"Smoke Daddy is a very large, very bright BBQ spot that kind of feels like a chain restaurant, even though there’s only one other location (in Wicker Park). This one is on the same block as the Hotel Zachary, and has an upstairs patio along with enough TVs to make it basically qualify as a sports bar. Does it serve the best BBQ in the city? This cabin-themed pop-up has evergreen trees, icicle and snowflake decorations, and a bunch of TVs streaming fireplace videos. And as much as it gives The Christmas Cottage vibes (a riveting Hallmark special with a solid 27% score on RottenTomatoes), the setup is great for families, too. "Coming here is an excellent way to see some local talent while also getting your smoked meat fix. Smoke Daddy is a spacious BBQ restaurant in Wrigleyville (with another location in Wicker Park) that hosts live music. One night, there might be a solo guitarist, another night there might be a rock trio, and on one occasion, we even saw an electric cello set.
