They sell disposable products that don't work, and when you ask for a refund or exchange, they will offer only a 20% discount on the next product and hope it works.
Edit* charger did not work how can I test the pen to charge if I don't have access to that in the store?
Defective Product and Unacceptable Resolution
I recently purchased a vape pen from Smoky Jones in Tampa. After using it for only a minute, it stopped working and would not charge, despite trying multiple chargers. I brought the defective product back to the store, and after their own testing confirmed it wouldn't charge, they only offered a meager 20% discount on a new one.
This is completely unacceptable and falls far short of reasonable consumer expectations for a functional product. Selling a defective item and then refusing a full refund or a direct exchange for a working product is, in my opinion, a deceptive business practice.
Be advised, if I do not receive a full replacement for this defective vape pen, I will be pursuing all available legal remedies, including filing a complaint under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act. Consumers have rights, and I expect Smoky Jones to honor them.
