cool to have more locations to drink delicious Smog City beer at! If you are in the neighborhood definitely stop in for some beers! If you are planning on visiting Cali from out of state make sure Smog City is on your list of places to check out; but go to the other location if you can't get them both in!

Jack W.

Yelp
Came in on around 1pm. They were just getting a new delivery of beers. They have a large variety of drafts and can pours. The beertender was very accommodating and knowledgeable.

Brock S.

Yelp
Good beers, but FYI the food trucks are only at the other location in Torrance. However, you can bring in or get food delivered.

Lily B.

Yelp
Love the space and the beer selection! Smog City is unrivaled. Came for trivia night and had a blast. Will definitely be the first of many. Shout out to Sam behind the bar! Super friendly and had great recommendations :) loved the rabbit eye saison.

Yelp
I'd read about the new Smog City location in the latest issue of Beer Paper the other day and knew I needed to check it out ASAP- I visited for the first time today and really liked it. I'm equidistant from OG Smog and Smog West, so no concern there, but I will say that I personally prefer this new location. They took over Zymurgy's space and did it up nicely. The tasting room (part bar/brewery vibe, part lounge vibe) is in a strip mall and it doesn't jump out at you, but if you can read signs, you'll see it- it's right across from Torrance Tavern. First impression was the ambiance was a little lacking but then after sitting and taking it in for a bit (and drinking a really tasty beer) it grew on me and you catch a faint waft of the wood they decorated the walls with, which I like. I also didn't mind that they had about 20 beers on tap, which were well-spread between fresh Pils and IPAs to their sexy and complex wild ales. My wife enjoyed 1+1=3, and for me Sour Hungarian stole the show- a wickedly successful blend of 70% Sour Brown & 30% Imperial Stout. I'll definitely be back soon, and good on you Smoggers for continuing to help make Torrance a force to be reckoned with in the craft beer community!

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Great taproom location! I'm a fan of their beers and this location delivers. Staff was awesome! Beers were great. Vibe was cool. They also had a bunch of beers that I haven't tried before. Great addition to the south torrance area!

Tom H.

Yelp
Although I didn't frequently visit Zymurgy much when they were open for business, when I did go they had some pretty great beer on tap that they brewed. Now that Smog has taken over the old location, they did pay a little homage to Zymurgy by leaving the old equipment up behind the bar which is a nice little touch. The thing I do love about this Smog location is they have a pair of TVs now which is what's missing from the OG location. This taproom is small, cozy and a nice addition to the West Side.

Harper M.

Yelp
So awesome that Smog City has a second location in Torrance. My favorite brewery now gives a choice close to home. Come on down and get the best gift west coast IPA around!

Roger A.

Yelp
My wife and I have gone there three times now. We normally bring something to eat with our beers. My wife loves a blonde beer, and she always gets #1 on the menu "Bo" and I like a wit or now your new lemon hazy IPA. The new design of the brewery is spectacular. The number one thing I like and notice is that the brewery had an instant dishwasher. If I was an inspector I would insist that all breweries have one. Also most beer drinkers enjoy drinking water in between beers, so I would like to see an unbreakable slice fruit ice water dispenser like most breweries provide. This is only a suggestion. Enjoy the grand opening today. We are sure that you will have a great turn out.

Gregg L.

Yelp
Good beer. Saber-toothed squirrel is a hoppy amber that is actually hoppy in smell and flavor. Much appreciated. Little bo pils decent. They allow dogs.

Corey M.

Yelp
Good barrel-aged and sour options, some not available at the primary location. Seating is much nicer than most local taprooms. Try the Boysenbenny if it's still available.

Cameron C.

Yelp
Helpful service. They were just about to close up for the day. It was about 1 minute to closing when i rolled up. Josh saw me pull up and took care of me. Now I get to enjoy some Infinite Wishes, Benny, and Quixote.

Elizabeth S.

Yelp
I love this beer but spent way, way too much time looking for this mysterious location. Does it even exist? And of course no phone number to call and ask.

Marc B.

Yelp
Been coming here to have a couple drinks at a relaxed taproom serving top quality beer. Game nights are great for a beer or two and the trivia nights are just as good!

Hannah B.

Yelp
Great quiet taproom which houses a lot of their one off experiments for sours and saisons. It was pretty easy to find, although an odd side and they were more than happy to accommodate our pupper and other pups. In general, it's a shorter list of brews than the del amo site but what they have is absolutely delicious and the quiet environment was a great compliment to their bustling main site.
