Smokin Thighs - Wedgewood

I feel bad for this review, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Service was great and our server was very attentive. The food was mediocre. The dry rub on the wings were SO SALTY. The “side salad” I ordered, was really a plate of shredded cheese with a side of chopped romaine. The corn was bland. The drinks are buy one get one, but make sure they remember to ring that up. The 6pc moonshine flight was as expected, I just wished they labeled which ones were which. Now, we found multiple mistakes on our final bill. They forgot to give us one of the drinks for free, so we were initially charged for $7 each. Then, the chicken wing platter said it comes with two sides, either a loaded baked potato or Mac and cheese—if you get a salad as your side, it’s an extra $4. We weren’t informed about this until we spoke to the manager, who was very nice and apologetic. He ended up giving us the one free drink, but that was it.

The food was fantastic. A friend recommended we eat here and it was worth it! Our 2 teens got the bacon Mac and cheese. We got the chicken nachos and the pile of chicken with mozzarella and pineapple! Everything was excellent, and our server really helped answer all our questions. The local beers on tap were amazing!

Came here on a Tuesday night and enjoyed a moonshine tasting, dinner, and bingo! Great prices and atmosphere, service was great as well! One thing I will say about the food is that the portions are pretty small and the chicken was a little too Smokey for me. I got a chicken salad and it was just okay. Husband got a sandwich that he really enjoyed! Cherry humble pie was delicious. As far as moonshine, I personally loved the blackberry and green apple, my husband likes the strong stuff so he stuck with the most plain flavors that I don’t remember the names of. Would come again! It was a lot of fun!

We tried this place on a Monday night based on the Google reviews I read. And I have to say I was very disappointed First off, the service was good. Even though it took the waitress around 10 minutes to get to us, she was friendly and informative. Secondly, the atmosphere was ok It was a mix between a sports bar and a hole in the wall type restaurant . The establishment was clean and had plenty of tvs. Third, the food. The wings on the bone were seasoned well, had plenty of sauce, but the meat was dry. The barbecue chicken sandwich was also dry. The roasted corn was bland. Mac and cheese tasted like mac and cheese. The only items that had flavor were the cole slaw and the baked beans, which both had some spice to them. That being said, despite having good service, I wouldn't eat here a second time.

Some of the best bbq thighs we ever had! The dump truck of wings was incredible and we all thought they were the best wings we ever had. The waitress was super nice, quick, and did it with a smile! She was super fun with our group and engaged in our banter. The ambiance is like I expected which was a clean southern style restaurant!

The food is good here. I only ever come before a Nashville SC game, so they are always swamped. I do need to come on a normal night to see how the service is under normal circumstances. But overall a great place, and I do enjoy their drinks and their chicken.

HUGE, MOUTHWATERING WINGS!! OMG, sooooo good! Lots of friendly staff, quick to help out. Great location, easy access and egress, plenty of free parking. There is a dog-friendly, covered outdoor area, too. They're were only 2 of us dining, but the Tonka truck full of wings looked awesome when a neighboring table had it brought out. There is a full bar, as well as lots of craft beers available.

The moonshine and spirits were great! I thought the waitress was very nice and helpful. The nachos were alright but overall, the Mac n Cheese was great, but the main dishes really didn't taste very good. The chicken was dry, the portions seemed small, and it wasn't so appetizing.

Came on game day - great atmosphere and super cheap non-draft beer. $6 for 2 tall boys & $15 for a small chicken sandwich + 2 small sides. Everything was cooked well, and while portions weren't enormous, the food was passable. I couldn't tell if the servers were extremely disengaged or there was an understaffing issue, but tables weren't getting served and orders were continuously forgotten. Multiple parties who were sat before us hadn't gotten their food by the time we left.

Returned for the 1st time in years. Sat at the bar and had good service and a solid $7 chicken 'burger' for burger week. Seems like it's always BOGO on beers here... gotta love it. Would come back.

Smokin Thighs is awesome... the food, the serving team, the atmosphere, and the drinks. Trivia night Monday and Bingo on Tuesday - both are big fun and free. Try the moonshine drinks - orange creamsicle will take you back to your favorite treat off the ice cream truck. All the food is great, but hey, their specialty is smoked thighs, so why not. One thing you do not want to do - ask my friend Dave - is order the Nashville Hot Chicken with a side of Jalapeno Mac and Cheese the night before a commercial flight of any length.

Everything here is fire asf! I've been at least 4 times. I go every time I come to Nashville. Highly recommended spot.

Service on a big event night at the stadium next door was seriously impressive. Clearly they were slammed and there were entirely too many people there with a line stretching out to the sidewalk but the staff was hustling to get it done. Specifically the bartender, Abby, she was working harder than any server/bartender I have seen in awhile making drinks for the whole place while staying super friendly with the guests. Management or owners should have had a larger presence with that type of event but Abby deserves a raise for her work last night. The wings were great. Had a good selection of craft beers. Fun atmosphere and is within walking distance of the stadium. Certainly a win.

I highly recommend this place. Good local bbq place, great ambience and service. The food is great! I took my sister when she visited and she loved it!

My husband and I are here and the chicken was flavorful but dry, I felt the Mac and cheese was also dry, I LOVED the potato salad it was delicious and so were the baked beans. We also ordered the queso but it was more sweet than spicy because of the pimento cheese. Our waitress was sweet and prompt. Great service. The ambience was very dark but I think that is more on me than the bar. Also the rolly chairs were a plus.

The chicken was extremely tender & juicy. The Backyard BBQ sauce had good flavoring. The bacon Mac & Cheese and Texas Toast wasn't mouth watering. I loved the feel of the bar with all the old aged barrels and our waitress was a delight.

The first time I went it was because it was so late that nothing else was opened, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I got the pulled pork on Texas toast and it was great! Each meal comes with a few sides from a huge list of options. Service was great and the staff was so friendly and kind. Definitely a fun place to watch a sports game but I will say that I think they could do a better job cleaning! Deducted one star from that but overall will be back :)

Honestly? Better than Princes or Hattie Bs. Would definitely go back for the pile of thighs, and the good drink specials. Definitely loved the Nashville hot dry rub. Both the hottest sauce and the middle sauce were flavorful while still letting the taste shine through. Love that everything was smoked, and smoked well! No strange after tastes here. I've had better banana pudding, but it was still solid. Next time I'll try whatever the special of the month dessert is. Our server (I'm so bad with names, she was tall with pink hair) was quick to give recommendations and was sweet and accommodating of my five million questions. When I'm in Nashville next, it's definitely on my stopping list.

Even though all 4 of us got completely sick from what we deducted was the corn (many hours spent in total on the toilet), I would say it was WORTH IT. The sauced-up chicken wings here are out-of-this-world, as is the deadly corn and mac and cheese. Would come back for that sweet Mac and cheese and those chicken wings any day.

It's giving dull. I think I may have just went at a bad time or off day. I can't imagine all of these good reviews being valid if the experience was like mine. I had smoked wings, Mac n cheese and beans. It all was boring, lack of flavor across the bored. However, the hot and sweet sauce was great on the side, working hard to support the unseasoned wings (although cooked well). The sides were ooookkayyy, nothing to come back for though. Barely was greeted but when I did get a menu it smelled like an old rag. Service was lackluster and the ambience was sleepy. Also ordered a drink...sent it back. For such a nice day the energy was very low, "get in get out" vibes. Not the experience I expected from a spot that's on so many lists for "the best of". Im slick jealous I didn't get to experience how "good" it is the way everyone is bragging lol

The server was very nice. That is the only positive I can offer. Couldn't finish my meal. Mac and cheese was so saturated with oil that it was pooled at the bottom of the cup. The chicken sandwich was no better. Unfortunate experience.

The food was very nice and I liked the outside area here. I did take my 10 month old son with me and after ordering and waiting 10 or 15 minutes, I asked the waitress for a seat for him because she didn't offer. After I paid and got my son back in the car I got my alert for the purchase I made and realized it was for more than my order. I always leave tips in cash so when I looked at my receipt I seen that she had added her own personal tip from my account. The manager handled it without a problem. Just be careful to watch out for the young girl working there.

Service was great! Food was out quick and tasted great. Our servers Becca and Allison were also very nice, will be back!

$16 for this? Nope. Never again. Suppose to be a "pile of thighs," but more like a puddle. Tastes fine but feeling pretty ripped off. Thunderbird murders this.

We love Smokin' thighs ! Fun new branding and same delicious food! :) can't go wrong with the tacos - love the chicken salad Sammie as well - you would think the toast would be too heavy but it's not - it's light and fluffy. Favorite sides include the smoked chicken but we regularly order the loaded potato salad and roasted corn. We love the smoked wings (we travel frequently and get smoked wings all over the country) but think they would be even more amazing if they got a tiny crispier with maybe an air fryer or something? Kevin has amazing customer service at the bar and loves the company and the brand - you must be doing something right if your staff pumps you up like he does this place!

I initially heard about this place after Nashville taco week. I was so surprised that a smoked chicken place had won and immediately added it to my must-try list. The menu is very diverse. It has everything from nachos to burgers, wings, pizza and mac & cheese. I got the Hawaiian flatbread pizza which came with two sides (bacon mac & cheese and kickin slaw). It is a bit on the pricey side but it is a lot of food. The flatbread was so good: warm and soft and just the right amount of toppings. The bacon mac and cheese was slightly disappointing. All the bacon is on top and the cup is too tiny to mix it all together. It was still good but the flatbread was definitely the highlight. The coolest part is that they have a drive through! It does take a bit long to order and get your food but we never had to get out of the car. We were the only car in line but I feel like it would be somewhat problematic if a line started to form.

I must admit I let this restaurant slip by me. I have said for a minute that I wanted to try them and I'm mad at myself it took me this long. Smokin Thighs is really good. The staff is amazing and the food is really good, plus anyone who has koolAid on the menu (and it's really good) says a lot! Overall this is a great environment to get a good bite of food, drink and watch the games!

I mean... the name says it all! Chicken thighs. How could you go wrong?! Welp, they have it All right!! Tender chicken thighs, delicious flavors, friendly and clean service. I can't wait to come back again!

We went to Smokin Thighs for a bite to eat before going to Geodis Park to watch a Nashville SC game. I believe this is one of the few places within walking distance of the stadium and appeared to have good reviews so we decided to check it out. We ordered the 6 piece "jumbo" wings with a dry rub, the Buffalo blue burger and got the coleslaw, bacon Mac and cheese, and roasted corn sides. The food was alright. I wouldn't describe the wings as jumbo, they were kind of small and the dry rub was extremely salty. The burger was pretty decent, probably the item we liked most. The patty was moist and flavorful as were the toppings. The sides were okay, nothing to really rave about. Service seems to be all over the place. We had three different people come over to serve our table. Prices are cheap and they have beer specials.

Well, this was an interesting experience. The woman who was server, has about 400 piercings, is wearing a leather skirt with tights underneath and her boxers going down below the skirt. Hairy armpits and was really awkward and slow. She messed up every single order with sides wrong for everyone. But on top of that, I asked for the spiciest thing on the menu and she gave it to a co-worker who can't do spicy and she's never been so upset When the food came out there was a SWARM of flies that wouldn't leave us or stop landing on our food the entire time we had it out. Our server then asked a while later if we needed anything and we asked for waters. 20 minutes and no water. No check in. Nothing. That being said, it was pretty good. But the experience was pretty comically bad. Update... We asked for waters 20 minutes ago and she never came back. I asked another server to get us a check and she asked if we wanted them together or separate. We said together and our actual server came back with separate checks. Unreal

Great food but not the greatest service. Stopping in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was nearly 2pm so they weren't super busy and we had our pick of tables. My husband, his father, and myself were all brought our drink orders promptly, but it took asking three times for my mother in law to get her drink and it wasn't brought out until after our food. While our server was nice, she wasn't overly friendly and she couldn't get us everything we needed in a timely fashion. We were brought our food and had no silverware. We also didn't get extra napkins until we were nearly done eating. The weren't very busy so I'm not sure what the issue was. There was also no apology for anything. Thankfully the food was pretty good! Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The only thing I didn't like was the coleslaw. It had way too much vinegar for me. The moonshine-arita was a fun take on a margarita. My chicken thighs with jalapeños and bell peppers was really great. Chicken was very moist. I got the Nashville hot rub this time, but next time I'd like to try one of their sauces. I would definitely go back. Hopefully the service won't be an issue the next time around. I'll also choose a different side than coleslaw.

Almost had to go twice on my 3 day trip and I never go to the same place twice on any trip lol. The chicken is that good!

place is honestly gross. Chicken is hard, food is soooo mid. Place looks cool and promising inside but was honestly a complete disappointment. Sad I'm about to spend $50 at this place for unfinished food. Honestly nothing is seasoned right... our waitress got fired mid way through... I haven't felt so dissatisfied in a long time. Do NOT RECOMMEND!!! And no fries :(

The two star isn't for the food (mostly) it's for the absolute worst service I think I've ever had at a place. My boyfriend and I arrived at 6:45 on a Wednesday night. There were two other tables currently in use when we got there-so hurray, not crazy busy. We sat ourselves and about 10 minutes later our waitress finally comes over, after another tells her that we're her table. She was not having a good night-and how do I know this? She told us before taking our drink order, and that it was her third day. I tried to jokingly liven her up and say we were pretty low maintenance and wanted to get beers (because 2 for 1!!). She couldn't tell us what was on the seasonal tap rotation and we were five feet from the bar. The bartender shouted them over. So we ordered beers. She brings them promptly back and takes our food order. My boyfriend cannot have cheese and he's very upfront when he orders to leave it off. We know they put it on the chili here and he said "please don't put cheese on it." He also added (additional cost) two toppings to his sandwich. Our food arrived about 7 minutes later. We were impressed as we hadn't gotten through our first beers yet. He noticed the chili had cheese and two items he didn't ask for were on his sandwich. We had to wait for our waitress to saunter back over-a good five minutes later to correct each thing...one at a time. Then he asked for another beer. Which another waitress ended up bringing over as "our waitress is in the weeds." We eat, food is fantastic as usual once it's correct (this is our second time coming and the food order was wrong the first time so I'm guessing the kitchen is to blame and not the waitress on this part?). I then ask for my second beer when we see our waitress in the vicinity-at this point I think we're her only table as the other waitress is managing all the other five seated tables and takeout orders. Boyfriend orders a second round as it's before 8 pm with happy hour. Beers come at separate intervals but he's got his second chip as well for the drink special. At one point our waitress brings out two more plays of food to us and starts to sit them down-we tell her "we've already eaten, remember the cheese and add ins?" She then wonders around and realizes it's For the table next to us. My boyfriend finally gets his last beer ordered at 8pm with his chip. It sits at the end of the bar for 10 minutes-waitress walks by it twice and looks at the receipt-before I go up and claim it and the bartender puts a fresh one since it's no longer cold. It's another half an hour before we even see our waitress, as she's pulling trash from the restrooms and we ask her for our bill. Finally on this epic journey 2+hours after we've walked in we get the bill. Which we can't see itemized as it's in the e-reader and as my boyfriend is paying realizes they've overcharged us by three beers. They didn't void the charge but rather issued a credit that has yet to process but they sure did send through the bill and gratuity. Needless to say, we won't be back for a long while especially if the correct bill isn't processed.

OMG. The tacos are amazing. I've been here at least once a week for the past two months, and I can't get enough. I'm addicted, like math. Except this drug is chicken thigh, and so damn good. The service is as great as the food, and hats off to Kevin, it was quick friendly, and even had a couple good jokes.

We went on Sunday to watch the football games. Love this place! The food is amazing and our server/bartender was great (even though he is a Dolphins fan). Had a dump truck of wings with the Perfectly Awesome sauce. Our server was so busy but he made sure we had crazy good service! If you haven't tried it, you need too! We go there every time we are in Nashville.

First time at smokin thighs. I came to the West Nashville location. Let me tell you about this place... Food: I had the dark meat - leg quarter. The meat was so tender and juicy, the barbecue sauce was Savory on the meat. For my sides , I ordered the mac & cheese and coleslaw which were both delicious. The night we came was the owner's birthday. As a celebration, all customers got one free drink and they also had free cupcakes. It was a nice touch and was very very appreciated. Drinks: kudos to the bartender for making the best patron tequila I've ever had. He or she didn't skip on the liquor for sure. Environment: super chill and laid-back Service: service was very very nice. Overall I would definitely recommend this place.

Wings were great. Service was good, I think they need new tables though. They're all wobbly. 10/10 would eat here again and we plan on it.

The service was great and the staff was very kind! Was very impressed by the chicken thighs, very soft, well cooked, and tasty. I was a big fan of this locations mac and cheese as well. My only wish were that the portions were larger! But other than that I would highly recommend this location for people to give a try.

The food was actually disgusting. The "jumbo" wings were not jumbo at all And they were not seasoned and flavorless. When I bit into them they were cold after sitting in front of me for only 2 mins, and it came out of the kitchen in 5 mins. Chicken doesn't take 5 mins to cook so it made me think the wings have been cooked earlier that day and were sitting around. The server was friendly but didn't bring utensils and napkins out until 5 mins after our food was out. It took longer to get utensils then to get the chicken.

Yikes, same great food but HORRENDOUS RESPECT FOR PATRONS. We placed an online order for a sandwich and side of mac and cheese (an order that takes about 5 minutes to prepare when you dine in), and were told it would be ready in 15 minutes. So, we waited and then drove over after the anticipated ready time. We told the bartender that we were there and he told us the "food wasn't ready". So, we waited another 15 minutes and no sign of food. Other patrons stood by us also growing impatient due to the discrepancy from estimated time; some left empty handed and fuming. We waited another 15 minutes (THIRTY MINUTES) after the estimated food time. No one acknowledged that we were still standing there, so we again asked the bartender where the food was. "Oh, you're next". Again, it's a sandwich and a side of pre-made mac and cheese. The food was finally given to us five minutes after that conversation. The reason for this downgrade in stars is because: -you should be honest about anticipated food ready time. don't waste our lives by sitting in your establishment -you should acknowledge patrons that are awkwardly waiting for their delayed food, rather than make us feel like we are a bother Everything in life is expectations. This is no different. We brought our dog with us because we thought we would run in and grab the food; he sat in the car for 35 minutes. My husband missed our infant's bedtime because again he thought he would be back in moments. It's a respect thing. Next time tell us that the food will be ready in 45 minutes, rather than 15.

I got the chicken wings. They weren't terrible, but the smoky taste was very overpowering for me. I felt like i was licking the inside of the smoker. This wasn't for me, but if you love smoked meats extra smoked, this is for you!

Visiting Nashville & stumbled across this place on Yelp-we love smoked wings and this place *mostly* delivered. The wings were well smoked, nit quite fall off the bone but yummy nonetheless- sauces were flavorful gringo & sweet/hot. Didn't love the kickin slaw - it was savory. I prefer a sweet slaw but it wasn't gross & slimy like most commercially prepared slaw. Bacon mac & cheese was ok, looser than I like, but tasty nonetheless. Smoked chicken Baked beans were delicious -smoky, sweet & a little bit of heat. Roasted Pile O'Corn. Idk about the roasted part -Was not brag worthy but rounded out the selection of sides.reminiscent of the canned stuff green giant used to make with the specs of bell peppers sprinkled in. Loaded baked Potato Salad. Definitely interesting. Bacon sour cream ; (I guess) Why 4 - speedy, wings were pretty good & very reasonably priced.

First time visit on a night of a big soccer game and it was great! It was our servers 2nd day and she did a fabulous job taking care of us and was very friendly. Food was absolutely delicious and we will definitely be back!

Just had lunch here for the first time. The inside is very dark and almost had a "dive bar feel", so we opted to sit outside. The waitresses were so friendly and happy. The deck is nice and has plenty of TVs to watch a game. I got the mac and cheese, it was so filling and I even had leftovers to take home.

Service was fine, but the food was absolutely disgusting. The wings were slimy and cold. The food came out in 5 mins and was cold and seemed like it was sitting around all day. Don't get the wings. The bacon on the Mac and cheese was like dog food. I genuinely wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. I downloaded yelp just to leave this review in hopes nobody else wastes their money there.

This place is something out of a story book! The service from the wait staff and quality of the food is on a higher standard. I literally have dreams about this Chicken!! I will def will be back.

The place was overrun before the Pink concert. Definitely a place to avoid before events at the stadium. Food was okay, but if you're averse to smoked flavors you'd best avoid. Our waitress was nice and tried hard but was overmatched due to the volume of business.

I don't know who the server was but she was well worth my trip today. I asked when she worked cause I'll be back as long as she is there. I just know she was a beautiful black woman with a pretty smile

Great smoked chicken, both the wings and thighs were flavorful and moist. A bit loud for my taste but it was a younger crowd. Ordered online and it was ready before the appointed time and delivered with a smile.

Yum!! Okay so sorry for the photos it looked so good we jumped right in before I thought "wait let me take photos because I have to leave a review". Anyways. The food was delicious. I had the buffalo burger and my husband (we) had the loaded nachos. They have two for 1 tall boys and had every college game that was on tv on one of their many screens. The customer service was good; fast and efficient just like I like it.

One of the best places in town for nachos! The chicken is amazing and the jalapeños and sour cream add such a kick. Definitely have to try!

Service was great! My partner and I both had wings , forgot to take picture but didn't forget the moonshine shots! The options ranged from Lemon Drop to Pickle Juice! Will be back!
