Pretty Decent food. Have frequented here the past few years and everything was amazing when we first started eating here. Over the years the food has gradually declined. The brisket was dry and not as flavorful as before…. More reminiscent of burnt ends than brisket, the cornbread is grainy and mushy. As much as I love the yesteryears of Smoke Street…. This might be our last visit.

Google
We had a tasty lunch here today. Second time eating here and we’ll be back.

The Boss Hog Combo was phenomenal—bursting with flavor and an incredible steal for the price! My sides, the creamy mac and cheese topped with smoky brisket and the velvety mashed sweet potatoes, were pure perfection. If you enjoy eating outside, their sunny front patio is ideal for soaking up the vibes while you savor every bite. My visit was unforgettable, and I’m excited to come back for more!

Google
This is our favorite BBQ restaurant in the area and beyond. Today I tried Kathy's Coffee and it was amazing. We always love to get their Mess O'Fries as an appetizer. I have tried a lot of their food an it never disappoints. Today I had their Nashville Spicy Chicken Sandwich and it was HOT but still full of flavor. We also love their cornbread; It's traditional which we appreciate.

Google
Service and atmosphere of the restaurant were great. We were disappointed in the brisket being dry, sausage not really being seasoned, & surprisingly we weren’t fond of the corn bread (which never happens). Pulled pork, mac & cheese, and sauce selection were good though. We are hoping it was just not a good batch on a Sunday and will come on another day to try again.

We went to Smoke Street in Milford and had a most enjoyable meal! The service, atmosphere and food were all very good. The BBQ ribs and smoked brisket are especially tasty! Many thanks to the great Associates at Smoke Street - we'll be back soon!

Google
I've tried this restaurant several times now over several years time and have experienced consistent results. The atmosphere, service, and side dishes are excellent, yet the brisket is consistently dry, cold, and flavorless. The meat on the ribs is paper thin.

Google
I’ll start off by saying that I had a great experience at Smoke Street. The staff was really friendly and courteous. The food came at a decent speed and I enjoyed my food. I got the Fancy Cluck, was not disappointed. I feel like I should have tried their BBQ platters instead since that’s what they mainly specialize in. I’ll definitely be back to try more.

Yelp
Been a couple times with my wife now. Food is great. The sweet potato mash is basically a dessert! So good. All the meats that we have tried have been fantastic. I order chili at pretty much every sit down restaurant I go to & I think this might be my favorite. It's a little pricey but what isn't anymore? With tip, it's $75-$100 for my wife & I depending on if we get an app or any booze. Chairs aren't super comfortable to me but I am really big so I think that's just a me thing. Service has varied depending on time & busyness of course but it hasn't been detrimental to any visit thus far. Would definitely recommend. The mango bbq sauce on the table is nuts! It's great on everything.

Yelp
As appetizers we got their "cheesy bread" and "mess of fries" and as entrees " the boss hog combo" and the " southern fried chicken" with a side of sweet potato mash and killer mac and cheese. The Atmosphere was very rustic and country style, which I'm used to down home so it was very cozy for me. This place's kid friendly it seems like they are very kind to you when you come in they serve you it doesn't take very long. Their appetizers were very good, they're green beans with their food is awesome same with their sweet potatoes I wasn't personally a big fan of the fried chicken but they're brisket and pulled pork makes up for that along with the appetizers I would go here again I just wouldn't have gotten fried chicken

Yelp
After a day of exploring the shops near by. The wonderful smell of BBQ lured us in! We were immediately seated outside! Our server came by shortly after to start us off with waters! By the time she came back we were all ready to go with drinks and food! Most of us ordered the tall margaritas, so delicious and refreshing! As mentioned before, after some light shopping we worked up quite the appetite! My eyes were bigger than my stomach but I don't regret ordering the chicken and ribs combo! I've never enjoyed left overs, but this combo knocked it out of the park!! Ok let's talk about the most amazing, I don't even want to know how much butter is used, sweet mash!! I was in heaven at the first bite!! I can't wait to be back!! One thing I would absolutely LOVE to see added is a changing table in the men's restroom!! Would make #DadLife a lot easier if you didn't have to ask a female friend to change your baby!

Yelp
Nice menu. Moderate priced. Tried rice bowl with Tri-tip and a birria taco with Pepsi. Average entree is $17. Order was $32 in total (tri-tip rice bowl $18, Pepsi, and birria taco $6.50) cups Los tax and tip. Note: small restaurant with bar. About 6-8 indoor tables, has patio area. Indoor seating gets full by 5 PM - 5:30 PM.

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants in Milford! I come here every time I am in town! The food is incredible and the prices are very affordable, would check out if your nearby!

Yelp
We sat outside, which was great because there was a lot to watch between people and cars. We had great service, the food was phenomenal, would definitely come back!

Yelp
My wife and I and another couple recently visited Smoke Street BBQ, a spot we've enjoyed before, and it lived up to my high hopes once again. We were seated immediately upon arrival and our server greeted us without delay. The BBQ was excellent across the board. I went for the "Boss Hog" platter, featuring brisket, sausage, and pulled pork. The brisket struck a perfect balance of firmness and moisture, the pulled pork was smoky and succulent, and the sausage was very flavorful. I paired it with the pickled vegetable side, which brought a subtle kick, and the slaw, which mellowed it out--both were delicious. My wife opted for the fried chicken, while our friends chose ribs, shrimp, and smoked chicken. Aside from my wife, who couldn't quite finish her generous portion, everyone else polished off their plates--no takeout boxes required. The place was spotless, with a fun BBQ vibe and plenty of themed signs to set the mood.

Yelp
We came here during the Milford Memories festival. We thought we'd have to wait a long time (we saw a sign saying there was a 90 minute wait, and there was a woman making a waiting list), but much to our surprise, we were seated inside right away -- albeit at a high top table, which I can't usually sit at because I'm very short & have trouble climbing onto the chairs. But, these chairs were a little lower than most others, so I tried it & was (eventually) able to get on it. The service was very good, and the server was very friendly -- which was pretty impressive, considering it was during the fair. We were very impressed by the menu -- lots of creative barbecued items as well as sandwiches, salads, pizza, etc. My sister had the Luckenbach Texas sandwich. It was a big sandwich with a LOT of perfectly well done fries. I got the cowboy sundae. (Which, to my disappointment, did not come in a sundae glass. Lol.) This was a piece of delicious cornbread covered with brisket, pulled pork, cole slaw, and baked beans were in there some place. It didn't look so big on the plate, but I could only eat half of it -- and I enjoyed every bite! I also liked that their iced tea was very fresh, although I would have preferred if it had been served in reusable glasses instead of plastic cups. But I was given a choice of coated cardboard or plastic for my leftovers, so I took the cardboard. We noticed from the bags that this restaurant is part of the chain that owns Tomato Brothers, Highland House, Gus' Take Out, and E.G. Nick's. I would definitely go back to this restaurant the next time I'm in Milford & want barbecue!

Yelp
Me and my husband come here a lot the food is great and the vibes are amazing we've been here on many dates throughout the years and it's still in our top 5! Never once have we had bad service here everyone is super friendly!

Dave N.

Yelp
Haven't been to Smoke Street in awhile so I thought I'd stop in. The staff was great and I was seated promptly. The atmosphere was great but a little disappointed in the food. I had the spicy sausage which was fantastic but the smoked chicken wings were not that good, they tasted a little freezer burned. I put a little extra mango chipotle on them and it made them better.

Emilio C.

Yelp
The manager Jackie was very rude to me for talking to my family member, she had a passive aggressive attitude and when I asked her for a table she said "you should've done it while here" after I had asked for a table as she walked away. Throughout the night going to the bathroom she has been giving me dirty looks and has been very nasty to me. It is not the restaurant just poor management status on her part.

Yelp
Bland food, bad service & it's a dive. Zero points for ambiance. I would give it a one but the Fries are great! Hot crispy and a lot of them. Skip the food and just order fries!!!
google avatar

Elisa R.

Yelp
Great Salad. Great portion. Fast service. Came here with a group of coworkers during lunch and we were all served fairly quickly. I always enjoy getting the BBQ Chicken Salad because the chicken is flavorful, the crispy strips are delicious, and overall the portion is good! Was not too impressed by the cornbread as it was fairly hard, but the taste was good!
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
We've been here dozens of times and up until the last time it has been consistently good. However, this last time we went to Smoke Street it was decidedly "mid." The food was cold, the cornbread tasted old, the portions were about half the size of what we were used to, and the smoked meats were all greasy and fattier than usual. Hope this isn't their new normal.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
Great bbq food! Friendly and attentive staff. Definitely recommend trying when in the area. 10/10.

Chris S.

Yelp
pulled chicken sandwich dry, cold bun nothing on it! sides collard greens tasteless and watery. Green beans mushy no taste! French fries soggy made couple days ago ! Horrible won't go back !

Tammy M.

Yelp
Smoke Strees has excellent food, drinks and service. We have always enjoyed dining out here but recently we used smoke Street to cater two different parties we hosted. The food was excellent and our guests loved it. Everything was ready when promised and was exactly as requested. The manager (Hayley) was fantastic to work with. She definitely knows her stuff and is so personable. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that I am not really a big fan of BBQ... came here for dinner with some work collages and figured I would just find something... Upon walking in the restaurant had a great vibe... super casual and fun. We started with a few apps to share (which were great!) we got the nachos, cheesy bread and tacos... all yummy! I ordered the BBQ chicken salad (a recommendation from our server) and it was amazing! I especially loved that the meat was not swimming in sauce.... It was smoked to perfection and there were all kinds of sauces on the table. Some other entrees ordered were the ribs, tacos, brisket... everyone loved it... next time i am in Detroit I will stop in for sure Oh wait, forgot to mention the beer... yea great beer, craft and domestic! Serviced icy cold and went down like water! If you're in Novi, MI go check this place out!

Yelp
This is a solid barbecue joint; they have good food, goods service and it's reasonably priced. I got their full rack of ribs that comes with 2 sides and cornbread for 30$. I really liked their Mac and cheese- the bacon Panko topping was a nice touch. The ribs were pretty good, although maybe a little overdone. The cornbread was different- was a little tougher than expected but still tasty. They had a wide variety of barbecue sauces- I stuck with the Memphis sauce which is more of a standard bbq sauce.

Yelp
I'm not surprised that we had a positive experience with this one given that it's one of the restaurants also owned by the proprietors of the Highland House, which I have reviewed and where we eat often. I had a bowl of gumbo and it was very good, followed by the shrimp po' boy, which was stuffed with shrimp, lettuce and tomato along with their poblano roumelade, which gives it a little kick, but not too much. Delicious. I substituted Mac and cheese for the fries for a $1 upcharge and it was a good move. Not too dry, not swimming in sauce. Nice balanced flavor with a few breadcrumbs on top. I took home half of my sandwich because the huge bowl of gumbo was pretty filling. My wife, who hails from the south and is used to good barbecue, had the pulled pork, which she deemed very good, as close to what she'd get homemade back home as could be found in the north. Her sides were baked beans, also delicious, not too much sauce, perfect consistency and flavor, along with collard greens, which were as good as my mother in law's,, which is saying a lot. . She couldn't finish her dinner, and I had the two sides the next day. The beans in particular were great and I'll get them next time. I didn't get a chance to try the cornbread as my wife left not even a crumb. It looked good! Service was outstanding. Attentive but not intrusive. Our waiter was very polite and accommodating, and our water glasses were kept filled. We appreciated that. It wasn't as noisy as I expected for a downtown crowded restaurant, with old fashioned decor on the walls and lots and lots of dark wood. Very cozy. We'll be back for sure.

Yelp
even though i really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant, i was not super impressed. the fries were very unsatisfying and the food was pretty basic. nothing to write home about. i did like the dark lighting and the manager was friendly. some of the other staff seemed a bit clueless though. i will give super props to their homemade cornbread though! i would definitely go back just for that!

Jeff R.

Yelp
I had a daily special, pork rib meat sandwich. It was a side sandwich of pulled pork on white bread and a plate full of mediocre fries. Also it appears the place hasn't been cleaned forever you stick to the chairs the table anything you touch.
google avatar

Riyanka R.

Yelp
Not the best service. My husband asked for his burger to be dressed and for chili cheese fries and didn't get either. The chicken on my salad was dry. The food is pricy for what you get. Ambience was good - there was an option to eat outside.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent place to hang out. Windows flip open and make the place great environment. The food is fun BBQ, sauces are solid, with amazing cornbread!!!'n

Yelp
great food and customer service. my new bbq spot. Brian, one of the cooks was my Uber passenger and highly recommended it, yummy.

Yelp
Great food and finally found a place where the brisket isn't dry as the desert and crunchy. While it was such and juicy, it's was a tad too cold by the time it was served.

Denise R.

Yelp
From the moment you walk through the door you know this is BBQ. Simply delicious! A community favorite.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a few times and each time the service is great. This time I ordered a pepperoni pizza with the pepperoni under the cheese which was amazing.
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
Have always enjoyed swinging by here for dinner and drinks, but was bummed with my most recent visit to see the significant price increase on everything. (Pulled pork used to be a 14.99 dish and is now 18.99). I know prices have increased overall on pretty much everything, but these increases felt very steep. Updated picture of menu since past ones are no longer accurate. Food and drinks are still enjoyable though!!

Doug G.

Yelp
Nice place, right in charming downtown Milford. Good reviews brought me here for good barbeque. I wanted a brisket sandwich, but theirs came with bacon and melted cheese! It took me a while with the busy bartender waitress to order just a brisket sandwich. And it was just okay, a little dry. The fries were delicious!
google avatar

Katelynn D.

Yelp
Their "Mess O' Fries" is sooo good! They use shredded cheese instead of liquid cheese, with brisket and bacon, topped with fresh scallions. It's pretty large, so bring friends to share. The waiters/waitresses are always very attentive and kind. Our food is always served in a timely manner and is delicious. The "Luckenbach Texas" sandwich is my main go to with brisket, bacon, pickles, and cheese, cooked to perfection

Vale S.

Yelp
Unfortunately this is another unflattering review. I guess I AM a picky eater. We ordered chicken fingers, the killer Mac n cheese and the apple salad that has poppyseed dressing , crasins and grilled chicken on top. Service was very slow and we were there two hours before close. It took forever to have someone come over. It couldn't have been because of the two kids. There were other families in the restaurant. My Arnold Palmer had ice and was very watery even though I said heavy lemonade and NO ICE. The killer Mac had no bacon and the chicken on my salad was very dry. I'll try it one more time before I give it the axe.

L M.

Yelp
Smokstreet is fantastic. The food is always great and the menu is solid. The atmosphere is also a great part of the experience. Everytime we have visited - including last night - ALL of the staff is super positive and friendly!! We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and we are never disappointed in any way. Smokestreet is high quality, great food, and fantastic service in a nice town.... can't beat that!!!!

Yelp
Came to visit friends in Michigan and this place was new since we lived here! Holy moly it didn't disappoint! We started with some wings! I got the chicken apple salad and it was delicious! So wasn't the corn bread side! I couldn't reccomend this place enough!

Michelle H.

Yelp
I absolutely loved this food! Everyone in my family ordered something different and each dish was fantastic! When we went the waiter we had accidentally forgot to put our order in but he and the manager definitely made up for it by the end of our dinner. It definitely helped that when the food did come out it was amazing. Overall, The ambiance and food were amazing and I can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Jeff And Bernadette K.

Yelp
The service was excellent. We had a very attentive server and they sat us at one of the quieter tables knowing we were there to talk with friends. We had ribs that were delicious, one of the signature sandwiches which was also very tasty. My friend and I split the bbq chicken and were very satisfied with the dinner as well as the price. The ambiance was well suited for almost any occasion.

Yelp
The best fatty brisket I've ever had. I don't like the tougher lean cut. My wife try's everything else. Always real good. Great service too. Never had a problem.

Yelp
I am always on the lookout for good barbecue so when I learned of this place (thanks, Yelp!) I had to try. I'm rarely in Milford (my friends tend to choose places closer to me) so this was an opportunity to see their neck of the woods. A 27-minute drive in smooth traffic and I was in picturesque downtown Milford. How cute! The menu features mainstays in barbecue: ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken. And they came as platters and in sandwich formats. Fried chicken, pizza, and seafood are also available, as well as daily specials. I typically have brisket but today went with the ribs and chicken combo for a change of pace. The half chicken was nice and tender. The half-slab of ribs had a thick bark. There are six barbecue sauces, mustard, hot, and several sweet/tangy - so enough for all tastes. I sampled three: Mango Chipotle (sweet), Memphis (sweet tomato), and Street Sauce (spicy tomato), preferring the first for the chicken. The meal included a hunk of sweet cornbread and my choice of sides. The list was extensive and it was indeed difficult to narrow the list down to two. I selected the slaw and Mexican corn on the cob. I loved the corn and thought that the slaw was okay; I learned that the mac and cheese was spectacular - so I might be making another trip here soon. Hmmm...fried chicken or brisket, next time around? For dessert, I had a few bites of the layer chocolate cake. The dense cake featured a tempting chocolate frosting. Service was friendly and professional. Both the server and busser were efficient. The owner/manager was welcoming and ensured that we were having a great time.

Yelp
Dined in yesterday for the first time since the pandemic and i thought they did a great job! The tables were spaced out, garage door was open to get fresh air in and the service was great! They removed the bbq sauces from the table and bring them out in 2oz cups now. Safe and smart but for first timers like us it was a bummer because you only get two choices per meal. We had the pulled pork nachos for the table and I got the hog boss combo with mac and cheese and sweet potato mash as my two sides. I didn't care for the brisket that came with the meats but everything else was really good! THE CORNBREAD WAS OUTSTANDING!!! My boyfriend got the fried chicken dinner with baked beans mac as his sides and really enjoyed it. All other dinning companions enjoyed their meals too! Overall a cute little spot- id come back again!

Yelp
Great tastes. Variety, service! Cost is a little high for servings. Have Great catering options.

Yelp
4/2021- amazing food! One of my favorite places in Milford, MI. There was a short waiting line, but the staff was on point, the food was delicious and the drinks were cold! Have patience for the new hires, they're doing their best.

John C.

Yelp
Well...it was one of those days when Smoke Street brisket is awful...and in this case downright awful...no taste, no flavor other than beef broth, and it was tough...I will no longer spend my money at this restaurant...I spent $45 with takeout tip for a pound of brisket & an order of hot links that I would hesitate to feed to my dog...stay away and spend your money elsewhere in Milford...Charlie's on Main puts out quality food...Smoke Street puts out a suboptimal product time after time...STAY AWAY

Tom M.

Yelp
I love me some Smokestreet! They got it all, drinks, amazing food, fast service (is there anything else you could want?). It's always a good time at Smokestreet! And a special shout-out to Sarah who helped me out when my quesadilla was too spicy for my tummy. She got me another one! What service!

Yelp
Good food and service as well as great BBQ. Always busy but good service too. Lots of beer on tap too.

Yelp
I had an astonishing time here with my family. We were visiting the area and a local friend recommended Smoke Street. We were seated promptly and our server Kelly came to us with no delay. She was extremely kind and quick to listen to our many requests. Food came out hot and tasty. But the best part of my experience was Kelly's service, way to go! Will be back soon!

Yelp
Smoke Street in downtown Milford is a gem! It's clean and rustic. The food is delicious and consistent. The staff is fun and always friendly. If you only try one restaurant in Milford, I highly recommend Smoke Street.

Yelp
After working in Milford for a couple of years, I'd say I've been to most restaurants in/near the city, and Smoke Street BBQ is one of my favorites. Though Milford isn't a large town, it still offers a restaurant for every palate, so finding a restaurant that makes you keep wanting to come back is a pretty big deal! Even bigger than that is finding a restaurant that your coworkers also want to keep coming back to! Smoke Street has options for almost everyone, and it's easy to accommodate people with various diets at the restaurant. The menu is pretty diverse, but the food itself is solid all around. I'd say it's one of the best BBQ places I've been to in Michigan, and I haven't had anyone give a bad review of the taste, even with the picky eaters I know! Having been to the restaurant 5-10 times, if you're a first timer, I'd definitely recommend the Boss Hog Combo. It's a ton of food, but you can easily get two meals out of it! Smoke Street also has a selection of 6 unique sauces to sample. Everyone has their own favorites, but I'd say there's merit to all of them for different things. The downside of the restaurant being one of the more popular ones in Milford is that it's never really empty, and will get super packed at peak times (Friday lunch especially). As a result, if you get stuck in the restaurant around these times, your 1 hour lunch can easily become a 2 hour lunch. If you can accommodate for this or stop by at non-peak times, you're sure to have a great meal! Be sure to take advantage of the parking lot out back behind the restaurant. There's an entrance in the back, and you'll avoid having to pay as you would for the street parking out front. Overall, Smoke Street is a great option if you're looking for a good overall restaurant in Milford! ** Keto / Low Carb Folks: just as I recommended for the general crowd, go for the Boss Hog Combo! I've eaten at the restaurant pre-keto and while keto and always had great success with it. The main difference post-keto is that I get 2 orders of Collard Greens for my sides with the Boss Hog Combo. Be careful with the sauces, but you'll probably be able to quickly tell which ones are keto friendly and which are not. The servers will also be able to tell you which ones are sweet and which are not, if you don't feel like experimenting.

Yelp
Second try at this place, this time carry out. I'm a Kansas City Barbecue cultist so my standards for good cue are high. This night I ordered chopped brisket and a half slab of ribs. Sides were cole slaw and greens. The ribs were dry, though tender, but lacked any smoke flavor. They were salty. The chopped brisket was in cubes swimming in sweet sauce. They were tender but likewise missing smoke. The best part of the meal was the sides, especially the greens which were flavored with fat back. The cheerful staff was also attentive snd earned my tip on a carryout. This was an impulse buy and I had forgotten my first experience herd or I would have passed. I just received the Christmas mail order catalog for Fiorella's Jack Stack. I think Im going to order some burnt ends snd cheesy corn.

Yelp
Ordered a take out a few weeks ago. I ordered brisket and ribs. Amazing. I drove 40 mins and it was worth it. Hard to find great bbq in the West Bloomfield /Bloomfield area.
