Smoke Tree BBQ - Palm Springs, CA

First time here after reading some great reviews. Venue is great, the smoker is right on the patio so you get the occasional waft of sweet smokey bbq. Felt pretty authentic. Meat - was juicy and very tender. A fairly light smoke and could be eaten pleasurably without the need for sauce. Ribs were fall apart, brisket was juicy and just the right amount of fat. Service - despite other negative reviews we found the service to be perfectly attentive and friendly. No problems there. Overall: Brilliant! Best Q we’ve had in the valley.

I had high hopes for a nice bbq dinner. It’s was very disappointing!! The $30 full rack of ribs was over-cooked dry & bland. Ordered the $15 half chicken plate, upon pick up I was informed they “were out of the 1/2 chickens”They replaced it with 2 Thighs. Both were raw on the inside (see pics). Mac & cheese was very dry. You know when you leave Mac & Cheese out over night? Well that’s how it tasted here. Dry, hard & bland. Even the cold slaw was bland! I know many businesses are having a hard time but $15. for 2 pieces of raw chicken….come on!

Place was not what I expected. Nothing like what the pictures show online. The meat was good but the portions were tiny and served up like I was back in kindergarten. The price did not match the portion size that I expected. The plates were $22 and for 1 miserable extra sausage it was an additional $6. Service was terrible, the young lady wasn’t so bad but the boys working had no manners what so ever, water was being served out of open jugs sitting by the door way with no lids and the ice was sitting outside too in an open container. I received no refills on my soda the entire time I was there. The place was dark and dingy and is not the place they advertise online. First and last time I will visit here.

The sides average were average tasting,especially when you can cook yourself but everything else was fine. Great customer service. Clean location

The service and environment were nice, but I didn’t think the BBQ was that great. The brisket was on the dry side and didn’t have a good bark. On the positive side, I did enjoy the potato salad and there are several different BBQ sauces that were really good.

The brisket was dry and covered in a huge layer of fat making it inedible. The sides of mac n cheese and bbq beans were good, but SO tiny. The sweet potato fries and corn bread were decent. Sauces were fine too. Definitely paid too much for a subpar meal. Ordered as take away.

Hands down the best BBQ I have ever eaten. Our waiters were great and the BBQ sauces were phenomenal. Cannot recommend highly enough. A true gem!

Love the brisket and chicken here. Sauces are delicious, as well. Potato salad and baked beans top it off to perfection
