"The oldest craft brewery in East Tennessee, its original location in Gatlinburg opened in 1996, with the Pigeon Forge, Knoxville, and Maryville locations to follow. “A cross between a Bavarian brew hall, and a ski lodge...with the Smoky Mountains in the background,” the Calhoun Village brewery features six flagship beers on tap, four seasonals rotate several times throughout the year, along with the Brewmaster Special every couple of weeks. Traditional brewpub fare such as wings, burgers, and nachos are always a favorite. But, the pub’s specialty is hand-tossed pizzas and calzones." - Melissa Corbin

Good spot that’s open late (midnight). The Mac n cheese was very good and cheesy. The Ruben was good but meat was alittle tough and fatty for my liking. Environment was good with open spacious room. Service was good and friendly. I would like to go back another day to try some brews.

My hubby and I ate dinner at this location last while on our anniversary get-away. We both had burgers and fries. Both were huge and cooked to perfection. The music playing in the background was enjoyable and the service was nice as well. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. 10/10

A favorite of ours every time we are in town! Highly recommend. Food is always great! Great drinks. Landon was our server this time and even the kids loved him!!! My daughter has a stuffed animal (Bob) and he even played along by telling him bye! Such a silly and fun thing but meant a lot to her. Excellent service from Landon!

This is the place we always end up at the end of our night. Great service by the bartender staff. Tony was awesome. Meat and cheese platter with a side of fries is our favorite late night go to. Oh and mountain light. 🍻

We got into town late and they were one of the restaurants that stays open past 1030pm. Kid friendly! We ordered the fried pickles-delicious Chicken tenders with a side of Mac n cheese-tenders were perfectly cooked and the Mac n cheese was hot, gooey and delicious Wings-sause was perfect! They had live music tonight and it was a perfect beginning for our trip.

Google
Burger, chicken nachos, and the Cherokee Red were all very good. Service was also good. For my fellow brewery snobs: this is a family restaurant that makes and serves beer. It is not a brewery atmosphere and beer is served in a plastic cup, not a pint glass. If you’re coming for good beer and food and need a high chair, this is your place. If you’re coming for a brewery atmosphere, not so much.

We visited to eat and just for drinks and thought it great. The draft beer selection is really good, Cocktails made well, and all the food we had was tasty (especially the baked ricotta dip). They have an area in the centre with high tables just for drinks and they host events like trivia and musical bingo on different days. The servers were all friendly and efficient. Just brilliant. Definitely worth a visit.

Vegetarian Review: This place has very lively vibe. I really like the place. We ordered: 1. Spinach ricotta cheese stuffed pasta - this was really good with marinara sauce 4/5 2. Veggie pizza - I absolutely loved the pizzzaaa. I tried pizza at 2-3 famous places in Gatlinburg but this was better than all of those. Absolutely amazing. 5/5 3. Also got their cheesy garlic bread with pasta and that was out of the world. 5/5 Over-all food and ambience was amazing and worth 5 stars but our server was not that good. I don't know if he was new or lazy. We asked for water in between our food but the water never came till the end. Food was served but cutlery never came. We had to ask multiple times that our food got cold. I had a very bad experience with the server but otherwise it's worth going for food and drinks and hopefully you get a different server.

Yelp
After a long day of hiking out in trails and looking for great pizza and local beers while visiting Gatlinburg? I highly recommend Smoky Mountain Brewery. It's right in the heart of the town on main street and easily accessible. The pizza is tasty, and wings are on point with several different sauces to choose from. The potato skins are unique with the addition of chicken- good but not as good as the wings and pizza. We visit Gatlinburg a few times a year and make a point to stop by for lunch or dinner at least once. Friendly customer service and parking is now available across the street from the location.

Yelp
Smoky Mountain Brewery is one of the original moonshine establishments and has a huge selection of flavors. The atmosphere is buzzing with people. The system to get a tasting is not very efficient and you need to squeeze into a table. I think they've gotten so big they may take their customers for granted since they know they'll get tourists.

Mike S.

Yelp
Stopped here to try the beers, ordered the flight of their main stays and one premium selection, the beers were lack luster for a craft beer joint it lacked any real flavor or character seemed like I was drinking miller light. Service was adequate and the vibe was pretty decent.

Yelp
This place is a little strange it looks great outside but they made us sit upstairs not good for guy with bums knees. We started with the garlic cheese bread. My wife went with a personal pepperoni pizza. While I went with the Philly cheese steak with fries. Not a Military friendly location.

Laura P.

Yelp
Nice menu selections and good food overall. Love the windows so you can see the view better from inside.

Raven L.

Yelp
This place was popping to say the least! When you enter, you head upstairs to the dining room. We opted to sit at the bar, and we're really glad we did! I didn't catch the name of the bartender, but he was impressive! He answered any questions we had, remembered what beers we had ordered, all while checking in on us and making the drinks for others. The sausage and cheese platter was the perfect snacking bite and we split the big city Reuben as it was a large sandwich. This was a great place to stop and have a drink while meandering through downtown Gatlinburg. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a good bite!

Yelp
Outstanding service! Our waiter gave good recommendations and we truly appreciated it. We ordered pizza for the day for everyone to try. Who wouldn't love a pie full of special kind veggies? We tried their brewery nachos, the beer cheese made a difference. The Ole Smoky burger was my pick. Loved how the bbq sauce smothered my bacon. My companions seems happy with their orders. My hubby and daughter sampled two of their ales- ipa and dark ale. No complaints from everybody. Neat dining place. Great staff. The place is located inside a commercial center. Do not alarm, there is plenty of available parking all the way inside.

Yelp
We stopped by Smoky Mountain Brewery because it was within walking distance of the Courtyard Marriott. My wife and I sat at the bar and were served promptly. It was a typical sports type of bar/grill. It had a mix of locals and tourists, and it was the first place I found in Pigeon Forge that didn't feel too touristy. All the beers they have on tap are their own, I tried numerous samples and settled for the Black Bear Ale. My wife had a very good blackberry mojito! The lemons limes and oranges are all fresh-squeezed for their drinks which makes them even better! The best part was the mojitos were only. Worth it. For food, I had hot wings and they were very good also. I was told the brick oven pizza was great but did not order it. We will return to Smoky Mountain Brewery on our next visit.

Yelp
Wife and I ordered burgers. She got the Smoky MT I ordered a Thunder Road. Upon delivery, we both got Smoky MT. The server had left before I noticed, so I had to track someone down to fix it. When she brought it back I got a very mild apology that she misunderstood me. The burger patties were excellent and very well prepared. The flavor was also very good. My thunder road was supposed to have blue cheese, which ended up being a small dollop in the center. I was able to taste it for about four bites. The beers were MEH. Peanut butter porter had very little PB flavor. Chocolate porter was better but not great. They do at least have a decent selection. My wife's whiskey sour was very good. Upon getting the check, the server left the table and didn't return. We got up thinking maybe we needed to go pay at the register. She caught us and very aggressively said "you need to pay at the table." I said "when you don't come back to pick it up, I wasn't sure" to the which she again rudely replied "I was coming back". All in all, food was good, drinks were decent, service was lousy.

Yelp
This was a great place to chill for a bit. Drinks were wonderful and offered local flavor. The meat & cheese tray with the pretzel ap made a really great starter for our group. Pizzas were good & burgers yummy. The staff were great as well. The scenery and atmosphere in and outside was top notch! Even their parking lot was pretty and offered a little park to chill at. So no pic, we were a little hangry so no time for pics

Allison P.

Yelp
We ordered the cheesy garlic bread, he got the kickback burger w/fries & the IPA, and I got the California chicken burger w/broccoli & beer cheese & the porter. The food was great! The service was also friendly and decently quick. I liked the many large windows too. Only wish they had a larger beer selection and the quality of their drink-ware could be better (beer served in significantly scratched plastic cups).

Yelp
If there's one thing you need to get here - it's definitely the onion rings. They are the onion rings of my dreams! Light and flaky, just like how Cheddar's used to have (IYKYK). I've been searching for some battered like this since Cheddar's stopped serving them. The sauce with them is a MUST as well. Our server was great and attentive the whole night. She seemed busy but definitely met all of our needs. This definitely is more of a casual, sit down restaurant. Lots of TVs around to watch some games. We put our name in without a reservation and got in within 10 minutes or so!

Melissa S.

Yelp
We stumbled upon SMB while we were walking through town. The flight is a great value - we were able to try 15 different brews including three brewmaster picks and two stouts. We left with a growler and a sample 6-pack. We weren't super hungry, so shared the sausage and cheese app. It was delicious! The pimento cheese was awesome, the sausage was tasty, the pickles were great. A wonderful snack that we were able to take back to our cabin and snack on later. We didn't try anything else, but would recommend a visit. Our server, Dave, was friendly and knowledgeable. Glad we stopped in!

Chanelle T.

Yelp
A great spot for a bite to eat and a cold drink. I loved the atmosphere and the music playing. We decided to just get a few appetizers and my husband got the Cherokee Ale and enjoyed it. I just got a sangria. It was good, but not wonderful... but the price point was pretty good, especially for the area! We shared the potato skins and the meat and cheese plate. I really enjoyed the meat and cheese appetizer! I never would have thought to add bbq sauce as a dipping sauce to bread, meat, and cheese, but I really enjoyed that addition. This place is also where you want to go to watch a game on TV. The staff was very attentive to the guests needs both at the table, and on the screens. Also, we saw a bear roaming nearby to this brewery so that was a huge plus!

Yelp
We were in Gatlinburg for 3 nights and eat here for 2 of those nights, the pizza is as good as the sign states "Best in town" We ordered 2 different pizzas and both were equally as good, the ambiance is nice but when too many kids are in the house it gets loud. The service was kind and on point and the pricing was on the low end of the average range throughout all the Gatlinburg restaurants

Deborah W.

Yelp
This is the second Yelp review I've ever made. This is the absolute worst pizza I ever had. It wasn't even cooked. The sad part is the first Yelp review I ever made was for the same place 5 years ago, and it was the best pizza I ever had. How you go from best to worst is beyond me. But y'all better figure it out or you won't be in business much longer. I'm only leaving one star bc it won't let me leave zero stars.

Michael M.

Yelp
First night we were in town we decided to stop and get dinner here. The beer was great, the service was great. The food was ..... not so good overall. We got the garlic bread that was fantastic, but then came out the calzone. The top was burnt and then we discovered after biting in that the dough was still raw on the edge. Get the pizza or something else, but stay away from the calzone.

Anna F.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to eat when we're in town. In fact, we were there this past weekend and ate here twice. You can't go wrong with the pretzels, fried pickles, and naked wings with thunder road sauce. Prices are decent as well. Beer is solid and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Kaytlen K.

Yelp
Fast service, good location, not too loud/ rowdy for a brewery. And we loved the food it was pretty good for the prices.

Abby M.

Yelp
A perfect spot after a long hike in the mountains! We had spent the day hiking and were looking for a casual spot for drinks and food, and this did not disappoint! We started with a flight of beer, which was such a good deal! We sat at the bar & the bartender was so helpful with recommending her favorites. They had all kinds of beer, including some really good ciders! We also ordered a pepperoni pizza & pretzels with beer cheese. The pizza was the perfect size and delicious. And the beer cheese was AMAZING. Super great food for a brewery! Also, the place is enormous. It was packed, but they have 2 floors with a ton of seating to accommodate for busy days. We got right into the bar when we put our names in!

Bhanu C.

Yelp
Tried the brewmaster, veggie pizza, baked wings and their original wet wings. The brewmaster is chicken based pizza; the chicken was stale and very dry, would avoid it at all costs. The veggie pizza was much better with fresh ingredients, it needed a little kick, maybe addition of some spicy sauce would've been great. The naked wings were subpar and overdone; the spicy sauce they had was sour and didn't have a good flavor. The original wet breaded wings were average, not bad. Overall, my impression of the place was subpar food, friendly staff and decent ambience.

Ben R.

Yelp
Food was good Wait was short Stopped for dinner, I do not regret it recommend for food

Nick W.

Yelp
It took over an hour to get our food and when we spoke with the manager he did not care one bit, didn't even apologize. The server was nice but never checked on us to let us know what was going on or anything like that. I have ate here many times but this one was not good at all.

Carmen Y.

Yelp
This place had OK food but didn't want the outstanding service to go unnoticed! The margaritas were very subpar and the French fries were room temp-I think we got the bottom of the basket. The burgers we ordered were actually very good! Fish and chips were also very average. Our sever was so great! Quick, attentive and always bringing what we needed, refilling drinks, etc. They were setting up for live music, which looked cool.

Eric B.

Yelp
I have never written a negative review, so let me just start by saying that it hurts my heart to do so. I first off want to warn people of color and of alternative non-mainstream white society to avoid this place. The vibe is super discriminatory. As a person of color and a behavioral psychologist, my first impression was that these folks pick and choose who to pay attention to. We were promptly seated by a super friendly hostess on the second floor and from that point it ended. No one said a word to us after that. We were never served or acknowledged. The two waitpersons in the area walked around us and never looked at us. A family of apparently mainstream people came in after us and were seated next to us. They were promptly served and we were promptly ignored. We exited the facility and in doing so talked to some other people of color who had been served. They were not happy. They stated that they had been waited on (YAY!!) but felt that this establishment does not like our kind since for the most part they were handed their food and then ignored. So while I'm not saying the establishment is racist, let's just say they would have no problem winning an award from some of our friendly nationalist and white supremacist organizations.

Todd J.

Yelp
We walked in on a Friday night after we were told by 4 other restaurants on the main strip that the wait was 1.5 hours for a party of five. In less than 5 minutes we were seated with cold beverages in front of us. Food was really good, and the Stromboli's were effin huge. Dining area and bar were clean and well maintained. TV's all over the place. Will definitely be back.

Maria M.

Yelp
Man, i love love me a good brewery, usually the food is some of the best you can get and the beers are take a growler home worthy! I hate giving bad reviews but in a town with 50 million places to choose from when it comes to food, some with famous faces attached.. I feel like you need to stand out, up your game, make a statement. The statement made at Smoky Mountain Brewery restaurant sadly wasn't a good one. Our waitress was awesome but that was one of the few good things and I wish I could remember her name! Fried pickles although served with some weird tasteless dipping thing the pickles themselves were good Mushroom Swiss burger.. they tried putting lettuce pickle and onion on it which is a no go in my book but once I got all that off, the burger was actually good and cooked well My daughter said her burger was "ok" and the Mac and cheese looked like it came from one of those microwaveable cups and she said it tasted horrible (then offered me a taste, as if!) The tots and fries tasted like they were friend in oil produced in the age of the dinosaurs change the oil people! We did a beer "tasting" they didn't call it a flight.. they were all decent beers all tasted very similar but nothing that made me wanna buy a T-shirt and a six pack to take home (which I'm known to do in a brewery) Thankfully we were starved from a. Day of driving and scarfed it all down anyway but we won't be back to this dark dingy brewery PS: sticky dirty menus is a no for me friends

Chris B.

Yelp
Good selection of food and beer. Fun night with Trivia on Wednesday was a bonus. Great service.

Thomas M.

Yelp
The pizza is phenomenal. Toppings, sauce and crust always perfect. Every-time we visit the area this place is on our list. A lot of times it is very busy but the service is always top notch and friendly. Wings are very good but we go for the pizza. Excellent.

Dale B.

Yelp
This is a very large facility. However they are having to reduce their service level due to Covid restrictions. This created a long 40 minute wait at prime time dinning on a Friday night. We heard others were quoted 1.5-2 hour waits after we placed our name. The interior of the facility is nicely decorated, wetland comfortable. Everyone had to dine upstairs which was okay. Our hostess was kind and honest with her wait information. Our waiter struggled at times to stay focused on serving all his tables. However, he managed to keep all the refills and items coming to our table. For dinner we ordered a Caesar and house salad. Both salads were very tasty and had incredible presentation. The ingredients were all fresh. The house salad had a very good variety of toppings that really surprised & pleased me! We also ordered a Bakers Choice pizza. The pizza came out in an appropriate amount of time. The crust was kind of soft but chewy. It didn't have any unique taste...just a flour/dough taste. There was a moderate amount of sauce. The sauce didn't add any unique or specially attractive taste. I thought the amount of toppings, for a multi ingredient pizza was a little light. Overall the pizza was good...but not outstanding.

Geoffrey P.

Yelp
I liked the ambience, wood and big windows, as well as the beer. The helles was good. The pizza was bad. Really bad. A frozen pizza is better. We had a Caesar salad, which was good though. The dressing was real and made with anchovies. The service was also good. I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but unless you're into bad pizza I'd try something else.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Was there the first Friday in November with friends. Had a flight of beer, played music trivia which we really enjoyed. Had pizza and appetizers. All were good. Just be careful sometimes they auto add the gratuity to the check which I didn't catch. So our waitress was well taken care of.

Paige D.

Yelp
Great sports bar and brewery! Awesome burgers, appetizers and variety of drinks! I got the fried pickles, quesadilla and California burger. Definitely try the 5$ flight or a Mules! The food came out very fast. Server was great. The atmosphere was cozy and fun with live music.

Kalinda C.

Yelp
The restaurant was nice inside but the table location and non welcoming servers started the visit off on the wrong note. We were sat in the sunniest booth we would have needed sunglasses it was just very uncomfortable. Our server seemed mad but not with us. Whatever you do try.... just DON'T try the hamburger it is awful. The onion ring and nachos appetizer was delicious! My kids loved the appetizers. The kids both order personal sized pizzas and they said it was "good but too greasy". The advertised board said they had happy hour when we were there but we were told you could only order happy hour at the bar. That was disappointing. The restaurant was nice enough but I would never return because of the unfriendliness and the food was just okay for the price. They need help with coaching staff and servers. Plus highlight the best food.

Max A.

Yelp
I didn't see this coming. So many fails, where do I begin? First off, the Pigeon Forge location is awesome. We have been there at least three times and never been a let down. Our bartender with a heavy accent was just not friendly, nor attentive. We ordered Brewery Nachos, extra beer cheese. 45 minutes later, we had to ask where the appetizer was..... We were served cold nachos, cold chili and the extra cheese was so cold that it hardened. See my picture. The amount of chili was tiny. This was a total let down, we cancelled our second round of beer. So much for a main course, we just wanted out of this establishment. The snotty bartender didn't bother to apologize or acknowledge. Don't bother with this place, there are better alternatives.

Kayla S.

Yelp
Beer was great. Good not so much. We ordered the shrimp app and the shrimp was TINY def frozen and not great. Upstairs bar floor was HELLA sticky.

Mary R.

Yelp
Beautiful exterior! But less than satisfactory with customer service. When you enter the building you are downstairs. They had staff down there, but no one said hello or notify you to go upstairs to get a table. We stood there for about 10 mins when we ourselves decided to just walk upstairs. There was no sign stating to go upstairs either. Once upstairs we were seated right away. However, we had to ask for them to clean our table because of a few crumbs and spilled food from before. Their beers were okay. My craft beer loving taste buds thought they were mediocre. Did not leave the place with to go beers that was available. I ordered the Brewmaster master special- red IPA. It was the better tasting one of all their beers. If you are like my in laws who prefers light beer like Michelob ultra....don't get the mountain light. Michelob ultra has more flavor. Just order a regular IPA. We ordered our foods. But it took a little long to get hour plates and utensils. So my food and I had a staring contest as I waited for utensils. My husband ordered the their phillycheese steak. That's what allowed me to give them a 3/5 stars. Parking: You either pay $10 or spend $10 in the stores/restaurants in that parking area. Keep the receipt that shows you spend over $10 and free parking!

Kevin M.

Yelp
Great brewery located on the opposite end of Parkway from the other brewery in town. The bar is upstairs and has a really cozy atmosphere. It almost reminds me of an Alpine lodge in many ways. I visited on a Wednesday night and several people were playing a trivia game. Pretty neat. Even though the whole restaurant was full, it was easy to get in and get a seat at the bar. The menu is diverse and the beer is good. It's got a great vibe. If you're in Gatlinburg and like beer, this is a "must visit."

Desiree S.

Yelp
We came for a fun night; after hearing the live music from the outside and that's exactly what we we had. A great date night. Amazing food, including a modified vegan option. I do have to do a shout out to Davelin, which ensured we were OK and our service provider, Token, which was patience with us and ensured my vegan meal was perfectly served.

Reed G.

Yelp
Good food, great service, amazing deals on beers especially the beer flights!!! Our server was amazing! She did everything from waiting our table to running the bar and cleaning the restaurant.

Kate B.

Yelp
Waited about 30min on a Monday evening for a table. Fun area to walk around while you wait. The Ole Smokey Burger was decent. Tater tots weren't great. Spinach artichoke dip was good. Our server Karley was awesome and changed the tv facing us to the Bills game so that was awesome!

Karen K.

Yelp
I wasn't overwhelmed, but I wasn't underwhelmed either. The buffalo chicken tenders didn't come out buffalo, but we still ate them. Delicious with ranch. The pizza reminded me of Chuck E. Cheese pizza, but a tad better. It wasn't the best I've had (I mean, I grew up on Chicago pizza, so I'm a little biased), but it really hit the spot that night. We sat upstairs, and it appeared they were setting up for live music, but we didn't stay long enough. The beer flight was okay. I wasn't wowed. Some of the options weren't even available. If I come back to this area, I may or may not come back. But it's worth a try.

Christina S.

Yelp
What a wait! There's a brewery is in a hidden little strip, would you have to actually really be paying attention to locate. It is very busy and very popular. We had to wait over an hour for a table. However, there is plenty of seating outside and some little shops if you are there early enough, when they are still open. They are definitely social distancing with the table, which is much appreciated. Once inside, it is a very cute downstairs area which they are not utilizing. They are using the upstairs and they have live music at 9:30. Our waiter was awesome, he was pretty busy, but try not to miss us when he could. We ordered the pretzels and the wings with the house sauce. It was sweet and slightly spicy. The pretzels came like five! I would have rather just one large pretzel, but hey, the more the merrier! The beer cheese was delicious! We then ordered a chicken Philly for dinner, which I could have done without. It was very dry and it did not have any flavor although we added jalapeños and mushrooms. I could have done without. It was very dry and it did not have any flavor although we added jalapeños and mushrooms. The beers were awesome! My husband got some to go and had two glasses while we were there. They did not hesitate to give samples either. This is definitely a must go to while in the area. I mean look at the name!

Amie G.

Yelp
Great place to take the family and they had karaoke when we went. Service was nice but not exceptional. That calzone was as big as the plate and delicious. One of the best I have ever had. That cheese was just oozing out. The onion rings looked pricey but you got A-Lot and it was also good. Get the calzone, I repeat get the calzone

Isadora T.

Yelp
Sooo delicious!! We did not have any dinner plans and then stumbled upon this place. Great decision! The place is cozy and our server Amanda B was incredible! Will return and recommend to all!!

Lauren K.

Yelp
Hidden gem with great beer and pizza! We stumbled upon this hidden restaurant and ended up going back two nights in a row for dinner. We did the beer sampling and ended up ordering more of Hellas and Black Bear Ale. The New York pizza with boneless wings was INCREDIBLE!! Also ordered spinach artichoke dip and potato skins for appetizers which were 10/10. The atmosphere was great with SINGO (song BINGO) at the bar and a cabin like setting.

Wes M.

Yelp
We come here at least 2 times every time we are in town. It is literally one of the best pizzas we have ever had. I have looked at other reviews and some of these people must live in pizza capitals to give bad reviews. The crust is one of the best ever and the sauce is delicious not sweet the way it should be. The toppings are fresh and good. So much flavor!!!

Britt D.

Yelp
Food was good. Service is very good. Nice choice of beers on tap with many choices.

Lisa M.

Yelp
The food was great. The staff was even better. I'd go back just for the friendly experience that is so hard to find these days.

carly g.

Yelp
The man who was working when we were there, was working his ass off. He was bartending, serving, and bussing. He killed it! The beers were great- I got a Helles during happy hour and it was 2.25. We came back later in the evening too!
