Everything about this place is amazing! Friendly service and amazing pizzas. The topping are really high quality and the crust is beautiful. I love the Caesar salad too. Absolutely go right now. Edit: this place is consistent and absolutely my favorite place in the area still. We have been here dozens of times and never once had a bad experience. GO TODAY!

Tried this place on lunch one day with a coworker and now we come almost once a week! The pizza fresh is AMAZING and presentation is always phenomenal. The staff is always friendly and will literally remake pizza if it’s not to their standards. The twists on their pizzas are amazing as well. Things that I would never think of to put on a pizza compliment them great. The Buffalo is now my go- to and don’t get me started on the urban legend. The marina sauce is to die for. Everything is always clean and they are so personal with the guests. 10/10 recommend! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Smokin’ Oak Wood-Fired Pizza is Austin’s newest pizza spot specializing in aged oak wood-fired pizza, sandwiches, and dessert with a self-serve taproom that serves 20 local beers, wine, and cider. I got a few things here such as their: - Buffalo Chicken Pizza ($11.95): interesting because it has a drizzle of raspberry sauce to give the creamy, spicy flavors a kick of sweetness to it - 3.25/5 - Porky Pine ($11.95): a classic with Canadian bacon and fresh pineapple, so the juices aren’t seeping through the cheese which was nice! - 3.5/5 - Stuffed Cheese Bread ($9.55): prob my favorite thing here because you just can’t ever go wrong with cheese bread - 4/5 - Chicken Bacon Ranch Wood-Fired Sandwich ($11.95): this is an interesting one because they use the same bread as the pizza dough, so you have that fun texture on the outside - 3.5/5 - Wood-Fired Apple Pie ($6.95): their signature dough stuffed with cinnamon glazed apples and topped with a creamy cinnamon glaze. Pretty generous portion that’s easy to share! - 3.25/5 Overall, what I liked most here was the usage of pizza dough throughout their various items as well as how they use oak because that smell/flavor is a personal fav of mine that gives an extra kick of smokey flavor. Although I did desire more out of the flavors on each item, the prices are on the lower end which is great. Overall, this was a good spot to visit and I would give ‘em a 3.5/5.

Love at first sight with this place. Wood-fire pizzas and desserts, and a very cool tap beer bar! You get a bracelet to activate the siphons and you pay for ounce so it is a great opportunity to explore for a great prize… and they have happy hour😃 Pizza is great and the apple pie is great too!! (big enough for sharing up to 6 people😅) It would be interesting to have pairing recommendations to get the most of the experience. You must visit!

Google
Great atmosphere and the smell of the hand tossed pizza dough cooking in the wood fired oven as you walk in got me excited to look at the pizza options. Local beer, ciders, and wine that you pour yourself at the tap wall and pay by the ounce. Great place to watch a game and not worry about waiting for a drink.

Google
Excellent food and service. The Buffalo chicken and Margherita pizza are on point. Self serve beer wall is awesome. Tried a tall glass and a flight. Definitely recommend stopping by and sending your taste buds on a journey 😋.

Google
Loved loved loved their garden veggie pizza. Perfect ratio of veggies, cheese and crust. The ingredients tasted fresh and their dough is vegetarian friendly as they said that they don’t put egg when I asked them. Comes in personal size only. I highly recommend this pizza. One of the best I have eaten.

Google
The pizza was excellent and the service was, too. I had the buffalo chicken pizza. The ingredients used were very fresh and delicious. The wood fired oven crisped up the crust very nicely. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Gerardo D.

Yelp
Great addition to the area. Pizzas are individual size, with custom ingredients, similar to Mod. The dough is not as crispy and they are more rationed with the quantity of the ingredients, but everything tastes fresh and delicious. The dough is made every day, thr pizza is wood fired, the tomato sauce is excellent. They offer a variety of beers by the ounce, self-service, and they make it easy to get your own flight of beers. Great beer and great pizza. Recommended!

Korey A.

Yelp
Pizza is really good! I love the crust on their pizza. Crispy without being paper thin. The kids even approved of their pizza as well and they are tough critics. We ordered some cinnamon knots for dessert and they were Happy hour is 25% off all their drinks Monday to Wednesday (but that may change in the future so keep an eye on their website). I love the pour what you want concept. You can just try a little bit before committing to an entire glass. Their beer prices are reasonable as well.

Alisha A.

Yelp
A must try! Super friendly service with fresh delicious food. Lots of seating. Had the Smokey Dokey The Urban Legend Blue cheese salad Kids pepperoni pizza The dough is the right amount of crispy The tomato sauce is on point All was perfect!!!!!!!!!!

Crystal L.

Yelp
We had a great meal at Smokin Oak to nom on their grand opening day of pizzas and sips! The pizza selection for toppings is super duper delicious and I really recommend the Applewood! We also snagged the jalapeño cheese bread and hubs got the veggie pizza, yay! Their beer selection on tap is pretty robust as they work out the kinks of getting their place up and running but the folks are friendly and you'll be pleased with a tasty pizza! Parking was not difficult at all, and they are very informative of dietary restrictions if you have any accommodations for request.

Anastasia M.

Yelp
Finally got the chance to stop in here. Great atmosphere, warm welcome and delicious food. We tried the garlic cheese bread and the stuffed cheese bread. Both great but I preferred the garlic cheese bread. Pizza is delicious and one pie will feed 1-2. Others in my party had the apple pie and cinnamon twist. Smelled and looked delicious. The beer! You get to be your own bartender and the selection is awesome. Beers, wine, and cider.

Clint M.

Yelp
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. You can see the pizza oven with the fire when ordering your pizza. All pizzas are $12.95 and they're about the size of a dinner plate. They tasted very good, but was a little pricey I feel. If you like to drink Beer, they have a tap room in the back.

Yelp
Love this spot! My hubby and I have been checking in here a-lot lately. Grab a beer from the beer wall, a salad and breadsticks to split and we are happy campers. The breadsticks are amazing!! Highly recommend!!

Julie D.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed two complimentary signature pizzas at Smokin' Oaks on opening day! The restaurant has an industrial look and feel. The pizza crust is thin and crispy--cooked in a wood burning oven. There are taps of various beers located along the back wall as well as a wine and cider option. I ordered the Greek pizza which was moist and flavorful, while my husband ordered the Italian Stallion that was too dry. Both pizzas were good and we are eager to try other pizza combinations on the menu.

Maureena T.

Yelp
Outstanding! Great atmosphere, smells awesome when you walk in, and the owner is welcoming, friendly and clearly cares about cultivating an excellent customer experience. As for the pizza (I ordered a build-your-own BBQ pizza on cauliflower crust with corn, red onion, mushroom and spinach, plus ranch on the side): DELICIOUS. I inhaled it, with no regrets. Wonderful crust, perfect balance of toppings. Excited to have this new restaurant in the neighborhood!

Yelp
It's our first time here. The guy who took our order was Super Friendly! The pizza was delicious. We had the meat pi. Very tasty.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place since it's close by, but it's honestly just OK. Kid friendly places that you can drink are always a plus, but 'm very surprised by some of these 5* reviews I like wood fired pizza, but the ones we had were just okay. The pies are pretty small, but they aren't that expensive, so it's a bit of a wash. Don't go into it expecting anything resembling a Neapolitan pie. Margherita wasn't really a margherita, it's basically just a cheese pizza. Unsure of it was just a mistake, but m didn't have fresh basil on it. Classic was largely forgettable as well. Not sure if they forgot some of the toppings or they were so uneven that my slices didn't have some items on it, but I tasted no red onion and the toppings seemed to be buried under the cheese. TBH, the kids sausage pizza was probably the most appealing of the bunch. The main kicker is the charge by the pour drink system. It's a neat concept seen at a few other places in town, but the taps don't appear to be adjusted properly. Example, I poured around 3oz into a half pint glass, and foam overflowed my cup almost immediately. Maybe it's user error, but I've never had that problem elsewhere. It's ends up being horrifically expensive. I don't know about you, but I don't think the novelty of their system outweighs paying well over $10/pint for beers that are readily available around town, especially when around half of it didn't make it into my cup. Most of the selections are readily available elsewhere in town. For reference, 2 pizzas, 2 kids pizzas, and roughly 2.75 beers/ciders ended up being over $70 after tip and that's with heavily discounted food. I tipped well knowing that I wasn't paying full price, but I probably wouldn't go back without a promo and I would skip the beers next time.

Bill V.

Yelp
Pretty middle of the road pizza joint with self serve beers in tap. If you like the self serve tap concept, there is a better option down the road in River Place. If you like pizza, there are better options in Austin area.

Jim F.

Yelp
This place has fabulous pizzas but let's be real about the cost! $18 for a 4-topping 10" pie is just robbery, plain and simple. The ingredients alone may run you a couple bucks, the guy cooking it - a couple bucks. How does that add up to $18???? Great salad, but again a box of a few pieces of lettuce for $11 that's barely enough to serve two people?? Doesn't add up to me. Didn't experience the service at the location so I can't comment on that, but the "service" fee of $12 to bring it to my door - WOW...

Johnnie I.

Yelp
Went today for the first time. Awesome brick fired pizza, definitely going again,Great staff , and great pizza

Erik T.

Yelp
Went here for the 1st time tonight. We did not even know this was there and if it was not for our daughter's school arranging a fund raising spirit night here, we may not have found it for a while. So to start, customer service was excellent, the place is clean (especially the bathrooms which is a big one for me!) and our order was taken right away. Our daughter, who is a very picky eater, had the kid's cheese pizza. To my surprise, she ate the entire pizza which is not normal as she is so petite. Her exact comment was it was the best cheese pizza she has ever ate. My wife had the Italian Stallion and had not complaints. She really enjoyed the thin crust y'all have too. I got my usual personal build your own and it was fantastic! Alfredo sauce, sausage, bacon, jalapenos, mushrooms and fresh garlic. Left with two pieces only because I also ate half of the cheesy garlic bread (also very good) and one slice of my wife's to try it! Good job, glad we now know about you. We will be back without a doubt!!!!

FoodieJulie S.

Yelp
Great build your own pizza and must try their apple pie pizza! Google and Apple map will take you to the movie theatre but the restaurant is near Whataburger.

Savanna D.

Yelp
Great pizza restaurant but excuse me why are you guys temporarily closed?? I live across the street and I have been craving to come here but it's been 'temporarily closed' for too long now.

Rozele L.

Yelp
I had eaten here when they first opened, I had the Italian pizza it was very good you will have your choice of regular or cauliflower crust baked to perfection, they also have a Tap Wall there are about 21 different beers you can choose from while enjoying your pizza. The staff were super friendly and the establishment is clean

Tyler T.

Yelp
If you live in the Four Points area you know there's not a lot of great options to eat. I'm very excited Smokin' Oak opened up! This place is awesome! It's not expensive but the quality is great... it's an excellent addition to the area. The pizza was excellent, great crust and a sauce that tastes homemade. We had the Hawaiian and loved the fresh pineapple on it, and also had the bbq chicken and didn't leave any leftovers. We also ordered the garlic cheese bread for a starter and loved it! The other cool thing about this place is you can order beer, wine, and cider by the ounce... just tap the rfid wristband they give you and it adds it to your tab. Perfect if you want to try a variety of drinks! Highly recommend!

Morgan S.

Yelp
Alfredo-licious pizza for the win!!! The Alfredo pizza at Smokin' Oak has all of the flavor other pizza places are lacking. 10/10 chef's kiss, I will be ordering it again later this week no question. We inhaled the apple pie desert and found ourselves fighting for the last piece. And the red wine on the tap wall...perfect red. Smooth and silky and a perfect amount of dry. Totally recommend this place for anyone looking to get their pizza, wine, and dessert fill. I don't drink beer but everyone in my group does and they couldn't stop going back to the tap wall and raving about the selection.

Robbie A.

Yelp
Decent pizza, not the best but I finished it. The sauce was a bit tangy for my taste and while the crust was crispy when it first came out, the center got soggy fairly quickly. The dough was a bit lacking, it didn't have a ton of flavor. The drink system was a bit complicated and the cashier said he didn't know if they had enough bracelets so we grabbed bottled beer anyway. Really great friendly staff was a plus. But the space was really loud - it felt like voices were echoing off the walls. Also the lights felt like spotlights on some tables. Those could be dimmed a bit, turned away or diffused. With the noise and the lights it was somewhat of a sensory overload. I would have left a comment on their feedback system at the restaurant but it asked for an email address to progress so nah, yelp it is.

Naomi D.

Yelp
Pizza is definitely good. Different varieties to build your own. atmosphere is good and the staff there were knowledgeable. The Manager was very informative as he explained about the tap wall, fresh ingredients and even to go is better to come in and order than phone it in, the wait on pizza was about 7 minutes; while we waited we tried the tap wall of pour your own beer, great concept but the beers are not all that; there was only 1 I would come back to get. Hopefully the owner will change out to learn what the clientele likes. They had a couple of Wines on the tap but one was out at the time. The staff kept up with the dirty glasses and tables and always seemed to have a smile on their face. They definitely need to advertise more ! I only found them cause I saw it on my FB page.

Todd R.

Yelp
Taking away a star for the snarky response from the owner. That's not professional at all.

Gill S.

Yelp
Staff was super friendly and helpful to understanding the tap system. Pizza was super good and you get to see the them going into the furnace. You pay for tap by the ounce and have a little wrist band to get beer. Good selection lots of local beers

Summer H.

Yelp
Food definitely looks better than it tastes, was expecting really good pizza but it was very mediocre. If I wanted fast pizza I would just go to Mod or Blaze pizza.

Noel G.

Yelp
Excellent pizza! Best in a 10 mile radius for sure. Fun little place for a quick bite. Didnt try the Taproom but they looked loaded

Rymonster -.

Yelp
For the prices they charge, I expect more. When they opened, everything was great, but over the last couple of months their enthusiasm toward the customer's satisfaction has declined. They use the absolute bare minimum of toppings on their pizzas, and as of recent, fail to put all the toppings on at all, even though they have charged for them individually. While they do have a selection of overpriced beer (self serve), they have limited (and generic) soft drinks. They don't even serve iced tea... In Texas. *Every* time I have gone in, there have been gnats flying around, landing on the food and drinks. There was also a spider crawling around, too. The owner seems like he has lost interest, and is now just annoyed by the customers The employees are either "bound by franchise rules" or high school kids who don't want to be there in the first place. I'm done with this place. It was great when it opened, but will now head back over to Mod Pizza, where you get when you're paying for.

Mirakol S.

Yelp
Good food! Love the crust! Can't wait to come back and try different pies! Great service as well. Very kind ppl. Also love the space! The vibe is really nice. And they play 80s love ballads

Sean M.

Yelp
I came back in here because we got a $10 gift card in the mail, and my husband got a free pizza through FB. Unfortunately I have to dock it star from my last review. We got in there around 6:15. When I made my order they told me it would take half an hour... I thought wow, that's a long time but ok. In reality, I got my pizza after 45 minutes around 7pm. As I've always noticed, the toppings are just sloppily thrown on and they were very stingy with the toppings. Barely anything on there. I had also asked for pepper and oregano, which was not on it. My husband was in an even worse position - he made his order the same time I did, and he got his pizza around 7:35, OVER an hour after he made the order. He was actually starting to get frustrated and said he was going to walk out if he didn't receive his order by 7:40. Thankfully, a few minutes before 7:40, his pizza came out. They were very stingy with the toppings on his pizza as well, and they actually forgot one of his toppings. Obviously he didn't say anything because he just wanted to eat and didn't want to wait even longer for them to fix their mistake. We were later informed they were having issues with their pizza oven and dough kept burning, etc.... I wish they had informed me of this when I made the order so I could have decided if I wanted to stay or go somewhere else. We spent 2 hours in here waiting on 2 pizza which didn't even include everything we asked for, and a cinnamon knots. 2 hours. I understand that this was out of the staffs control and I don't blame them, but like I said it would have been nice to know this when my husband and I were placing our order (forgot to mention, we ordered and ate in-store). We've given this place 3 chances at this point. I don't foresee us returning after this last experience.

Katie F.

Yelp
I've been here about a dozen times because it's close-by. I return for the convenience more than anything. However, I'm boycotting going here as I've asked every time about the pineapple topping -- and half the time I get a "no problem" and the other half the time I get "no we can't do that" -- they put long spears of pineapple as a topping instead of chopping them up. I politely ask if they can please chop them because the spears are super overpowering and I've never seen pineapple come this way for a pizza topping. Ridiculous and lazy (no, I have not made the request when they are crazy busy or even remotely busy)z The quality of their pizza is OK, definitely not great or leave you longing to return.

Josh M.

Yelp
So I was at the register and I order one pizza. This lady (Shannon!) took SO long to take my order. It was just ONE pizza. This took at least 20 minutes. She never gave me my receipt and seemed to not care about her job. It shouldn't take that long to place an order for 1 pizza?

Charles B.

Yelp
I've been here twice now for "carry out / Take away" service in the past month. Both times I've had similar experiences. The pizza is good, not great. The service is awful, and they don't seem to care. I placed the first order online ( I included a 20% tip trusting that all would go well) and was told when I could pick it up. I arrived a few minutes after the prescribed time and the restaurant was fairly empty with only a few tables occupied. I went to the counter and was told that my order had not been started yet. The woman at the counter found my order on their system and clicked a few keys and said my order would be ready in about 15 more minutes. She did say "sorry" but gave no explanation. I wished I could have at least some of that tip back. Last night I decided to try them again, ordering over the phone. The restaurant was busier since it was a Saturday evening. They were bringing my order to the counter as I arrived. I'm guessing the two people (significantly older than anyone else working at the time) running the counter were the owners, but I'm not certain of that. Unfortunately only 4 of my 5 pizzas were brought up to the counter. The man rang me up "while my dessert pizza is coming out" and I gave another sizeable tip assuming my 5th pizza was being boxed up. I then stood there at the counter for another 15 minutes with no explanation as to why the 5th pizza wasn't prepared, No apology either. When the 5th pizza finally came out the woman handed it to me. I told her, politely, that I'd been to their restaurant twice and both times had to wait 15 minutes because at least one of the items from each order hadn't even been started. I told her I liked the pizza but I wouldn't be coming back if the pattern continued. Her response was simply "thanks for the feedback". No apology, no explanation, and no consideration for my time. I really wish I'd given no tip at all. At the very least an apology is needed. An explanation would have been nice. A coupon would make a third visit a possibility. If I ever go back I'll write another review.

Christy D.

Yelp
Very good pizza and great specialty pizzas! Service is excellent, the Restaurant is very clean and spacious!

Michael L.

Yelp
It's a solid concept but the place lacks execution at this current time. It's a pay by ounce drink concept, with personal size pizzas. The taps on many of the selections were not set appropriately as entirely too much foam. limited selections and line to order pizza was significant during main dining hires - but the three (3) pizza were all fairly good, especially the cauliflower crust option on one of the pizzas. Overall not a bad spot, but execution is not there as of yet.

Carlton C.

Yelp
Horrible service. We had an hour before our movie started in the theater next door. So we thought we'd try this new restaurant. It was clean and well lit when we walked in. The owner, Gary, took our order and was good good about explaining the menu and how the self service adult beverage wall works. There was only one other family in the restaurant when we walked in. We ordered and waited for our order to be brought to the table. After 30 minutes of waiting we realized others who came in after us was getting their order. We went to an employee and ask for a them to check on our order and give us an update. She checked and told us the order was not yet put in. This was after 30 mins of waiting we complained and was told they would take off the pizza from the bill, but still charged us for the drinks and salad. No apology from Gary. No offer to come back with a discount or gift card. Just a shrug of the shoulders and an oh well. So, my review is Smokin Oak Wood Fired Pizza is if someone suggest going there...shrug your shoulders and say no thank you!

Jennifer W.

Yelp
Tried this place twice. There won't be a third. Cauliflower crust was like cardboard. I ordered a pizza with spinach and it came out with 6 plain leaves just thrown in top. Really?? Do better.

Ana M.

Yelp
i swear by this restaurant- my college is right across the street so i'm here religiously. their pizza is so good, it's pretty fairly priced as well, it's priced the same as it would be at a place like MOD. you can build your own or pick from one of their signature pizzas. it's filling enough and perfectly sized. service is amazing- the owner take such good care of everyone and is so sweet. i definitely recommend getting the cinnamon glazed knots, they are SO GOOD. one of my pickup orders didn't go through on doordash once and i was having a hard day and he made me a pizza anyways. it's not too rowdy in here, the environment is pretty nice and good for conversation. there are accommodations for kids. i love everything about this place

Erik A.

Yelp
I stopped in here for lunch the other day with a coworker, not knowing what to expect, but was hugely surprised. They have by the ounce beer and wine so you can try several options or only pour what you want as is the case for my wife. The owner was in that afternoon and was extremely helpful and friendly. We both opted for their sandwiches which consisted of something more like pizza crust with the good on the inside. The owner said longer happy hours will be starting soon, so I can't wait to go back with the family.

Dan W.

Yelp
Good food and we have had very pleasant service every time we have gone. We have gone close to 30 times!

John S.

Yelp
Being very kind with stars here because they are new and the food was good. Great salad and pizza! Slow! I came in with 5 total. Ordered and waited 45 min, then 3 of the 5 pizzas came out. 2 made it out 30 minutes later after the first 3 were finished eating. Why didn't all the pizzas get prepped and cooked at the same time? (Other guests pizzas came out in between ours) It really wasn't very busy at the time I was in. Could have used a bit more help.. Good Luck, you have a great product and I would love to see you very successful!

Jill J.

Yelp
We love this place! the salads and pizzas are great plus there is beer on tap. It's an easy place to take the whole family becauSe there is something for everyone. The staff is nice and the service is quick. We've also ordered take away for a big slumber party and the kids loved it.

Hope L.

Yelp
Great pizza - we have been there twice since they opened! Super clean and The owner is very friendly!

Holly B.

Yelp
The tap wall is awesome. The food is amazing and the owner is super friendly. Definitely recommend!!

Michelle D.

Yelp
My order was not correct, toppings were very sparse and it was inedibly salty. Will not order again. The Caesar was tasty.

LaVonne Y.

Yelp
The self-serve taps had really great choices and even Celiac friendly options. I had a gluten-free cauliflower crust option and was happy it tasted so delicious. The owner was super friendly and very helpful and has a great establishment.

They owner was so nice. I didn't realize the pizza's were personal when I made my to go order. I thought the pizzas were larger and they owner said no sweat and got my order all to gather quickly. Straight up good guy and great family atmosphere!

Yelp
The best pizza I've had in years, maybe ever. Wonderful service too! The staff was so nice, welcoming, and patient. A great family environment. Lots of beer on tap options. Definitely worth the 30 minute drive from our home. We will be back soon!
