The 10 Best Things To Eat At Truist Park - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"We admit if it wasn’t for our cheesy need for a game souvenir, we’d probably overlook the baseball helmet nacho bowl—especially since this stall usually has a wait. And we will wait everytime. Yes, they're pretty standard concession stand-quality tortilla chips drenched in an ordinary queso. But the flavors really burst with a sweet, shredded barbecue brisket and drizzles of crema and a tangy red sauce." - juli horsford, nina reeder, jacinta howard

This restaurant was quite different on this visit from past visits. The food is still excellent and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the atmosphere is much less cozy and inviting than on past visits. The restaurant seems more geared to take-out.

After a day of hiking in Linville Gorge Wilderness trails we found Smokey Que's on our way back to Ashville and it really hit the spot. We absolutely over ordered and ended up with to go boxes from huge portions of shredded brisket, shredded smoked chicken thighs, pulled pork, pork ribs, and fried fish. Everything was awesome including the sides. Hush puppies were really tastee and we had one that looked like Alf (the TV show from the 80's). I would definitely eat here again.

Our family of 10 had the BEST experience! We sat out on the patio and had a wonderful server that did us right! Food was soooo good and everything came out fast and hot. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful small-town BBQ joint with amazing food! Ribs were falling off the bone and we ate them with a fork. Pulled pork and BBQ chicken were moist and flavorful. Kids meals are quite large and filled them up with leftovers to take home. Staff is super friendly and took great care of us. Don't miss this little gem of a restaurant.

Stopped here on our way back from the falls. The chicken wings were fantastic, BIG, juicy and sauced well! My 10 year old ordered the kids rib plate and it was a huge portion! The salad bar had a lot of variety (peas, hard boiled eggs, beets, baby corn, imitation crab, black olives, ham, cheeses, pickles, etc) but the plate size is small. The BBQ sauce (Lexington sauce) is now my new favorite, not too spicy (I like heat) but a nice flavor. The collard greens were bland and the corn nuggets (deep fried cream of sweet corn) were great! Sweet is sweet and hospitality was wonderful! I even ordered an extra pint of sauce to go! Glad we stopped by, it's a good price and you get a lot of food, you won't leave hungry!

Looked up reviews before our mountain trip and found this gem. Stopped for lunch before we headed up the mountain. First, it was close to opening, and seating was easy. The service was great. Our waitress was on point and provided great service. At one point, she had a large table outside, and I assume it was the owner who came by and checked on us. The decor outside and in was great and spelled BBQ. My son loved the salad bar! I can admit, this was the freshest, best tasting fried Okra I've ever had. Wow. Only negative, and this is because NC is a battle. I'm an Eastern NC guy, and no sauce at the table was hot enough or had enough vinegar for me. Take that as you want, but you can't take this place off your list. Great smokey flavor and awesome atmosphere. Well done!

I wish I could give 10 stars. I stopped here on way through. Looked up on google and got great reviews. Thought I would give it a try. I had the platter, bbq beans, and greens. The food is amazing! I can’t stress it enough. The pulled pork, not too bold, still has flavor. Truly amazing. The rest was also amazing. Some of the best colored greens I’ve had in a very long time. The bbq beans wasn’t over whelming . The owner, Caleb is really cool! He took time and explained the process and how he did the smoke and what was used. Thanks Caleb for taking the time with us. Totally recommend eating here. If I’m ever back in the area, I will gladly stop in again..

Food was wonderful. Service was great. For starters, they have hush puppies on the table while you wait for your food. The portions for my BBQ sandwich and my loaded Baked potato was worth it. My husband got Just BBQ, Baked beans and slaw and it was $3 more than mine and less portions. Loved the BBQ in the beans and the slaw tastes homemade and BBQ was great. They also have outdoor seating with ceiling fans, great for beautiful weather. We will be coming back.
